CBFM and Sperm!
Hi Atomic - so the clearblue fertility monitor I think was wrong - it said I peaked on cycle day 12 and 2nd peak 13 however no other signs and OPKs negative.
Then 3 days later my OPKs went positive and I had EWCM etc so believe this was accurate. We B'd late at night on cycle day 12 and I think I truly ovulated on cycle day 15 - I know sperm can live this long but what do you think? How long do you genuinely believe sperm lives for?
My other question is why do you think my really expensive clear blue fertility monitor got it wrong?
Thanks, VictoriaSept 2019

I believe sperm reliably lives and can fertilize an egg 3 days prior to O at the latest, and 1-2 days before is best chance.
The Clearblue just detected some hormones that when it compared to your hormones earlier in the month, "tricked" it into thinking you were ovulating then. The cheap OPK does not compare the hormone levels and so wasn't "tricked". Sometimes the Clearblue would have been right and the cheap OPK wrong. The Clearblues are unreliable too unfortunately.!!!
