Getting ready for our 1st attempt!

Hello! My husband and I are getting ready for our first attempt, expected next week. Today is CD 9. Last month I used OPK’s for the first time to try and get an idea of using them. I want to make sure we have our one attempt on the proper day! According to this, would that be CD13? Or CD14 since that was the darker “positive” line? Thanks so much!!

Would I consider this OPK a positive? This was tonight.

No. The test line has to be as dark as or darker than the control line.

I’m glad I asked, especially because my OPK this afternoon couldn’t have possibly been more negative !!

    Hi Atomic!

I’m on CD14 now, and my OPK’s are even lighter than the one I questioned on CD11. I have pretty standard 28-29 day cycles and tend to have all of the symptoms of ovulation around CD12-14 (last month was my first month using OPK’s though and it seems my peak was day 14). Should I assume my ovulation is delayed? Or is there a chance I missed it? I’m only questioning because my OPKs are not even really showing any line (I’ll attach a picture of this afternoon’s).

There's a chance you missed it but there's also a chance that O was delayed and is yet to come.

Sometimes the tests just don't make it all the way positive. In that case just have an attempt and keep testing to see what happens.

Well it seems ovulation was just delayed! I continued testing and yesterday morning got a positive OPK, combined with a small amount of CM on and off yesterday. We had our attempt last night, and this morning my OPK is showing peak! So *fingers crossed* and now we wait!
