I'll give a tentative pink lean but the images are not crystal clear, and it's a bit early still.

I’m pretty sure it’s a boy. This is a still for a video today at 14w 4d. Trying to come to terms with not having a little girl, hoping that I will get used to welcoming another little boy into the family soon. And having discussions and thoughts about whether baby number 3 will ever be on the cards. Lots to think about. I need a big hug, luckily my husband has been brilliant. Wishing everyone the best of luck with their sways/pregnancies xx

I’m no expert, it does look boyish but 14 weeks is “no mans land” so I’ve heard.

I'm not at all sure that's a nub.

It’s a potty shot (though I know 14 weeks is early for this!) x

Oh ok I can see it now. I do not think you can tell gender on that basis as that seems like it could be a clitoris/labia still. I understand why you think it's a boy, just keep in mind that boys and girls are identical into the 12th week from the side, and longer in potty shot, so I wouldn't paint the nursery on that pic.

Ok, thanks again Atomic. Maybe there is a glimmer of hope in that case. We’ll see what happens at the end of March. I’m done scanning myself now and will force myself to be more patient! X

I can confirm baby is a little boy. DH and I have been having regular discussions about our concerns and disappointments which has really helped. My DH has told me how he’s sad he might miss out on walking a daughter down the aisle and other experiences and I’ve told him of all the things I was imagining doing with a girl. I think letting go of these ideals is part of the process.
I’m trying to see all the positives of having 2 boys. My 22m old is really helping me cope atm- he is turning into such a fun, loving little person, this has been my favourite age so far (he was a very difficult baby for 6-12m, had dairy allergies and reflux, wouldn’t sleep- part of my anxiety is that this is apparently more common in boys so I’m worried next one will be the same, I’m planning to cut dairy from my diet just in case so I don’t worry that’ll impact on him being unsettled). Now I can see that if I have another baby who turns into the sort of little person that my eldest is turning into, I don’t have much to fear. He is gorgeous and I don’t think I could love any being as much as I love him.
We’re struggling for baby names, our eldest is Benjamin Alexander, I quite like Timothy James but DH isn’t that keen on Timothy, we also like Peter and George (with middle names James, William or Matthew) but don’t love them. Anyone got any suggestions for a name of this little brother for our Benjamin? I like the more classic names that suit both a young baby/child and adult, if you see what I mean. Love Sebastian/Theodore but a close friends’ little boys are called these.
Maybe we’ll try for number 3, who knows. What worries me is I have some health concerns, I had obstetric cholestasis last pregnancy and have just been tested for gestational diabetes as baby was measuring large. Plus I have bad varicose veins in my legs this time round, having to wear support stockings in the summer will not be fun!
Thanks for all of your support and advice. Stay safe in these difficult times everyone xxxx

Congrats on your little boy!
Maybe a few things to make you feel better: brothers can be so great and cute together. And a brotherly bond can be so strong and even for a lifetime. I promise, I see it with my two boys. It is really special. And my older son is almost everything you would expect from a girl. He can be so quiet and delicate loves to help me bake, loves to paint and even likes to paint his nails. But he also likes very boyish things. Anything is possible. My younger one is louder but also so sweet and so cuddly and he is so pretty! Girl moms sometimes tell me it's not fair that a boy can be this pretty! You see you never know what happens.
I'm wishing you all the luck in the world with your new addition. With a second baby you are much wiser than with your first. I bet it will be a beautiful experience. And if you someday decide to go for #3 I wish you also good luck with that. 3 kids are also great and you will have a little time for the third baby, because your boys will play together.
Benjamin is a beautiful name. I will just list a few I think would work with it (But I'm sure you will find a great name)
Jonathan
William
Andrew
Philipp
Jacob
Christian
Daniel
Elias/Elijah
Gregory
Leonard
Marcus
Matthew
I also like Timothy.
Good luck on your journey.

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
