Comments regarding DW's diet changes-

I followed the fertility diet and I became a vegetarian! It was easy enough as I am not sure I even like meat! No breakfast (have eaten breakfast every day forever!), added in some wine now and again, had 2 coffees per day with sweetener (I HATE COFFEE!) I did the best I could really!

I was using the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor - we dtd on a LOW day - Feb 20th to be exact and I did not reach a PEAK (happy face) day until February 25th. Feb 21, 22, 23 and 24 were HIGH days. I didn't think it would take one attempt based on my age and the fact that we were 5 days out...it was really a practice round!

I have always gotten pregnant easily, but DTD every other day for a week or so around O time. This was just 1 attempt about 5 days before O, so a different attempt IMO.

Did you do anything with Ions?

YEAH girl I sure did!!! Rose Quartz all the way. When I first came across this site in 2015 (while I was preg with our second baby) I read ALL about ions, it was SUCH a huge thing back then and now it isn't at all BUT I bought a Pandora rose quartz necklace, the salt lamps next to the bed, rose quartz bracelet, lavender, etc, etc.

YES! I had a wooden spoon under the bed and girl clothing I had picked out over the years and a Christmas stocking! (Christmas is my fave!)

Things that make me feel great about my sway:

One attempt, cutoff (even though I know this doesn't mean much to most!), vegetarian, missionary, drank wine that night, husband sat in the bath for ages before - every little helps!

Things that make me nervous about my sway:

I am not nervous. Everything happens for a reason!

Well to be honest, I am not sure I really meant to try one attempt so far away! Like I mentioned above, I am 37.5 and I assumed it would take a few months this time, so we were practicing I would say! I just know with our boys that we were DTD all the time, so I knew it would always just be one attempt for us - weirdly, it happened for us so quickly. Good luck to you - maybe try one attempt at positive opk?

A "few days before positive OPK" is very often ZERO chance of conception. It is very likely that this was an error on the OPK (this can happen, OPK can have both false negative and false positive results) and that ovulation occured sooner, OR a very happy strike of good luck - like 1 in a 1000 type of thing. It just does not happen with any regularity so I cannot recommend that anyone try 5+ days prior to ovulation. Huge congrats again to the OP!!!

Huge congrats on your newest little man. I had a sway opposite with ds2 he was a one attempt 3 days before o and we used all kinds of stuff like acijel and fr and liquorice root, sudafed, hot baths, antihistamines lol you name it! But he was meant to be mine and he is my sweetest little bug xxx
