The "don't worry about one little flaw" is my favorite thing about you ladies. You can't sit and wait till every little thing sways boy, you'll get one maybe 2 shots per year and there is still no guarantee you'll get your guy. I'm all for doing your best and hoping it's sticky.

Yea, I'd be hitting menopause when my perfect month would come around with all the stars aligned!
Aqua, were you talking about Maz? I wonder if she's actually having a boy? I think she ended up thinking she was right before we all fled from IG. Dang, I loved that girl, wish she came over here to play. She did a freakin' headstand after she dtd, remember? That is some dedication to swaying!

Hey Hey ladies!
Lola I miss Maz too ... I assume that's who Aqua was referring to b/c I remember exactly the quote "B12 sways HEAVILY for girl" ... that was what Tamara told her, and oh I remember how it messed with her. Last I remember she did pop on and say that the 20wk u/s showed boy, in spite of the earlier ones leaning girl. I do have a friend IRL who was told girl at 16 wks, but boy at 20 ... and he is definitely a boy. I hope she does in fact have a blue bean in there. I've always got a couple extra fingers crossed for our Mamas who already have several girls, KWIM?
Swaynpray, I was getting over a stomach bug when I got pg with DD2 but I was NOT swaying at all ... I really think if you were doing diet, supps, etc. I wouldn't worry about the sickness.

Yeah girls. I was talking about Maz. I thought about her few times. Wish we could see her updates somewhere and touch base with her. It did feel like a roller coaster for her over there. Yeah.. her earlier scans were not clear. Hope the one she got at 20 week was the right one and she got her blue bean.

I bet she is about to have that kid! Wantalittleman is having her little man (scheduled section) on May 2! Holy crap, I would have been due this month if my first attempt worked. It's been THAT long. WOW.
Anyway, on the sickness issue....just DON'T take an antihistimine or anything that dries up your nose, because it will dry up the same boy-friendly mucus in your cooter, too. I think you guys already attempted, so don't get freaked out if you did! Just saying, in case.....

I am so glad I found you girls over here!! The support is amazing!
I had stopped swaying with regards to timing, and such but all the girls due when I was due are delivering and they are having boys so it is making me want to sway again. We have only been doing doggy {sorry if TMI} as I feel like it will help, but then I read lots of sways where they were successful in getting their boy in missionary position...what do you girls think? I am going to do diet changes, timing and lots of praying...I just got AF today and was upset but glad that it is back to normal, as it was a 28 day cycle...maybe all the stress was causing changes in my cycle...who really knows right?
Jen, I am so glad we touched base again!! When is your dreaded due date coming up? Mine is Tuesday and my DH is so sweet and took the day off work and we are going to take the girls somewhere for the day and then do dinner just us...he has been great as I feel like all I do is think about the baby we lost and how we should be having a child right now...I cannot stop the tears lately and feel right back to where I was when it happened.
Lola, quick question...I am just wondering if you ended up using clomid? I am turning 35 the end of this month and really want to be pregnant and was going to ask my OB for it...my DH doesn't want to do fertility stuff but agreed to clomid so thinking we might start it next cycle. I read it sways girls but see that TONS of girls had boys on it...Any advice.
I get the sense that things are more relaxed over here which is great...I truly believe that we get what we get but that swaying a little makes us feel better that we tried! I too needed a break from IG as I was stressing about everything I ate, drank and did! even fans blowing, scents of candles going, it all became a little much...glad to be here!

Princess, I did not do Clomid....it happened naturally, thankfully. My doctor said after 6 months of natural ttc she would put me on it, but I did get pg and had the chemical on month 6. She asked me to take a month off, and we got pg again on month 8. With me naturally getting pg on month 6, she said probably no need because I was ovulating on my own. My dr is not against Clomid, but she does not presribe it unless there is evidence that there is no ovulation. I think she doesn't want people to risk twins if unnecessary. If I were you, I would ttc for a few months without it and see what happens, unless you and your body are fine with gestating mulitples. I am just more of a natural girl....I'd rather not mess too much with mother nature unless absolutely necessary, kwim? And it does indeed dry you up, which sways girl, but you could try to counter that. And true, lots of boys are born on it. Babydes took it for a couple cycles, maybe she can give her opinion. If you are ovulating on your own, I would not use it though.

Oh, and I forgot to say, that I really think cutting all dairy out of my diet messed with my fertility somehow. The IG diet was not good for me. It's only when I added dairy back in that I got bfps, two in a row!

Totally! Thanks for catching it.
Princessap I think for position I would do whatever you feel gets deepest penetration, and that not even so much b/c of "swaying" but just in general getting those spermies closer to the cervix is better for getting pg. I would apologize for TMI but at this point I think we are all well past TMI in our swaying discussions, LOL! And FWIW I think milk is a-ok. I do think there could be something to the ratio of our intake of dairy compared to our intake of potassium/sodium, but I think dairy is totally fine as part of the boy sway and I never cut it out 100%, even when I was following IG. After all milk has some decent potassium levels in it, and honestly was probably my main source of potassium when I got pg with my ladies since my diet was very carb heavy, and last I checked cupcakes have no potassium! Shocking! So I'm including some dairy, around 1-2 servings a day, but I used to easily have 4-5. Just my opinion though.
Jen your attempt should be any day now right?!?! How are those OPK's looking?

We had an oops pregnancy in January and I was kind of happy because the gender decision was taken out of my hands.

B12' makes folice acid works better and I took it with my boy sway back in 2008 and I am taking it right now too no problem.
B6 help to lengthen the luteal phase, but when ttc a boy you can take b6 in the 2ww and it wont sway. HTH.

Your attempt is coming up soon, how exciting! are you still just DTD once? I know you were pretty strict on swaying and timing etc. When we conceived our son who we lost, I wasn't really strict on swaying so just trying to do the same. However, remember I said on IG before that I stopped swaying? well, I am back swaying now. I see everyone having little boys and I just feel I need to try to tip the odds in boy favour. My Dh is away for three days before I am due to O this month, on my birthday (28th)....so the abstinence will be perfect, four days and he doesnt have to know as he is opposed to swaying! I do need to raise my testosterone levels a bit, any suggestions?
The one thing I am hung up on is position...we conceived DD1 with me on top, which is supposed to never work for conceiving! LOL and DD2 was missionary....I have been only doing doggy but am wondering if it is stopping me from conceiving...any thoughts? Are you sticking with doggy? (only with swaying could you ask something about positions...LOL)
Good luck, FX for BFP for you this month!

Thanks Lola...I have been adding milk back into my diet too as I am scared it will be hurting my fertility. Did you do the IG diet then? how much dairy did you have?
What are your thoughts on positions affecting gender...thanks!
Well, I did the IG diet for the first 4 months, all bfn. In fact, I did the entire IG boy sway, complete with egg whites and doing tons of bsf before dtd, the whole shebang. On month 5, I just said the hell with it and started having a glass of wine here and there and eating some cheese and having some cereal with milk. I didn't start going overboard and chugging glasses of milk and eating cartons of yogurt or anything, but I did have some as opposed to the first 4 months where I had zero. Since then, I have almond milk with a high protein cereal in the morning sometimes (I switch out with eggs and toast, and always had a banana in the morning also). Now that I'm pg, I have a yogurt or some cottage cheese everyday. But when swaying, I would have cheese whenever, almond milk, and whole milk- I didn't drink glasses of it, but had it in cereal pretty much every day.
As far as positions go, I would definitely do doggy style for the actual bd, or at least get in that position when DH was ready to O. We did that both times we bd for this baby. It's totally not my favorite thing, but DH sure likes it (I think all men do, they feel so primitive caveman or something). But, that being said, if you just can't deal with that, I think any position with true deep penetration is good....Atomic had a good post on that. I would just NOT get up at all for 30 minutes, so go pee right before you dtd! When we dtd, I had DH slip a big pillow under my butt and I just swiveled around. To be honest, I went in the bathroom and peed, put some preseed up there, and had a big O by myself first.

I took and RJ/BP capsule (some natural health food store kind, but I think any will do, as long as it is pure and all)....I really think those two are an important part of a boy sway. I also had a green drink....two different ones, one is a green powder mixture with wheatgrass in it, and the other was Chloroxygen, which is a tincture that you mix with a bit of water, which beefs up your blood, among other things. And yes, I pooped green all the time.

Thanks Lola...we conceived our loss which was a boy doing doggy so that is why I am stuck on that position. I just worry that when I flip around it is all going to fall out {gross I know}. We usually DTD at night but I am thinking of switching to the morning as I hear sperm count is higher in the morning. I don't normally get up for at least an hour if not longer and always pee before we DTD. Totally personal question here...how long does your DH stay in you afterwards? I always worry mine doesn't stay in long enough, or am I just worrying about nothing! I must admit it was easier when I had decided not to sway anymore. now that i am swaying again I am stressing about everything...really trying not to though!

My FabulusChildren, I took the first one. Its really is yummy. I think it has the right composition or something. That was recommended by RingosDrum over at the other place.
Princeasap, I don't thonk the longer amount of time DH stays in you after DTD matters a lot. Because after he shoots, its all in there and he can withdraw anytime. Mine was in there for a min or so after he did and then he took himself out. lol feels totally wierd explaining it, but Hey!

Ladies, I am hoping Atomic pops on here and gives a better answer, but from what I remember, B6 increases your hormones in a girl-friendly way....I think it increases your estrogen, which in turn increases your progesterone, which is why it lengthens LPs. I personally would not take it, but I did take a B12+folic 800mg combo pill when swaying. Now, she might say that B6 is not that big of a deal for a boy sway, so don't anyone freak out! I just remember that from IG rules. I take progesterone supplements (up the vag kind) AFTER we dtd, to avoid that and still keep my LP long and strong.

Good morning ladies! Happy Friday :-)
Sorry for getting everyone all worked up over the b6/b12 thing! I wasn't meaning to stir anything up; that was just what T said over on IG and I'm pretty sure she'd say the same thing now, so it all depends on which sway philosophy you're going to go with. Personally my NYF are loaded with B vitamins. I'm not concerned.

I just tell DH to stay in until he is "done" emitting his swimmers, so for a minute or so. Atomic posted about the sperm count in the morning thing....it is so nominal, that is doesn't really matter. I can't remember the exact figure, but like 10 million at night and 11 million in the morning, and really, that doesn't make much of a difference when you are talking millions. Since it is hard for us to dtd in the morning with kids and all, we just went for it at night. I wouldn't be too concerned about that. I would DEFINITELY do doggy style again if that one got your other son. And try not to stress.....take some time when you can and read through all of Atomic's sticky posts in TTC Boy section.....it will put your mind at ease. This site is not like IG with all these "rules" like if you do this or that, you will NEVER get your boy, kwim?

This brings up a Q I keep getting confused on. So I know our goal with TTC boy is to increase testosterone levels. Are we aiming for low estrogen and low progesterone in conjunction with that?

I *think* you are supposed to take it for a while after you attempt and ease off of it.....I would search around for a post about that, or maybe post and ask Atomic. But, I would not take it, so may as well just stay off of it now. Don't worry, though, I don't think it will affect your sway that much.

Hi and welcome....sorry to hear about your m/c....a lot of us have been there, it never is easy. Hope you are doing ok! The diet does suck, but be hardcore about it because it is the #1 sway factor that people believe in making the difference. I think part of why I'm doing well is I had so many unknowns. I don't know what went wrong and don't know the baby's gender as my uterus was already empty by the time I got to the hospital. The only thing I know for sure is based on blood work I was completely healthy. There was something wrong with my baby and that makes it much easier for me to just chalk it up to "sh*t happens" and move on. I don't envy the information you have
I have given up on the one time bd but we still aim for O day. I've relaxed a ton about the sway, I may fail but I won't be as miserable while trying. We aren't doing doggy, more of a missionary modified to be deeper. I'm a big fan of the gelatin to raise testosterone, works great for me

Hey Princessap, I am exactly just like you I conceived my DS doing doggy and I won't change that I am stuck on that position too. I know what you mean when you flip around all the sample fall out, but my DH remind me that we should do doggy on the bed and then I just turn the other way around to prop my hips. I put my feet up on my headboard and put a pillow under my butt. It won't fall out, this is exactly what I did with my DS. In the morning would be good. I put my feet up on my headboard and put a pillow under my butt. It won't fall out, this is exactly what I did with my DS. In the morning would be good. The cycle I got pregnant I did switch from night to morning.
You can also just lay on your stomach afterwards!!!

Welcome sdmommy!
Thanks for all the RJ tips. I'll definitely add it in when I get about 3 months out from actually TTC. Lola thanks for the green drink tip too!
Don't be sorry! I'd much rather know these things ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome :) I have been on the diet for about 7 weeks now so I'm hoping I can attempt this cycle. I got some instead cups to check my CM because I couldn't figure out how to get it without "contaminating" it with the stuff from my vajay! I'm just scared it'll get stuck lol
Anyways I've been having patches of EWCM mid cycle is this normal? I've been taking epo for the last 3 weeks or so. I thought it may be from that?

I have the same milk that almond stuff, it is great hey!

Yes I let my guard down sometimes too:) I think the key is not to binge on sugary or empty calorie things as this will send your blood sugar on a roller coaster swaying pink temporarily. But a piece of cake or the odd chcolate biscuit would be no harm especially on the TW approach.

I haven't been on since my mother in law is in town and we have been busy. Waiting on AF to arrive to start ttc. ELP and 3PNB, FX you see those +OPK soon! .Thanks for the well wishes Begonia:kiss: I read you post over on the other new swaying site about the cut off timing thing and I'll leave my reply over here if thats ok:happy: (I'm still eightlilpigs overthere) For my last 3 pregnancies, all girls, I have bd'ed the evening or morning after +opk, plus poor diet, it could well have been just down to the diet:think:. Recently I've paid a little more attention to my body around ov and noticed that by the evening of +opk my cm is already creamy and cervix is already back to hard! So for me, the day of +opk is girl territory. When trying to conceive in the past I just used to go with the bd on day 14 of cycle, which I now know that with a 31 day cycle was a 4/5 day cut off. Out of my 1st 5, 3 were boys and the 2 girls were the ov after m/c and the 1st month of bcp, so I wonder did this strongly influence the girls for me???
This time I am definately avoiding +opk day, even preferring to take a long shot at 5/6 day cut off, but!, I would be delighted with a night bd before +opk if I can get it right:agree:
Sorry if this is long or makes no sense lol:oops:

Hi ladies!
ELP thanks for the reply on that, I had forgotten all about it, LOL! What I think is interesting though is that I wonder the same re: my 2 girls and my BCP's. One I got pg while taking BCP's, and the other I got pg the 1st cycle off of them. So I am happy that this time TTC I will have ZERO potential horomonal effect from them since I haven't taken any in years!
So fun to have some gals in the 2WW and some gearing up to attempt! Jen, glad to hear you aren't stressing that elusive +OPK. It will come and hopefully it will be super strong!
ZB, FX that DTD Friday night did the trick for you!
With re: to cheats I definitely have some. I drink probably 2x a week, I eat a sweet probably 2x a week as well. Since I'm still so many months out I'm not concerned; I do think when I'm 60 days out I will likely tighten up my diet.
I kind of wish DH and I had TTC last fall. I cared less then. Lately I've had more friends have boys and all it does is make me want one all the more. DH doesn't want to find out gender this time but heck, if I could have a psychic ultrasound that would tell me what this yet-to-be conceived baby will be, I'd pay $1000 for it, LOL! And even if my imaginary psychic ultrasound showed it was girl I'd still go through with TTC b/c I want 3 kids, but at least then I'd know not to get my hopes up! I know I'm going to end up totally obsessed with the nub since I will honor his request to be surprised. I'm going to have to try really, really hard not to go get a private u/s and just not tell him!

Zivic, I forgot to comment on your DH rant! I know how annoying that is.....my DH, bless him, is 38, which is by no means old, but I think he is one of those guys whose sex drive is naturally pretty low. I mean, when we first were dating and had sex, it was higher, but that is the fun stage, right! But, he NEVER initiates it, and when he does, it's because I've been making snide comments about it and he's trying to make up for his lack of interest. I fear sometimes it's because I've gained weight on this boy diet, and as you all know, he is a ballet dancer, so his job consists of manhandling skinny ass ballerinas all day. :worry: So, of course, I'm a hefer compared to them normally, at my normal size 4-6!!! He assures me that it's not that and I'm beautiful, blah blah, and that he just has a way lower sex drive than me. Oh well. There's my low sex drive rant. And I know how it is to have to ttc on command with opks to make a baby with this kind of guy!!!! But BIG FX that you caught your egg with perfect timing on Friday!!!!! Oh, and FWIW, I had my DH take 75mg of DHEA and it did nothing for his sex drive...although he said he had more energy, etc.

I TOTALLY KWYM! I am actually having the weirdest thoughts now....I DO NOT want to know what this baby is. I am afraid of being upset, so I am trying to avoid that. I wish my DH were down with not finding out, because I would love to delay the possibility of having GD. It is just so hard when you are having your last baby and its your last chance for a boy. And I just don't know how I'll react to hearing it's another girl....I may be fine, or I may slump into a HUGE funk and react very strangely. But DH and the girls want to find out, so we probably will, and I will just have to deal with my feelings silently, and on this site, as I surely don't want to A) make my daughters think there is anything bad about having girls, and B) make DH have a bad experience with the pregnancy and birth of his only bio child. UGH. But, here's to hoping it's a boy and I won't have to worry about that! I wish an imaginary psychic could have told me the same thing, Begonia, that way I could feel so much more prepared.

Oh Lola it is just the toughest thing, isn't it? I think it is so sweet for you to let DH have his preference and find out gender since it is his only chance to experience this whole pregnancy/baby thing, but man ... the toll it could possibly take on you is tough. But on the upside, if it is a boy, how great will you feel!?!?! You'll love the rest of your pregnancy! Which is why right now I think I am going to need to know ASAP, because if it is a boy I want to enjoy knowing that.... but I wouldn't be surprised if once I'm actually pregnant I end up more in your camp, where I'd rather not know.
All that said I really, really think you've got a boy there though :-) FX FX FX!!!!

This is exactly why I want a suprise this time too, as it is our last shot!

There are many times I wished I had not found out with this baby... the GD was so bad and so painful I felt it would be better not to have known. Now I'm doing better but feel I haven't bonded with this baby as well - it has been more mechanical "getting ready." I do think I'm feeling more excited and trust I will love holding my LO, but it's hard.
DH says he wants to find out with the next one, no question about it. He's fine with finding out and not telling me... but I don't know that I could handle that, heh. I sort of wish he would be happy not knowing. But then I don't know if I'd have been any better going through pregnancy with no idea... maybe instead of having a hard period and then starting to feel better, I'd just have fear and apprehension. I just don't know. We will probably find out again when (Lord willing) we conceive again. It's a hard choice when you know GD may be a factor.

Hey everyone i thought id post this instead of posting a new thread..
i need advice as im going insane thinking about it and trying to figure it out
i Oed on cd15 due to the +opk that i took on CD14 and i got O pain on cd15 from 9.30 am til about 4-5pm but my my ff chart says i also o'ed on cd15 due to the +opk test but my temp on cd15 and cd16 stayed the same when it should have gone up meaning i could have o'ed on cd16 and not on cd15 meaning my sway is up S*** creek this month
My temps are still pretty low no where near as high as last month and basically the same as pre-Ouvlation
oh i just want to cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am having a few cramps here and there and my nipples are abit sore with stabbing pain but its most likely AF symptoms
Can someone please have a look at my FF and tell me what they think?? i dont have cross hair on their either which is strange being 4DPO

Chunksta, are you sure your opk was definitely +? Just asking, because I got one a week before I actually Oed that looked *pretty* + but then a week later I got a true + one. Your temps would definitely go up afterwards. Hmmmm....I don't know, I would say you either did O when you think you did (listening to your body's cues are the best way to know!) or your body tried and got close but didn't release and egg and will soon. Sorry this is confusing, I know how frustrating it is!

Skrimpy and begonia, I agree.....it's hard just not knowing which is the path of least heartache. I also think it would be fun to not find out the gender and have a surprise at birth, especially since this is my last and I've never done that.

April 19th, 2011, 03:06 PM
Oh Lola huni you sure can make me laugh! Esp the part with skinny a$$ ballerinas
It's a relief I'm not alone...Yes, we too did have fun during early stage, and before actively TTC I haven't even noticed how very occasionally we were having sex...not that it was bothering me at all , but now it's a big deal.
It's so lame you guys are living across the ocean, I would love to invite you to a cup of coffee while our BOYS are playing

Skrimpy and begonia, Its hard to think which path to take. IN my case I did not want to find out as far along as possible. DH did not think its a big deal we should or not. He thought it would be fun to find out since we did not find out with our first and it was exciting in the delivery, mostly for my DH :). This time, I thought they'd tell me only like around 20 weeks, so thats half way. So first half you are enjoying the pregnancy (with bouts of gender obsessions) and the second half you are either relieved or trying to come to terms. So I thought that was the best option for me.
Since this is our last we wanted to experiance everything inluding finding out before hand. I went to the scan completely unaware that there could even be a possiblity that they would guess. I really wished after I blurted out so causually, "sure" that I could have taken it back. It was best for me to find midway. But till then your mind could be be completly occupied on analyzing every symtom, even OWT and every crazy calender thats our there.
I did that for the first 2-3 weeks and then.. just re analyzed things and stopped obsessing cold turkey. It did prop up now and then though.
If you are tempted to sneak out and get that private scan you could totally blurt it out to DH at some point.

BBT should be more reliable then OPK if you are doing it right ( that's why I'm not even trying....) I'd say by chart you've Oed on CD 16, but Lola is probably right: maybe this cycle your body got very close to O but didn't release the egg.

Chunksta... I am not sure you O'd? I know you got the +OPK, but you do not have a clear coverline or a strong thermal shift. I am curious to see what your temps will do over the next few days. Did you have anything stressful happen around the +OPK? That could delay an ovulation possibly.
If I were just glancing at this chart I would say it's anovulatory - but that +OPK is interesting in there...

I remember from our old thread at IG that there was a poster (I want to say Medic? I think it was Medic (any updates from her?)
And Yup! A +ve OPK does not mean that ovulation is guranteed. A thermal shift is a tru indicator. That being said. I did get smiley OPKs on one cycle and had a similar temp shift and FF did put my O on some Day. Check out this chart, it might give you an idea. I did think I Ovulated that cycle, but since its not a BFP cycle you'll never know.
Chakutsa, for your reference, I have made it the second chart in my homepage here:
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/319451
Yeah, the OPK books tell that after you get a +ve OPK, just monitor other things to know when you actually ovulated. I could never read my CP properly. So I took 2 OPKs a day until it turned -ve to pinpoint ovulation. Some ladies are pretty good at going by cm and cp after a +ve OPK. The chart will also give you an idea why I took everyday OPKs, I used to get 2 days of +ve OPK and sometimes only 1. So I needed to see it go -ve to pinpoint the day atleast. Hope it helps

So does a neg OPK mean O has already occured? I thought I read on IG that it just meant the surge had passed, but you could actually still release the egg after a -OPK. If neg does mean O has occured that would definitely help pinpoint things! I can pretty much tell my O day from my CP though. CM throws me off since my EWCM comes prior to my O, but I can definitely tell a difference in my cervix on my O day.

Nope, you are right. And I read that in IG too. -ve OPK does not mean that O has already occured. The LH surge goes down just before you ovulate. Taking it twice a day helped me to know if it was in the morning or night. I def could not get the hr..lol.
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/319451
If you see the first chart which is the BFP one, we DTD in the PM, on CD 15. I did that after OPK went -ve. I did take a chance there on the fear on hitting O+12. But OPK was +ve in the morning, so I knew BD at night put me very close to O. CM was actually teh higest on +ve OPK Day 1 and not as much as that on +ve OPK Day 2. See it was tough for me to get it with cm and cp.

Aaaaah, that definitely helps me Aqua. Thanks for sharing.
I'm ticked. I just tested my CM (I use pHion strips, not digital so here's hoping they are wrong) and I'm still quite acidic. It's frustrating b/c the diet definitely changed my urine pH, which used to be super acidic, into optimal/alkaline depending on the day. So I KNOW there is an impact in my body based on the huge dietary changes. But it sure isn't showing up in my CM.
Booo. I should O on Friday so I'll test it then and see if I get an increase. When I do BSF it shoots to 9 no problem but I really feel like what matters more is your natural state. Super frustrated. *Sigh* I will try to make myself feel better knowing that some women (Atomic I know you were one with DS 4) can have a low pH and still get boys.

Ladies, I have question about L-arginine. How much should I take? The bottle says to take 2 pills, 3 times per day. I think that's too much. and it's 500mg
I would take 2 and give DH 3 /day on the TTC month and before that just 1. If the bottle says 6/day then 2 is not much I think.

Mmsgirlie22 - woohoo!! Just be careful, I got pg a few days after I got my paraguard out, my midwife joked I got knocked up in the car on the way home lol
Flava - I hate bsf, turns ewcm watery which makes dtd a bit dry which leaves me a bit sore afterwards.
Well folks I'm officially in the 2ww!! Dh was feeling much better last night and insisted we dtd. I told him we could skip but he didn't want to let that nice egg go to waste lol. It is so great having him so on board, he's really excited about having another baby I even caught him oogling a baby in a store the other day. I'm not to hopeful about this month. I've got myself geared up that this will take several more months based on my midwife appt which takes a lot of the pressure off wanting that bfp before my edd. Anyway fx for all of us in the 2ww!

Hi, I am so sorry. I have a long cycle too and it's so hard to ttc with long one. Usually my cycles are 35 days, but the supplements really missed with my cycle big time so I dropped the ones that play with it.
I also had a m/c and according to FF and my temps I did ovulate on CD 27, but I had very little CM and it was just creamy, weird cycle after the m/c. I usually get a positve OPK for 3 days , but I got only one. Hang in there I hope it happens soon. GL.

Which supplements did you find to mess with your cycle? I tried to steer clear of the ones listed as lengthening cycle on IG but I did add EPO about 2 weeks ago to try to increase CM. I researched it and it seems to only lengthen LP so I thought it would be ok. I just wish my OPKs had a faint second line or SOMETHING! The only other thing I can think of may be the diet is messing up my cycle?!

EPO can definitely change cycle length and since it has an estrogenic effect on the body. I didn't take it. You can try Mucinex, it works well for me.
I think TT mess with my cycle and also L-Arginine I dropped both, but I decided to take low dose of L-Arginine again. I don't mind ovulating late, really that's what I want this time.
I remember when I was swaying for DS in 08' I took FertileCM and O'ed a week late because of FertileCM contains L-Arginine.

Hey hey ladies! Been MIA with that sick DD but she's MUCH better today after 3 days on the antibiotics. Thank you all for the well wishes :-)
Jen I am so excited you got that attempt in! What did your midwife say that made you think this might take a while? Does she know you're swaying? I LOL about getting knocked up in the car on the way home! And I remember when you first came back to IG and you and DH were only going to try for a month ... I'm so glad you decided to keep at it, and that DH is so into it too.
TTC5 I think that pH is stellar. No reason not to try getting it higher as it sure wouldn't hurt, but I really don't think it HAS to be a 9 to get a boy. Look at all the failed sways for girls where people had low pH and still got boys. And an 8 isn't even low; that is on the higher side of normal for dh!
Skrimpy I can't believe you're now 35 weeks. FX you hold that baby girl and feel the GD just fade away.
My O was early this month by a day ... I still struggle with getting lots of EWCM! It is certainly more than I had months ago, but still, I don't have what anyone could call lots. I'm thinking about trying fertileCM this month. I've been using EPO and like I said it has helped, but it sure hasn't really gotten me where I think I need to be.
How much protein are you ladies getting each day? Does anyone have a target number? I know Atomic says high but I don't know that I've seen a rec'd amount anywhere.

TTC - I think that your DH's ph is good enough for a nice attempt. I would try and work on it til you are ready, but I think that is high enough for a nice attempt. Aren't you guys going to start in June?
Jen - FX for you to get a blue BFP!!
sdmommy - I agree with the others that it could be a supp. I would be far more inclined to blame a supp than diet unless you are eating a lot of soy. Have you tried adding in some more fat into your diet to build up the EWCM? CLO or fish oil, or maybe some extra butter here and there. I know that adding some extra fats into my diet helped increase my EWCM before we swayed for our 2yo.
mms - I think Monday is probably a good cutoff if you're having it out on Fri

Begonia - Normally after a d&c there is some unevenness well my d&c in Oct was very aggressive. It was literally a stop the bleeding or take the uterus to save my life kind of situation. Because of this my unevenness is more severe, no egg will attach until my uterus is even again and there's really no knowing when that'll happen.
We were going to quit because we thought I'd get a bfp first try just like always and didn't want the kids too far apart. Well the gap is out of our control and we agree we really want another so we go till bfp!
I think my drop in ewcm this month has to do with running out of fish oil, its much cheaper then the others so you may want to give it a try.
MMS - I m/c the baby I conceived right after getting my iud out, etopic pregnancy that luckily ended itself. We were unsure if the recent removal had something to do with it but when I got the next one out after dd#2 we waited one cycle just to be safe.
Thanks for all the crossed fingers ladies, here's hoping!

ELP, they wanted me back this Weds, the 27th, but my DH is out of town all week and REALLY wants to be there with me, so I am waiting for him. I haven't had any bleeding, but I have had some cramps that feel unusual for pregnancy, and my symptoms have started disappearing big time. I'd much rather have a natural m/c, but they told me blighted ovums usually require a d&c because your body thinks you are pg still.

Oh goodness Lola ... I can understand DH really wanting to be there with you. FX it happens naturally for you, though neither way will be easy :-( And I really, really hope you don't lose that desire to keep trying. You (and DH) will cherish this next baby so very much with all you've gone through. (((Hugs)))
LOL to jigglers! And Jen thanks for explaining all of that ... probably gives you some peace as to why it might be taking you longer to get pg this time around. FX this month is it though!!!! OH and I am taking fish oil! And EPO. You know what I realized I haven't been doing though is mucinex; I was waiting til we were actually TTC to try it but I think I will try it this next month and see what it does for me.
Speaking of fish oil I was asking on another thread about spotting pre-AF, b/c I never, ever had it before and now do have 2-3 days of light spotting pre-AF. Atomic said it could be fish oil since it is a blood thinner, but can also be a sign of low progesterone. Have any of you experienced spotting since swaying for boy, or even previously? It worries me!!! My cycles are still very regular, my LP is still 13/14 days, but the spotting is new.
So excited for our girls in the 2WW :-)

Lola my love it usually it happens fast but I'm not sure exactly as this was my only d&c. I'm taking longer to heal because it was an emergency and like all emergency surgery things tend to be more aggressive then if they had time to be careful. Fingers crossed things are going to resolve on their own, big big hug.

Jen thanks for answering about the spotting! If it is still happening when I get ready to TTC this fall I might call my doc and get my progesterone levels checked just to be sure. But since my LP is still a good length I'm keeping my FX it isn't a low-pro issue and is no big deal.

Okay girls quick question....I had a negative OPK today but some EWCM (which I normally don't get)...I am expecting a positive OPK tomorrow...should I wait to DTD until tomorrow...it will be four days abstinence and right when I conceived our loss (timing wise, which was a boy)....opinions please! trying to sway odds for blue but really just want to be pregnant!

princessap do you get only 1 day of + OPK or more? You test 2 times/ day? If only 1 day of +OPK I would do it tomorrow morning. If 2 days I would do it tomorrow night. HTH:luck:
