Question about every 4 days
I am still waiting for my first cycle to begin after my second miscarriage this year but I have a question regarding bd every 4 day plan. Would it be beneficial at all to bd every 4 days with a condom and then once positive opk drop the condom for the one attempt? Since my two miscarriages, I’m concerned my dh sperm may have been too “old”. I don’t blame him at all but I know at least with the second mc we bd after a 3-4 week unintentional abstain and got pregnant at the first opk to lose it again. So I know I can conceive with one attempt at the positive opk but I’m nervous if we did abstain again maybe I’m getting all of his old swimmers. So I wasn’t sure if it would be helpful to bd every 4 days with a condom to prevent anything from going inside of me until the positive opk. That way, if we attempted with condom one day and the following I got my positive, the attempt from the day before wouldn’t have gone into me? I hope this makes sense and I’m not too confusing lol

Yes you can do that, that's what I call "regular release with one attempt". It's not e4d but it is a way of doing one attempt that may boost chances of conception.

totally fine and in fact I would LOVE to see both abstain and the daily release go the way of the dinosaur in favor of everyone doing regular release with one attempt to start with.

Hi atomic sage, so does e4d means with protection or no protection?

With NO protection.
There is also a method, though, called "regular release with one attempt" where you have your husband release every 2-4 days either on his own or with you, with a condom, and then have the one attempt either at cutoff or positive OPK. (Welcome to the site BTW!)

I’m looking for some advice please. So I was trying to do this method. dh and I started to attempt “regular release with one attempt”. Anyways, he was having trouble “finishing” with the condom on 6/11. He hates them. So I told him it was ok to take it off and finish outside of me since I wasn’t expecting to Ovulate until 6/17. I figured it’s ok being so far out. Well low and behold I just got my peak today. I must be off since the miscarriage. Do you think it’s ok to have our attempt tonight 6/13 even though we technically just did 2 nights ago. What worries me is that some semen might have gotten into me even though he pulled out. You know they ALWAYS say some still gets in you without you knowing. What do you think would be best?
Thanks

I did yes. I figured the first one we pulled out so if anything got in, it wasn’t much at all. Phew

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
