Unplanned pregnancy: what are the chances it's a girl?
I have two beautiful boys, a 3-year-old and a 9-month-old. DH and I really wanted a girl, so decided to look into adoption to "guarantee" that. However, I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant. Obviously, this was unplanned!
I had just weaned DS2 and only had one period after that, so I have no idea what my post-weaning cycle looked like or when I ovulated. I thought we were in the safe zone, so when we were celebrating our five-year anniversary, we were not as careful as we should have been. It looks like I might have ovulated later than expected. Here are some key factors:
CD 18: BD (Also ate a steak)
CD 20: BD X 3 (You saw that right. What can I say, we were excited to be on a romantic getaway!)
CD 21: BD
CD 22: Ovulation pains
Diet: Was not monitoring at all!
Lube: Used ID Glide
CM: Was not monitoring, but don't remember seeing EWCM
Age: I am 37 and DH is 32. Also, FWIW, I have three sisters and DH has one sister.
I should add that this was VERY different from the times the boys were conceived. With them, I went to acupuncture; BD'ed multiple times before, during, and after O; took guafenisen; and used Pre-Seed. It took me 3-4 months to get pregnant both times.
Any guesses as to what the baby's sex will be? In the meantime, I am trying to mentally and emotionally prepare for being a mom to THREE boys!

Each time there is a chance. Life is what happens while we are busy making plans. Certainly takes all the stress out of swaying!

It's better to look back on life and say: "I can't believe I did that" than to look back and say "I wish I did that".

There is always a chance of either gender. I don't play guessing games with pregnancies, because there is absolutely no way to know, and it only causes false hope or false despair for people.
Wishing you the very best and hope it's your girl.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
