Feeling a lot better now. My son has a birthday to go to this afternoon and he'd be so upset if he missed it. Let's hope if it is pre labour it doesn't go on for days on end. I've noticed a lot of women have a long pre labour with their 3rd

Yes, hope it is swift if it is pre-labour. Glad you are feeling better.

3 weeks or less left! Holy crap lol. My body and I are sooo ready for her to be here, but my house and family...Well lets just say that is another story. We are going to TRY and get our room ready for her this weekend. Need to put up the bassinet and wash the car seat. Can you tell I am behind. I may even get around to packing her bag for the hospital. lol
Anyone else have a bunch of family planning on being down for the birth or right after? My MIL is going to be down to take care of the kids, my mom is hoping to make it down for the birth. Also my dad and grandma will be here. They all live over 4 hours away, so plan on staying at our house while I am in the hospital. Should be interesting all those people staying in our house with our 4 kids, 1 dog, and 1 cat.... Did I mention my grandma has to bring her dog with also? lol Oh boy...

So last night my DH and I were taking a shower. We get done, he gets out first and turns around to talk to me as I am getting out. He stops everything he is doing and just looks at my belly... I have no idea if something is wrong, so I ask, what? He looks at me and says "your belly has dropped, oh and you are huge" LOL The first part was exciting to hear, he could have left out the second part though!

Ha ha Zem, I think my DH and boys are gong to miss my belly they've all taken to rubbing it lately and my 2yo says the other day sit down in the sun mummy so I can hug up to your belly :)
I thought I might be go into labour last night, more contractions at 2am but I got up had something to eat and a RLT then went back to bed but they went away again.

Bythe****** hope it goes fast for you!
Zem- that's such a funny story. Yesterday I told my DH that I was one centimetre and his eyes got really big and round and he says "It's open?!?" LOL so funny.

We just got back from trick or treating. It was hard for me. I had a few contractions and had to sit. I went to the doc today. I am still where I was before, but her head is a little lower. I was relieved to hear I wasn't more dilated. I need one more weekend!
Although we made it through Halloween, it seems. So I guess now I shouldn't be picky. I am hoping it's like you bythe******, some contractions, but then I will be feeling better tomorrow.
By the way, sorry for the dumb question, but what is RLT?
Zem, I loved your story. I think I am more impressed you and your husband find time to shower together with 4 kids. You 2 are fun!!!
Mommymachine, you are well on your way!

Our kids had a lot of fun last night trick or treating. We just stayed in our little neighborhood, we are in a great area of town. A lot of people come here that don't even live in this area. We were thinking that we saw between 50-80 kids! We left a huge pot of candy out at our place, when we got back all but 8 were gone! Holy crap lol.
LOL finding time for just us is hard, we try to always do something together. We make sure everyone sits down and has supper together. That is something that was important in my family, so thought we would make it something for our kids also. We usually take our shower together, but we do that after the kids have gone to bed at night. We like to have that small time to just relax and talk about the day.
TMI- Last night I lost a lot of my plug! I think it was from all the walking. Still having contractions all the time, but that is normal for me. Just 7 more days and then i wont mind if this baby comes.

Well everything seems to have stopped here today in the labour department. Oh well, hopefully before Friday because that's DHs birthday and he's not keen to share.

November 2nd, 2013, 11:42 AM
Everything has stopped here too, bythe******. I was having so many last weekend and on Halloween. Now, hardly anything except she keeps getting the hiccups. I felt really good yesterday. Made it to the gym and walked around a lot downtown finishing up my errands. I decided to try to make this mobile for her and I need some fabric for some pillows. I went to the fabric district. Now this week I can honker down and get it all done. I am nesting like crazy! I have washed the dog, my car, there is hardly anything left to clean! I did not do any of this with DS.

So we got some things done last night. Managed to pack Rozline's stuff for the hospital, I did add a few things for me, but most of them will have to be last min. stuff. My DH also helped get her bassinet set up, so at least she will now have a place to sleep! lol
Lizzie Lizard
November 4th, 2013, 10:49 AM
We got some stuff done last night too. My husband finished the shelves in the closet I wanted. I went to pick up a swing from my friend and she had a bassinet too! I am totally set there as well. Yay! Baby has a place to sleep too. ha.
No action this weekend. I feel fine.

So had my 37 week visit today, Not much change. I am still sitting at a 1cm and 50%. Rozline is a a -2 station. They took my "sample" for the GB test, so will know the results to that next week, when I go back. Starting my every week visits now. He will also talk to me about dates to pick for my induction at 39 weeks. Exciting getting closer, hope I still go before my induction, but not holding my breath! lol

I still am 1 cm. Doc says if I make it till next thurs we do an ultrasound and discuss my "options". She asked if I wanted to schedule something for next week, but I said I would wait it out.
The most amazing news was I LOST 2 LBS!!! Woo-hoo. I heard about this happening at the end, but it has never happened to me. Huzzah. I was so excited I hugged the nurse that weighed me.

I had my check up this morning too, bub nice and low now :) haven't had any internal checks but the midwife did offer to do a stretch and sweep this morning if I wanted. I declined because today is DHs birthday and he keeps changing his mind about sharing it. I figure if she arrives on her own accord that will be ok but I don't really want to do anything to push it along. I have another appt booked for next Fri so we'll do it then if she hasn't come yet.

November 8th, 2013, 11:13 AM
I haven't got the weight loss thing this last tri...lol I am now up 25 pounds, hopefully not much more. My Dr. isn't allowed to do S&S till 39 weeks, boo, how will that help me much, if I am being induced at 39? lol
Lizzie Lizard
November 8th, 2013, 02:03 PM
I guess the S&S won't help you much, zem. My doc never mentions that... I wonder why. I'll ask at the next appointment.
Happy late birthday to your hubby, bythe******. I wouldn't want to share my birthday. My sales guy at work shares his birthday with his daughter. He says he can barely get a piece of cake as the whole day revolves around her. :)
My sister comes to visit tonight. Yay! So now if I do go into labor we have backup.

November 8th, 2013, 05:27 PM
Well he did get to keep his birthday. More contractions last night and a very uncomfortable nights sleep, my hips are really sore. But I feel good now I'm upright. I'm glad that I didn't have the s&s I've heard if you aren't due it can just be painful and pointless. She'll come when she's ready.

Lizzie Lizard
November 8th, 2013, 09:20 PM
that's fun, byth******. ha. Mine is my ribcage. I suppose its her butt backing into the right side of my ribs. I have taken to pushing her down (gently) it gets so uncomfortable. My stomach looks ridiculous and all lop-sided.
bythestream
November 8th, 2013, 11:59 PM
Mines not to lopsided this time Lizzie but I remember it was worth the boys. I'm just all our the front, it's so funny in a front on picture I don't even look pregnant but from the side that's another story. Might try to get out for a walk this afternoon to encourage her to shift down
zem7
November 9th, 2013, 12:38 AM
I am so lopsided lol. It looks so funny. I need to take my monthly picture (my mom is a HUGE scrapbooker, she puts each month picture in a baby book that she makes). Maybe we should all post new bump pictures, since we are all so close to going!
Lizzie- do you mind if I send you my picture again? I hope to get around to taking it sometime this weekend lol.
Oh on the S&S, I had one or more before I was due with my last 2 pregnancies. Honestly they never did hurt for me, just a little uncomfortable. BUT I think it may have been because I was almost always dilated to at least a 2-3. So maybe that had something to do with it. I consider my self to have an average pain tolerance. Every women is different though.
Have been bouncing on my ball like crazy for the past few days. Seems that is the only time my hips don't hurt as much. I would also say I am almost taking a nightly bath, helps so much.
I feel like I look so huge, maybe I will take a picture this time (not for the book my mom is making lol) with my shirt pulled up. That way you can actually see just how big I am without the cloths blocking the view. Sorry if it kills anyone!! I am shockingly white!!lol
Lizzie Lizard
November 9th, 2013, 01:32 PM
Yes, girls! Let's do another round of pics! Zem, always welcome to send me pics on my gmail. I am not always lopsided, but sometimes. My sister arrived and I was last night and she was surprised to see it! (She doesn't not have kids.)
I was happy to hear you are taking baths, Zem. I have started that too. They are probably a little too hot, but I don't get overheated, don't sit in the long, and it isn't like my stomach is in the water anyway!
zem7
November 11th, 2013, 12:42 AM

So this is taken at 37+3. The front on picture I think is pretty cool. If you guys can see it, looking at the top right of my belly, you can see the outline of her foot!
Please don't mind my scar under my bellybutton, that is from the tubal ligation I had.

Arghh only 2 days to go until due date. I think she'll probably be overdue now. I've had pre labour symptoms on and off for the past 12 days all of which has come to nothing. The waiting game is frustrating.b When is your induction date Zem?
zem7
November 11th, 2013, 09:41 PM
The date isn't set in stone yet, we will talk about it this thurs. BUT it is looking like it might be either thrus or fri of next week.
I have seen other body parts in my other pregnancies, but usually they move so fast that you can't take a picture. She stayed like that for a half hour.... So cute at the time, but soooo painful also lol. After she moved, it still felt like it was there for a few hours, that spot is still sore to the touch now.
Lizzie Lizard
November 12th, 2013, 11:02 AM
Wow. It does hurt that badly? Yikes. Maybe a good thing I haven't seen a bidy part. I suppose if I camp out and look for awhile I would see something.
I was due Thursday, but it was moved to today. I haven't even been having much in the way of pre-labor symptoms. I think mine will be overdue as well. My mom comes thursday. It would make life so much easier if she came them so this is for the best anyway. :) (Now she will probably come before then!)
Lizzie Lizard
November 12th, 2013, 09:08 PM
How did I not think about (until a few hours into today) that my due date is 11-12-13??? What an amazing bday that would have been. Should have been induced. haha Oh well, don't think I will make it by midnight.
zem7
November 13th, 2013, 06:03 PM
Man today has not been a nice day for me. Been so achy, also my downstairs area feels like someone is taking a large gauge needle and stabbing me. I think she may be scratching me or something. My insides just feel raw. Anyone else have this? I hope I don't keep getting this, don't want to have to live with it for another week. I have a dr. visit tomorrow, hope he gives me a date! lol
Lizzie Lizard
November 14th, 2013, 10:54 AM
I am still feeling fine, Zem. Sometimes I get intense BH, but so sorry to hear about your pain. Hang in there. Almost there!! We can see the finish line- non? :)
zem7
November 14th, 2013, 05:10 PM
So had my dr. visit... Not much going on down there. I am now a 1.5 cm dilated and still 50 effaced... So very little change. will see him again next thurs. if there is more change he will set up induction for next fri. if not, will have to wait till I am a little more favorable. So bummed, thought with all of these contractions I would have made at least some progress... NOPE! lol Oh well here is for hoping next week brings better news.
Lizzie Lizard
November 14th, 2013, 07:21 PM
Oh, Zem sorry to hear that. Things could start happening fast, hang in there!
I just got back from my doc and lots of news! Ultrasound showed I was a little low on amniotic fluid. (Although she said her bladder was crazy full and she just needed to pee, but she can't count that as fluid.) Then she examined me and I am 3 cm now... I wanted to wait it out the weekend, but she said that was a little risky. So we induce tomorrow! Yikes! I am a little bummed she isn't coming on her own, but oh well. Better to be safe.
Finally took my pic too for you girls as my last night of pregnancy, I guess!

Had the s&s sitting at about 2cm but very soft. You were right Zem it wasn't too bad at all, only slightly uncomfortable. I've now walked about 10 mins into town to try and get things happening. Yes lunch time here Lizzie so probably not today unless it happens soon.
Lizzie Lizard
November 14th, 2013, 10:55 PM
What is the s&s? Is it the scraping? My doc said if she scraped my membranes I would go into labor and she was putting her gloves back on to do it. Then she remembered I was group B+ and said it was a little dangerous and wouldn't do it.
Keep walking, bythe******. Good luck!!

Still no baby here. Starting to think I might be reaching induction at 40+11. I think I have tried just about everything except castor oil which I don't really want to. At least they should only have to break my waters. I think you'll be before me at this rate Zem. At least I'm still sleeping ok, it certainly makes a difference. Just trying to relax and enjoy my last few days of pregnancy. I was a bit grumpy a few days ago but what can you do and I'm not all that uncomfortable luckily.

November 18th, 2013, 01:56 AM
Hopefully the full moon will work but I'm not holding my breath either. My DH has a few busy days at work so we're kind of hoping she holds out until Thursday night now.
zem7
November 18th, 2013, 11:06 AM
Yeah full moon was no luck for me either lol. We are also hoping that she stays put now till thurs night or fri. morning. Well at least my family is (maybe not me lol). They have a lot going on this week and want her to wait. Sleeping has been a hit or a miss for me. Some nights I am able to sleep just fine, others I toss and turn all night. My hips are so bad, and my pelvis is a killer. When I get pregnant my body just seems to fall apart. My husband was even making fun of me yesterday (well almost every day, to be honest) because of how slow I walk and how HUGE I am... lol Jerk. Told him if I could run, I would kick his butt, he asked me if I could even get my leg up that high.... Little shit. lol He is going to regret being so mean to me, once I get my body back....

November 18th, 2013, 12:16 PM
15302Hi girls!! Sorry for the delay in news! Yes, Josephine is here!
She was born Fri Nov 15th at 4:39 pm. My induction started at about 9 am (I had to get the antibiotic drip first for the group B strep.) Then they gradually started turning up the oxytocin. I had contractions the whole night before and when I got in I was 4-5 cm dilated. So I think she was ready! I got the epidural at about 2:30. 4 pm my doc came and broke my water... then they started getting ready for me to push. 6 pushes and she was here!! Maybe she hasn't woken up yet, but she seems much more mellow than my first. Huzzah!
I can't believe no one else has gone in!! I thought for sure there would be 1 other person besides me. Especially with the full moon last night.
Hang in there girls! Reward is so sweet. :) Hope the end isn't too painful.

Sorry, how could I not post her stats?? I am a little out of it apparently...ha.
She was 7 lb 10 oz and 20 inches long (sorry bythe******, I'll leave you to convert to metric for me. ha) So average size. She doesn't look like any of us and we can't figure out where she got dark hair?! Other than that I think we will keep her. :)
Any action to report with you ladies? Come on!! Someone else!! I can't believe I was next. Bythe******, you don't want her to come till when now? After Thursday?

November 18th, 2013, 06:40 PM
Oh I don't know anymore. DH would have been pretty stressed if she came today but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. I think she had moved into a better position now I can feel a bum and back toward the front so that might help. I also realised last night I slept with a pillow between my knees when I was pregnant with ds2 and I think it helped open everything up for him to come early, so I tried it again last night and was having contractions I think but I stopped because DH really didn't want it to be today. So I'll try that again tonight. It might work for you to Zem. On your left side with your right leg raised is supposed to be a very good way to give birth too.
zem7
November 18th, 2013, 10:03 PM
Well sort of stuck in a hard place right now, my oldest son got sick after supper. So that makes 3 out of the family now to get sick. It is only me and the youngest 2 left. It seems to last about a day and a half. Hope no one else gets sick! Now even though I would love for her to come now, I would be so worried for her to get sick. Also hope I don't get sick, seems to take me longer to get over sicknesses. Joys of fall...
Lizzie- wow that is a good size! Hope Rozline is about that size. Even though I like my small babies, I am hoping that she is bigger. Hopefully closer to 8 pounds. My biggest was 7.5 and my smallest was 6.10.
BTS- I have been sleeping with a pillow just for comfort between my legs, but maybe I should put a bigger pillow, just to open them up more. Today (before Riley got sick) I was doing some silly things. Hoping that it would help move things along. I decided to do about 50 jumping jacks... So far seems like they did a lot of nothing! lol Oh well guess it is for the best for now.
bythestream
November 19th, 2013, 12:18 AM
I haven't tried jumping jacks Zem but I think I've tried just about everything else. I was in your position last week. We all had a cold and I was panicking she would come and get sick but she never came and we're all better now. Hope the same happens for your family.

Hey ladies, just thought I would share a great deal with you! If you go to Carseat Canopy (http://www.carseatcanopy.com) and use the promo code `PTS12` you get the canopy free and just pay shipping. Also, Udder Covers (http://www.uddercovers.com) has a free nursing cover with the promo code `THANKS2013` and Seven (http://www.sevenslings.com) has a free sling with the promo code `carseat` you only pay shipping, all together, if you get them all, you spend about $38, and save about $120. I ordered the canopy for a little over $12, so excited to get it.

November 19th, 2013, 06:47 PM
Thanks Zem, I bought a car seat cover. Cost me $20 postage and currency difference but a little retail therapy is good when you're 6 days overdue. I got a sling a from that place another time they had a deal going. Tried the jumping jacks this morning but only managed 10 also been galloping like a horse and going up the stairs 2 at a time and being a bouncy as possible going back down. Plan to have 4 cups of raspberry leaf tea today too. Oh and sitting backwards on a kitchen chair. Any more suggestions? The only thing I haven't tried is castor oil, which I always said I wouldn't do bit is now becoming a consideration.

November 19th, 2013, 09:27 PM
Well here are some, some I have done this time, others I haven't tried yet. Going to the park or something and swinging on the swings, supposed to help baby move down more. Curb walking. Sex, but I am sure you know that one lol. Squats. Bounce on a birth/exercise ball. Pressure points. Sitting in a warm bath, have heard it is supposed to help soften the cervix. Don't know how true that one is, have been taking nightly baths, hasn't done much for me yet..lol Well other then being soothing. Have also seen people talking about a caster oil belly rub? Supposed to put it on the belly and put a warm wash cloth on it. don't know what it is actually supposed to do...lol Last pregnancy I tried the caster oil... ICK lol. oh man it tasted sooo bad. Did nothing but clear me out, which isn't a bad thing, as I was pretty backed up....Oh I am sure there are many more..lol
I did my 50 jumping jacks again tonight, also bounced on the ball for a while. So far nothing again, but hope it shows that I am making at least some progress as my Dr. visit on thurs. I get you on buying things..lol It will be getting cold here soon, so I wanted to get something to cover the car seat. I just don't like those covers that seem like they will touch the babies face. So figured I would try out these. I have a friend who has one, she likes it at lot. I got the "Lovely" one. it has a black, white, and grey flowery design on the outside and is pink on the inside. What one did you end up getting?

GIRLS!!! I keep logging in, excited to see an update that one of you is in labor, but nothing??!! This is getting unacceptable! (haha. Said the girl that is no longer pregnant.) There is some bumpy road in the LA canyon that is supposed to induce labor. I never tried anything this time as my induction was forced. I do think she would have come on her own that weekend anyway. I thought we were going to go in earlier the night before, but who knows. Curb walking sounds hilarious.
Thanks for the heads-up on the deals. I am interested in those car seat covers.
How long will they let you guys go? Forever??!! haha Just kidding. Zem has her appointment tomorrow. What about you bythe******? Do you have an appointment or a date where they would induce, or is that not an option?

Well I keep telling her it is time to evict the premises now, but she is bad at following orders! lol Yeah I have a visit with Dr. tomorrow. It all depends on if I have made any progress or not. If I have they make induce me this weekend, if not we will take another look early next week... I always hated this last part of pregnancy. Seems to drag on forever. Also my mom is driving me crazy, i can't even call her to ask her a question. Every time I call she assumes I am in labor and tells that to who ever is in the room with her.... She keeps asking when do I think it will happen, well gee mom, I wish she would have come now lol. So my fingers are crossed for good news tomorrow.
TMI- I did pass a BIG ball of plug the other night, so I am hoping that it means I have made a little more progress... lol
I keep having dreams/day dreams that my water breaks. lol I only had that with 1 of my other 4.
Well if nothing if going on with me, I don't think they will let me go past next weekend. So HOPEFULLY soon..lol Sort of sad/upset though. If nothing is going on and she doesn't come this weekend, we will not be able to go home for thanksgiving. So wont see any family or friends till around Christmas. It has been months since I saw any of them, I miss my family. Sucks living so far away from everyone.

I got the belle carseat canopy. I have another appt friday but I don't imagine I would have and induction until Monday unless there are problems. I got DH to attempt another stretch last night and it sounded like Im at about 5 now but he's no professional so who knows. Nausea and diarrhea here this morning and a severe weather warning so who knows but Im not holding my breath.

Hi All! I've been away for quite a while but wanted to update and say that my daughter was born happy and healthy on 11/12/13 and it's now been confirmed that my sway did work after all. She is a dream baby - so placid and peaceful.
I just want to thank the entire gender dreaming community for all the help and support. This has been a long journey and I'm just so grateful that I am now able to move on with my life after GD and enjoy spending time with my family and pursuing new dreams. I feel like if I can make this happen, I wonder what else I can do? ;) Best of luck to all you ladies and enjoy your new additions. Thanks again!

I someone just saw your responses from my post about when they would induce. Bythe******, your husband "checks" you? That's awesome. The night before my appointment I was trying to get my husband to try and he declined. :)
Maybe BTS is in labor!!! She hasn't been on today, has she? What do you think Zem?
zem7
November 22nd, 2013, 12:43 AM
Maybe she is! She was saying that she was thinking she was a 5!
I don't know, don't think she will decide to show on her own... I guess we will see what tomorrow brings.
I had asked my DH to check me once lol, he didn't want anything to do with that. I am having a hard enough time convincing him he should help shave me! lol I can't see that area to save my life!
Also is it common to lose weight towards the end of pregnancy? I can't remember, but I have lost 3 pounds this last week. The Dr. didn't seem concerned about it, but maybe its because we decided to induce anyways.
Lizzie Lizard
November 22nd, 2013, 01:58 AM
I wanted mine to shave me too. He said he would, but never did. I did my best down there the night before. He said it looked "patchy".
Yes, I think it is common to lose weight. Remember I lost 2 lbs and hugged the nurse I was so excited?! ha. You packed for the hospital? I remember every time I called anyone they would get all excited. I would call my mom and if she didn't answer I would text her saying... I am NOT in labor. I did enjoy that when I called my DH he would answer on the first ring and ask if I was ok. I could get used to that. Usually I have trouble reaching him at work. His cell phone is spotty and he is in multiple labs all day, but funny when I was due in a week I managed to get through to him. :)
You don't think she will come on her own? My OB says they don't like it when you give them an eviction date. ha. But, mine did not come on her own.
I am thinking BTS is in labor. If she doesn't surface tomorrow it has to be that. I hope everything is going well, BTS!! Thinking of you! Hope to hear from you soon!

Not to be a naggy nelly but I did want to let you guys know that it's prob. best not to shave right before labor, I understand the temptation but doing so creates lots of little microscopic wounds that are then open to bacteria both from home and then hospital that then baby has to pass by on the way out. And if something goes wroing and you need a C-section, women are told not to shave before a C-section for that very reason, it can make you much more likely to get an infection. That is why doctors no longer do it in the hospital like they did back in the mid- 20th century, it's not safe

No drugs Lizzie. Actually didn't have any with the boys either but their labours were much longer. It's funny my DH ran me upstairs in a wheelchair because I was having trouble walking very fast. He pushed the intercom on the door about 6 times because they were taking their time. We got in and I had about 2 contractions and told the midwife I felt pushy, but for some reason she left the room. I think she was organising paperwork. My DH had raced back down to grab the bags and when he walked back in I had another contraction and started to push. He yelled out "pushing" and about 4 people rushed into the room and I have birth in the next two pushes. No tearing like I had with the boys just a little graze. I only had contractions for 2 hours and only 1 hour of painful contractions.

Bythe******, she is gorgeous. Did you knit that hat for her? It's adorable. What a little peach. Nice work!! I can't believe how you do no drugs. You are amazing. My epidural took 4 tries. The doc had put the "cocktail" in my IV. I told her she could prick my back all day long as it felt so much better than the contractions I was feeling earlier. I love your story. You husband just yelling "pushing". haha. Good job!

So guess what ladies, I am still PREGNANT!!! :omg: Went to be induced yesterday morning, they started the pit. I was having change but VERY slowly. When we started Rozline was sitting at a -2 station, she moved down to a -1 and we thought that we might just be in for a long labor. NOPE she decided she wasn't having any of it, so moved back UP to a -2 station! Can you believe it? We stopped the pit at 5 pm, so I was having labor contraction from 8am to 5 pm. So we decided to stop the induction, because the risk of prolapse was too high if my water broke. I go to the Dr. first thing tomorrow morning. Hope she moved back down, if she did we may try to induce me again tomorrow. If not, we will have to wait till Wed. or Sat... So upset she decided not to come, but if she wasn't ready....
Went walking a lot today and got pretty much all of our Christmas shopping done, so one less thing to worry about after she comes. Hopefully all the walking helps her move back down and be ready for tomorrow, if they will induce me. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she is ready to come tomorrow.

So sorry for the long MIA ladies!! It has been a crazy week. We were released from the hosp on Wed and that day drove 4.5 hours to spend thanksgiving with our family. I would have updated you ladies but its hard to get around this site on my phone and my mom has horrible internet lol. So I am just going to post her birth story that I will also be putting in the birth stories section.
**Rozline Emily
I went in to be induced with Pit on 11.25.13 they started the pit at 3:30 pm. I was getting contractions but nothing major or anything that I was needing pain meds for. I was sitting at 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced and a -2 station when we started. At 7 the Dr. came in and checked me not much had changed I was still at a 3 cm and -2 station but was now a 80 % effaced. So to get things going we broke my water. Things started to pick up right away. I had to start moving around more. Trying different positions to release the pressure of the contractions. Which were getting STRONG! Baby started having some small decells so we were moving me all around trying to find a good positions she would like. I decided close to 10:30 I needed to go to the bathroom. The nurse wanted to check me first though just to know what we were sitting at. I was sitting at a 5 at this point. So I get up and use the bathroom and go back and start trying to find a good position for Rozline. She decided that she liked me on my right side the most, so that is where I ended up. Contractions were getting very hard for me to handle and I was feeling like I was starting to tense up during them. I wanted to do it all with no pain meds but at this point I wusssed out and asked for the epi. The nurse comes in and tells me that I will have to wait because he is in assisting a section. BUT 5-10 min later it didn't matter anymore! I announced that I was pushing. Things got crazy at that point. The nurse hurries and checks me and sure enough I am complete and pushing. I couldn't stop pushing, but she kept telling me to stop pushing. I kept thinking, are you crazy? I don't think I could have stopped even if I wanted to lol. She even starts to try and hold my baby in!! lol I could feel crowning and still no Dr. was around. All the sudden in runs someone and puts on 1 glove and out comes Rozline! lol
Come to find out the Dr. was in a section, so I was delivered by a midwife who just happened to be there that night. My nurse almost delivered, baby was pretty much all the way out before the MW got there.
So I went from 5 cm to baby is here in 30 min! I was induced with pit and got no pain meds. I am so happy that I wasn't able to have them. I finally got my no pain med birth I was wanting. I also got to deliver on my side, which I loved! I have no tearing or even a skid mark.
Rozline and I are doing well. In about 4 weeks I will be going in to get my tubal redone.

Fantastic story Zem Congrats on the no pain meds. I don't know why they wanted for you to wait for the dr. Nurses and midwives are more than capable of delivering babies and to expect you to be able to stop pushing is ridiculous, they must realise it's pretty much involuntary.

What else? Finishing up my christmas shopping. Oh, and I have been working. I know I shouldn't but I do work from home and she is such a good baby. I check my email and only on it for ~1 hour. It's just been easy to do and then I still get paid!! haha.

I sent a few pictures to Lizzie, for you ladies. We did our family Christmas this weekend because we will be traveling and it would be hard to cart all of those things around while bring more from grandparents! lol
BTS- How is everything for you going? Feeling back to normal yet? What is it like in Australia now? You must be having lovely whether! lol We just got about 6 inches of snow last night lol. Its pretty and the kids are loving playing in it, but not so nice to travel in..
Lizzie, did you get any snow in your area? If so I hope you guys stay safe!
Would love to see pictures of all of your babies! They all grow so fast! lol
As for me, I am recovering well (TMI, still having some bleeding though). Hopefully that will pass soon. I hate that part, makes me feel dirty lol. I ave my second tubal set for Jan 13, hope recovery for that goes fast. I want to get back into working out and get my body back lol. Once I recover I plan to start back up on p90x and running. I need to start training for a 10 K that I will be in this summer along with some other events. I am thinking we will be in a bubble, zombie, and color run also. So those should be fun! lol. We are still breast feeding, its going great I think! lol Still haven't given her any bottles, my goal is to keep it up for a year. Formula is so expensive, with 5 kids its hard to afford lol. ZEM! I am so sorry I did not post your pics. I will do so next. I am on facebook and I do check that more often. I will email you the details. I can't believe how long it has been since i have been on here! I kept meaning to go and then the holidays, visitors, Josephine (of course), got in the way!
We had a great christmas. However, we all caught colds. Even poor Josephine. She actually got a fever and we had to take her to the ER. It was awful. I had no idea what we were headed for with that... you girls know when a newborn has a fever they are worried about bacterial meningitis? She was borderline on her temperature so he did not order the spinal tap. Only a blood and urine test. All those were fine so he sent us home. What a terrible experience!
My MIL comes this week. She was supposed to come in early December but she was sick. This is the 3rd time she has done this to us in 1 year. She plans a trip, books tickets, then gets sick and doesn't come. She is supposed to come tomorrow. I guess she will make it this time. :) Lord give me patience!!
I started exercising again. It's just I can't take the baby to the gym daycare yet. So I have been trying to walk lots and ride a stationary bike in the garage. She is such a good baby! My son was nothing like this. She sleeps! She plays in her bouncy seat so I can get stuff done. She is amazing. She is so fun to dress up! I am dying putting her in all the sweet girls clothes. She makes me want to have another but hubby says no!! :) I hope you all are enjoying your little ones too.
Zem, we get snow in the mountains here, but not in LA. I am a 20 minute walk to the beach so we live way to close to get snow. In fact, the day the "arctic vortex" blew in it was 75 F here!
Hope all you and your families are well! xoxo
