Does drinking soda water (carbonated water) sway? And are certain alcoholic drinks better than others to sway pink?

We don't know. I personally drank scads of seltzer when I got my DD but I'd had scads of Perrier (which is supposed to be a good pink sway) when I got my 4th boy, too. Tonic water may sway pink due to the quinine in it but we have very little evidence to indicate that is a) true or b) safe if it is true.

I do have you guys avoid soda water as the small amount of baking soda is said to be "alkalinizing". Now, I don't personally think that works, but it's easy enough to avoid.

Whatever alcohol you like. We have gotten good results with all different alcohols. Our original theory was that white wine, lager beers, and spirits were best but none of that seemed to matter, all alcohol swayed pink.
