Sugarrrr
Hiya,
I have been eating a lot of bread instead of the cereals and yoghurt I ate when I conceived my DS.
I used to fear carbs in bread and crackers so It is a world of difference as to when I conceived my DS. However, Im questioning if I haven’t been eating too much sugary things on my bread...
In the Netherlands we have chocolate sprinkles to eat on your bread and i eat those, jam, cream cheese with chives or sandwichspread.
When I conceived my DS i ate a lot of chicken/ ham on my bread, cheese and peanut butter... so I dont eat them anymore, except sometimes peanut butter when Im too low in fat and protein.
My question is:
Is it too much sugar?
I only barely reach 50g protein and fat like you told me I should Atomic to not lose anymore weight (BMI 19)
And do you or anyone have any ideas as to what to eat on my bread?
Ideas are welkom

Are you doing the PCOS LE diet or just the standard LE diet? I do know you need to limit sugar on PCOS, but not standard.
How about adding some butter or margarine before adding jam or jelly or spread? That’s a good way to get some more fat and calories in
Also, how about goat cheese? That is one of my favorites! Lately I have been doing honey wheat English muffins with passion fruit goat cheese. YUM! Another favorite is a plain English muffin (I usually do whole grain or wheat as a preference) spread with plain goat cheese and then red pepper jelly. The sweet/salty/spicy is delicious!

Thanks for the reply!
I always add butter (halvarine) yes I would do butter with the chocolate sprinkles or butter with jam or butter with the cream cheese.
I only like goat cheese with a bit of honey... but there you have the sugar again LOL.
I do like brie but I think that is quite high in fat... but then again... as long as it’s in the limits right?!
Thanks again!
Do you mean muffin spread? Never heard of that

Yes Brie is def up there in fat, but like you say as long as it’s within the limits is fine! Brie is one of my faves too
I have also seen goat cheese logs in the store with blueberries added, another way to have a little sweet without added sugar really (fruit sugar is okay I think?).
ALSO another one I thought of, I haven’t had it in a while but I would also do English muffins with herbed goat cheese and sliced tomatoes on top. More like a savory spin
As for the red pepper jelly, this is what I have:

(Hopefully the link works! It’s also WAY LESS expensive inside actual Trader Joe’s than on amazon. YIKES!! But that’s just one brand, I have seen and used other brands before as well!)

As long as you're in the limits and have no history of PCOS it's ok. Given your weight I think it's very unlikely you have any type of insulin resistance and are ok to eat sugar even every day.
Do you have totals for the day, though??? I want to be sure you're getting enough protein and fat to stay fertile.

ok great! There are no limits on sugar, just fat, protein, and calories. If you are getting enough fat and protein then the carbs and sugar take care of themselves.

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
