When to start diet
I have about 14-15 months before ttc, I was going to start weight watchers next week as I want to loose about 20ish pound which brings me to healthy bmi, but I've been thinking would I be best to leave starting and start maybe 6 months before ttc. My plan is to do ww and then 3 months before ttc do le diet just don't know whether to go we now, will prob gain a few pounds back with Christmas and holidays that's just how it goes and then I get back into it. This time I've had a longer break of 3 months as I've not dieted whole the kids have been on summer holidays from school. Following on from our holiday to majorca in June. But was going to go back next week to try and loose some for Christmas. What do you think?

I think people are putting a bit too much thought into having perfect timing on weight loss an when to TTC and stuff like that. I think you should go ahead and lose what you can lose now on whatever diet you prefer, then when you're closer to sway, you can hit it on LE Diet.

I think 12 weeks on the LE diet is ideal, and remember, you can always eat more cals if you don't have weight to spare. I personally think how/what you eat matters most. Losing weight is a bonus but not necessary.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Thanks everyone think ill go to ww as planned and have a look whats involved in le diet an maybe start trying to encorpate some bits slowly. I think but could be wrong that its good to have milk which I don't like an only ever have in tea but if that's right u could maybe start trying to have a glass a day or something like that to start with or look at another aspect and change that.
Do you think it would be benificial to start any sups so far ahead? Say calcium as I prob dont get much with not having milk or yoghurt and I've always been the same in that way as I don't like anything milk based! it's fine though if everyone thanks it's best to leave sups until way closer bit thought I'd ask! :-)

You don't need dairy OR calcium/supps, those actually sway boy if you consume enough.

calcium and dairy stuff is a matter of very great debate. I got my daughter without it after 4 boys with tons of the stuff. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...roversial.html

Follow your heart! It was easy for me to know what to do because I had always eaten tons of dairy and gotten all boys, and then my 4th was a failed sway where I was taking 600-800 mg calcium a day plus magnesium and Vit. D. So I knew that it didn't work (at least for ME) and was very easy to give it all up to get my DD. But you have to do what feels right to YOU and not for anyone else.
