Finalizing sway plan- quick question about frequency

    Hi ladies!
So after a year of reading and planning- this month we will be officially TTC a girl. I'm pretty happy with my sway plan but I can't seem to make up my mind about what frequency pattern to go with.

I know lately Atomic has been suggesting people drop frequency all together and just focus on one attempt at +OPK but after months of reading about FR, I can't wrap my mind around anything else. I guess I'm just looking for some advice/reassurance about what exactly to do regarding frequency.

    Thanks!!

This for me too! I feel like FR is too much for my dh, but am afraid one attempt won't be enough :-/

One attempt at + opk has the best results so this is what I'm planning to do. My dh could never do FR and I wouldn't want him to anyway. If you are worried about only one attempt I would forgo any douches, rephresh, sylk, etc and don't j&d.

Thanks for the responses ladies! My husband and I did a test run with the FR last month and we both found it exhausting!! So I'm glad the stats are showing that it's not that important!

I guess my main question though would be, what kind of release pattern should we shoot for before +OPK? I was originally thinking we would do a release EOD starting on CD6 and have our attempt on CD14- but I'm not sure if that's the best plan or not. Does anyone have a frequency pattern plan they feel awesome about and want to share?

I think DTD EOD sways blue. You could try the sperm meets egg plan and go for every four days...

Atomic has been recommending DTD every 4 days then another attempt at pos OPK - best of both worlds

A LOT of things have to come into consideration when deciding what frequency to use. Age, health, what your husband is willing/able to do, and so on.

If you really can't wrap your brain aroudn trying without frequency, then by all means include it. But PLEASE don't get 2 BFN with frequency + one attempt and then decide "Oh I can't get pg this way" and start adding attempts. And please be cautious on diet and don't be overly strict with yoruself because the odds are that you are not going to get pg doing everything and you will waste away to nothing and stop ovulating before you ever get in an attempt with a decent shot of conception.

One attempt IS enough if you do it at the right time and don't use 7 zillion other sway tactics (most of which have gotten barely better than 50-50 anyway)

One attempt is sitting at 75% regardless of timing and frequency. I and several others got girls DTD every 4 days thru the cycle, because it means you effectively have one real attempt in fertile window.

I think that it's best to have DH release or DTD protected, every 4 days and then have one attempt at pos OPK (regardless of whether that shakes out to 4 days after last release or not)

I would not have him release every other day, I think for big producers that could inadvertently sway blue and for guys who take longer to recover, could possibly be too depleting.

this is DTD UNprotected though. if having DH release on his own or using barrier method birth control, it is ok to do more frequent releases. The DTD unprotected every 4 days ensures that there will ever only be one real attempt in fertile window regardless of when ovulation occurs
