I had a quick look and I can't see a June thread so thought I would start it.

Here's to a fantastic month with lots of BFPs! :) :)

Auroara, you turned DH down?! Maybe he will get frisky again? You can hope, right?

Lola, what a laugh about the Blue Wiggle. We've been to a few shows but I can't say I have ever been chatted up by a wiggle ;) How funny. That's great that your DH has scored himself the buff role. I love when my DH works out, it's so hot! Glad you are feeling normal again. Sounds like a change in diet may have been what caused all the cramping and spotting last time. I'm not sure about the trigger this time. I asked about it at my last appointment and my doc just said we'll see how the u/s looks. I'm going to ask for it again though.

POP, was your attempt on O day a good one?

DH and I have been DTD every 2nd day. Will do a few more attempts when I know O is closer.

Yeah I turned him down..what was I thinking?

He said I could have a raincheck, but seems reluctant to set a date...lol...knowing my luck, it will take him another two weeks just to get over the idea of pregnancy sex!

I love that Lola about the blue wiggle...how hilarious! I haven't seen much of the wiggles, so now I'll have to look up Mr. Blue to see how hot he is!

Bec, that is what we are doing also, DTD every other day. DH is intent on that, too, since the urologist told us that is the best timing for max sperm. He fussed at me about making him dtd 2 days in a row this past month, but I felt like the egg would be gone by the time we got to 48 hours. I should have waited though.

Yea, he does have a pretty hot bod, I am lucky there. You guys know he is a ballet dancer, right? He really hates working out, which makes me laugh. I think he hates the gym with all of the meatheads all over the place. He is used to lifting up ballerinas all day so weights are not nearly as fun, I think. LOL I told him he could bench press my heavy ass anytime, I weigh a good 40 lbs more than those girls, at the least. But yea, I think with both of us working out and getting more toned, our sex life will be better. It's not terrible, that's for sure, but it does get difficult when you are tired.....you ladies kwim for sure.

POP, you never know about that egg. It doesn't necessarily mean it's old, it might have just taken a bit longer than usual to mature due to hormones or who knows what. I wouldn't consider this month a bust for you, but hey, let's hope that at the very least, you have a normal o and cycle next time if you aren't preggers now!

And oh yea, isn't that funny about the blue wiggle? I don't think they are together anymore, I never see anything with them except reruns, but my girls are too old for that now. I think one of them, the yellow one?, had a rare and debilitating disease that he was dx with towards the end of their performing days.

Yeah Bec it was pretty good I guess. Was in the morning, I O'ed before and 4 times after...Laid down for 2hrs after and nothing escaped for a change until I stood up. Had soooooooo much EWCM!

My temps are different this cycle. Normal after O they rise high and just stay there going up and down a little (sorry you can only see 3 cycles on FF for some reason?)...this time they keep climbing and climbing almost a full degree (.75) Celsius so far (1.35 F)!!! I'm not sick or anything either.

Bec lets hope that you the thread starter will be the lucky one this month with a BFP. And POP also :) Are you doing the SMEP this cycle? I think that is what i will try next time. And i may try the cough syrup next time too, for some reason i need more ewcm. Ill have a look at the other threads to find the exact name of it, has anyone tried that?

I'm hoping you are psychic POP and if i fall preggers this month i should be due around April 2013, so that will be interesting to see. Actually mis2ninos said something close to that also, so lets wait and see :)

I started my health kick yeasterday, i went for a walk (in the rain) and it was actually really nice, i felt pretty good afterwards, i definatly think i need to get out of the house more and off the computer all day LOL. I drank 8 glasses of water so spent more time on the loo than anything else, i guess its good timing as my DD is just about ready for toilet training, she comes in and hands me the paper haha. Any tips and tricks for a first timer to get 2 year olds on the toilet? She will do it if it is her idea, but if i tell her to she runs away.

The wiggles have all changed now, the blue one is still in the group, but there are 3 new ones including a female.

Cinss I used Mucinex to get more EWCM it seemed to help, but the cough syrup is Guafessin or something like that

Auroara, at least you have a raincheck and not a 'no'! I saw a pic of your belly in another thread. You look lovely :)

Lola, my DH gets really funny when I mention DTD two days in a row. Not matter how many times I tell him it's fine he always asks. He just needs reassurance I guess. Ballet dancers always have a nice, toned body. Is your DH quite muscle-y too? My DH has very muscular arms and shoulders. He's working on toning his abs at the moment. He motivates me too which is good.

PoP, hopefully you're having an implantation dip today. FX!

Cinss, yep I have used the cough syrup. It doesn't do much for me though. I'm going to take some more this arvo and tonight just in case. Good on you for starting your health kick. Feels great after you have done exercise doesn't it? I love the feeling. I just did my weights workout so am feeling pretty good now :) I'm trying to toilet train my 2 year old daughter as well. My first was so easy, she was fully toilet trained, night and day, by 27 months.

I got a +ve OPK this morning, woofriggenhoo! We'll dtd this afternoon and probably tomorrow. I have an u/s at 2.45 tomorrow afternoon so I will know if I have O'd by then. I'm hoping I will O later tomorrow because then we'll be able to get another attempt in before O rather than after O.

Hi Melon!

If I were swaying now, I would get the personalized plan from Atomic. It does cost a little bit of money, but I think it would be worth it for someone to plan everything for you! There is a lot of new info on the site too--ATomic has written up new essays. Good luck!

I would get a plan too... Was planning to until I got preggers a few months early lol. I think even if you didn't follow it to the letter, it's worth the cost for a great summary and personalized recommendations :)

The white dots indicate that the temp may not be accurate. Mine are like that because of inconsistent waking times.

dloui, looking forward to seeing some pics and hearing that baby is nice and healthy.

I had a scan today which showed one almost mature follice. My doc wants me to trigger on Wednesday but I did another OPK today after I got home from the scan and it was positive, the darkest line I have ever gotten. I don't think my OPK yesterday was a true positive, just an 'almost' positive. So I actually think I will O before the trigger. I'm going to do the trigger anyway, it can't hurt!

YAY BEC!!!!! FXFXFXFXFXFXFX!!!!! I am so hoping this is a good month for you. I feel so much better after a good workout, too. I am really liking how much I am motivated to do lately, too. Been hitting the gym 4-5 times a week. I just CANNOT get this belly fat off me, though. I feel like an old woman with a tubby apple shape, and I hate it. I have definitely lost inches on my butt and thighs, but this belly is stubborn as all hell. And my DH is not a big beefy guy, he really had the classic ballet dancer build, which is broad on top with more arm and shoulder muscles than pecs, and he has a great butt, but lean and muscular is really their ideal. Male ballet dancers have to keep up with the "look" just as much as ballerinas, and they can't be too stocky and bulky, or bean-pole on the other end. But age is working him over, too.....we both are struggling to get the same results we used to much easier back 5+ years ago!

Hopeful, CONGRATS!!!! So glad you popped in to tell us the good news! I hope all goes well and you have an easy and awesome 9 months!

Aurora, thanks goodness you got some nooky finally! :shemademe:

Dloui, I am excited to see your nubshot! I don't blame you for being nervous, I am a hot mess before ultrasounds! You are getting up there in weeks now, for sure!

Melon, yep, still here! Been a while, hope you are doing well! ITA with the others, a personalized plan is a good idea. I think lots of women are having good success with the "methods" here! Glad you are around again!

Skrimpy, how's the moving/selling going? Feeling good?

As for me, I'm 10dpo, and other than being utterly depressed lately for some reason (which does have my eyebrows raised a bit as it is not usually like me, although the infertility thing might be to blame), I don't feel squat, but I don't have any spotting at all, which is a nice change. Man, I was freaking out about that the last 2 months! I think I'll try to test in 2 days, why not. I've got a FRER just burning a hole in my medicine cabinet. I am such a glutton for punishment.

Cinss
June 4th, 2012, 05:20 PM
Wow we are gonna see 3 BFPs in a row!!! :fx: for you all Pop, Lola, Bec :bluecheer:

dloui my health kick is going great, my arms are killing me typing this haha. I found this really easy beginners get fit plan on the net, it slowly gets me doing a little something each day so by the end of the 45 days i should have a decent level of fitness so i can move onto more hardcore excersises. I havent really spoken about this before but i used to be a smoker, i quit 7 months ago for my sway and i have really started feeling the benifits of that, when i walk now my lungs dont burn like they used to, its kind of weird for me, but i am pretty proud of myself for being able to do it :) Drinking lots of water which i was really lazy about should do wonders for my skin and hopefully ewcm.

Lola i can totally understand the feeling depressed because of infertility :( I was pretty bad last week, i actually had to look up a few websites on that topic to see if there was anything i could do to get out of this funk. I didn't think all the BFNs were effecting me so much but i guess that kind of silently creeps up on you, then bam your down in the dumps and angry at yourself and the world. I really hope everyone gets their wish here, and SOON :)

Lola, 4-5 times a week is great! It's so hard finding the time I find. I try to get up early and run on the treadmill, that way I'm done before the girls wake up and I feel good the whole day knowing I've done my exercise. Yay for no more spotting. And you go for it, test away, why shouldn't you!

dloui, a trigger injection makes you ovulate between 36-40 ish hours after you have it. You have to have a mature follicle for it to work though.

Cinss, sounds like you are doing great on the fit plan. Well done :)

POP, I have a good feeling this month. I so think you are pregnant!

Still +ve OPK today. Went ahead and gave myself the trigger. So I guess O will be most likely tomorrow.

It just feels weird....at first I was 100% sure I would get a BFP. Then AF arrived and I thought I must of missed my O as I had always fallen pregnant first attempt every time before. Then the second cycle I totally expected a BFP and when I kept getting BFN's I thought they must be crappy cheapie tests...then AF arrived. The next 2 cycles I wasn't as hopeful but had "reputable psychic readings" on my side saying these were my months...but nope, AF arrived. This cycle I just don't think it's gonna happen. I can't see myself getting that second line when I test, I can't see myself being pregnant...I am even starting to feel like it may never happen.

The joys of TTC....

POP, whether you are up the duff or not, (God I can't stop saying that ), your chart is truly amazing. You had a perfect dip on 7 dpo, and now it's rising again, it's like the example charts they show you in that how to control your fertility book of a BFP cycle. I really hope your feeling is wrong and that this is YOUR month!!

Cniss, I can't feel the pain exactly of getting BFN's after BFN's but my Nov. cycle which was a bust was a BFN, and it started to panic me about my fertility since my two boys were pull out accidents. I really thought if hubby dropped a full load on O day nonetheless that it would BOOM! instantly happen. I tortured myself during that cycle and the one that I did get pregnant on, wondering what happened to my fetile myrtile status! I know that you have seen so many cycles of BFN, and I can totally understand how discouraging it must be. *hugs*

Bec, yay for O'ing!!! yay for trigger! go make that handsome baby boy now!!

TTC5, have you bought tons of boy clothing yet or u waiting? I got some things but waiting to really go shoppin once the Fall/winter stuff arrives. I have a few cute dresses that I can get a turtleneck or something underneath it so it can be worn in the Fall but def. need some Fall baby girl clothes!

LolaInLove
June 5th, 2012, 12:12 PM
Bec, DO IT, girl!!!! Are you doing the SMEP this month?

POP, all I can say is that it blows completely not getting pregnant when you want to, but on the VERY bright side for you, you have made a handful of healthy babies already, so there is no reason to think you won't fall pg again. I'm forgetful today, but did you get a hormone check at the doctor? I was reading that sometimes it's the littlest thing like your Vit D level is deficient or maybe you need a little progesterone boost in the 2ww like I do? I'm sorry you are frustrated, hun. But, everyone is right on, your chart looks spot on and backache is a sign of pregnancy. You never know! I know the most common complaint right before a bfp is that AF felt on its way and that is it!

Cinss, good for you for quitting and for starting the workout plan! I know, it's kind of taboo on preg/mothering sites to admit you smoke (or used to). I used to also, on and off, mostly socially, but it's been a while. You do feel so much better, especially after working out. That's a good sign that your arms are super sore! Once you start working out regularly, they won't get sore anymore as your muscles will be used to it.

Bec, that's awesome that you have a treadmill....that is so the way to do it when you have kids and a busy schedule, just have one at home and hop on when you can. We go to the gym and take the girls, and they go to a kids care area for a bit while we work out, and then we all go to the indoor pool and swim laps. I've been teaching my kids to swim and my oldest is getting really good, and it's good exercise for her since she seems to be in a growth spurt and eats like a horse....I'm worried she'll start to gain a little weight if I don't get her doing more than ballet twice a week. Anyway, it's fun for us all.

Aurora, I love shopping for my girls, I have to say. I'm kinda funny lately, I almost want another one more than a boy!

Hahaa aurora I am loving the "up the duff" comments. Everyone should be getting that way ASAP, do you hear me gals????!

Bec I hope you catch that egg, the dark OPK sounds fab to me! Will the trigger shot not do much of anything if you've already O'd, or will it possibly trigger a second O?

Hopeful congrats on your BFP. Praying for a sticky bean for you :D

Lola thank you for asking how we are doing, will update below. I know what you mean about the stubborn mama belly. I was fighting mine so hard and felt like I was really making progress. Now you can't even tell I was close to a washboard... BFP and my body just gives it up! Have you looked at Julie Tupler's tummy exercises? Those really helped my tummy.

PoP I hope this is your month even if you're not feeling it :)

AFM - we got an offer on our house! I am so thrilled. It is essentially a full price offer, we're just going to help with about 1,500 dollars in closing costs. We are waiting on an inspection and bank appraisal right now, but as long as those come in good we should be closing on this house in about a month and will be the proud owners of only one house, woohoo!

We move next Thursday and I am so very excited and ready! I'm really feeling the first trimester fatigue at this point and that's tough, but I think I'm doing pretty well. I've gotten some entrees into the freezer to cover us the first few nights we're in the new house and I think that will help a lot.

Honor and the other kiddos are doing great. I'm still nursing her and it doesn't feel painful. I still have plenty of milk so we'll see how long this keeps up. I'm trying to get her to take a sippy cup but so far she just chews on it. Hopefully she figures it out soon in case my milk supply tanks!

I work at a University in a management role (full-time) and we are moving to a new campus May/June next year and I really need to be at work for the transition and for a month or two after we reopen. I really wanted to take 12 weeks off, then return 4 days a week for the next 16 months. Our maternity leave package allows me to do that while getting full pay as we have a 26 week full pay maternity leave that you can take in a few different options. If I get AF this weekend, I am unsure if I should TTC next month...if I do I will only be able to take 8 weeks off and then 19 months at 4 days per week. But that will be my last attempt until about November!!

I don't know if I should just skip next attempt and wait until Nov or give it a go? My job is fantastic and has so many perks (free dental treatment for my family, 5 weeks paid holidays per year, 10 sick days and 5 family leave days per year, 24% super, 2 pay rises per year) but it sucks that I may have to postpone extending my family due to work!!

Cinss

That does sound like an awesome job pop, and thats a hard decision to make. Only you know what will work out best for you and your family. Hopefully you are UTD already.

Plum3
June 6th, 2012, 07:54 AM
POP, I think only you can decide what is best for you and your family. Will you have to wait to try again until November because of work? What does your DH think? I hope you are pregnant now so you don't even have to worry about it all.

Cinss, those comments about relaxing and letting it 'just happen' really get me angry. I know they come from niave people who have either never been tried to become pregnant or fallen pregnant within a month or so, but I get so frustrated at them. And it's not even for me that I feel frustrated it is for my friends irl and on here that have been trying for so long. Ahh well what can you do?

Lola, yeah we are doing SMEP. But we will have DTD 4 days in a row instead of three like the SMEP says. Check out my chart and you'll see what I mean. Not that that's a bad thing. That's really cool that you take the girls swimming after after your workout. How do you get time?! You work full time don't you?

Skrimpy, I think I if I O before the trigger then the trigger will possibly make me O again providing there is another mature follicle. Some people say that the trigger can override the natural LH surge though so I'm not 100% sure what will happen! Either way I will O so that's the main thing. Yay for selling the house! Must be a weight off your shoulders. BTW, I'm doing tuplers and they are really helping. I have gone from a 2 finger gap in the middle to a one finger gap in 3 1/2 weeks. Just thought I would let you know ;) Lola, get on them, they work!

dloui128
June 6th, 2012, 08:36 AM
It sounds like you have a great job PoP. Only you can decide what is more important. The way you explain it though its really only a matter of 4 weeks that you will lose though right? taking 8 weeks off up front as opposed to 12?

POP, you are such a tease by not temping this morning :P Was looking forward to your temps...imo you are already utd, but, it's totally up to you...your job does sound so kickass, I wish mine had that many days off and that many benefits, but it is a lot better than where I used to work!

yay for selling your house so quickly skrimpy!

and hello to everyone else!

I'm wearing this really weird maternity shirt i bought online today that is loose up top by my boobs but really tight? (around the stomach) and it's so loose up top it keeps falling off my shoulder but it is literally squeezing the baby on the stomach! Bleh, I had mixed feellings about it as I walked out the door this morning, but was in a rush! Now I'm feeling weird, like I'm putting baby on display wayyyy too much and the whole loose up top thing but not loose where I need it is driving me nuts! Can't wait till today is over at work just so I can get out of this contracption!

Thanks for the tuplers info, I am so trying that right away! I didn't test this morning (12dpo) either POP, didn't want to see a bfn. Since I started my progesterone again, I figured I'll just test tomorrow or Friday and then if bfn, I will stop the supplements. It usually staves my AF off for a day or two. But still no spotting! I am convinced it was lack of fat and carbs.

POP, I am in a similar boat with my job. It would really be best if I had a baby in April or May because I could take until around middle of September and work at home. Our ballet season runs from late September to late March/early April, and it would be best if I was not out then. However, given our situation, if I got pregnant today, I would figure it out, and if we end up doing IVF next summer, we are going to go when it is best for us and not worry about work. But everyone is right, it's totally up to your family how you want to go about it. I would say to not put it off too long, though!

Bec, we do get home late sometimes, but I try to have my DH have some dinner in the crock pot or something ready to go so we get the girls off to bed by 9:30pm at the latest. In the summer, I don't care when they go to bed, so we have a more laid back schedule. But yes, I do work full time! Our lives are really hectic during the ballet season, so we'll only have our gym days on the weekends. I am so excited for your attempt this month!!!!!!

Skrimpy, congrats on the (almost) house sale! I was wondering how you were getting along with the fatigue- the 1tri is horrible for me in that regard. I am sure your bigger kiddos will be helpful, too. And aw, I wouldn't cut down on nursing unless you really feel you need to. I miss it so much....I absolutely LOVED nursing my babies.

Dloui, I am so excited for your scan, too!

Right? I've been working out a lot, and my butt and legs look way better, but my darn tummy is just spilling out no matter what I do. I'll copy the dvd and mail it to you after your bub is born! My kids aren't even at school yet so I can only imagine the busy-ness will get worse. But I do love it! I only have the book by Julie- How To Lose Your Mummy Tummy. It's really good. You would have got that book in the pack? Did you get the belt as well? I love the blog Skrimpy mentioned as well, it's really helpful. There is no actual website out there that explains it all, you can find tid bits of info on all different sites though. The book is great, you'll learn everything in that.

GL Bec!!!!

Lola, I think you will be pleased. The splint is annoying to be perfectly honest, but I had a huge gap and I think wearing it made a big difference with how quickly I was able to trim up my tummy and close that diastasis. I don't wear it every day right now, but I am trying to wear it most days, especially when I'll be moving a lot of boxes, to help minimize the gap with this baby. Julie says you can wear it as long as comfortable throughout pregnancy.

I think every mama should know about Tuplers and diastasis issues. It's a health and well-being thing as much as it is a figure/vanity thing.

Oh dloui I hope you see a def little boy nub!

Skrimpy, I am looking forward to wearing the splint thing, I keep feeling like my guts are falling out now knowing about it! I got a white one so hopefully it won't show much. I don't wear tight clothes, but is it pretty easy to see underneath your clothes? And yes, you are so right, all pregnant women should be told about it. My DH said that he felt if most pregnant women get it, that our obs should know more about it and tell us, which I agree with. I know mine opened up again when I gained the swaying weight.....I am SO excited to know about this and start doing it!

Cinss, I tested yesterday morning (13dpo) but a bfn, of course, so I stopped my progesterone supps so AF will likely start late tonight or tomorrow. Not surprised, though.

babyblessings
June 9th, 2012, 03:17 AM
Hi, my name is babyblessings, and I am a terrible poster!

Perhaps it would be better to just start from scratch, and re-introduce myself...

I have been on and (more!) off the TTC a boy thread since the end of last year!
At that time, we had decided that we were going to give TTC another try so I read through the heaps of info on this site, asked a few questions and took it all in - but I became very overwhelmed and terrified - what if I got something wrong and ended up swaying pink by accident!? So I took a step back and took a deep breath...
And then, just when I plucked up the courage to simply do the best I could, and just as I had planned our sway, hubby decided that maybe sticking with the two beautiful daughters we have was a better plan... I was gutted!! Not that I am unhappy with what I have - they are too precious for words! But the emotional rollercoaster ride once again, got the better of me. But I saw his point of view, and focussed on the blessings I have  and delighted in the 'easy life' two kids of the same gender would give us. Buuuut, the longing to 'complete' our family didn't completely go away... only this time, I found myself realising that it didn't matter if the sway didn't work, I just wanted one more precious little blessing to join our family!
And so... I got brave (not sure yet about which - attempting to sway, or leaping to 3 kids!!) and we tried!!! Twice!! But I got two BFN in a row - was heart-breaking.
And so now, I have become brave again, not only to show up on this fantastic forum again  but to plan another sway with some help from you folk!! I am officially TTC to JUNE!!
There are a few familiar folk…
TTC5... I am soooooooooo incredibly happy for you!! You must be overjoyed!
And to PoP and Lola - I am so sorry - I have been there and those BFNs are just heartbreaking. Lola - after my BFNs I too took a little break and it helped me.
Bec – I was so sorry to read your news… cannot imagine how tough that must have been. But I see you have tried again - I have fingers & toes crossed that you will see a BFP in a week or so!
Hobbermittens… do you know what you are having??? Very exciting!
And to everyone else, “hi!”

Hi babyblessings :) i think i have seen you on the forum a few times but i dont think we have been ttc at the same time? I started my sway in December last year but i was lurking for about 6 months before that. Anyway welcome back, a lot of the boy swayers are preggers now so it is great to have another who can join us in ttc a boy. After 6 BFNs in a row for me i have pretty much dropped a lot of "boy" things from my sway and at this point woyld be happy with a boy or a girl baby. It will be number 2 for me and number 4 for my DP.

Pop - oh drat!!!!!!! FX for next month!!!!!!!!! Will you do anything different this time? x x

Yeah I am going back on the EPO & Fish Oil. Mucinex from end of AF to O. Soy Isoflavones CD 3-7. And the good old prenatal & folic. The only thing I have never dropped is preseed....but that can't hurt a sway surely!!

Fingers crossed my cycle is shorter this time and not getting even longer like every other cycle!! So I can actually get a good attempt in this time.

I can't remember... does alcohol, and specifically wine (red or white) sway boy or girl? I am out on a girls evening tonight, but I don't want anyone to question me on the no drinking thing... if I have a couple of glasses will it ruin my sway? :nails:

Oh good! thanks TTC5 - I managed to only have 3 glasses last night... but that is a relief... kinda like my evening glass - one of the downsides to pregnancy! LOL

PS - I am so happy for you! I imagine it feels unreal??!

So this is what I have been doing.. buuuuuuut - I only started this all about 2-3 weeks back! not sure its been long enough??? I have been eating loads of meat - emphasis on red meat, and either an egg on wholewheat toast or peanut butter on toast every morning. Have been drinkking lots of juice and using stevia instead of sugar in my tea/coffee each morning. I have REALLY battled to steer away completely from sugar - I am one BAD chocaholic! but I have tried..
I have done the HE diet - have gained 5kgs!! :worry:
Have been on a good multivitamin (which does contain a small amount of L’arg), taken potassium, zinc, krill oil (omega 3),Vit D, FA, Vit C, and I have been taking a capsule you can buy here which raises testosterone and estrogen NATURALLY! I have just started on my daily dose of a URAL equivalent (called citrosoda but does have glucose in it! A little worried about that) and vicks chesty cough syrup. Also started yesterday with loads of lemon water and freshly squeezed orange juice. Salt on everything! Going to also go out and buy a mix of nuts and some bananas this morning too!
DH has been on Vit D, Vit E, Vit C, fish oil, potassium, zinc, multivit, L’arg, Ginseng, TT and similar diet to me. HE drinks laods of water anyway - so that was a bonus. Has now cut out as much sugar and caffiene as possible - we are 5 days away from our attempt! Still trying to decide on using EW and BSD, and No idea about moon phases and all that, but what do you all think??? a little worried we didn't make these changes soon enough!

BB that plan looks great. Very much how i started my sway. Not everyone is keen on BSD or EW anymore, there have been a few discussions about them and how they may affect conception. Preseed or natural ewcm seem to be the better options for a boy sway. I just thought id mention that incase you wanted to look into it more. Im not too far behind you with O so i am excited to see how you go :)

Hi ladies,

Hope you all had great weekends. My DD1 turned 4 today :) Cliche, but hard to believe she is 4 already!

dloui, I'm glad to hear all is well with bub. I am hopeless with nub shots but it sounds like you are getting a few boy guesses.

babyblessings, welcome back. Your sway sounds really good! Mine started off like that too, I couldn't keep it up though. I agree with Cinss, I would give the EW a miss and go for preseed. Thankyou for your kind words, it was hard but we know it wasn't meant to be. Anyway, good luck with your attempts. When are you going to start DTD?

Lola and PoP, sorry about the bfns :( I really am. And I am getting sick of being sorry. I just want it to happen for you ladies xx

PoP, I think the soy isoflavones will help your cycles become more regular. What does are you going to take? I wish the personalised plans were around when we first started trying, I so would have got one. I guess I could still get one now, but I can't shake the 'not caring if it's a boy or a girl feeling' at the moment.

Cinss, the Robitussin contains a smaller dosage of Guaiphenesin than Mucinex. You could always just drink more of the syrup though. I use it but don't find it makes much of a difference to my CM.

I'm 3-4dpo today. I keep telling myself no POAS this time. No testing out the trigger and no testing earlier than 11dpo this time. Let's see how I go!

This will be my 7th month trying. I started the diet and supps 6 weeks before our first attempt and every month i pretty much dropped something from my list to now i only take FA and prenatal. I am eating healthy but trying to loose the weight the HE diet put on me in the first 5 months. I have started working out and it is highly unlikely i would concieve a boy while doing weightloss but i just cant stand it anymore and have accepted that i will probably have another girl and i am fine with that, i just want a baby already. So did you fall pregnant pretty quickly with your other kids?

AF is starting this evening and will be in full swing by morning...on to month #6 of TTC. I honestly can't believe I will be TTC for at least 6 months...if you had told me this before I started I would not have believed you!! I was a OHW 10 times!!

Bec I am going 200mg....thats similar to 100mg clomid.

Lets see if O comes on time this cycle and I end up with a better attempt than O-5 and O day. I have a feeling I will be back here in November....still TTC!

babyblessings
June 10th, 2012, 08:47 AM
yes! Our first daughter was second attempt and our second was in our 3rd month of trying- I am assuming that it was because I was trying to get the timimg right and probably missed O!

You know - I know of 3 people that have recently found out that they are having boys and all 3 were complete mistakes or just going for it! So it seems one could be successful even having cut out some sway factors

Bec - (apologies for TMI) but have been DTD every 2 days since AF - last one was today, and will now wait 3 days, and then DTD once a day for 3 days, maybe 4, depend which day O happens, but according to my charts, should be 3. what do you think?

ok - so I had some time on my hands ths afternoon and OH DEAR.. not sure what the general feeling is on biorythms and moon phases, some seem quite convinces on the former, but it would appear that I am in a girl sign, a waning moon (girl!), AND my biorythms are girl friendly for the dates I am due to ovulate... For some strange reason this has be just a little worried!

Pop, sorry about AF hun :( Sounds like you are having a second wind though and next time will be the one, just in time for you to be able to stay at work for the move.

BB i dont even look at the moon and stuff like that anymore, i think from memory i was in a boy month in December and April and the rest of the year is girl for me (chineese chart) i think. The most important thing is diet, eat lots of nutrient rich foods often, try to get carbs and protien at every meal. There is not much stock in timing either, i have pretty much tried every timing method there is, but what you said you are going to do sounds perfect.

baby blessings,

I am not a TTC boy swayer, I am a girl swayer, but I love the TTC boy swayers so I lurk and post in this thread when the mood fancies me :)

As a woman who did have two boys without swaying or trying, I really gotta say I would AVOID the egg white or baking soda douche..>I would totally go natural or pre-seed is an EXCELLENT choice for TTC'ing a boy. My bio rhythms always show me in boy mode but I did manage to concieve this girl somehow with those biorhythms. I put no stock in biorthyms and think they are completely hokey.

I think the meat is a great idea..your sway sounds so good, just think the EW or BSD will make it really hard to concieve, so besides that, I think you're good...are you drinking any V-8? V-8 is great for a boy sway imo because of health + salt in it. Also, when I made my boys I was really into "healthy" fats, like olives, olive oil, salads with full fat tasty dressings...I also ate tons of really good dark chocolate before making DS2...I think chocolate is OK, as long as it's the nice, full and rich DARK chocolate :) good luck and feel free to PM me or post any questions for this boy maker, lol.

Cuz I am sure without this site and Atomic's help, I would def. be having boy 3 right now....i have no doubt!

Hey everyone, had a long weekend and stayed offline.

BabyBlessings, welcome back! ITA with everyone's advice, don't worry about the moon and screw the ew and bsf. We've had lots of luck on this site without those factors, and they don't seem to help anyway. Preseed is the way to go if you need some ewcm help. This is incidently my 22nd cycle, so I am used to bfns, but thanks for the sympathy! My husband has crap sperm, so we are probably going to have to do IVF if we ever want a baby (my girls are from prev marriage). But it's cool, I'm used to it by now, I just hang out with the blue swayers because I love them too and I swayed for so long that I'd like to think I know something about it and can help out. Hope you get lucky soon!

POP, I like your idea of getting a swaying plan. I hate to see you wait, but I totally get it....I'd have to rearrange a ton of my life if I got pregnant and had a baby at an odd time for my job.

Oh, and whoever mentioned the every other day bd, just know (and I think I've said this a bunch of times) that it's the BEST for not only getting pregnant but increasing sperm count and sperm health. From our reproductive urologist's mouth to God's ears.

Bec, how are you feeling????

Annnnd, I also got some V-8 juice! Have been hunting for it for some time, and a store that said they would order it in for me rang this morning to say that it's arrived! SUCH a good day! Only, its a great pity that its the day before we plan to BD - I guess I will drink all that I can between now and then

Auroara78 - thank you! so helpful - I have been having the occassional piece of good dark chocolate to satisfy my sweet tooth but had no idea it was a good thing LOL!
Will definitely use the pre-seed so Lola - thank you as well  So sorry to hear of your struggles, but I so pray that you get your BFP some day soon
Glad you hang out here!
Bec - on the edge of my seat

And now for the big question - I got quite a bit of ferning on my fertile focus Ovulation microscope this morning (the 12th) at 7am & a second line on my OPK at 11 am. It was nearly the same colour as the test line & box says O will happen24-48 hours once they are the SAME colour.
Was expecting to O on 15th, so first attemp was planned for tomorrow (13th) night, 2nd attempt night of 14th and 3rd and final attempt on night 15th.
Going to test again at 6pm to see what line/fern pattern is doing, but should I start tonight? not ideal as it will mean a 2 day cut off?

June 12th, 2012, 04:42 PM
Skrimpy, I am looking forward to wearing the splint thing, I keep feeling like my guts are falling out now knowing about it! I got a white one so hopefully it won't show much. I don't wear tight clothes, but is it pretty easy to see underneath your clothes? And yes, you are so right, all pregnant women should be told about it. My DH said that he felt if most pregnant women get it, that our obs should know more about it and tell us, which I agree with. I know mine opened up again when I gained the swaying weight.....I am SO excited to know about this and start doing it!

Mine is white too Lola. It doesn't show under any of my clothes. When I first started wearing it I had some trouble b/c I still had some extra weight on my belly and I'd get a little "muffin top" effect at the top of the splint. It was rough from a body image perspective, kwim? But it didn't take too long for my tummy to trim way down - I even had to order a smaller splint :D I can still wear the smaller size now but I can def tell that my belly wants to open that diastasis back up again.

I hurt SOOOOO bad after Honor was born at where the diastasis was biggest and my midwife actually told me then that it was there - she felt it with her fingers and showed me where it was widest and why I was in pain. I found Julie Tupler's info after that. I think most midwives/obstetricians know that the separation happens but don't realize it can usually be healed *without* surgery... so they don't tell moms about it.

I have a love/hate relationship with the splint. I like it because even though it's not a tummy trimmer, it trims up the tummy while "in progress." I also remember to do the Tuplers MUCH better when I'm wearing it. It takes getting used to, and I have to readjust mine in the bathroom a couple of times a day, but that's not too much of an issue.

If you stick with it I think you will be pleased with the results you see!

skrimpy
June 12th, 2012, 04:48 PM
Skrimpy, have you completely closed your gap? I'm only in my fourth week at the moment. Do you just continue to do the tupplers and elevators all the time now?

Bec I had all of the gap at the top and middle (over my belly button) totally closed but still about a finger-width at the bottom, which was frustrating but I was working on it. I think with so many babies that section of the muscle just really needs a lot of work to get toned and healed.

Now I've already got a bit of a gap opening up at my belly button again :( I've been lifting a lot of boxes without wearing my splint and I really regret that now b/c I think that's why. I've been religious with my splint the past few days and I'm back to doing the Tuplers every time I think about it throughout the day!! I know there are ladies who manage to get it closed even in late pregnancy, so I'm going to keep working to at least minimize the damage from this pregnancy.

I really think those weak muscles are responsible for a lot of the pain I have in pregnancy and I'm keen to avoid that this time around.

I went from a huge gap (at least 4 finger-widths when my midwife checked it) to almost closed, so I'm a believer. Just need to be dedicated to it!!

Hobber, hope your results turn out fine and there is nothing to worry about. I think i had a little sugar in my urine too when i did that test, but it was in a normal kind of range.

Babyblessings do you live in Australia? I haven't been able to find preseed anywhere either, i orderd mine from America and have almost run out now, i really should have got more by now :( As for your O day, its a hard one because you can O the day of the + or the day after or 2 days after, i used to use the microscope too but i found it very frustrating because the ferning wouldnt match up with the opk. I think you get the ferning first which lets you know O is happening or is just about to happen, but if you havent been very strict with not eating or drinking anything for at least 30mins before testing it can give you false readings. But it does sound like you will O very soon, so i would get those attempts in asap.

Bec - I am so confused.. I did another test yesterday evening and again this morning and neither time had any ferning at all. And the second line was no different that before - slightly lighter than control line which I am now looking at as a negative. I am assuming that the ferning was something I ate. Definitely going to DTD today, tomorrow and Friday as originally planned and just hope for the best!
Not long to go before you can test. Hang in there!

Can't believe that today is here!! SOOOOOO nervous!
Cinss - definitely DON'T forget to DTD! I have a feeling this is YOUR lucky month :agree:

I am sorry to ask, but what are these tests a couple of you are going for ? I hope nothing serious?
PoP - hope the headaches are subsiding?
TTC5 - can only imagine how surreal it must feel. so happy for you! :highfive:

The test I did yesterday (if that's what you're asking about) is the Gestational Diabetes test.

TTC5, you might change your mind and want another boy once your little guy gets here. What's one more? Anyway, you are super lucky to be having a boy. Glad you are finally getting used to the idea that he is actually on his way!!

I just got the package yesterday and attempted to put it on at work, and realized that it was not comfortable on my skin alone, so I am kinda dreading the summer heat with a bottom layer, the splint, and then a regular top over it. I watched some youtube videos on how to put it on and one lady recommended the belly band, which I have, so I may see if that will suffice for the bottom layer. I noticed a muffin on the top and bottom, and am hoping that does go away sooner than later, but you are right, I think I will be more cognizant of doing the exercised and holding myself in properly. I am hoping it makes a difference! I have had the look-pregnant belly for a good year after both babies and again now with the swaying weight gain, and the only thing that made it better was a hard core year of working out daily. Are you going to wear it during this pregnancy? Looks like it would be very supportive with a bump!

That's good to hear. I hope it was just my junk food binge that did it! I think I will hear back tomorrow about the results. FX it is a false alarm!

I remember having that with DD1 because I had a serious problem with brownies topped with vanilla ice cream. FX it is a false alarm indeed!

Good luck tomorrow 5. What's one more kid when you already have 5 lol

Headaches much better now but I do feel a bit moody and slightly more aggressive.

I have a job interview on Monday for a promotion in my workplace. I am so torn. It's more money and more room for advancing further in my career. But it means more responsibility, checking emails and taking calls during family time and possibly having to work longer hours on days when I can't get staff to cover shifts. In the long term it's great for me. But my current job I can work 7am -3pm and just walk out and go home, not thinking about work until the next morning. It won't matter so much or look bad if I keep trying and fall pregnant at a time not so convenient for my workplace. The interviews are slightly rigged as our big boss wants me in the role. The hard choice women face....career or family.

Thats definitely a hard decision. I work until 5:30 at night and I hate it by the time I leave work pick up the kids and bring them home get them fed and give baths its time for bed and I only have two right now. But my husband works until 12am 4 days a week so I am a single mother those days, if he had normal hours it wouldn't be so bad.

Are you going to try the SMEP plan this time around? Hopefully the soy helps :fingers:

June 14th, 2012, 10:36 AM
POP, I just want to say you are such an inspiration :)

I love that you have a career and a LOT of kids. I still long in my heart to have 4, and I am a career woman myself, with the sole income in the house (hubby is SAHD) and a lot of ppl think its crazy that I would want a 4th eventually because I "work"....I get so tired of the concept that if you work full time, ppl think you should only have two kids. It's such BS!

About the promotion, that's a toughie....more money is good, but more responsbility, as far as checking things when you're "off-duty" definitely tricky....the best perk about it is changing into a higher position won't restrict you from TTC'ing your heart out...what is your heart telling you is best?

Congrats Cinss that is excellent!!

I am on my last day of Soy today...hopefully it helps bring my O closer...insane to have to wait 3-4 weeks from AF. I sooooo need to fall pregnant this cycle, but I just feel like it's never going to happen.

Dloui I know how you feel totally....my DH works away so I am a single mother most of the time. He is able to come back for our attempts it is just really hard on both of us that week of attempts. Maybe one day this situation will change back to how it used to be....but I am just so used to it now!! I couldn't cope not working, my brain craves the stimulation, and no matter how exhausting it is and how I just would love to sleep in and drive the girls to school....working really completes me! I think it is giving my girls the right values in life too. Being independent, successful and working hard. Makes it all worthwhile....my 11yr old came to me last week and asked for some photo's. I asked her what of? She said "You mummy"...I was like ???? why? She said "Because I am writing a speech on my favourite inspirational person....and it's you mummy :HH: Makes all the hard work worth the effort!!

Yay Cinss! fx for you! I hope you will be more successful than I was!

Bec - remember all my confusion at the beginning of the week???
I have been kicking myself and feeling sad since then - It's really starting to look as though I did ovulate then - a whole 5 days early!!!!
I have NO idea why, as my cyles have been spot on for at least 4 months?
So, in the end, my big attempt was actually my attempt to GET READY for my attempt :worry:

We ended up DTD at what looks like *36 hours* (eek!) before I O'd! And prior to that, we had DTD every 2 days.
Looking back, its not nearly as much as I was planning/hoping to do, but in my favour were that I stayed lying down for about 15 minutes after, a fair amount of EWCM although not "tons", big O just before and during (really sorry if this is all TMI), been on supps and HE diet (but only for about 4 weeks).

my biggest irritation at myself is that I feel like I ended up swaying pink by not DTD close enough to O and DTD only ONCE!

I am feeling so disappointed

Hello all. I joined the TTC boy monthly forum a few months back and have been doing the boy diet since and increasing my folic acid as I was wanting to TTC back then but then realised I had not topped up enough on folic acid (as needed when I cut of wheat etc) so now I am hope to TTC this month in June.....here's the start of the attempts anyway!

TTC5 congrats on your blue sway - what are the main changes you made between when you conceived your girls and now swayed blue?

Good luck to all trying and hope that June is a lucky month for a few of us, fingers crossed

Any general advice on timing against ovulation tried swaying blue with Shettles method and ended up lovely and pink DD2, last time BD'ed c.12+ hrs before ovulation so may try to get closer to ovulation timing this time but obviously tricky to tell exactly when I ovulate. I normally get Positive Ovulation test evening of day 17 / morning of day 18 but then temperature rise delayed until day 20?

5, great news on your results. What a relief. I PM'd Flava on FB a few days ago, she is doing well. Just having a little break from GD for a while.

babyblessings, I really would not give timing a second thought. So you think you got in two attempts?

Cinss, looks like you're not too far off O. Good luck!

chitchat, welcome back :)

dloui, yay!! Congrats on your baby boy. Did you have an early gender scan? I was planning on waiting until AF was due... things didn't go to plan though...!

Lola, hope you are well.

Soooo, I tested last night and got two lines (I don't dare say those three little letters yet). They are darker today so I know it's not the trigger. The lines are actually quite dark for being 10/11dpo. Anyway, I am happy but not really excited yet. I'll just wait and see if AF stays away first.
