Posterior placenta = boy. And any guesses on gender??
Hi all. Had my US at 13w yesterday. Baby measuring at 13w4d with a FHR of 164. I have a fundal posterior placenta, does that mean it is another boy cooking in there. However I had fundal anterior placenta with my DS..
Does anterior placenta means girl and posterior means boy??
Also any guesses on gender based on skull or anything? I have no clear images:-(

The location of the placenta doesn't work to predict gender. After having people send Dr. Ramzi himself $10 to guess their ultrasounds and he guessed wrong, I"m totally convinced there is nothing to that whatever.
I"m not seeing any gender clues here, so sorry!

No gender clues in any of these pics, sorry. FWIW I have a three boys and had different placental positions. DS1's placenta was more on the side and DS3's placenta was right at the top of my uterus. I've seen many women here with anterior placentas having a good mix of both genders. Same goes for posterior placentas too.

My placentas have always been posterior and I’ve got 2 boys and this ones a girl so it really doesn’t make a difference to gender. Ramzi was wrong for ds2 so I didn’t even do it this time as it got my hopes up last time. Good
Luck

DS1 was anterior, DS2 DS3 DS4 and DD1 were all posterior. I don’t think position of placenta has anything to do with gender.

Posterior placenta = boy. And any guesses on gender??
I have 2 singleton boys & boy/girl twins. DS1 was posterior, DS2 was anterior, and the twins were both anterior. From everything I’ve seen there’s absolutely no link between gender and posterior/anterior placentas.

It’s been awhile but I keep meaning to come back and say we swayed girl in 2022 and had a little girl in early 2023! First girl born in 110+ years on my husband’s side.[emoji179]
