Comments regarding DW's diet changes-

I went fully vegetarian and started LE diet from around 7 months before TTC. Then from September (when we started TTC) I followed LE diet pretty religiously. However this slipped hugely over Christmas - I ate meat, snacked between meals and ate the wrong things! We ended up conceiving around 5th Jan so really thought I'd messed it up!

If diet was used, length of time before attempt?

Most elements around 10/11 months before, full LE diet 3 months before successful attempt

Yes

Did DH change his diet with you?

No

Comments regarding DH's diet-

He ate as normal, though less meat than he was used to as we still ended up sharing a lot of meals.

DId you consume alcohol?

DId you try to limit caffeine?

No, I drink caffeine regularly

Any Diet Details?

I was vegetarian and tried to follow LE diet restrictions in terms of protein and fat and skipping breakfast. I drank around 5 black coffees with sweetener per day and drank at least 1 unit of alcohol per day.

However in the run up to Christmas I slipped up and did quite a lot of overeating/oversnacking. I also ate breakfast and ate meat in our successful cycle!

WEIGHT AND EXERCISE
What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O?

Around 126lbs, 20 bmi. Had lost weight on LE diet and reached my lowest adult weight (117lbs) when we started TTC which was 3 months before our successful cycle. Some weight slipped back on due to Christmas just before our BFP.

Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments?

No exercise, just found it too hard to fit into my day so ended up doing pretty much none.

I was doing 1 attempt for our first 3 cycles. Unfortunately I was finding myself getting a bit stressed out with tracking cycles and swaying. So I went a bit "eff it all" for our fourth cycle which ended up being the successful one! I stopped tracking BBT (used OPK to track O) and went for EoD so ended up having 2 attempts in the run up to ovulation (and one the day after). Really thought that this more than anything would have given us a boy!

Things that make me feel great about my sway:

Spent almost a year doing most of the LE diet stuff and attempting a girl-friendly lifestyle.

Things that make me nervous about my sway:

Messed up LE diet loads in the successful cycle, so I gained weight, as well as having extra attempts!

Things worth mentioning:

I really did sway religiously for 10 months before our BFP! But the amount of boy-sway things I did in our successful cycle made me absolutely sure that I had ended up with a little boy. And I had totally made my peace with that and was quite looking forward to having a little dude in my life.

So was a very big surprise today at our gender scan when we saw a little girl in there! Lots of tears and still in massive shock.

Thanks everyone! I haven't been very active on here since I got my BFP - life suddenly got so busy with being a pregnant lady! But I absolutely had to come back to update you all once I found out. You have all been so lovely and helpful and even if I'd found out I was having a boy I would still be super grateful to you all for the support!

Besides, I found the statistics so interesting during my time here that I couldn't let a successful sway go unreported!
