Well, the thing with the iron is not "orange juice" but Vit. C so be sure you're taking Vit. C OR simply eat a NONsugary food that contains Vit. C, like red bell pepper strips with your iron. This is my personal favorite way to take iron (I am often anemic) is by eating some red pepper strips at the same time. Red bell peppers have more Vit. C than an orange!
As for moving around I would call and ask them. If the notch is ~really~ pregnancy threatening (which I am still not sure if you have been given accurate info on that, since many notches persist till 24 weeks and then go away) I would strongly suspect your need to stay off your feet outweighs the desire for exercise to help with gest. diabetes. GD can be controlled medically if it comes to that, the notch (if it continues) can't be and so you'd want to keep the pregnancy going as long as you can.
