Sorry to jump on board here but what do you mean by positive OPK? It that when both lines are as dark as each other so the “peak” or just when a second line shows up?

Our stats on positive OPK attempts are misleading because many people can't get pregnant doing that. Only the more fertile people are conceiving with one attempt at positive OPK and it makes it look less effective, because people who conceive easily are more likely to have boys. As it is right now positive OPK is at 61% but it is still a great way to sway pink provided you have one attempt.
We know because scientists have proven it, that timing absolutely does not sway at all. 50-50 boys and girls are conceived every cycle day, Shettles timing has been completely debunked using his own data, and we even know the technical mistake he made that made him get tricked into thinking timing works. So we know that timing can't be swaying at all. The exact same number of people get boys and girls on every day they have sex. Our results are skewed only because it's just the most fertile people who conceive that day.
The only thing that sways is ONE ATTEMPT. Timing does not work at all. We have the attempt at positive OPK becuase it's just a good time to get pregnant with one attempt and easy for people to figure it out (no guessing about when you might ovulate).

ONLY when the test line is as dark or darker than the control is the test positive. If it just has a faint test line that is a negative test (and even your husband could get those to come up if he peed on the strip!)

Interesting what you said about people who are more fertile conceive more boys - I took 2 months to conceive my son. Does this mean it might be more likely I would conceive another boy? I am guessing being on the diet etc making my body less fertile will sway girl.

It doesn't mean you are "more likely" to conceive another boy. Most people have BG or GB just that easily without doing any swaying at all. All we're doing is trying to give ourselves optimum chances. The theory that is best supported by science indicates that couples who are mutually the most fertile have the most boys but that doesn't speak to anyone's chances.

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
