With seasons, is it only the conception date that sways or when your last period was too?
Hello AS,
With seasons, is it only the conception date that sways or when your last period was too?
For example if someone conceives on 1st of March, will this be what is considered to sway pink even if their last menstrual cycle was in February or do both the menstrual cycle and conception date need to be in Spring to trully sway pink?
I know this is not the strongest variable in a sway, but I already decided to wait a little due to difficult labour with DS and I thought it would be good to use this variable too...
Thanks a bunch

Conception date
I don't believe in the seasons at all having conceived both gender in same months/seasons and girls in boy seasons.

It doesn't work like that. Your body doesn't look at the calendar and think OMG March, time to conceive a girl. It has nothing to do with calendar months, it's that there is a gradually rising peak and trough of boy/girl conceptions by SEASON and NOT month. We just refer to the months because it helps us know when that peak is, but the peak is just around about that time - very likely the rate of girl conceptions in N Hemi begins to rise in February, peaks in April, then starts to decline, while at the same time the rate of boy conceptions drops during that same time and is at its lowest.
So it makes absolutely NO difference if it is AF or conception date. If you had your period in Feb (or even Jan) and got pg in Feb, Mar, Apri, May, early june, that's all good.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

IT's no magic bullet, that's for sure, but a couple of pretty well done and reliable studies have shown a slight and consistent seasonal variation in gender ratio for those living in temperate (4-season) climates. not worth rearranging when you want to TTC, but still, if you can swing it, may be something to include if possible.
I got 2 boys in girl peak and my girl in boy peak - but I do still believe in it because the science indicates there's something to it.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Sorry to butt in. Both of my sons were conceived in peak girl season, February and April. So please don't place too much emphasis on this unless it's just a small part of your sway.
