Femara/ Trigger Shot Question

Hello! After months of not conceiving and a miscarriage we decided to go to a specialist. She gave me Femara (generic) and I started today. I am supposed to do days 3-7 and then go in so they can tell me exactly when to do trigger shot. As I am reading I see many women who take Femara and no trigger shot, I would like to know what it's for and what is better for my sway please! I am swaying girl and would like the best chances of course. Should I do trigger shot or not? What does it do and will it counteract what the Femara is doing for my sway? Thank you!

* Editing to add that I just saw my prescription for trigger shot and it's for HCG shot and Ovidrel... both... do they work together?

Yes some people take them in combination and when you get your prescription the pharmacist will be able to better explain how to take them.

The trigger doesn't sway and if they think you should do the trigger, do it! It actually helps you know when to have an attempt. It will not undo anythign the Femara does.

Thank you! Are there any statistics for Femara with trigger shot for successful sways? Do you think it sways strongly? Would you recommend one time at positive OPK still? Any other advice for my sway? Thank you and sorry to bombard you with questions. First time taking this medication and honestly have not heard much about it, have heard more about Clomid. Any input or advice is appreciated. Thank you!

No not enough people have used them.

Just to clarify I only think Femara sways (and one study found it was even better than Clomid). i do not think trigger shots sway in any way. It works like Clomid so the same forums are available for both Clomid and Femara. I do have more info about Clomid/Femara in the Dream Members forum *(plus the money I get from Dream Memberships helps to keep the site going and also for me to be able to answer questions as my full time job instead of having to work outside the home, where I would not be able to answer any questions! always appreciate the Dream Memberships)

For the first month yes you can try one attempt at trigger shot (not pos OPK, do at the trigger shot). In future months, if you don't get pregnant we will try adding more attempts but for now, one at trigger.
