View Full Version : TTC GIRL- MAY 2012

Looking back on one of my old cycles where I used an OPK and pinned ovulation (but was not TTC)... it was an overall 26 day cycle, positive OPK was CD14 (which is what I'm on today, yikes!)
Presently, my last cycle was 30 days long, the cycle before that was 36, the cycle before that (when my period was missing when I had last TTC and lost too much weight too quickly) was 55 days long.
So maybe I will get a + OPK in a couple days? Argh. I was having some fertile signs the past two days. I guess it doesn't matter if I was because we did BD, but I guess I'm mainly stressed about him being gone from tomorrow until Sunday night.
*shrugs* I didn't want a maddening cycle of whirlwind confusion again!

Here is the calendar for my location can someone who knows what they are looking at let me know if I am primed for a girl this month? We have dtd the last 4 days including today.
Suregena try not to let it stress you hun, that's why I decided not yo cycle watch this month, it was causing me too much stress trying to pin point ovulation. So I gave up the temping and charting and vm and cervix checking and am doing opk to get an idea of when to dtd. I'm hoping the relaxed approach will help.
Good luck hun!

hmmmm well i try really hard not to test but am still testing every day, i took a test yesterday arvo and it looked like a 2nd line (very faint) which i read at 5 mins but it looked more like an evap line, it was barely there! the more i looked i kept thinking evap. i also took another brand which is a pink dye test (so one blue and one pink) the blue ones are the ones that are giving me the 2nd line so not really trusting them, the pink dye was a def neg yesterday, i have had these ones before and they have never even given me an evap line so pretty good. thismorning when i tested with the pink dye one i had a very faint 2nd line but again it was that faint that i couldnt tell if it had colour and that was read at 8 mins so not sure if its given me a evap line or not, trying not to get my hopes up.
Still feeling queasy and today my boobs ache which i havnt had since i was preg last time and also feel like i have a sore lower back but in saying that i have had a full on day today so that could be the reason! it is ds2 4th birthday today so had a party etc so sttanding in the kitchen and rushin round is prob the cause of feeling achy. but how cool would it be if that pink dye was my first sign of a positive! on ds2 birthday! will try get a photo so you can judge, will upload it tomorrow (its evening here) and will take another test in morning to compare with.
Also have not told anyone that i may be pregnant, dp doesnt even know i have taken a test, he doesnt suspect i have gotten pregnant this cycle as i havnt been letting on. so you guys are the only ones that know!

Kiesse, this is what an evap looks like:
2687
Was your line thin like that? It's like an indentation line of where the dye would go.
If it was thicker and faint it is prob what I call a ghostline.. what you see right before a BFP!
Kiesse
May 19th, 2012, 02:22 AM
Ok couldn't wait til tomorrow. Here are some photos the pink dye test photos are the one test just different angles as its really really hard to get the 2nd line on a photo as it that faint. Its a barely there line. Can you see it? 26902691268826892692

I was hoping you would do that! LOL
wOw, It's like I see a thick smear but like you said it's VERY faint!
You might just have a ghostline on your hands!
I CAN'T WAIT for your test in the am!

It's like a pink shadow of a line, I even cleaned my screen LOL but I can see it!
A tip, when you are looking at your test turn it slowly downward towards yourself and slowly back up again. If you can have a friend take it or video it it's easier while you turn the test. Also turn it away from yourself and back again.. if there's a line you will see it when you do that.

Okay, if it's a thick smear of a line like the control that's barely barely BARELY there (even not pink yet) then it's most likely a BFP!
You could try turning it until you see the line and take a pic with your phone?
I'm VERY excited for you to test in the am! YaY! :)
When I step a couple to a few feet back from my screen I can see the in color ones better! LOL No doubt, that line is THERE!
Everyone else see it?? Is everyone asleep? HAHAHA
:holysheep: Kiesse, I believe this is your BFP.. the further from the screen I get the better I can see it.. that is NO evap AND IT's PINK!!!!

I haven't chatted to you ladies for ages! We have just moved house so things have been a bit of a blur for a while and I haven't been online as much as usual.
Lassie, it is a Taurus moon from 8.03pm on the 18th May until 9.05am on the 21st May (where you live). So according to the moon theory, it is a girl month for you if you O/conceive during this time frame.
Hope this is a great month for everyone. Looking very promising Kiesse...GL in the morning!

:) Mine was boy phase when I conceived the last little one and I know with every fiber of my being that she was a girl and DH's dream confirmed it.
Let's not take stock in old wives tales, I know I'm not really going to do it anymore. Just for fun is all.

"I dreamed I visited with you and Ned. Not only was it a lovely chance to meet you both in person, but you had a little baby girl as well. Otis was really happy with her. My subconscious gave me a great little time seeing you!"
Hey, that's a nice little boost! We'll see if there's anything to her dream! Heeh.

Ooohhhh! The lines are slightly darker tonight! They were either a sliver line or not even there before... but I used the same urine for an internet cheapie, a regular clearblue, and the digital. The first two have about the same 'darkness' (it's still negative test but things are obviously fading in slowly) and are definitely different looking from all the rest of the previous ones... and the digital is obviously negative, but the test itself within it is also the same level of fade in. Good sign, right?!
So maybe I could have a surge tomorrow? My husband is back tomorrow night around 10pm, so hopefully everything times itself out nicely and we can continue to get more attempts in! *fingers crossed*

I wish I had been drinking peppermint tea more often this TTC cycle... because I haven't. Funny thing... I ordered a nice box of peppermint tea to use this month and when I went to make some, it was BLACK tea! Like, they literally packaged the wrong tea into the box. Crazy. I have another box and have been drinking double bag cups the odd day but not nearly enough to have an effect on testosterone. *grrr* Oh well.
My husband forgot his licorice root tonight... silly boy! It's all still here at home by his bedside. He assures me he's released today, though while we're apart tonight.

Hi ladies -- It's been about a week and a half since I've left any entries on this site at all and many days I haven't even had a chance to browse through the forums. My kiddos have me busy, as does my job. Plus DH and I have been trying our darndest on this month's sway and reading sway stuff online was just gonna be one thing too many!
Big congratulations those who have gotten their BFPs -- mydream, Ribbons and it's sure looking like Kiesse!
Krazy and others -- I'm right there with you, girls. On month 4 and feelin' grumpy. *hugs* Suregena -- you're often in my thoughts, as I remember what you were dealing with back in January. Bodiez iz weird. :)
I think that I'm 2dpo (I'm on CD18 and think I O'd on CD16), although Fertility Friend looks like it's going to thoroughly disagree, which I'm finding discouraging.
On CD15 -- "peak" signal on my Clearblue Easy fertility monitor and a +opk.
On CD16 -- another +opk in the a.m.; rather fierce Mittelschmerz pains from around 4:30-6:30 p.m. and then suddently felt much better; an opk taken later than evening was faded just enough to now be negative.
Even though I haven't done antihistamines this month, I haven't had much fertile CM to speak of; especially not around the days I was having the LH surge and the pains. My temps were low on CD15 and 16 (below 97.3) and they have risen the past two days (almost 97.5 and almost 97.6 respectively). But when I put in a few dummy temps in the coming days, FF wants to put my ovulation at today! Grr. I'm guessing that's because of the lack of much CM to report and because my temps prior to CD15 were pretty warmish. Here's the link to my chart: 8c5b8 Ovulation charts on FertilityFriend.com (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/8c5b8)
Anyhow, it's discouraging because you feel like you try so hard and then to have all these "clues" not agreeing with each other. Frustrating! We did get quite a few attempts in, but it was really quite hard on DH (he's psyching himself out because of the need to perform "on command") and in order to make sure things worked all the way to the end, I had to get him started off orally (so saliva was present, but no other lube) and I ended up being on top for four of our six attempts (once a day, CD11-16).
We dropped a lot of things this month -- no Vitex, no Sylk, no antihistamines and DH quit taking LR and drinking Crystal Light maybe around CD13 or so. I'm keeping my weight fairly steady -- around 95.5 lbs. -- but both DH and my mom are starting to give me a hard time about it. I'm afraid that if this month doesn't work, we may drop everything (LR and tighty-whiteys for DH, RepHresh for me) except for me on the diet and perhaps anything that doesn't suppress fertility (for example, I don't know if Saw Palmetto can hamper conception?).
And on top of all that, our DVR isn't working and we have tons of our shows recorded on there and I don't know how we'll get caught up if the device is dead. Dagnabit.
I hate the 2ww. But I adore you lovely ladies. Thanks for listening to grumptastic over here. :p

I see a darker line... Kiesse, that's what my internet cheapies looked like at 9 and 10DPO... I got an FRER at 10DPO and it was still faint, but definitely "pinker" than the cheapie. On 11DPO there was no denying the line on the FRER. (The cheapies actually didn't come in with a good solid line for me until 13DPO!)

If i don't get a BFP this month we are dropping EVERYTHING except the my diet. This month we cut back on refresh, cut out silk, i cut out temping, charting and cm/cervix checking (too stressful) had 2 days less of LR for DH, and no both baths for dh.
We managed 5 attempts in 4 days. I have had positive opts the last 3 days, so I'm hoping I've caught the egg with a pink spermie!
Best of luck drama - will you be in the 2ww thread??

Didn't bother temping bc of the clomid and I will know when I O anyway so no need for opks etc. I will check once to see the trigger took. It's cd 10 and dh has released daily. I just watched One Born Every Minute, which has gotten me all emotional now, whilst sipping peppermint tea.
Maybe I should stop the vitex tonight? If it hasn't already happened (ovulation) maybe stopping it will help bring it on, or no? Because I've been taking it should it still have an affect positively on my sway or do I still need to be on it until just after confirmed ovulation?
I'm going to have another cup of peppermint tea. Hubby is home tonight. I figure, if anything, we'll just keep BDing until my AF shows up (or doesn't)... *shrugs*

I took the vitex and stopped about 2-3 days before O. Cant wait for you ladies to O!!!
Well I took another test this morning, the only problem i find with the Pink dye tests is that you need to wait for the window to clear with the dye before you see a line! the 2nd line doesnt come up right away, it fades in and i see it around the 8-10min mark, is it still a positive? thats the only reason i do not want to get me hopes up, BUT.............. the second line was slightly darker today and you do not have to tip it on different angles to see it! its still faint but clear as day!

Just went and got bloods done 45mins ago, lady missed my vein first time and then tried to move the needle round, man it stung, ended up being able to get the other vein in other arm, so will have results back in about 24 hours.
I just hope that if it is a bfp everything is ok as it feels as if i have done 100 situps, my tummy feels sore like i have done them and also have a little back pain in my lower back, not sure if this is a sign as ive NEVER had this feeling in any 4 of my previous pregnancies..... So some good news...I had my ultrasound today to check for an ectopic because of all the pain I've been having on my right side, but all is fine, turns out it was just a corpus luteum causing me the pain. Soo lovely to see my little blob! Didn't look much like a baby of course but could see the head, heart beating and umbilical cord. So it's all good! Dr said it's measuring 7weeks6 days but I'm positive I'm 7weeks 4days, so a bit concerning if bub is already measuring big, it may be a monster! Hopefully not. Just really happy to know that my little bean is having a good time in there and I can see him/her again in about 5 weeks! Such a relief!:cheer:

Kraisy- I've heard of many women getting preg the month after stopping clomid. Ok, I have a call into my OB and waiting to hear back. I've decided to be very aggressive -- what tests should I insist they do? I had a 7dpo progesterone test already and it came back at good levels? (I think it was 24). That is the only test they have done....bec they seem to think it's just advance maternal age. I've had 2 chemicals...ovulate regularly. She did say we could do an ultrasound of the follicles to see how they are developing...she said to do it right before ovulation, but then I read online better to do it earlier? So with the tests you suggest can you also suggest the day/timeframe in the cycle that is best to do those tests. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you,Hope & Dream. I had the follicle check/ultrasound scheduled for D10, but then when we spoke again she suggested we move it to D13 because I usually ovulate somewhere between D12-D17 at the very latest. I guess the closer you can get to O the better...is that correct? I don't know why but I'm so hesitant to trust at this point since she still is convinced that I have nothing wrong with me, just need to wait "hopefully" for a good egg to come along because I am older mom....she keeps saying you had 2 easy healthy pregnancies...hello? it's been 4 years since I was pregnant! Am I crazy?? She also gave me the name of an infertility specialist/R.E. but honestly our insurance doesn't cover that so trying to get as much as I can from the reg OB done.

Sorry my message got cut off. U can also ask her for immune testing. It's all blood work she can easily order. I found out I had a clotting issue. The doc i see when preg used to talk about thousands of women who have countless miscarriages chemicals needlessly and could all be prevented by a simple blood thinner. He goes on a rampage every time i am there. He was one of the lead researchers in the world on these issues and gets really angry when he hears about doctors that miss simple fix stuff. At the least tell her u want a blood panel of any possible clotting issues. Kraisy's insurance doesn't cover RE either so I would have them consult with a collegue if yet don't know what tests to order.

Got my blood tests back and my HCG levels are at 28. They want to test again on Thursday to see if there is an increase. I just do not think i can handle feeling like this for the rest of the week til i get my next lot of results. I am really trying to hold onto my pee. I tested an hour and half ago and the test is very faint (not sure if its coz i had only held my pee in for not even an hour?) I am going to try and hold on and test again later on. If its darker than the one i took earlier it may just relax me a little.
If it was a chemical what kind of symptons would i be experiencing? I have little twinges but its just above my hip bone you know the feeling when you get the stitch after running? Its in that kind of area but only on one side, that would be too high wouldnt it? I have been trawling the net for success stories but there are not many, is there anything i can do to help it stick better??

I think if you are only holding on for an hour then it's nowhere near long enough to get a good positive. Try and hold for at least 3, an try limit what you drink so as not to dilute.

Whoa, CP was much higher this morning! And much more EWCM going on. Promising! Should I decrease my calorie intake further or will it not matter at all?
My temp also was slightly dipped a little lower this morning, as you can see in my chart in my signature below.
suregena - I've heard atomic say that you shouldn't try to do a "starvation" thing (i.e. drop your calories any more than you already have) around O b/c it may mess with your hormones too much to release an egg, implant etc. So, I would just keep it the same as you've been doing.
GOOD LUCK! Sounds like dropping the Vitex was the ticket! :)

You know, Kraizy, it doesn't magically change into a boy month on June 1st :D I think the closer you are to the beginning of the month, the better, but I wouldn't worry about it one bit! Now, if you were trying in October or November, then... maybe.. But I got both my boys in those months :D

Just to clarify, there are peaks and troughs of boy/girl conceptions that very gradually shift thru the year.
Girl peak/boy trough - Mar-May for Northern Hemisphere, Sept-Nov Southern Hemisphere. Boy peak/girl trough, is the opposite by 6 months (reverse the hemispheres). That DOES NOT mean that Feb and June are boy-friendly months in the N Hemi. The peaks/troughs rise and fall gradually over time until they peak again for the opposite gender about 6 months later. By virtue of being closer to the girl peak, June may still be slightly girl friendly or it may be neutral.
Beyond that, everyone please understand that there are still plenty of opposites conceived even in the peak months! I have two boys conceived in March and a girl in November. It's just that since the seasons seem to help, if you can fit them in, great!

Hey ladies. I am doing ok. Still taking Hpts but lines still very faint and not getting darker. I go and get more bloods done tomorrow but won't have results back until Friday. Thinking i should ring and see if i can get in and get it done today. Do you think 48 hours between bloods will give me an idea or should i wait til tomorrow so there is 48 hours between?
Lassie1982
May 22nd, 2012, 05:26 PM
Hey kiesse, have been thinking about you hun.
I think it's better if you wait the 48hrs. But I'm no expert, so perhaps the other girls know better.
If you only give it 24hrs, the numbers might still be low, in which case you will drive yourself nuts trying to determine if they are low because the pregnancy is not viable, or low because it's only been 24hrs. Does that make sense?
Surely it's got to be a good sign that the hpt's are positive?
Wish I had more advice for you :(
Try and fill the time by treating yourself, your favorite meal or snack? Or a manicure, or splash out on a new top or shoes or something. Give yourself something to cheer you up!
Thinking of you!

Kiesse it is worse then the 2ww. This is exactly how I felt in march. I knew in my heart it was over but was confused I still had preg symptoms: bad heartburn. It stayed till hcG went down. As hard as it is try to hold out hope. Easy for me to say I know. It doesn't hurt to Have hope and it doesn't hurt less if it doesn't work out. This may totally work out. It has for several ladies on here. Did they give u progesterone levels from first beta test? Thinking of you (((hugs)))

I meant to test again tonight but we went on a walk to a pub to meet friends after I got off work and I ended up drinking water so my urine was too diluted to test. My CM tonight seemed more milky but stretched but my CP now seems medium, nearly medium to firm, and I swear it was feeling closed! On top of that weirdness, I've been feeling like achey/dull cramping all day, like AF sort of, with big time bloating. I went to get my son ready for bed (he still breastfeeds at 2 years old) and I had a leak patch on my shirt! What the hell?!? I am well beyond leaking stage with a two year old. Now THAT has me going... huh?!
When I TTC whilst paying heavy attention to everything... I seem to get nowhere! With my son, it wasn't even a thing... just happened! No mess, no fuss. I'm pretty perplexed as of tonight. We're still going to BD for continuity but I am just at a loss. Confusing.

hi all. Just a quick update before i head off to bed, as you all know i got my bloods done today, my results were going to be there for me tomorrow but my lovely doctor rang me at 7pm tonite! he said my levels have gone from 28 to 101. exactly 72 hours between bloods, he said they are not as high as he would like them to have been but def a good sign, he wants me back on monday to get another lot done and then also book me in for a scan in my 6th week, if the levels hav not gone as high as he is expecting them go he is going to put me in for a scan next week just to make sure everything is where it is meant to be. so he said after i get my boods done on mon he will ring me that night so i dont have to wait til the tues. starting to feel a bit more relaxed. we have decided not to tell a soul (except you ladies of course) until the doctor is 100% happy with everything, he said he is only 75% happy at the mo compared to my last pregnancies as i have excellent results this one is being very stubborn! he said with my previous ones my results for the same dpo were double to what they are now (thats 4 other pregnancies) my lowest one at 14dpo was 97 this one was 28 so huge difference. so will realx a little more and wait until monday!

Well, I had a perfect cycle and ovulated about when one would expect you to as I had a 26 to 28 day cycle, then I began swaying in December for a January attempt but the dieting threw my cycle off and I ended up having a 56 day cycle! I stopped swaying when my cycle was going wrong because I am traveling the end of this year so had to time pregnancy around that.
My first cycle was, I think, 36 days long, and my last one was 29 days... nearly back to normal... however, I had begun temp taking then and fertility friend said I ovulated like 5 days before my period?! Which I don't really believe at all.
So, obviously, it is predicting I am going to ovulate on CD28 which seems bonkers to me! But at this rate it may be right! However I am worried about a pregnancy being able to stick with such a late ovulation.

I don't think the ovulation "late-ness" has anything to do with it - I think it's the length of the luteal phase that matters?
I agree with everyone else, maybe go ask the FF forums or post a thread here on genderdreaming?

Surgena, how are you temping? Vag or mouth? Are you just taking one temp? Are you waking and getting up for any reason? Temping at the same time each morning before you move out of bed at all?
I am wondering if FF is predicting O on cd28 because it basing it on that 56 day cycle? Maybe you should exclude them from your cycle statistical calculations (averages). It might move you O up as FF uses past cycle info to interpret your charts. You could un-check "In stats" on your cycle list and see if that changes your chart?
What setting do you have your FF on? Advanced, Fertility Awareness, Research, or OPK/Monitor/OVWatch? Changing these around might help as well.

I am not sure how much of a difference vaginal temping would have on your current chart. You might want to keep the oral temping this month and if you don't get a BFP then do the vaginal.
As far as keeping it clean, there are thermometer covers or you can just wash the tip and use alcohol to clean it. It really is not that bad, but you do have to keep it clean.
Did you play with the settings on your FF?

I said this in an earlier post, but you may not have seen it, have you done this?
I am wondering if FF is predicting O on cd28 because it basing it on that 56 day cycle? Maybe you should exclude them from your cycle statistical calculations (averages). It might move you O up as FF uses past cycle info to interpret your charts. You could un-check "In stats" on your cycle list and see if that changes your chart?
What setting do you have your FF on? Advanced, Fertility Awareness, Research, or OPK/Monitor/OVWatch? Changing these around might help as well.

Hi there surgena and other may ladies! I come on line everyday to check on you all! Like a friendly stalker! So many positive bfps! Its fantastic.
I am in a very strange place myself- i have been using an ovacue which detects the maturation of the dominant follucle anx predicts the fertile window from there. i was meant to ov last saturday but started using opk smiley tests just to be really certain...but found no lh surge! I have been in touch with ovacue who say that either i am not ovulating or else am very delayed. i guess i am worried and confused . i was so excited when i saw my fertile window on the minitor. i realise vitex and sp can delay ov so have stopped these and last month my period was a week late so i am hoping to ov soon...still using smiley faces but nothing! I guess the wait is hard and for me not knowing if i will ov is so hard!

Just got back from scan.... gestational sac and yolk sac detected inside uterus! It's only measuring 5w2d though... that's at least 4 days behind what I thought it would be, not sure if that's significant or not? I thought I was 6 weeks today... but I do have longer cycles and ovulate a little later, so maybe that's what's throwing it off. No h/b yet - too early - but so excited to see the sac where it's supposed to be!!

The frozen sugar cookies are okay (obviously, they just need defrosting anyway.) Three of them have ended up in my belly, though. *doom doom doom*
ALL the vegetables were mush - unable to save. I managed to save some things and our neighbor kindly put them in her freezer until we figure out what to do.
A lot of the stuff I just should NOT go near were okay... go figure.
I have a feeling these cookies are going to ruin my sway! The freezer did this ON PURPOSE! I told my husband that he MUST take pretty much all of them with him to work tomorrow, because I cannot walk by them. I tried. It doesn't work! My will is weak.
Sigh.

Haha, I actually lost a little weight this morning... *phew*
I made my husband take those defrosted (due to broken freezer) homemade cookies to work with him. They're trouble!
What happens with delayed ovulation? Does a ready egg just sit there waiting for the right hormones combination to bust out? Does the delay make them less likely to be any good? Or do they wait and sort of suspend themselves before they complete growing to have one be released?
My temperature is no more clear this morning! I know I will O SOME time, I just give up knowing when, as my husband is fine with just DTD now every day until we are sure one way or the other.

I'm just second guessing my strategy, however being I want to get pregnant ideally this month or thereabouts, and my cycle is predictably wonky like it was last time I had a TTC month, I guess there were no other alternatives!
I'm wondering if we should cool it with the BD and him just FR for a couple days and I'll just keep an eye out on my fertile symptoms. For all I know, it's already happened because my cervix really just doesn't seem fertile today and I feel so crampy, like AF!
We've BD'd I guess 10 days in a row, yikes! MegaBD!
My son it was vacation food and a one hit likely right near ovulation... we've never been at it like rabbits.
Thanks for listening to my repetitive ramblings, girls!

omg if i had a boy that looked like that i would be trying for MORE! he is adorable! look at those eyes and those curls, i want him!!!!!
Well sorry i been MIA for a couple days, just been full on this weekend and its back to work tomorrow bugger it!
Feeling ok, get my 3rd lot of bloods done tomorrow at lunch and my doc will ring with results tomorrow nite.
Boobs are getting a bit more achy, more round the armpit area of the boobs, have a had a couple of headaches, and queasiness not so bad IF i eat breakfast, now i have never been a breakfast eater but i wake up and all i feel like is food! i have been cooking bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast for breakfast the last 3 mornings (making up for what i missed out on when on the LE diet) so will eat that then am constantly snacking throughout the day, im so hungry, NEVER have i ever had this before. Also feeling so tired could sleep all day, never wa tired with others but was a stay at home mum back then, not working 40 hours a week and 2 kids to chase after so i will blame that reason for being tired! also talk about GRUMPY and moody! poor kids and partner, i just have no patience at the mo, this kids have been driving me bananas! so they are my symptoms for now! I am going to start taking a photo of my belly every monday night, starting tomorrow! In the end i will have around 35 photos of my belly (wearing the same clothes) and the last photo will be wearing the same clothes and me holding bubby and a friend of mine who is a photographer is going to put them in one big panoramic style photo. I have seen one similar and loved it so always said i would do that next time, i love photo art!
Hope everyone else is doing well, i will be sure to let you all know my results when i get them. FX

Yes, I do just love him to pieces... he's a fabulous little boy. We really are spoiled rotten with him. Just the perfect child... he makes me want to have a million babies. I always joked that our second child (boy or girl!) will probably be a nightmare and make me demand my husband to get a vasectomy, but I'll just repeat how I've been with my son and keep my fingers crossed we have another happy and content child. :P
Your hunger symptoms sound exactly what my early symptoms were before i found out I was pregnant with my son! i.e. before morning sickness started in.
My son was conceived after my second miscarriage so I was *still* waiting for my cycle to return. We had a weekend in Liverpool and met up with a friend and went to this vegetarian eatery that had MASSIVE portions, and my husband and friend struggled (the friend was another male) and I was like, "I'm not even full yet! I'm going to finish this!" and they did NOT believe me. They placed bets. I told them they were crazy, because I was still starving. I scraped the plate clean and their jaws dropped.
Then the next day, I had this great idea to make a massively large vegetarian shephard's pie (what the?! I'm not even British and never ate one in my life!) and I spent HOURS making it... then when it came down to eating, my husband demolished his and I started to feel a little queasy so I ate the mashed potato off the top but didn't finish. I woke up the next morning to get up for work but felt like I was going to throw up. My hubby went to work as I said I was going to call in because I thought I had a stomach bug (remember: I was waiting for my cycle to return. We had like one BD while we were on holiday a few weeks before in Belgium because I had spotting so thought my period was starting there, so we did it unprotected!)
I laid there, in my mind, feeling pissed off about my period still not being there because I wanted to just try again, and then feeling pissed off I had a stomach bug because I was only a month into my new job, and then I thought, "... wait a minute."
Heeh. Big faaaaat positive. I was probably around 5 1/2 weeks at that point as I got an ultrasound a week later (since I had NO idea when I got pregnant) and was estimated at that point to be 6 1/2 weeks.
Soo... hunger... yeah... good sign. :)

Haha, I hope so!
I DO have to remind myself that my husband and I are BOTH already vegetarian and have been for a long time... so we may already be at higher odds for a girl, anyway, and maybe just got lucky with our son due to being on holiday and eating like fat kings?
His mum, bitter completely from only have 3 sons, ate a stereotypical English diet of meat/bread/potatoes/etcetera. My mom had three sons ... 2 close together, then a decade or so gap, and then two close together again. She went on a diet when she met my father (Slim Fast, helloooo 1980s) and was living off Slim Fast and coffee and cigarettes with me... then when she got pregnant with my brother, she was definitely NOT on a diet and gained weight.
My aunt was anorexic/bulimic with my ONLY girl first cousin, but gained a lot of weight with her second (a boy).
So, there is something to this, I think, looking within my own immediate family.
Also, both of my older brothers had girls FIRST and boys SECOND... and I always wondered if it was because it was a mixture of a new and fresh relationship with one of my brothers (so likely going at it constantly?) and my other older brother, perhaps they were going at it to TRY to get pregnant.
So, dunno!
I've had three cups of coffee today... can anyone tell? Heeh, :x Jabbermouth.
