Preparing coffee
I’ve had my coffee the same way for 6 years- black with heavy whipping cream, no sugar. I’m realizing that is too much fat for the LE diet. How do y’all drink it? Whole milk?

Most of the time I'm drinking it with some artificial sugar (But really just a little) and a splash of whole milk.
I tried it with almond milk since I thought that's even better for pink. But I just can't stand it.
I personally love soy milk but atomic said not more than 2-3 servings a week. And somewhere I read rice milk is too carby to drink it all the time.
Oh and I quite liked it with creamer, but I did not find one without sugar! So I thought a splash if whole milk would be the safest.
Good luck and pink dust.

I have it black in the morning until I end my fast, then an almond milk cappuccino with lunch. Sometimes another almond milk cappuccino or long black in the afternoon depending how hungry I am, but I make it decaf otherwise I can't sleep!

Thanks ladies! I will try almond milk, but I had it with whole milk this morning and it was still very good! I usually have one cup in the mornings but I’m trying for 2 just in case. Pink dust to both of you

No that's fine. You need 50-60 g fat on LE Diet and cream in coffee can be a great way to get it!
If you don't have the fat to spare, you can use half and half, or whole milk. No skim dairy on the alternate diet.
I don't want you to use milk replacers like almond or rice milk on the alternate diet.

Thank you! I’ll use whole milk. I had 2 cups of coffee yesterday with a total of about 4 oz heavy whipping cream which was like 37g of fat, so I ended up going over the total for the day. This morning switching to whole milk was still very good! If that’s safe for LE I’ll keep doing that.

How about this? Silk Dairy-Free Half & Half Alternative
https://silk.com/plant-based-product...f-alternative/
1tbsp has 15cals, 1.5g fat, and 0 protein.
It’s half oat milk and half coconut milk, so I guess maybe not good for the alternate diet? I think those are both milk replacers, right?
I picked up a bunch because I got them super cheap (like 49¢ down from $4.99!!). But I actually ended up really liking it! It’s SUPER creamy, so if you’re looking for that cream flavor/feeling, this is it. Personally I’m not big on the “creamy” aspect; I’ve been drinking my coffee with skim or 1% milk for years. So 1-2 tbsp of this, per 16oz of coffee, was more than enough for me. I didn’t even bother counting the cals & fat either since coffee with “a splash” of whitener is okay, and I figured that counted as “a splash.”
Again not sure if this is a good idea for the alternate diet or not, as I’m just following the standard LE diet. But figured I would throw it out there just in case, for anyone else looking!
