cemas - I had no symptoms and was positive af was coming. I had a tiny bit of heartburn but I get that off and on anyway.

Baby - You sound just like me! A tiny bit of heartburn, extra thirsty and dog tired. I rarely make it till 11 without nodding off lol

Hi ladies...thanks for your advice on DTD 12 hours after 1st opk....I was contemplating whether or not to DTD this morning
(12 hours after 1st +) or tonight...as I have been tracking with CBFM & read on another site, to DTD the night of 1st peak on CBFM (tonight)...glad I didn't...

7.15pm yesterday - smiley

8.00am DTD

I thought about trying it and also Vitex (even though I know it sways pink) but then thought I would just stick to using Clomid to get me ovulating since I know it works, and quickly. I just don't want to take the chance of potentially making things worse. I want to be normal dammit!

Thought about Vitex too, but I'm scared it does sway girl. I think Clomid sounds good. I would like to try it, but going to ask my doctor first.

Long story.. but I did not know I had even had sex so when I was getting a little pudgy I just thought it was from eating too many caramel slices at school - LOL!

My best friend bought me a test and we did it in the shopping centre rest room and the line came up right away.

A month later my parents found out and I had my first scan. It all happened so quickly after that and before I know it I had a baby in my arms..

Wow .. My mom had 8 kids with her 8th baby she didn't know she was pregnant until 16 wks. She went to the hopsital and found out she was pregnant and with a boy , LOL. My brother is 8 years old now.

I'm in shock, NEVER expected this! Yesterday i had AF cramps & have had slight twinges here & there but nothing to make me think i was preg. The only tell tell was i've been emotional, remember me saying that i'd cried a few times in the last week. DH's over the moon, bless him he says i have to take it easy now. He's away with work so i had to ring him with the news. The other sign could have been my eating, i've had a bit of an appetite lately but i just thought it's the boy diet that's made me eat all the time.

I am 9 dpo and still bfn (remember, I have to start testing at 7dpo for this research study I am in). I don't even think it really is even that likely to start showing bfp's till 10 dpo, so I ignore them (digi's). I see we have a BFP! HOOORAYY!!!

TTC5- we are about a day apart- when will you start testing?

Well ladies as I lay there in bed last night all feverish and such I thought exactly what Baby, Lola and Bec mentioned, if I did get a BFP and it was a girl, would I forever be wishing I'd waited? Probably.

BUT then I woke up this morning and I feel a-ok. AND I took an OPK last night and am starting to fade in, and had gross amount of EWCM this morning. Which makes me super nervous that I am going to O early, b/c DH and I DTD unprotected on Tuesday (thinking I still had a week before O) ... and now I could possibly O early, and those swimmers from Tues could still be there. AND I jumped and dumped after. So between that and being sick I am rockin' a stellar girl sway here. This is definitely where I use the F word, Tink.

At this point I'm just going to keep POAS to try to find my surge. Depending on when it comes I'll figure out my plan from there. If we hadn't DTD unprotected on Tues I'd skip this month for sure, but now I'm worried I could get pg from those swimmers anyway, so I'm thinking I should DTD again on O day. AAAAAAAAAARRRGH.

This sucks. I would say go for it again. Good luck.

Thank you Lola, of all the ladies on here you've known my journey & i know you are pleased for me which i really appreciate. I seriously didnt see this coming, i'm already wondering if it's boy or girl.. & after the congratulations from my eldest daughter & best friend the next thing they both said "i hope it's a boy" & i said that i'm just pleased i'm preg & if it turns out to be another girl then that's God's plan for me & still a blessing

Now everything in God Hands. All you can do is just pray :)

I get mine either in 2 or 3 packs, but not single. And Yes the digital ones are the best. I love Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test , those tests are really good too.

I'm feeling well finally! So it was a 24 hour bug, thank goodness, because I have a super fun birthday weekend to look forward to! My OPK's are getting darker but I typically get a solid 3-4 days of that (and of EWCM) before I get a true positive.

So I think we'll definitely have another attempt, it's just a matter of when the OPK goes + at this point!

It is a research study that is looking at implantation day and outcome of pregnancy.

looked at your chart and it looks good- I alawys think if your temp is staying high / or going higher than normal around this time then the chances increase that you might be preggo....is that last high temp normal around this time? or above normal?

Even with a CBE digi? I have some symptoms- cramping and some wet cm. Lower back pain, that's it. With DD, had very sore bb on 11 dpo, so much, that I remember it hurt to hug a friend the evening before bfp.

I only got sore boobs with my 2nd pregnancy nothing with the last two.
Although tonight I am getting a horrible stabbing pain through my left breast :(
I'd def give it another few days at least :)

I only got my positive 14dpo 1st time- that was a first faint line and 13 dpo with 2nd and I was the only one who saw a line thats how faint it was LOL!- some people just don't get them as early as others so your not out till AF comes :)

Don't lose hope Spicy!!! Do you remember how many DPO you were with DD when you got your BFP? A BFN on 10 DPO is by no means a final verdict.

I was at the earliest 12 dpo, but it could have been 14 dpo (had a wacky cycle and temps were confusing). But it was on a frer, and it was obviously positive so would have been positive probably at least the day before.

NO, you are not! You aren't out until AF comes, and many, many ladies don't get bfps until 14dpo even.

Also, it took 2 months with DD, but we had dtd for 9 days straight- how were there any swimmers left?

Spicy, it is good, I think, for any of us to prepare for several tries, even if you got pg on a one hit wonder previously. Once you get to 5 or 6 months with bfns, then we will all start to tell you to go to the doctor and all! But it is perfectly normal for it to take a while, and with swaying...you know, it's not necessarily inhibiting pregnancy, but if you are doing too much bsf or ew or supps are making you not actually O or lord only knows what, it can take a while. BUT don't lose hope yet, you never know! I got my 1st bfp at 11dpo in Jan and then 10dpo in March, but when I was pg before, it wasn't until around 14dpo, and the line was so faint that I could barely tell. You never know! But don't lose hope, any of you! Take inspiration from Babydes who has ttc for over a year, she didn't give up and was proactive and figured out what she needed to do to make it happen! (PS, still so happy for you!!!).

As for me, I am SO bummy, like emotionally, late last night and today. It's hormones of some sort, I can feel it. I sure hope it's not a pg thing! And my boobs are sore also, which they do get in the luteal phase sometimes anyway from my body making progesterone naturally, but still. Kinda freaking me out.

I'm only 3dpo! I'm not going to read too much into it, but IF I do happen to be pregs, I will just go with it and be happy, but will certainly be nervous that I'll lose it also. My midwife really drove into me the fact that I need to have 3 cycles go by before we tried again, so I would worry that I only had one go by, like last time, so my body wouldn't be ready. About gender, well....I will take anything at this point, but I would just hate that after a year of time and money, I didn't get to give my planned attempt a go, but an oops baby will be just fine. Honestly, though, I doubt I am, I think my body is reacting to progesterone or DHEA or something. It's hormonal, I can tell.

And of course, I am so happy for you! You really really deserve this baby, all of my FX that everything goes perfectly for you....it will!

Crashing- with my first I used FRER and did not get a + until 12 dpo(tested daily from 8dpo). I know when I ovulate(always have) and with my other 2 kids I had +'s on 9dpo and 11dpo. It just depends on when that little eggy implanted...He might be a very chill guy, taking his time :) Good Luck!! :luck:

Oh fun to bake cakes, Jen! I loooove baking. Love it. But our rental has this teeny tiny kitchen so I'm not baking anything til we move to the new casa. With a marvelous large kitchen :-) Oddly it isn't the tiny kitchen that I find tough it is the tiny sink. I can't seem to wash a big mixing bowl in it. But if that's my biggest complaint in life I'm doing ok ;-)

Ah, post baby chub. We work so hard to get pregnant ... then we're nauseated and have heartburn and get fat. And lose sleep for months. It's a good thing babies are so darn cute :-) Babydes what fun destinations for your 40th!

I don't have a winter baby yet so if I do get pg this month that will work well in our bday line up. We have May (DD2), JUne (Me), and then DH and DD1 in November. A February would fit in nicely.

Thanks, girls. I am already out of my funk. See, this is what is wiggin me out, I'm like Jekyll and Hyde today. HORMONES. Seriously, I am really ok about the ttc thing and all, it was like someone gave me a stiff drink of Piss Attitude this morning. And I keep having all of these sharp pains all over my uterus. I hope you are right, Baby. But oh well, if I am, I'll be due late Feb I think, so hoorahhhhh for a few months of loosing the babyweight! I don't lose any weight until I stop nursing though, it sucks. I decided if I do get pg, I will just put the baby in some baby-holding apparatus and do the Wii Dance for like 2 hours so I burn calories and entertain the hell out of the kid at the same time.

LMAO at this!! I can just imagine out with your friends when you get a positive! and your squeeling!!! ahah!!! Personally I am a swaying in secret. Only my mom and brothers and obviously DH knows. I couldn't tell anyone else. With the shit we got for my breast feeding and natural labor, this will send the rest of the people in my life over the roof. So we just aren't telling anyone. My mom and brothers are so supportive of us. Everyone else is very judgmental. When I went into labor with my daughter, it was very long and very hard. But I wanted a natural labor. My mother inlaw was up my ass. We had a lot happen in the beginning with losing her twin. My mother in law is a worry wart and she always has something to say. But my body my choice. I labored the way i wanted. I had her naturally and it made my mother in law crazy. Her birth was beautiful. I know my body. I knew when enough would be enough, My husband trusted me and we worked together. He knows my pain tolerance for god sake, I had the right side of my face completely redone after a horrific accident and didn't take one pain pill since I'm that against drugs. Such a catch 22, my dh smoke the special cigs! LOL. But anyway, I would do it again in a heart beat and ill nurse my baby for as long as she wants! I don't care what anyone says. I don't judge people on what they do so why judge me. As long as you love your babies and you are a good mama that's all I care about.

Good for you, Tink! You are absolutely right, no one has any say about your kids but you and the DH. I don't tell people either....they know we are ttc, but I mentioned it once to someone (just about the timing and diet) and she was like WTF that is all crap, so I dropped it. Of course, she has a boy and a girl, and says she is just "blessed" all the time. I wanted to kick her in the taco, but restrained myself.

I used to get so nazi about it...nothing made me more pissed than when I would get ugly looks from strangers while I had a huge blanket over me. I used to mouth off to people all the time, and no one EVER said anything in return, ever. My girlfriend used to nurse out in the open, no cover or anything, it was awesome. She used to be the mouthiest. Once, she said to a woman who was giving her very ugly stares, "What, are you afraid your husband is going to jack off to this later tonight?" I died. God bless her, she nursed her son for 3 1/2 years!

Well ladies as I lay there in bed last night all feverish and such I thought exactly what Baby, Lola and Bec mentioned, if I did get a BFP and it was a girl, would I forever be wishing I'd waited? Probably.

BUT then I woke up this morning and I feel a-ok. AND I took an OPK last night and am starting to fade in, and had gross amount of EWCM this morning. Which makes me super nervous that I am going to O early, b/c DH and I DTD unprotected on Tuesday (thinking I still had a week before O) ... and now I could possibly O early, and those swimmers from Tues could still be there. AND I jumped and dumped after. So between that and being sick I am rockin' a stellar girl sway here. This is definitely where I use the F word, Tink.

At this point I'm just going to keep POAS to try to find my surge. Depending on when it comes I'll figure out my plan from there. If we hadn't DTD unprotected on Tues I'd skip this month for sure, but now I'm worried I could get pg from those swimmers anyway, so I'm thinking I should DTD again on O day. AAAAAAAAAARRRGH.

This sucks.

Spicy, it is good, I think, for any of us to prepare for several tries, even if you got pg on a one hit wonder previously. Once you get to 5 or 6 months with bfns, then we will all start to tell you to go to the doctor and all! But it is perfectly normal for it to take a while, and with swaying...you know, it's not necessarily inhibiting pregnancy, but if you are doing too much bsf or ew or supps are making you not actually O or lord only knows what, it can take a while. BUT don't lose hope yet, you never know! I got my 1st bfp at 11dpo in Jan and then 10dpo in March, but when I was pg before, it wasn't until around 14dpo, and the line was so faint that I could barely tell. You never know! But don't lose hope, any of you! Take inspiration from Babydes who has ttc for over a year, she didn't give up and was proactive and figured out what she needed to do to make it happen! (PS, still so happy for you!!!).

TTC5, I always have tons of creamy cm when pg also......UH OH!!!! Methinks you may be pg also!

As for me, I am SO bummy, like emotionally, late last night and today. It's hormones of some sort, I can feel it. I sure hope it's not a pg thing! And my boobs are sore also, which they do get in the luteal phase sometimes anyway from my body making progesterone naturally, but still. Kinda freaking me out.

OK, lake house was awesome and we had a really nice chill time. My almost 7 year old daughter threw and epic amount of yelling fits but all was very nice and I still have the whole weekend left! Yay!

Update on fasting thyroid came back as a 9.83 when max is 5.50. That seems wrong and emailed to see if Dr. wants me to re-take. I feel pretty freakin hormonally normal this week 2, but I am starting to break out...again. My T4 was in range but my Ferritin was a 7 and range s/b between 22-291 but iron was w/in range. I made a Dr. appt for Thurs. either way.

I ended up O while at the lake house, of coarse. It works out then that we DTD just normal and nothing else on CD12 & night of CD13 while I guess getting fade-in opk's, but I'm an idiot. 1st +opk was like 10:30a.m. on CD15. I would be happy w/ a BFP but I will be a little bummed since I completely screwed it all up. I really need to get motivated to really get back into the sway diet and stuff. I'm eating for sure so at least my body should think it's in plentiful times.

Got autopsy results but they don't make a lot of sense and i have to get some more info. I don't want to post publicly though.

I think that's it. I read up on everyone's posts and can't wait to hear more updates.

WE are busy for a Friday night! I'm not O'ing anymore. Just waiting for AF to come next week. So I can start peeing on stuff again. I miss it. Looking on ebay for clearblue easy test sticks! So I had super fun times yesterday/today shopping and eating with my friends, totally POASWE (pee on a stick with Excellence, a la Tink :bigsmile:) at 2pm and 6pm in secret, and TOTALLY not getting my surge yet! Oh well! It will come ... but dang it all if I'm not having mad EWCM in the batcave today.

I join the rest in not telling peeps we're swaying. Especially since "we" aren't, only I am ... but anyhow, I would majorly, majorly hate for anyone to think if we had a 3rd girl that I was not 100% up for having her. I think most people don't "get" where we're coming from with this and I just don't want anyone to have opportunities to assume. My BFFs know we want a 3rd, and they know it'll happen relatively soon, but they sure as heck don't know we're TTC like, now.

Tink I looooove bf'ing my babies too, which is funny b/c I didn't expect to at all. When DD2 quit (both mine quit within days of their 1st bday) I was missing it for awhile.

So I'm thinking maybe I will end up O'ing CD14 this month after all ... which for me would be Tuesday, so I expect the +OPK for Monday, so we'd BD monday night. So if we were going to do another attempt with an 0-2 that would be tonight I guess? Glad you had a good time. My daughter is only 3 and throws some shocker tanties. Hope the dr appointment goes well and you get some idea of what to do next with the thyroid abnormalities. And I hope the autopsy results give you some sort of closure. Maybe you could get them looked at by someone so they can explain all the medical jargon?

I'm now just waiting to ovulate, I'm on CD 18 and I should be getting a positive OPK soon IF my cycle not messed up again. My cycle got extremely messed up after the m/c and plus the hormonal Supps. They say you are more fertile the three months following your miscarriage, but I didn't even ovulate?!!!! I'm just trying to see how it goes this cycle. I'm thinking to try in August, but I am really confused :sad:.

I would love to but he have so many things coming up in the next 6 months that I don't know if I would be able to give 100% with diet/supps etc. And I also have to take Clomid which means I will need to be poked and jabbed every few days. OH! I was totally forgetting to mention! We did decide to have an attempt last night, so it was an 0-2 with a 4 day abstinence, and then FX I do get the +OPK on Monday afternoon, so it'll have been 48 hours. I know that egg is coming b/c I'm usually nauseated before O and I've been feeling it all morning. Anyhow ... I had loads of EWCM so didn't bother with eggs or preseed, I did big O before and after, and did do 1 BSF an hour before. Hips propped for 90 minutes with my phone on my belly. I'm more relying on diet/EWCM than any of the bells and whistles that go along with DTD.

Anyhow today is my birthday, yay! My lovely ladies gave me a set of garishly loud (and according to DH, atrociously expensive) pajamas that they picked out, so of course I shall cherish them always :bigsmile:

Thank you for the birthday wishes gals!! I need help with timing!!! We DTD last night (after 4 day abstinence) thinking it would be an O-2 attempt (expecting +OPK tomorrow afternoon) but I just got a +OPK now! Should we DTD again tonight, or just let it go? I'm pretty sure I won't get a +OPK again tomorrow afternoon; I usually just get 1 day, and maybe the next morning. There's zero chance we'll DTD tomorrow am, so either tonight, or not again, b/c I'm not risking O+12.

That said I think this is the strongest O I've had in months; I usually get a bit of nausea but today has been ridic how much I've had.

Thanks for any opinions! I may just let the evening play out however ... if we feel like BD we will, if we don't feel like it we won't. I don't like making life all about the sway, y'know?

Whew finally caught up! Baby shower went great but after spending 15 hrs on the cake in the last two days I was pooped, in bed asleep before the girls lol Today we all went to the zoo so again I'm pooped, thinking about a cuddle and a nap with whoever will join me.
Still feeling good, scary good actually. Very little heartburn, no nausea, and with the exception to not liking anything tomato based and craving taco's 24/7 I'm still not having any food issues. Any of you ladies with boys have smooth pregnancies? All my buddies with boys got crazy sick which makes me a little nervous. This is a lot like dd#3, I felt so good I didn't believe I was pregnant till my pants wouldn't button lol

Bec, it isn't the biggest part to me - I'm very much a diet believer. I think I'm just thrown b/c OF COURSE I think I have it all planned out and then things don't go the way I thought, LOL. So I just really was hoping to get some engagement on the topic from the girls here since DH isn't at all into swaying and doesn't give a flip what we do. Although he'll never turn down some good ol' BD :bigsmile:

Anyhow I know it's also tough to get lots of opinions on a Sunday night since many are online more Mon-Fri, so thank you girls for talking with me about it!

OH! I was totally forgetting to mention! We did decide to have an attempt last night, so it was an 0-2 with a 4 day abstinence, and then FX I do get the +OPK on Monday afternoon, so it'll have been 48 hours. I know that egg is coming b/c I'm usually nauseated before O and I've been feeling it all morning. Anyhow ... I had loads of EWCM so didn't bother with eggs or preseed, I did big O before and after, and did do 1 BSF an hour before. Hips propped for 90 minutes with my phone on my belly. I'm more relying on diet/EWCM than any of the bells and whistles that go along with DTD.

Anyhow today is my birthday, yay! My lovely ladies gave me a set of garishly loud (and according to DH, atrociously expensive) pajamas that they picked out, so of course I shall cherish them always :bigsmile:

I haven't decided at all. I am so flipping confused. But I guess i better get on it. I am taking a 1 medication NOT by choice at all due to a fall I had wile six months pregnant. Trying to avoid having back surgery. I tried to wean myself off of it. I have 2 slipped discs and my right hip is blown out. I really don't want to be on it at all. I have never been on anything in my life but my back is F*%Cked up. When I stopped taking it back in March, for the month I did I could barely walk so I got back on. I really don't want the surgery. I have heard such back things about back surgery s and I am ex semi pro soccer player with no injuries. And my father is a Basketball coach, he is very against me having the surgery as well. Leave it to me to slip on a chocolate milkshake in the middle of the mall 6 months pregnant!! go me!

Anyway, I wonder if my medication will mess my sway? So that is the other reason I want to be off this, I am also willing to suffer. Plus I have lost weight since then too. So that may ease up on the disc.

i have no idea what supplements to start on? Anyone want to recommend a little combo? I'm more of a tell me what to do and Ill do it kinda of girl..lol.

Hey Bec, I will probably wait until the day before AF is due. I really don't like bfn's and I feel guilty when I get them. Just knowing we spent money travelling to and from Sydney for it and hotels etc. My very first try was in America, we had our flights booked and I got my period early so we had to re-book the flights for a few days earlier which cost $650 and when I got a bfn I felt really bad. So yeah I will wait this time, one bfn isn't as bad as 3 or 4 if I test early.

We DTD last night (after 4 day abstinence) thinking it would be an O-2 attempt (expecting +OPK tomorrow afternoon) but I just got a +OPK now! Should we DTD again tonight, or just let it go? I'm pretty sure I won't get a +OPK again tomorrow afternoon; I usually just get 1 day, and maybe the next morning. That said I think this is the strongest O I've had in months; I usually get a bit of nausea but today has been ridic how much I've had.

um um um um um.....where is lola? :) I don't want to give wrong advice, I would say do it since abstinence isn't supposed to be like a crazy crazy diff and I though Atomic said that the 1st sperm would still get there 1st since they have to shed something. I would go for it if you want more chances for a BFP.

Tink - As far as sups, what's your goal? Raise pH, increase cm, load yourself with nutrients, repair damage? Personally I did a pre-natal(nutrients), folic acid (you pee out any extra), fish oil (raises pH and increases cm), potassium & Vit D (it sways and I have a deficiency). Not sure about the meds, maybe ask Atomic or NBP.

Kris - To a lesser extent I know how you feel, I felt so bad with each bfn for all the money we spent on sups and tests. It'll all be worth it when you get that bfp, fx it very very soon:wink:

Thats a good ?, based on my knowledge of anatomy I'd think it doesn't matter, either way the swimmers are pooling at the cervix. Most lay on their back though.
That's awesome to get to tell parents in person, I've had to tell my dad 3x over the phone and it sucks.

I definitely need to raise my ph. When I tested on O day i was whopping 4. I probably need to increase CM as well. SO I was already going to take Fish Oil. I guess I could Go and get on those ASAP. And Start FA.

TTC. WE conceived DD June 22nd of 08, I missed my AF that was due July 1st. I knew I was Pregnant. I started peeing on sticks that day that i had missed AF. But I didn't get a BFP until July 20th Soooo Don.t get down. But I had faith! I rolled off DH the night we made her and said "that one did it" I just knew we scored that night!! I felt it in the pit of my stomach, well uterus! I had so many negative tests, so keep the positives vibes your still in the game till AF shows up!

It sure does, I always had ewcm at ovulation time but since i've been taking 3000mg daily i've been having wet mucus everyday not just around O. I ovulated 4 days ago and I still have it. It's not quite ewcm but it's very close, i'm sure it helped keep some sperm alive longer than usual.

That's quite amazing hey, i mean AF due on the 1st and didn't get a bfp till the 20th! See there is still a chance for you TTC5!
Some people say that a boy shows up later in a pregnancy test cos a girl is conceived a bit earlier so that results shows up earlier....dunno if it's true or even slightly true but that's what i read.

TTC, I have been meaning to tell you this for a few days but selfishly get on my own tangents! LOL. Another funny thing, I even did a blood pregnancy test on July 10th, came back negative!! I still didn't give up. And some have you seen proof of my little punem!! Just turned 2!!

Ok so il go get fish oil and FA and start them ASAP, and figure out some more stuff! any recommendations of fish oil?

Some of the newer fish oils are double or triple strength so that means taking less pills per day if that's something you're interested in. The ones i take it says 3 x 1000mg daily but i'm not sure if you need more when ttc?

Oh ok. Well you are still ovulating so it obviously hasn't impacted that side of things. It's way too soon to be able to tell if has affected your fertility anyway. You have to be more optimistic :)
