    Driving myself insane

    It’s my first month of trying, it’s day 13 and I am driving myself insane with OPK’s

    I was originally going to start out with E4D but thought one or two months of one attempt would be fine.

    It’s not.

    I’ve had o pains on and off since day 11 and the lack of smiley face is giving me anxiety, I keep thinking I’m using them wrong and I’m going to miss this month.

    I should just start E4D tonight right? This stressing cannot be good :/

    Sometimes being on the LE diet can make your ovulation date change. I always ovulated day 13-14 when I got pregnant with my first three but when I was swaying pink I was ovulating day 17. Sometimes using the regular line opk so you can actually see the test line gradually getting more dark everyday than using the clear blue digital closer to o date. Don’t stressed! And stick with one attempt

    Thank you! I can stick with my new and expensive hobby for a bit I guess!

    I think it’s the random o pains making me paranoid, not that I even know if they are o pains or just gas or something (I guess)

    ARe you eating enough? Taking any herbs? Have you lost a large amount of weight very fast?

    It sounds to me like O may be delayed so what I'd have you do is attempt now just to cover, and then EITHER keep doing the OPK or do e4d from here on in, in the MOnday/Friday pattern since you're just starting off. (Not those days per se, just that's how you count the days)

    You can get O Pains for days and days before ovulation. I nearly always have O pains for 5-7 days before O and a couple days after, too. Swaying can change your cycle so you experience things that have never happened before but they are still normal.

    Yup eating enough (not great at sticking to the diet :/) only lost 4kg in 12 weeks (and I have lots and lots to spare) and no herbs except folic acid

    I think I’m just paranoid, since I was really hoping to get the first egg after BC (twins and girl) and I keep thinking I’m going to miss it somehow! The o pains also made me paranoid, mostly because ive been on BC for a year so didn’t have any and now lots for days so again, worrying I missed o.

    Waiting for OPK is triggering my control freakness, I think I’ll go back to the original plan of E4D since I can’t calm down about it!

    I totally agree with Princess Mom about the regular OPK with the lines, I just use cheapy ones and they are worry free, I just use one a day and I can slowly see my levels rise and usually on the day I think my line is strongest I might do a 2nd test in the evening which almost always confirms I am about to ovulate. I've never used the smiley face ones and they sound a little stressful because you have no idea where you're at with hormone lvls.

    Haha and of course today I got a smiley face.

    We did an attempt last night (husband was getting annoyed about waiting so placated) I assume that counts as my one attempt and I shouldn’t do one again tonight?

    Agh sorry only just now saw this - I'd have had you stick with the one attempt since it's the first month out. I like you guys to give it 2-3 months with one attempt before adding attempts.

    Husband said “we are not doing this waiting crap next month” so here is hoping I get bfp this month, otherwise it’s E4D for a while I think!
