My OPKs have been stark white negative for the last 3 days, ive never seen them so light, would it be because i am drinking so much water? My urine is very very light in colour, almost clear. I thought i would have had a + by now but maybe its going to be today, i really hope so because i only have 1 left. Ill have to go to the chemist tomorrow and get more if i dont see a + today.

Bec! Yay!! I'm with TTC5 on this one - surely its now safe to say the C word cos its sure sound like you are the P word! :-)
Cinss - whats happening??
Please could you girls help me with a dilemma I am having: since this month was so weird for me, I have stopped taking some of my supplements *in case* I am well, you know, the P word ;-) And I am not sure they are safe to take if you are? -- Things like URAL, extra potassium, zinc and vit D? how have you all approached this? I am still doing the HE diet, and still drinking V8 and coconut water and lemon water.
And then secondly, TTC5 - were you exercising at all for your sway? I know you were Dloui - I am not doing much at all (except for carrying and lifting heavy kids!) and was interested you hear how important you girls thought this was to swaying.

Haha, ok I think it's safe to say it ;)
Babyblessings, ural should only be taken from AF to O but I'm not sure about the potassium. Zinc & vit D are fine to take. In terms of exercising, I think it is important because it raises testosterone levels. I lift weights 2-3 times a week and do a bit of cardio as well. Have been doing the weights for 12 months now so hopefully it's made some difference.

For me personally I think diet and exercise was important to me only because I NEVER exercised at all before so I wanted to do the complete opposite of what I use to do. So I started the HE diet and started going to the gym, I definitely think it helped up my T levels.
If you can't go to the gym you could do all kinds of things at home that would be beneficial as well if you want to exercise.

baby blessings, I was moderately lifting weights and doing 20-30 mins of cardio 3-4 times a week when DS1 and DS2 opps happened to me :) I totally believe it was my healthy, high protein healthy fat diet and the moderate excerise I was doing that got me 2 boys.
Bec, I am sooooo excited for you!!!!!!!!!!

Bec Congrats Hun, here's to a HH pregnancy :)
Babyblessings, i understand the dilemma, you figure you could be preggers so there is really no need to continue on the supps. Just to be on the safe side though i would say continue a prenatal, Vit D is fine unless you are getting lots of sun, and folic acid is always good to take. Ural can be dropped for sure, it really shouldnt be taken for more than 5 days in a row before O. Sounds like you have the right idea though continue the HE diet, and if you are not working out it wouldnt really make a difference at this stage if you are pregnant. Buuuuut (im sorry to say it) if you are not pregnant (i hope you are) but if you arent, it would be a good idea to do a little workout every couple of days, so that next month you have that under your belt too. :)
As for me my OPK was almost + last night so i think it will be + today and i seem to O on the day of my + so we did 1 attempt last night with a teeny tiny bit of preseed. We will try again tonight, i am thinking about TBM tonight just because DPs load will be smaller. His load last night was huge (sorry TMI warning) I was spilling so much of it out, it was like a flood, i had my knees up and even tried crossing my legs but there was such a huge wet patch on the sheets :(

babyblessings sorry by workout i mean lifting weights not cardio. The reason lifting weights is good for a boy sway is because it raises our testosterone levels. Examples of excersises would be -
Calf raises, Sit ups, Push ups, Squats, Bicep curls with weights, Triceps with weights. Just for about 15mins 3 times a week.
But its not extreemly important and don't feel like you have to if you dont want to.

Ahhhhh, ok! I get it :-)
Thanks so much Cinss -- I really don't think I am UTD -- having quite a few cramp-type feelings yesterday and today - exactly how I usually feel a week before AF is due :-(
So I will definitely add your exact suggestion into my sway for next month - sounds not only do-able, but exactly what I need to be doing on the HE diet lol! can't handle this flabbiness on my belly!

Thankyou all for your wishes :) I think my due date is Feb 27th.
Babyblessings, just back onto ural again... I know it's safe to take during pregnancy for a short time but I wouldn't take it during the 2ww unless it was necessary. The salt content is too high to be taken for a prolonged amount of time. Like Cinss said, weight exercises will only help your sway.
Cinss, the TBM might be worth a shot if you leaked so much last night. My DH wanted to give it a go too but we were too 'in the moment' to stop and do it.
PoP, Lola, how are you ladies?
I am having a blood test tomorrow, feeling a bit nervous!

(Aurora and dloui too) I am afraid that if I start now, my body will think its in 'losing weight' mode?
Just what Cinss said. If you are doing the HE diet and eating the protein and everything else you should be then lifting weights a few times a week is not going to make you lose weight, you will build muscle and that raises T levels. I worked out 2-3 times a week for 30 mins and did all weights no cardio, but I'm sure you could do some cardio if you wanted to.

So i did end up doing the TBM last night haha. It was a funny different experience. I had DP release into a cup then i sucked it up with a syringe, had a little preseed inserted already, put my finger in to find my cervix opening and realised it is actually angled a little to the left, i never really knew that before, so it was a little difficult to get the syringe in the right place, maybe i should have that checked out? Anyway after it was over i didnt spill a drop, but as i was laying there with my legs up i realised i didn't have the big O, ahh well nothing i can do about that now. I had a temp rise today so i definatly think i Od yesterday. FX

Massive congrats again Bec....your numbers sound great!!
I am just waiting to O....god knows when that will happen....anytime between sunday and 2 weeks from then lol. No idea when to start attempts?? It is getting so disheartening and stressful that some days my mind starts swaying and thinking I should just give up and be happy with my 5 girls. Then I see a baby or someone talks about being pregnant and I want one again. Just wish I knew when I was going to get pregnant...or that I wasn't going to have another one...so I could get on with my life and stop obsessing over when it will happen!!

Hey ladies, just catching back up....
HUGE CONGRATS to Bec and Dloui!!!
Cinss, hope your TBM worked for you this month!
As for me, I think we are giving up, so I've been purposefully not coming on here. I am definitely getting depressed and my DH is tired of seeing me sad all the time. He pointed out that he knows I love coming to this website, but it's probably not good for me, and I think he is right. I'll still check in from time to time.....I just don't think I can keep ttc. It's pretty much consumed me for the past 2 years and I need to move on and put my focus into the family we have and work and all. Anyway, not to be a bummer, but I think it's the best thing for me to do. And I don't want to do IVF anymore, I'm scared of it and I think it's stupid for us to spend all that money and then have no money for a baby, or babies. But, love you all to death and super happy that good things are happening for you all!!!!! xoxo

Big hugs Lola...I will miss you so much but COMPLETELY understand...although from another point of view. I had to leave a board full of friends similar to this when I had #5....I just couldn't cope when almost everyone else got the dream gender and I was one of very few who got another of the same. The board made me so depressed and it was affecting my life badly so I had to leave and throw myself back into my life. Take care and I hope with all my heart that one day you get that oops baby!

Thank you chit chat, and thanks Bec. So disappointing, but as you say, longer on everything can only mean a better sway ;)
We DTD 6am Monday after OPK at 6pm Sunday the previous night, now worried that may have tried too early as trying to combine Diet & Shettles style approach but now have pain in my ovaries 2 days after OPK (6pm Tuesday), does that mean I am now only ovulating so tried too early :-( In a way now will be happy if BFP so can perfect the attempt better next month!! Any advice appreciated.
having 'failed' this month, I am probably not a good one for advice, but-- I alot of people on this site really stand by the idea that timing (shettles) is not as important as diet etc (sorry shettles fans ;(). And I must tell you that BOTH DD's of mine were conceived right ontop of ovulation! I would say that 6am monday, 6am tuesday, 6 am wednesday AND 6 am thursday is a great attempt - remember that you want as much :bluesperm: up there as possible, so you keep 'adding' to whats there! I would keep going til you get a negative OPK to be sure you catch that egg!!
Atomic replied to me in a PM saying that to sway girl, you need to be releasing everyday for up to a week, so four or 5 days in a row is fine. And I know that TTC5 who has a baby boy on the way mentioned she DTD right through her fertile period of +/-5 days (right TTC5?)
As a matter of interest, are you using pre-seed? meant to be great for swaying blue!
good luck!

Babyblessings thanks for the advice yes preseed purchased and used (thanks to advice on here) Previously was looking at using Bicarb of Soda however the drink gave me a headache and I decided not to douche - could not quite take the risk of burning down there infection etc!! :-)
Good advice on timing thanks.
It caught me by surpise the first OPK as it's been later the other cycles recently and then just jumbped forward again! Hard to plan everything to be perfect but all we can do is try our best!! I am sure as others have said BFN does mean you get more diet etc strength and I am sure it's best not to rush these things so will be holding out for you to get BFP soon, it's hard the more we think about all this baby business the more important / stressful it seems to be but I am now going to relax and hope for a BPF / BFN to give me more of a chance for perfection ;-) Good luck
Lots of blue baby dust to all :-)

Glad that you are both looking ok Bec and TTC5 -- fingers crossed all stays that way
Well, as for me - I guess this month was not our month. After 2 BFN a few days ago, AF arrived today :'-(
Oh bugger :(

babyblessings sorry about AF, she is such a pain :(
chitchat you can have O pains before during or after O, just to make it harder to pinpoint ;)

Thanks all for your advice and help. I have traces of blood this morning, c.60 hrs after OPK and c. 48 hrs after TTC - is that too early for implanation or maybe something not right / lost, certainly not usual mid cycle? Any advice appreciated. Will not get hopes up for BFP as quite happy to have another month to prepare etc but will be glad when can eat normally again ;-)
good luck all

That does sound a bit early for implantation to me, generally implantation happens 5 - 10 days after O. It could possibly have been an O bleed, i have read about that happening, and the timing would be spot on for that. Its nothing to worry about, good luck for a BFP :)

Yes too early for implantation. Did you use baking soda?

No you dont need to use baking soda, TTC5 was asking because that may have caused a bleed, it can irritate your cervix.

Well I got the higher job and have decided to give TTC a break for about 9-12 months. I'm not going to try this cycle cause it just doesn't feel right. I am going to spend my time getting healthy again, exercising, eating a boy friendly diet and taking sups so I am ready when the time comes to start TTC again. After so long on the HE diet I wanna take the time to get back to a healthy weight.....something tells me I need to do this even though I want a baby now. I won't be on as often but am not going anywhere! 2-3 months out from TTC I will buy the personalised plan and make sure I am on track. I need to make some life changes to get healthier so I have the best chance possible!!

Congrats on the job PoP! I think your plan sounds really sensible - I decided to do similar for myself and feel like I was in awesome shape and very healthy for this pg. I also feel like I had a good boy sway just via lifestyle and diet. I hope you enjoy the new position and its benefits, as well as a break from TTC stress.

Thanks, NBP- I have found that I'm not so good at moving on, but I'm trying to only log on once a week or so. My emotions are so up and down about it all....I get optimistic that a miracle will happen around O time and then all is dashed when AF comes and I feel stupid for still trying and caring. Anyway, this site is awesome and I really can't take too long of a break, so I'll still be around here and there.
POP, congrats on your job!!! I think your plan sounds super solid!
Bec, I think you've got multiples in there, lady! When is your scan?
Cinss, good luck testing next week.....you've got to end up with a bfp soon.
Skrimpy, I can't believe you are around 10wks already....hope move and all is going well!
So, we bd'ed like CRAZY this cycle, as we always try to switch it up some. I'm feeling better later because I've got a month of vacation coming up and some traveling going on, which takes my mind off of ttc.
xoxo
