Oh no, that's making me nervous. I'm using the CB on top saying not fertile and have been for six months. No wonder I'm still TTC.

I agree with you, I also feel that the pink one is in tune with my ovulation symptoms. I'm never surprised when the smiley shows up.
But attempt at pos OPK doesn't seem to work for me so this month I'm moving on to E4D and hope so bad it will do the trick this month.
Good luck to you2012

I've always used the top ones and they've always worked perfectly for me. It looks like ovulation is close for you though so it could turn positive anytime. As far as I'm aware the top one keeps a record of each result so if your LH suddenly rises a lot from the last test it can go positive. This is why ideally you should stop testing after the first positive as after the LH peak it will start to fall so the test will probably go negative pretty soon even though you're still fertile. That is unless you catch the hormone before the peak. I think you're fine to bd 1-2 days before an attempt with a good chance. Try to avoid the panicy extra attempt(s)

Ok. Unfortunately O symptoms can happen before, during, and yes, even AFTER ovulation. So waiting for the one that "aligns with your symptoms" may mean you are completely missing ovulation!!!
The reason why you should always go with the first positive OPK is that is ~probably~ the most sensitive OPK. It is possible to get pregnant from an attempt "too early" (meaning 1-2 or even 3 days before O) but it is IMPOSSIBLE to get pregnant from an attempt too late (either after O, or so close to O that hubby's sperm does not have time to capacitate and make it to the egg in time) Please go with FIRST positive OPK of any brand regardless of what your symptoms seem to be telling you.!!! Hey there I've used both.....not sure if you're taking both tests at the same time, but if u can, I would test twice a day. Reason being, u can test in the morning and get a negative and test again in the evening or afternoon and get a positive, def has happened to me multiple times! So if you're only testing early in the day u could miss it.
As for your original question, these tests are very sensitive and if one detects a rise in LH I would trust it, it could be slightly more sensitive and just detected it a tiny bit sooner (or if u used that test after the other, it could be the first situation in the previous paragraph).

2 weeks before. Keep in mind that many people think they actually sway blue and WANT to be on them for their sway. OPK are fallible. We use them because it's the best technology we have, but...
