    Late ovulation

I think I may be ovulating later than normal this month.. of course it’s the month that we are ttc a girl! So it looks like we have BD’d 5 days prior to ovulation.. google tells me that BD this far ahead of ovulation sways boy?? Is this correct? We are also doing LE diet, abstain, baby aspirin.. if that makes any difference thanks!

No, Google is not correct on that, the concept of timing has been completely debunked by scientists using modern technology to properly determine when ovulation occured. All the old studies (including the ones that clam 5-6 day cutoffs sway blue) did not determine when women ovulated by any reliable means. There are about 50-50 boys and girls conceived every cycle day.

The real problem with this long a cutoff is that you have slim to no chance of conception. Most of the people who think they got pregnant with such a long cutoff actually ovulated sooner than they thought.

It is totally up to you what you want to do. I would personally consider having another attempt, but it's fine since it's your first month TTC to choose to stick with the one attempt! Whatever you would prefer to do, it's your sway, your way!

Thank you! That’s really helpful and makes sense. I think I’ll try for one more attempt this cycle.

I ended up getting a bfp this cycle which I’m very nervous about! So we ended up BDing on Sunday and Thursday. I ovulated on Friday. Would you count this as one or two attempts?

Also is FR every day plus release 8hrs prior to BD considered CFR?

    Thank you again!!

congrats! Sounds like one attempt to me, if you think of the e4d pattern which can be 72hours, Sunday Thursday would be well beyond that. I think...

    That is one attempt.

No, that's not enough to be classed as CFR but it's fine and would only sway pink.
