    So appreciate the responses! One clarification - what do people mean it can still rise? I thought the nub theory was most readable during week 12 already so why is considered too early? Thanks!

    No it's better in the very late 12th thru 13th week.

    We have seen tons of these very nice pink-looking nubs early in the 12th week that ended up rising and were actually boys all along. We just don't want you to hang your hat on this as it is still entirely possible baby is a boy. Good luck.
