Implantation bleed - can it be brown blood?

    Hi ladies,

Today is CD19 for me. 7DPO.

This afternoon, I felt cramping/heaviness like a period and I have brown blood/discharge. Could this be implantation bleeding or is IB typically red blood? I am 9 days away from AF and I *never* spot this early. I maybe spot 2-3 days before my period is due but, even then, spotting is not that "normal" for me. I realize with swaying there isn't really normal anymore. Trying not to get my hopes up too much but looking for other women's experiences with IB. I am not temping anymore so I don't know if I had an associated temp dip.

The only other "symptom" I have is fatigue - but I don't read much into fatigue when one has young children around, lol.

ive never had IB so cant comment from personal experience, but i dont see why it couldnt be brown, brown blood is old blood and if its only a small amount (which IB is) it could take a little while to work its way out if you see what i mean? im pretty sure IB can be pink, red or brown.

    fingers crossed for you!!

It can be, or it can also be a little blood from the cervix (which often gets soft around that point in the cycle and sometimes bleeds a bit)

    Hi

I had implantation bleeding with both my pregnancies. The first one was always brown blood. This only started after AF and once I knew I was preg. It lasted until 13 weeks. All ok. Brown = old blood.

Thank you. The spotting stopped as did the associated heaviness that went along with it (felt like a period coming on). Not sure if it was a dip in progesterone or IB. I don’t have any other symptoms so I’ll have to wait a week and test.

Well this morning I woke up to some bright red blood. I assume AF is a week early. This has never happened to me. I can only assume no ovulation last month. Beyond depressed. 😞

Well I don’t entirely know that I did. I assume not. Temping wasn’t working this month because I kept having broken sleep. My last temp was 36.68 on cd 12 but I don’t know if valid. Cd 12/13 my scant cm (I had very little) went milky white. And I became super hungry. But honestly I don’t know if I ovulated?? I never bleed AF cd21. I don’t even spot mid cycle. I did drink a lot of diet drinks this month which I never have and I took an aspirin for a headache a couple times in my cycle but I can’t recall when. Didn’t want to take Advil cause of PUFS or whatever it is called.

We dtd cd10 and cd11. No jump and dump on cd 10. Also dtd cd4 and cd7 but those are out of FW I assume. Oh and we dtd two days before my spotting started so cd 17.

I am assuming the early period is because I am in perimenopause?
