    Folic & Folate

    Hi @atomic sagebrush

I'm taking pregnitude (approved by you) and iron tablets (I just started having very low iron) with vitamin c in it.
I have been taking Folate while TTC.
I just realised my iron tablets and pregnitude have folic acid while I've been taking the folate supplement.

Is this bad? I was recommended by you (and my Dr) to take Folate rather than folic after losses.

Do you have a known MTHFR mutation or are we doing this just in case?

    No, completely healthy.
I was just having unknown losses (before & after diet) and have had many blood tests, specimen testing, cervical biopsy, ultrasounds, pap smears and all came back fine and since the LE PCOS diet my levels have really improved (my iron dropped only recently as I had a loss and needed a placenta retrieval and fighting an infection due to placenta but before that my iron wasn't an issue since diet)

Ok. As long as you don't have the MTFHR mutation it's ok to take both folate and folic acid. They probably tested you for that but you may want to ask. People with the mutation can't process folic acid, and need to use JUST folate (and may even need to avoid it in foods).
