Has anybody or was anybody really dizzy their first trimester? I'm 7 weeks and have been dizzy and cold since day 1. That's actually how I knew I was pregnant right away but unlike times before, it hasn't gone away. I'm so dizzy, tired and cold I can barely function! Getting plenty to eat so it can't be low blood sugar or anemia.

from2to3 I am very dizzy this time. I actually do not remember ever being dizzy like this for any of my others. Its pretty much constant still at 11 weeks. To the point of most times when I stand up I need to & grab on to whatever is near me. I had been pretty sick so I figured that was the reason but, lately I have been able to eat more & I'm still having this problem. Hope it goes away for both of us!

From2to3 - I'm also very dizzy.. To the point that I won't even get a shower unless DH is home and can make sure I'm ok. I was freezing as well, that stopped around 10-11 weeks for me. But I'm 13+5 and still dizzy :(

Thankfully I've had very little problem with dizziness so far. The only time I did come over dizzy was when the doorbell went at stupid o'clock in the morning so suddenly jumped from a lying in bed position to a downstairs sprint. Felt dizzy for only a few seconds, but very nauseous for around 5 minutes. Won't be doing that again!

Caught baby at the end of naptime. Such a fidget - I'm not surprised I'm feeling basic movement early. Such a cute nose...

Oh, and the sonographer asked if we wanted to find out which we were having:

IT'S A BOY! And couldn't be happier! DH is over the moon - baby now has an identity. He's not so happy that my gut instinct was right and his wasn't. :p

As for the dizziness replies...I sure hope you girls stop getting dizzy and lightheaded! The second trimester is supposed to be the easiest! Stay safe! Not looking like good news for me that it will stop soon though...darn it! It's weird, I'm not as tired or lethargic as I was with the boys (not yet anyhow) but the past few days when the dizziness was terrible I was so out of it, felt like my head wasn't getting blood that I could barely move off the couch!

Sorry you heard it's a boy, but happy it's a healthy one. How are you coping? I think I better give up hope I'm ever having a baby girl, it's easier this way, I guess it's so hard for me to believe I can actually have a girl I find it easier to believe it's a boy and just deal with it. I know there's still a chance as Intelligender is not 100% accurate, far from it, but it would have given me a little glimmer of hope at least, but now it's gone! Waiting to know but pretty convinced I know the result already.

dreams529
January 6th, 2014, 07:43 PM
I don't think I'm coping. I'm mentally grasping at straws that its wrong. Maternit21 is not 100% accurate either, there are plenty of stories online about it being wrong & my dr told me that they had 2 wrong in their office out of 50ish tests. I have read that boy dna from previous pregnancies can stay in you for decades but I called the company that does the test & they say that's not true. So who knows what to believe there is also the chance for simple human error but again I know I shouldn't get my hopes on that. In one respect at least now I will prepare for boy & if at the ultrasound I find out girl I will be pleasantly surprised. Think that would be better than if I was told girl than found out later that baby is a boy.

Honestly I'm super sad & than mad at myself for being so sad. I really have no right I have a DD & baby is healthy that is most important. I'm not sad I'm having another DS I'm just heartbroken that I won't have another DD. Especially that I can't name her after my Grandma. It just really stings right now....

Aidansmum i'm holding out hope for you that intelligender will be wrong!!!!!

Sorry to hear that dreams. Who's to say how we're supposed to feel, regardless if we already have a DD or not. It's your right to feel the way you do, don't feel bad about your feelings, just give it time, the sting will pass. There's always a chance the test was wrong, BUT, in the end what really matters is that you have a healthy baby in your arms. Really crossing my fingers there was an error and you still have a chance x

No one who does intelligender gets a girl result. Are you still eating the way you ate when you were swaying for a girl? If you drink a ton of cranberry juice before the test , like magic it turns orange! I bought 5 tests!! Yes, I am on crack, but I finally got smart with the test. Nothing about that test is real & everyone gets boy result. Just because u get a girl means that maybe that is how you eat and it really just goes back to how we all swayed and what we ate. 4 of my tests were all boy & then when i drank cranberry juice I then was amazed it was orange!!

I am so sorry dreams it stinks but in the end all that matters is the baby is healthy, and I got a quick lesson that swaying at the end of the day doesn't matter at all & THE ONLY thing that matters is the health of your newborn baby.

January 7th, 2014, 11:25 AM
Thank you everyone. I really didn't think hearing boy would hit me this hard. I am so very grateful I heard healthy boy instead of a girl with possible concerns. Don't know how I would of dealt with that. I know the sting will wear off eventually its not like I didn't know this was possible. I guess I just really thought I had such a good chance to hear pink I started to believe this may be a girl.

My 2cents if anyone has to get maternit21 maybe don't find out gender. I'm thinking this might not have been as bad if I had more time with baby before I found out. 11 weeks for me might just be to early to know I mean I haven't even felt my LO move yet. All I've been is sick & now let down. I've thought about trying again but that's not fair to anyone. My fingers are crossed for all those waiting to hear!

This is so me! I told myself from the beginning, I'm just going to assume its a boy, going to look at boy stuff, boy names, etc.! Well....all I think is girl! I hope this is my body's way of telling me it's a girl, but think it's just my deep desire for one. Symptoms make me nervous. When pregnant with DS2, though people said, it's got to be a girl, I always said I'm not so sure but I think deep down I assumed it was a girl and it never dawned on me I'd get two boys. Obviously I love ds2 more than anything and would never take him back, but the past couple years I've mourned I'd never get a girl because we thought we were done. I never got over it. Now this time I KNOW without a doubt we are done, don't know what I'll do if we don't get a girl and my 4 yr old doesn't get his baby sister he's been talking about for the past year. :(

Thankns snips. I am going for the NT next week, depending on the result I'll get an amnio, otherwise I am waiting for a gender scan at about 18 weeks as the blood work cost a fortune. I am looking forward to the NT just to see a nub and skull and try to guess. I watched my little boys ultrasound again recently and now, after seeing so many U/S pictures I think I can see he was a boy, and I couldn't have back then, so maybe the nub will show me something more concrete than the likes of intelligender, but it was a dark, dark boy result, very disappointing.

Two nights ago I said a prayer and asked to dream of my future baby. I always do that when I want to dream of something or someone and I more than not always do. I dreamed of a little girl with dark hair and dark eyes like mine, she was wearing a little singlet and nappies only because it was warm and my sister was giving her a bottle. Maybe it's a sign or just wishful dreaming. It was a good dream at least and because I asked to dream of it it meant something to me, but of course, can't trust a dream either. :(

I get my u/s tomorrow so I will be sure to put up a nub pic as long as baby cooperates! I'm just preparing myself to hear boy!! I'll only be 14+1 so my sister (the tech) won't even give me a guess! Boo! :(

Been looking in to it & evidently false y's are not at all uncommon. Don't know at all for sure why, some say that DNA from previous sons can be in your system. I also wonder if my thyroid meds which are made from pig thyroids could effect the results(blood thinners made from pigs def can). I'm probably grasping at straws but who know. Wound up talking to the OB coordinator at dr's office again & she said that she would not count on the maternit21 results in regards to gender that really till you see baby you can not know for sure.

So basically I'm totally confused! Going to continue to believe baby is a boy & work on names & the thought of a 4th son. Actually all of my kids would prefer a boy & my youngest would have a playmate oh & I have plenty of clothes for him. Plus my boys really are all the sweetest & overall I think I probably am a better boy mom. Little by little each day I know I will get happier with another DS. Who knows maybe just maybe there still is a small chance that baby is a girl & in a few weeks I will have a giant surprise! Or maybe by the time I see this LO I will be so head over heels in love with him I will celebrate when the tech tells me its a boy!

Hi all,

Newbie here. After a run of boys I am really hoping to finish our family out with another princess. I will be happy either way but I miss all the things that come with having a *little* girl (mine is not so little anymore  ) I had a 12 week scan and this is the best pic I have. I am not even sure if there is a nub in this pic. Hopefully some of you who are well versed at reading these things can take a guess based on this photo. Thanks in advance! :)

dreams, it can't be easy waiting and I would also be looking for any small chance the test might be wrong. I also heard about previous bub boy leaving Y's in mum's for a while. That is very true and I can see how it could find Y's even though one is carrying a girl.

I am glad you are able to see the bright side of having another boy though, I think it's easier to just accept it's a boy and be pleasantly surprised later if it's not than the opposite. Enjoy your little one, boy or girl, it's a little piece of you and how to love them once they're in there? :)

I am not even sure if there is a nub in this pic. Hopefully some of you who are well versed at reading these things can take a guess based on this photo. Thanks in advance! :)

Welcome to the club! I am in no way versed in nubs but looking at it I would go with girl guess. Cute baby, regardless.

I read lots of bad reviews since and I'm holding on to my dream still, even though I am prepared to hear boy as well. I called my boys from my first marriage, they are living in Brazil where the rest of my family is, one is 24 and the other 22, they make me me so proud, and then there's my 3 year old little Aidan who really is the light of my life, they make it easier to accept having another boy, cause they are so amazing and there is nothing I would change about them. Bring it on! :)

Blahhhhhhh, 2 pregnancies, 2 boys, 0 nausea and this surprise baby is giving me a run for my money.....How do people survive with being nauseated? Mine is very very mild but with the rest of the pregnancy issues I have been having all I want to do is stay in bed all day long :(

Savygrl, I'd guess girl too- just a guess- I haven't had practice with nub pictures.

My 12 week scan is tomorrow. I really want to see his/her movements and heartbeat and know that there's just one and that it is growing and nestled in the right place.... Other than gaining weight and having worse acne not a lot feels different in my body yet. I haven't really felt pregnant with a growing being. It's all very theoretical right now, and I hope it will start feeling more real tomorrow! I'm not sure if I want to know the gender yet, so that maybe I can start bonding without interference from knowing the gender.

Thanks for the guess :) I am not sure if that is a nub in the first photo because if you line it up with the other it looks like the bright white spot in the second photo. I think maybe that part of the body didn't show up because she was more trying to get a good profile shot. I'm not sure about the skull theory either. I have been staring at these for about 4 weeks trying to figure them out. I'm clueless :)

Thanks bunny but I doubt it. I will be going to the Dr on Monday to get things started to be flown to London for my 12 week scan. I am living in Africa and since the conditions here are not great I will be flown there to get things checked out and have my scan. I am 36 so I am considered advance maternal age so not sure what all they are going to do.
I have had some bleeding off and on (hence why I thought I had a miscarriage) and the Dr here prescribed progesterone to take and hope it helps with the bleed. This pregnancy is going to make me close shop I swear...No more kids for me lol

Well..... I don't have a nub shot or any clues.. Baby was not holding still for anything!!!! However, my sister was very persistent and tried many, many times to get a potty shot! She said I'm still very early but if she had to guess, she would say GIRL!!!!!!!! She has noooo idea I'm so desperate for a girl so I had to hold back the tears!!! I so hope she's right because for as many times as she said "it's still early, don't go buying anything", I can't help but get my hopes way, WAY up!! I feel like if it's a boy it will be so much harder on me now. Anyway, some not so good news, my cervix is "funneling" and beginning to open and the hemorrhage is actually in my uterus (you can see it in the pics above baby's head).. She's concerned and told me to call my doctor tomorrow and insist on an ultrasound. *sigh* it's always something, isn't it?!

From2to3 - I was ABSOLUTELY starving ALL THE TIME when I was pregnant w/ DD. From before I even knew I was pregnant. I'm talking like 3 helpings of food when I typically wouldn't even finish one plate. I guess I am backwards b/c I was SO SO very sick w/ DS and didn't have the crazy appetite!! Thanks ladies...I guess what makes me nervous is I was also starving with my boys...and very tired...and hair growing fast lol! I just don't remember being as dizzy as I have been but then again that was awhile ago. One of my best friends just had her baby girl after 2 boys, and brother in law got his son after 2 girls, and have a friend pregnant with 3rd after two girls that is looking like it's a boy! I am SO happy for them....but not to sound like an ass but it will sting pretty hard if I end up with 3 boys.....

As for the nub shots and all that - I have NO IDEA lol, so that's why I'm not offering a guess, but it's cute to see the pictures! Not even sure how you get a 'nub shot', when I looked back at my boys' there is legs in the way :)

Yeah, I feel for ya, has to be horrible to be starving and nauseous at the same time! Probably why I haven't gotten MS, I'd be a big baby, I hate upset stomach! Stomach flu is my worst enemy. I'm hoping eating is just how my body handles pregnancy....

Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to the group. I am not too good with nubs and even the ones who get all girl or boy guesses end up with opposites, so unreliable! But, I am guessing you've got a little boy in there, if I what I can see is the nub, I think it's a bit 'up' like little boy's goods. :)

Cute bub Luna! It looks kind of forked from here so I'll say GIRL. I was thinking about doing Panorama test but it's soooo expensive! Specially when I read that if the result comes back positive you still have to do an amnio or CVS. I hate all those tests :/ I have my NT next week. Hate to see the doctor measuring those little black areas that can mean bad news.

It's funny when you get to that point that you want to look pregnant so then people stop thinking you're just getting fat. lol. I show very quick but it's my 5th pregnancy, so it's normal. But I am feeling quite fat and bloated, not fun! DH is planning a holiday to the beach and I told him I'm going to buy a burkini :) If Nigella Lawson can do it, so can I. :)

The last 3 days it seems like my nausea has quieted. I still have it but it comes and goes quickly instead of lingering for 2 or 3 hours like it was happening before. As for appetite, I was starving with my boys, eating huge portions and going back for more. With this one my appetite hasn't picked up yet, I am eating lots of fruit (it could be the heat too, full summer) and juices and feel more like light meals. I'm even refusing bacon for breakfast, that's very unlike me. I hope it's a good sign that my body is behaving different from the boys. Argh! Can't wait to know and end this agony :)

Had my 12 week scan. One baby (good!) and everything looks fine. Heartbeat 170. They didn't offer to guess the sex. I am happy and relieved. I guess we'll find out the sex at the 20 week scan.
Great news Gafan! Very girlie heartbeat too as per OWT. Fingers crossed!

This pregnancy is so much different than my other 2 pregnancies if I didn't know better I would swear I am having a girl lol But since we know symptoms mean absolutely nothing, I am now more convinced than ever that I am having boy# 3!!! In fact I am so sure that I might be a tad upset if it's a girl lol (only for a little bit though)

There was a lady on here that was doing tarrot reading but the thread had closed! I have a friend who I met on IG she also does tarrot reading and had asked her if she would do that for me but she is so busy that I haven't asked her to do it again....I have had so many friends tell me they think this is a girl they have dreams and hunches this is a girl etc it's getting to the point where my mind is going to 100 different directions :/

I feel like I have read in some previous posts about some of you that have been having headaches and crazy dizziness. i have been having what I think is migraines over the past few weeks (I am 11w 4 days) and just can't seem to shake them! I never had this with my previous two boys but have heard the OWTs that it indicates boys. Any of you all have experience with this and had girls!?!?!?
The headaches/migraines was definitely a girl sign for me! They didn't start until about 10/11 weeks but lasted until 18 weeks. Never had it with my boys. They were so bad at one point all day and night no relief did ice packs heat wraps on my neck..nothing really worked. I was looking into acupuncture near the end b/c it was so bad..but the suddenly they gradually lightened up at 18 weeks and went away! I can now function. I was sick too so overall turned the corner just last week! I have talked to some friends who had headaches with girls and not their boys. Hope you feel better, it's so hard the first 20 weeks.

From2to3 - I'm not confirmed girl, however out of all 4 pregnancies, I has the least amount of morning sickness this time around! I was also eating so much I was so worried how much weight I would gain (I actually lost 2 pounds and have only gained 1 back so far).. Fx you get your little girl!!

Thanks, SnipsnSnails. I know obviously symptoms can be so different from person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy. I just know I did not have these headaches with my boys. Sometimes, when I stand up off the couch or get out of bed, I get so lightheaded and dizzy and just want to hold my head still because I feel like I am going to pass out or fall over. Other than that a lot of my symptoms have been similar to previous pregnancies. I have definitely had a lot more nausea that lasts for hours, but not a lot of actual sickness to go along with it. I am doing the bloodtest next week because I just can't wait anymore, the suspense is killing me! Congrats on your pink bundle :)

Hi Grease, It was me who was doing Tarot readings, but look, I got bunnywabbit's wrong and GT! Got some other ladies right and most don't come back to tell, but if you still want it I can do it for you, as long as you are happy to do it just for fun, specially online. Face to face is always mroe accurate, I guessed a bunch for my friends and other life events, but online is always so impersonal. But I can still do it if you like. I closed the thread because there we too many and I was spending almost an hour doing it everytime I got here. Wish I could spend that time online, but life doesn't stop for it :)

I was quoted 700 euros when I booked it ages ago but on the day they said price had come down to 550. If it comes back high risk and I need an amino at least that will be free

aidansmum believe in dreams - I have done the same and lately I got woken out of my sleep that screamed at me "mummy your having a baby girl!" ... I just spent time with my two nieces and they are so adorable I do hope that I just have one to call daddys girl ....

I don't feel for any meat at all, to be honest. I might feel like a sausage roll or a cheeseburger every once in a while, but that's about it. I couldn't handle red meat right now and chicken is just blah. I can eat small amounts of bacon if given to me, but wouldn't go and cook it for myself.

Oh Icesfire, I'm so sorry :(

I have been keeping up with posts. Welcome to all the new ladies!
I just have not been posting lately because I'm literally not feeling up to doing anything. I have never felt so miserable in my life. Almost 8 weeks now and the morning sickness is out of control terrible. Never in any pregnancy have I felt horrible 24/7. Doesn't matter if I eat or not -- It just never ever goes away. Everything, and I mean everything is unappetizing to me, and when I do eat I can only eat very little.
I can't help to think that this may mean girl for me now cause I was never even close to anything like this before; but I tell myself not to look too much into symptoms and that my luck it will still be boy #4 giving me a run for my money already.
Wanted to let you know I'm reading about all of you and I'm here -- just a bit silent right b/c of all this m/s.

Good luck aidan at 12 week, I can't wait to hear but I do know how some doctors who do not believe in the potty shot may not show you. I do not see why he wouldn't just humor you and take a look!! Heatbeat 160, very active little person BUT it was on it's tummy doing push ups and kicking up like a little mule, pretty impossible to get a proper nub shot! I will post it anyway as soon as I scan the photos. It's 43 degrees today and there's no air con where I am right now, I am melting! Thanks for all the good wishes. Congrats Lunasa, that is great news!!!!

Well ladies, it looks like I will be flying to London, UK on the 4th of February for my 12 week NT scan. My scan is on the 5th and it looks like I will be 12 weeks and 1 day so I am hoping to get a good nub shot. I was hoping to do the scan closer to the 13 week mark but I guess 12 weeks is just as good :)

Yes maybe better to wait for 100% confirmation,,, I know these scans can detect male DNA from previous boy pregnancies and give false boy result, am not sure if they can give false girl result but you never know

Just done little research on the panorama test gender accuracy and the data gives >99% accuracy for girl, compared to 97.9% for the materniT21 test, so feeling bit more confident

Actually have just done bit of research on the gender accuracy and it says that the panorama test gives >99% accuracy for girls compared to 97.9% accuracy from the materniT21 test, so feeling bit better about it.

Congratulations! On your girl! I still wanted to see the u/s once I saw the bits, I believed! I still shopped after the blood test..go shopping just leave the tags on..but I bet its a girl. They can't detect previous boy pregnancies. It's looking at extracellular DNA vs. Intracellular.
I was happy with 99% odds.
So happy for you:)

I posted this on it's own thread, but was hoping to get some help from our thread. I went today for my first trimester screening and to do the gender blood test. My tech was super sweet and trying her hardest to give me a good guess. I am 12 w 3 days (measuring 12 w 6 d) and hb was 167. At first she thought boy and then changed her mind to girl. She spent a long time looking at different shots/angles and just kept flip flopping. I know there is some stuff out there about 30 degrees and something about the fork at the end (which i do not know much about), but could any of you give it a shot!?!?!?16317

My panorama results are back, I'm low risk and they say it's a girl !!!!!! I'm over the moon that everything is ok but had to make the girl repeat about the gender twice. Won't start buying pink until my 20 week scan though as know these tests are only 99% accurate.

This is my little bub, the second picture was taken first because the little one wanted to be on its tummy and did not want to roll over. Doctor made me jump up and down until it turned. I honestly couldn't see anything that resembled a nub in that position and then when baby rolled over the scan was over pretty quick because he had spend 10 minutes waiting for the baby to roll! I compared the skull with my boys and my boys little head was bigger and also bigger jaw, so I'm hoping it's a girl, but because it was so active DH thinks it's a boy. The sonographer wouldn't give me a clue. But all measurements are well below risk so that's good news.
My Doctor is sending me for a Harmony test next monday and I will know the gender for sure in about 2 weeks! Can't wait but I already love the little thing, boy or girl. :heart:16319

Hi Ladies

Well today I'm on a huge downer and I wanted to ask you a question. Do you believe in DNA blood test to find out gender?
Mine came back with what I didn't want to hear and now I'm upset and don't know what to believe anymore only that I am doomed to have yet another boy. The odds were against me from the start but I guess I have to come to the realisation that we could be destined to have four boys. Its just that we swayed so hard and tried everything that we were sure after all we did and even abstaining for 9 days that nothing would even survive and all my hopes were so high now I'm not certain about anything but its never going to happen for me. For some reason I'm just not meant to have a girl in my life.

I have my scan on Tuesday, I know what you mean by active as my last son was extremely active and I think just by the scan I see I will know by how active it is :/

Mumto3boys - thanks for your guess. I do understand how you feel. I only have 2 boys at this point, but I feel VERY much like you do in the sense that I feel like having a girl is something that will never happen for me. I don't know why, but just a feeling and as you said about the blood test - I am possibly setting myself up for disappointment. Not sure why I do this to myself, but I feel like the sooner I know, I can accept whatever the outcome is and bond with the baby. And just like my ultrasound, I feel like now there is a glimmer of hope for pink, but my twisted brain basically thinks it is just its way just shielding me from actually knowing just yet. I hope your baby is healthy and am definitely thinking about you!

mumto3boys first ((hugs)) went through these same questions a few weeks ago when mine came back boy. Initially I was devastated than I did a ton of research. The test definitely can be wrong, even my dr told me not to count on it 100%. Having said that honestly though I am not pinning my hopes on it being wrong for me. I believed whole heartedly in my sway & that this was my best chance for another DD. I believe that so much that I have since worked on reminding myself that if after everything we did to sway I still wind up with a DS than this little man is meant to be. There is always the chance it is wrong & I hope for both of our sakes it is wrong for us I just can't let myself go there. The let down at the ultrasound would be to big for me. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!!

Just to caution all those who have not done the test or gotten their results back yet personally I think finding out for me was the WORST decision ever! I have had some pretty rough moments since that phone call. I really wish I had more time to feel baby & bond before I found out. I know a lot of people have gotten the news they were hoping for but those of you that still have to take the test I would just caution you about finding out super early. For me at least the impact on gender disappointment was so much greater than I think it would have been if I had waited & gotten to know this baby first.

Thank you so much for replying you really don't know how much it means to me to know that someone is going through a similar situation. I do envy your one girl and I don't think I would care as much but I can understand wanting a sister for your daughter. I was so positive that we had done everything right and 'different' this time, I felt sick I have bad skin I'm gaining weight differently I'm way less moody than with my boys - BUT doing the test has questioned my belief in EVERYTHING out there, I from this point am not going to hold onto hope alone, or praying alone because I'm done, as if I think this way then at the dating scan on Tuesday I will be hoping, at the 20 week scan I'll be hoping, then I'll still be hoping that it comes out differently as I have done all other times. Its not as if I asked the heavens above for heaps of girls, just one, one will do fine - but as it seems we possibly can only produce boys. To be completely honest as depressed as I am, my two older boys 3 & 5 just randomly kiss me all day and today told me I'm beautiful, and my 17 month old was dancing to my singing and for once I smiled - wholeheartedly that I'm truly blessed with some great males in my life and this bean had all the odds against it including scorching hot baths and all and still fought its way through on our first try and it obviously wants life. My parents asked me if I definitely find out if its a boy would I abort and again to be honest it has crossed my mind, but when I really look into my heart and ask do I have it in me to end a life - its a definite NO. To everyone that gets what there after on here I truly congratulate you, and to others I will alongside you in this journey feel your sorrow, your pain, the sorrow that only you know I feel deep in my soul that will continue to mourn for a girl named Grace Eileen that I may never in this life get to know.

Finding out is not going to make things easier, trust me I know! With DS#2 the minute I got my BFP I said he was a boy, I had really strong feelings and when it was confirmed I felt like a ton of bricks fell on me!!! I spent the rest of the pregnancy regretting things, not doing a sway (I was on IG at the time) etc....Everyone said I was going to fall in love with him...NO, it didn't happen, I didn't fall in love with him at all. I took care of him but it wasn't the loving bonding time everyone says it would be! It wasn't until 6 months into his life that I started bonding with him and that's because he was chocking and I hesitated to pick him up..It was really a dark time for me but honestly it got better! It might not happen at birth but it will happen!!
Now, I was hoping things would be different but unfortunately they are not, GD is creeping in. This is not what I wanted, I didn't want to have another baby unless it was guaranteed a girl...Well none of these would have happened if my DH had told me about the mirena falling out!!! It makes things worse when all my friends and family are hoping and praying this is a girl. I feel like I will let everyone down including myself :(
Anyways just sharing some thoughts, didn't mean to bring anyone down :HH:

Yes these tests can be wrong , I think another member on here got a boy result with the materniT21 test and it turned out to be a girl. Maybe it's best to try to come to terms with the result you got, then if it turns out wrong it's a bonus. Really hope you get your dg xx

I do feel for you Greasemonkey and honestly, we have only told a few people so far for that very same reason. I just want to know the gender before announcing to the world. That way, they just have to accept what it is from the get go and can't go through the whole "oh, I hope this is your girl" or "I just have a feeling it's a girl" You don't have a feeling, please! That always just seems so ignorant to me. Also, it is a little frustrating when people assume you have two, three, etc. of one gender, that you would just automatically want/need/desire the other gender. Yes, in my case it is true, but not for all people which for whatever reason bothers me and makes me feel like I am disappointment to whomever is speaking because maybe I won't have that. Sorry. End rant. I just have felt the need to express how I really feel about the whole topic and feel like this forum out of anyone else, can really identify :) Like many of you have said, I sincerely hope everyone that has yet to find out gets their desired gender, but obviously, we wouldn't have put ourselves in this situation if it wasn't a remote possibility of the opposite outcome. No matter how long it takes to bond whether it been 1 day or 1 year. Good luck to all of you!!!

Mumto3boys I completely understand all that you are saying. Damn symptoms can be so misleading I really felt this was a girl also. My symptoms are the same as with my DD. I have spent way to many days sick, really sick & miserable. I hoped that was because of my DD & that made the sickness ok. Once I heard DS so many thoughts went through my mind. There are moments that I have asked is it all worth it, but than I remember all of those who have suffered loss & I remind myself that as sad I was to hear boy I would feel much worse if the promise of this child was no longer here. I also knew it wasn't fair for me to feel so down as I do have a DD but it did & does still brake my heart. Yes I wanted her to have a sister & I guess I'm still coping with the loss of my Grandmother a few months ago. This DD was supposed to be named after her. I guess in my own grief I made myself believe that I would have another DD named after her & it would be my connection to her. Hearing boy took that chance away & shattered my heart.

Its funny how you mention about your boys being so great to you yesterday mine were the same in the days after I heard boy its as if they know. While it is easier said than done I think at this point for me it is easier to repeat to myself that these wonderful sons of mine are going to marry amazing women & I'm going to get a ton of granddaughters & be wishing for a grandson!

I did make a pro-boy vs pro-girl list & that did help me some. I hope it gets easier for you as days go on. Even more I hope that your test was wrong & you hear girl at your ultrasound & get to finally use that absolutely beautiful name you have waiting. In the meantime ((hugs)) & just know we are here for you if you need us.

Mumto3boys - I am so sorry about your news! :( I agree with everyone, it is so nice to have a gathering place of people who truly understand. About a year ago or so when we were trying to make our 'final' decision about being done or going for three, I posted a question on a baby/child website asking if anyone got a different sex after having two of the same, and if so if they 'tried' for that certain sex. (just to see if stats about having two in a row really did screw your chances or not.) I got a lot of crap about how unfair and selfish it would be to try for a certain sex, on and on. Made me feel worse than I felt already!
Thing about this site and the fact that I've been in this situation - I am so happy for those that are getting their desired sex, and feel just as heart broken for those that don't. I truly struggled with DS2, and even asked to make sure it was still a boy when I got another ultrasound later, THEN still held on to the hope that both were wrong at delivery. Luckily, by the grace of God, I've loved that boy from the beginning. He is a sweetheart and a fire ball all rolled into one. I know he was meant to be. He was conceived very close to when our nephew was killed in a car accident, possibly even the same day as we made an attempt the night before, and he was born in the same month as our nephew's birthday month. That was a very hard time, emotionally and physically. Now, when I can put my own desires aside, I am so glad that my oldest son has a brother, and hopefully best friend for life! For me, it wasn't ever not loving DS2, just at the same time still thinking about a DD, like every single day! I felt so guilty because when I heard DS1 was a boy I was so happy...wish I could have been prepared to be happier with DS2. At the time, I thought I'd never get a chance for a girl, we were done having kids! I even sold all my baby stuff.
Now, I know it is going to hit me like a ton of bricks if it is a boy again, just because I FEEL like everything has come to this point for a reason...that is has to be a girl, despite symptoms. Everything that has happened to get to this point. My oldest even talks about a baby sister all the time - he doesn't even know we are pregnant! (Don't want a miscarriage or anything and have him be sad or confused).

Dreams - I know it hurts when you have a deep desire...but maybe (in case test is right) think of it like this....maybe this will make the bond between you and your daughter that much closer? And I'm sure her brothers will be very protective of their one and only sister. Maybe this will help?

Good luck ladies <3

from2to3 it will never cease to amaze me how absolutely insensitive & judgmental people can be. So thankful we all have found this site where we can talk about our feelings without that judgment!

As for my DD you are so right. That is one of the things I keep reminding myself I know I am so very blessed & really at this point she would be so much older than this baby they probably wouldn't have a close relationship for a long time. I also doubt my DD as a preteen & teen will want to share a room with a toddler & preschooler. Plus my youngest DS & this baby will be able to be playmates& all 4 of my kids want another DS. Keep telling myself all of this & I am dealing much better. GD does till sneak up on me but than I try to remember all of that & put things back in perspective. Plus to be honest I really truly one million percent hope all of you are able to get your girls & I can't let myself be down knowing all of you need your DD!

Fingers crossed this is your DD!!!!!!

I'm leaning boy - looks similar to my little man's nub. I'm really hoping I'm wrong and you get your little girl x

It's a little early and not entirely sure why I say so, but am leaning girl. Loving the little nose! Love the way they go off and do their own thing mid scan  - very frustrating!

ADDAGE: Not sure if that's a nub I spy on the 2nd picture - if it is, it looks girly to me, even lying on it's front! x

Ladies I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with GD! I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and I pray things get easier for you! I had a hard time bonding with DS2, but it wasn't because of gender. His dad was very abusive and I hates him by the time I delivered. Of course my son came out looking exactly like his dad and I couldn't stand the fact that I saw this horrific person every time I looked at my baby. It was VERY hard to bond with him. I even failed at breastfeeding because I just didn't want to do it. I truly believe, like others have said, if we get our opposite genders after praying and swaying SO hard, those little babies are fighters and are given to us for a reason. I so, so scared that I will hear boy on the 25th. Even tho at 14 weeks I was told "nothing between the legs", I blurred out the "it's still so early, don't go telling anyone or buying anything" part. This is it! This is my girl! (I told myself) And now that my scan is just over a week away, I can't even sleep at night. I've acted like I was told 100% girl, when in reality, it's still 50/50! I'm so mad at myself for setting myself up for such disappointment. Anyway, I pray that anyone who doesn't get their dream gender can find comfort. And know we are all here to listen and to support you!! I know I couldn't get through this if it wasn't for you ladies!!
