Studies have found that women in some careers and with certain types of higher education have more sons than those in other careers and with less education. This seems to hold true observationally as well, for example this other website I'm involved with is me and then two (female) doctors of the PhD variety, and between the three of us, we have 9 b and my daughter is the only girl. While this is anecdotal I've seen it hold true on this site too. Not set in stone, plenty of exceptions, but overall a trend in that direction.
Now, as for the why - we don't know. if we understood the whys of all this, this site wouldn't even be necessary. We don't know if there's something in boy moms that makes them more driven to succeed to start with or if there's something about being in a very competitive workplace culture that leads a person to have more sons, or both. I do feel there are some very noticeable personality trends different in pink and blue mamas, but those are more "squishy" and less clearcut than the education/career stuff is (since it's down to my interpretation and not something objective). It's also possible, though for the most part I have a harder time buying this, that there could be differences in diet or exercise patterns between people in some careers and others - so it may not even be personality stuff, or not exclusively.
One of those things I would LOVE to research!!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I'm a school teacher and I have 3 boys. I do/have to plan a lot (but then I'm quite caotic). Most of my colleagues have boys. The only one that had a girl (and pg with another DD) is almost vegetarian and has a very lean figure (although she is quite a planner too). We joke about something being in the water at school.
