Pregnant before I could sway! Do I have any chance?

Hi everyone,

I was here a few years ago, swaying girl but ended up with my amazing DS3!
Last time, I swayed hard but started letting it slip after 9 months of trying.

I have been rereading all the sway advice for the last month or so, gearing up to have one last sway attempt, but am shocked to discover I am pregnant!!

This month, I had started skipping breakfast but eating pretty normally for me. A few glasses of wine each night as my husband has been off work.
My DS3 has been up and down a lot at night so I have been feeling a bit run down and keep getting colds etc

For attempts, I can barely remember!!! We had one unprotected night but I got up immediately and went to the toilet. I was sure I had already ovulated so we would be fine (obviously not)

Really dont know what to feel, I had decided that if we were trying for one more baby, I would sway and exercise! Obviously didn’t happen.

I am amazed I have gotten pregnant so quickly! With all three other pregnancies, it took a good few months with several pinpointed attempt!!

Also, I have never been able to get pregnant in the summer! Two of my boys were conceived in December and one in late September.

Hope I don’t sound unhappy, as I truly am.
I am just stunned!! Dreading telling my mum haha!!

you always have a chance i had a girl after 4 boys with no swaying (i didnt know about it back then) and she was from 1 attempt so its always possible!! i will keep everything crossed for you.
if your mum doesnt want to be happy about it then thats her loss, annoys me when others react negatively towards pregnancy/baby announcements, hopefully she surprises you and reacts really well xx

Thank you! I am going to go for, the ’it will definitely be another boy’ mindset just to mentally prepared for it.

Shows what a control freak I really must be when something lovely happens and I have no idea how to react! Haha

My mum has been heavily hinting that she thinks any more babies would be bit crazy �� (my sister also!) but I’m sure they will get their heads round it soon and be happy-ish for me!

One of the other things I will now dread will be the ‘are you hoping for a girl???’ Questions that will come at me from every direction when they see me with my three boys!!
It was soul destroying the last time when I had to break it to strangers hat I was having a third boy and they would gasp and say ‘oh nooooo!’

One of the WORST comments I got was when I found out I was having a 4th boy this acquaintance knowingly said "well, you're done then. You're DONE." as it if was any of her business and I swear it made me so angry I thought "come hell or high water, I am trying again just to shut you up"

It seems to be one of the few areas where people feel they can directly tell you their unwanted opinion on your life! Grrrrr!

decisions around how many kids you have or want to have are between you and your dh, it concerns no-one else not even your own family members, i hope they react better than expected but at the end of the day its you who is having a new baby not them so dont let them take away any happiness!!

as for strangers i promise you you cannot win, i had 4 boys in a row and had ALL the comments, then i had a girl and got comments about "oh poor her having to live with all those brothers".. there is no pleasing "the public" haha if its not gender its too many/too few kids etc.
