Princess of Pink's Sway
Well I had my Implanon out 4 days ago now and it's exciting to be fertile again
My diet is slightly different to others here...I am doing "Cohen's Diet" as I have a few kg's (15 to be exact ) that I have put on over the past 6 months and I want them off before I get a baby on board. It is a diet that was created by a fertility/ivf specialist to help women lose weight and increase fertility. It stabilises your hormones, keeps your blood sugar perfectly balanced at all times with 0 spiking or plummeting, and a bonus is that it results in fast weightloss and massive increase in energy. The diet has been known to completely reverse the effects of POCS...anything making you fertile and stabilising BS has got to sway boy even if I am not gaining weight.
It consists of protein at EVERY meal, veg at every meal, minimal carbs spread evenly throughout the day and fruit spread evenly throughout the day. 2-3L of water every day (good for EWCM) and I can salt all my meals.
After I have completed my first 2 weeks of detox (1 week to go) ...I am going to cut diet coke out completely as it is damn unhealthy and sways girl!
Now for Supps:
I am currently taking...
Sustained Release Multi + Antioxidants (Blackmores) 1 tab
Total Calcium, Magnesium + D3 (Blackmores) 1 tab
Fish Oil 1000 (Blackmores) 1 tab
Chromium Max (Maintains healthy blood glucose levels) 2 tab
Nails, Hair & Skin (Blackmores) 2 tab
Folic Acid 500mcg 3 tab
Fusion Green Tea 1 tab
Australian By Nature Royal Jelly Capsules 1000mg 2 tab
Life****** Wheat Grass Capsules 1 tab
Pretorius DHEA 6X 1 tab
Month Before (to test) and Month of attempt:
AF - O
Ural x2 per day
CD 9 - O
Mucinex 1200mg tabs x2 per day.
On month of attempt I am going to insert spermies/preseed mix in an instead cup for the entire evening on day of first + opk, and repeat 24hrs later.
I will honestly be happy with either girl or boy .... I just so badly want one last baby!!Last edited by Princess of Pink; August 27th, 2011 at 06:53 PM.

POP that diet sounds great, actually! I definitely agree with cutting the diet sodas out. I was really happy to finally do that when I started my sway diet bc I KNEW it wasn't a good habit, KWIM? And I didn't want my girls picking it up either. Nasty stuff!
Your supps look great! The only thing to mention is if you are doing high sodium (not sure if URAL is high in sodium like ASG/BSD) you might consider 2000 folic instead of 1500.
FX you get your sweet #6 soon and that it's blue

Oh, that's so interesting, I've never heard of Cohen's diet. Did you have to pay for it or is it available online? Could you pretty pliiiiz give example of 1 day Cohen diet? Like what do you eat for brekkie, lunch, snacks etc....
High protein is excellent for
Your supp Calcium-Magnesium is confusing me...I'm sure you know this is the classical pink supp? I know Calcium is controversial, but maybe it's better to get it through fullfat dairy which will also raise your testosterone.
Before my boy sway, I used to practically live on dairy, so I'm very cautious when it comes to it. I'm taking 1-2dl of full fat yogurt daily and some cheese on pizza (not every day).
I totally understand desire to get your baby, I'm swaying for a year now without results....m/c 2001

Begonia- When combined with the folic in my other supps it's closer to 2400 a day!!
ZB - I am taking the Cal/Mag sup as recommended on this diet as you eat little to no calcium at all other than the odd bit of cheese (no more than 3 serves of 60g per week). It's the one they say to take to keep healthy so I'm not going to drop that one. I have never been a big dairy eater, other than milk on cereal so it doesn't stress me at all.
My typical day is:
Breakfast: 1 Hard boil egg on a premium cracker (salted)
M/Tea: Apple and premium cracker
Lunch: Chicken/turkey/beef mince with zucchini, mushrooms, green capsicum and cauliflower flavoured with salt, peper and paprika. with a premium cracker
A/Tea: Apple and premium cracker
Dinner: Small steak (100-120g with no fat at all) side salad with balsamic vinegar or veggies listed above with addition of cabbage and a premium cracker.
Evening snack: Apple
You can also make a pizza for a meal using 2 premium crackers, tomato/capsicum/mushrooms pre-steamed, 60g of mozarella and paprika for taste...I add a swirl of light mayo on top and bake in the over...yummo!!!
I actually really like the food and blood tests I had the first time I did the diet last year for 7 months showed my blood sugar was perfectly stable the entire time!!Our 6-pack of girlies

It's actually pretty quick to prepare the food...and I pre-boil about 4 eggs at a time for breakfast and leave them in the shell, grab from the fridge and run! I work full-time and care for the kids 90% on my own due to DH's work and get the time to cook it....while the kids dinner cooks I toss mine on...it's usually ready before theirs...then I cook my lunch while I eat! In the fridge for the morning and away I go! Once you get into a routine it's actually pretty easy. The ONLY hard part is when you are out. I either precook little nuggets with my mince allowance and take a small salad on my bag....or I have discovered I can buy the Tandoori chicken salad at Sumo Salad!!

a very interesting diet. its eems to very like the high everything like atomic said but just not large amounts of food. do you know if there is a reason for the limits on protein and calcium, etc. like can you not go over or eat more than this? (ex larger portions, an apple AND a pear with your premium)? thanks for sharing!!!

Everything is limited and I have to weigh everything, even the veg or salad. But you don't have to be so obsessed and just eat the same foods in smaller amounts to lose some weight but still be eating boy friendly. I am not 100% sold that you have to gorge yourself and gain weight like a pig to have a boy to be honest. For some people who are naturally thin no matter what they eat I think yes thats what you do. But for me I more believe I need to eat a BALANCED healthy diet with 3 meals of protein. The total opposite of how I normally ate. I think the key for me is to eat a super healthy, high in nutrient diet that is making me super healthy.
I don't think swaying girl is just low in everything either...my diet is low calorie, low carb, low everything bad really, except nutrients...but that isn't how I got my girls...I ate lots of empty calories...carbs, carbs, carbs and more carbs...high sugar...totally nutritionally empty food!! When I was thin I was starving myself, skipping breakfast, and when I was fat I ate nothing but empty calories with no nutritional value at all. I hardly ever ate protein. So I am happy with this for me...and if I get girl #6 at least I will feel super healthy, have lost this weight I have just gained and feel great being pregnant!!Our 6-pack of girlies
