Next time just tell her you came on CD 9 or whatever day she says. Unless you've specifically told her the day your period starts she won't be able to know what cycle day it is.

I would seriously consider getting a new doctor because it is completely normal for women to ovulate different days after the Femara. If you stopped the Femara CD 7 there is no way you could have been about to ovulate by CD 9, and that would have been a useless and expensive visit.

They can't tell stuff like this from ultrasounds or blood tests.
I learned a lot of things from you, Atomic and I am following your advice. I didn't like the idea of taking Femara twice a day because you have never suggested that.
yes, she knows when my period started because I went to get femara on cd 2.
She was planning to give a trigger shot. I felt that she does that with all her patients

I've never heard of any doctor having people take it 2x a day.

Hopefully next month we can do things differently so she is out of the loop.

The doctors who start Duphaston just "whenever" on CD 15 rather than 1-3 days past ovulation like most docs do, are banking on that you are just about to release the egg and so the process can't be stopped, but if they're wrong they can end up stopping O in its tracks.
She said if I get pregnant this cycle, Duphaston will prevent miscarriage. I will not take it and I will change this doctor. Unfortunately all doctors follow the same thing.

    what should I do now?

I'm totally fine with you taking the Duphaston if you want, just be sure you wait till after ovulation to start it. Even though it hasn't been shown to help anyone get or stay pregnant, a lot of doctors do still use it and I don't think it hurts anything to try it if you want to. We just have to be sure to take it in a safe way and that is by starting it after ovulation.

How do I know if I ovulated? Last Friday, I got positive OPKS. Yesterday, I had some cramps, backache, and ewcm. Do you think that was ovulation?

That would be my assumption, but the surefire way is to take a blood test - is that possible?

Serum progesterone level. You should see a higher number if you have ovulated.

and don't worry about not starting the Duphaston soon enough. Healthy pregnancies should make enough progesterone on their own without the Duphaston.
