Gender Result:

Miscarriage...5wks4days Did not anticipate this after my healthy pregnancy last year. I think the VITEX is to blame. I will not use it again.

I tried to cut WAY back on meat.
Skipped breakfast

Comments regarding DH's diet-

DH did not change diet, I did try to have him cut out caffeine during the days we BD and had him start taking calcium and magnesium supps as well as cranberry.
He has been LOW on sleep with our 9month old getting up a lot at night (i read this sways girl)

DId you consume alcohol?

• A couple of drinks per week

DId you try to limit caffeine?

Yes, I had 1 drink per day

What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O?

I have been losing weight this past year from giving birth in April 2014. During the month of conception however it did stay rather stagnant.

over the past 9 months I have lost 45pounds

Exercise is really carrying my 20 some pound baby around and walking the mall etc.

jumpe and dump after like 10-15 mins. used rephresh early in attempts, but I dont really think it factored in once I actually got to O date.
However my PH remained LOW.
used sylk during each attempt- i was worried it would kill the chances of conception

Vitex I did from end of AF til about a week later. then after I had a day of spotting it worried me so I quit using it.

DH took hot baths before each attempt.

Did you do anything with Ions?

I wore a bracelet with stones said to sway girl. Tried to use a fan at night, but quit after a few nights.
Also wore a magnetic bracelet.

Waxing Gibbous

Did you use any Old Wives Tales?

Painted my nails and used polish remover around O.

Girl outfit next to bed, and wooden spoon.

Things that make me feel great about my sway:

Sylk, frequent BD for SO Many days straight,

I am breastfeeding.

When we conceived our boy I did use Mucinex (boy sway) and we BD through O but sporadically not everyday- which gave the sperm a chance to become BOY friendly.

Things that make me nervous about my sway:

I honestly feel as if it all could just be luck getting a girl... But I did try so we will see.

My PH did sky rocket after BD, but I read you can not even conceive if it is not at a 7 anyway.

Things worth mentioning:

-DH lack of sleep
-DH hot baths

Hi and thank you atomic. I have miscarried. And I feel after my first pregnancy was healthy that the vitex was more than likely the cause of the miscarriage. Do you have any statistics on the rates of miscarriage with use of vitex? Thanks again

That is not the way miscarriages work, hun. I'm so sorry for your loss and I totally understand the temptation to want to look back and find something at the cause of the loss, but miscarriages are usually due to chromosomal abnormalities in either egg, sperm, or the divisiion of cells after conception (just from bad luck) and they are super common. Most of us on here have had at least one whether we were on vitex or not.

I have seen tons of people have losses under many circumstances and I do not believe that vitex, when taken in the pattern that we suggest it is to be taken, is a factor in miscarriages

When you say you were having lots of crystal light, how much is lots? I do not think this caused your loss either but I prefer very much that you guys stick to the safe amount recomended - 2-3 servings of 12-16 oz. and no more than that.
