Girl sway diet causing hair loss?

So a bit of a strange one, but I have been on the LE diet for about 8+weeks now. I have lost some weight but not drastic amounts. I have drastically changed my diet though as I have realised my diet was very blue friendly, probably why I have two boys! I am eating a lot less healthy than before. A lot Less fat and protein, less fruit and veg and lots more coffee and aspartame. My hair is really falling out and a quick google search tells me it could be due to diet change and lack of vitamins. Has anyone else experienced this! It’s worrying me . Tia x

Firstly, tell me what you're eating.

Secondly, have you recently started or stopped any herbs or birth control pills (within the last 6 months)? When did you have your last child? Do you have thyroid issues?

It is really unusual, barring complete starvation, to see massive amounts of hair loss due to diet if you've normally eaten well your entire life. plus, it takes 2-4 months and usually more like 6 for diet restrictions to cause hair loss anyway. It is most likely that this is being caused by something else and we need to get to the bottom of what that might be.

But yes absolutely please tell me what is going on with your diet as well so I can reassure you. The LE Diet as written, even without taking vitamins, should not be causing hair loss.

I have a thread here where I go into a scientific explanation of why that hair loss can happen. At 2 months in it is technically possible to be triggered by diet but still isn't very likely - much more likely there's some hormonal reason for it. But let's go over your diet anyway to be sure you're getting enough. https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...lling-out.html

So I am still eating everything apart from red meat, potatoes, bananas and tomatoes. IÂ’m eating less as I am skipping breakfast. So typical day
7am coffee with sweetener and milk
11.30/12 Lunch- today was cheese and chutney sandwich and Coke Zero
3pm- coffee with sweetener and milk
5pm- spaghetti bolognaise made with turkey mince
    8pm- low fat yogurt

I started taking high strength cranberry capsules last month but stopped as read that you didnÂ’t advise them. Also taking fibre supplement that you recommend. I had my last baby a year ago. No thyroid issues that I am aware of.

I am eating a lot less fruit and veg than before as I used to snack throughout the day on fruit, veg, nuts, smoothies. I have also completely cut out tea which I love and really struggling with lol!
Also I normally have a Lp of 11 days but this month i started spotting 8 days post ovulation, so not sure is something is going on with my hormones.
    Thank you for your time

Can you give me totals on fat, protein, and calories??? That looks quite low fat to me and possibly even under the limits of the diet. The short LP also indicates too little fat.

Drop fiber for now and add in a serving of full fat dairy daily, 4-6 eggs a week, and a serving of salmon if you like it, red meat if you don't.

So I haven’t been logging it into my fitness pal for a few weeks. But looking back when I was logging I was having on average 1,200 calories a day and my fat and protein was under the weekly recommendation.
Ok I have totally dropped eggs so will add them back in. I do have one portion on either salmon or cod a week and I have either chicken or turkey meat at dinner time.

1200 is the barest minimum, and you CANNOT go under the recommendations (I'm not sure if that's what you meant). You have to have 30-60 g of fat daily, and we seem to be doing best with more like 40-50, even up to 60 g.

Chicken and turkey are really not that helpful. They are basically straight protein with very little fat. Plus salmon/red meat has some nutrients in it in higher amounts than the poultry. But as long as you're eating them fairly regularly it should be ok.

Ok thank you! I will add a bit more fat into my diet and see if that helps.
