I was just reading through all the new posts and saw that no one has answered your first question...I saw around 3 or 4 frequency/abstain questions others have asked in the past two days and they give really good detailed answers..so you might want to read those :-) was just trying to help :-) good luck!

Frequency doesn't seem to sway much ie frequent release or abstain but one attempt at positive opk is getting good results. Well one attempt period is getting good results. It's just you have best chance of pregnancy a day before o. And as far as water goes I think you are wondering because of ions or maybe minerals right? Most of use don't believe these things sway so I don't have the info on that. To my understanding atomic doesn't believe they sway either but if you want to include it I think she might have the info for that .

No problem. If you want to include those things then that's your call we try to give the advice that ppl want even if we don't necessarily agree with it. I don't personally believe that xx loves acidic cm. I think it's more likely that acidic cm kills off more xy and xx sperm low sperm seems to sway girl but obsessing over ph sways boy. Obsessive things seem to sway boy because it raises testosterone. We can low sperm numbers by dh taking licorice root and havering one bd attempt at positive opk or bd once every 4 days

I don't see how sparkling vs flat water could sway...where I live nearly everyone drinks bottled sparkling and no flat water ever, but in the US it is reversed, both places have the same proportions of boys to girls.

For my girl it was an O+12 attempt. I get really significant O pains so I am almost positive my girl was an O+12. She was also one attempt from at least a 7 day abstain. DH also has a long commute so he was in the car that day for 3 hours. I also did what I could to basically wreck my health. Who knows which of these things was most important but I have a DD after thinking there was no way I could have a girl.

One thing that is highly recommended and seems to be getting good results is to BD every 4 days. That way you are getting one attempt in the fertile window and are not obsessing over OPKs. You could still use OPKs though if you wanted to.

Hi Cristina!
This is our first month TTC. We did FR and 1 BD at +OPK. DH actually released the morning of +OPK and we BD later. All of the LR that he took didn't seem to have any effect on his sex drive or amount of semen (at least he didn't think it did). Will keep you updated as to whether or not we get PG this month. I'm 9DPO and testing like a lunatic!

Hi and welcome, thanks for patience.

1)We do not know and never will know without a scientific study involving thousands of people doing nothing else to sway. Two different groups of people DO those tactics and so our statistics are very misleading on the issue.

Keeping one attempt is most important.

Men over 35 shouldn't do abstain so that is one consideration. Another is what your husband is even willing/able to do. Some men won't abstain, others won't or can't do FR.
