Thank you for the birthday wishes gals!! I need help with timing!!! We DTD last night (after 4 day abstinence) thinking it would be an O-2 attempt (expecting +OPK tomorrow afternoon) but I just got a +OPK now! Should we DTD again tonight, or just let it go? I'm pretty sure I won't get a +OPK again tomorrow afternoon; I usually just get 1 day, and maybe the next morning. There's zero chance we'll DTD tomorrow am, so either tonight, or not again, b/c I'm not risking O+12.
That said I think this is the strongest O I've had in months; I usually get a bit of nausea but today has been ridic how much I've had.
Thanks for any opinions! I may just let the evening play out however ... if we feel like BD we will, if we don't feel like it we won't. I don't like making life all about the sway, y'know?
A bit late in reply but i'd have gone for it again the day you got +opk

Iluv - welcome back! Glad you had fun despite your dd. Sorry the autopsy results didn't give you immediate peace. FX still crossed you get some satisfying answers soon.
Welcome Kris!
TTC5 - How long is your lp? Don't give up hope, if you remember both Baby and I were positive af was on the way.
Begonia - Happy Birthday!! Yay for ewcm!! Cake turned out great! I didn't get any pics with my camera but I'll post one as soon as I get my hands on my friends camera. If tomorrow won't work I say definitely go for it tonight!
Bec - Jan will be here before you know it!
Cemas - I think the cp change is different for everyone. Mine is still med and fairly firm.
Whew finally caught up! Baby shower went great but after spending 15 hrs on the cake in the last two days I was pooped, in bed asleep before the girls lol Today we all went to the zoo so again I'm pooped, thinking about a cuddle and a nap with whoever will join me.
Still feeling good, scary good actually. Very little heartburn, no nausea, and with the exception to not liking anything tomato based and craving taco's 24/7 I'm still not having any food issues. Any of you ladies with boys have smooth pregnancies? All my buddies with boys got crazy sick which makes me a little nervous. This is a lot like dd#3, I felt so good I didn't believe I was pregnant till my pants wouldn't button lol
My CP is medium & fairly firm as well. I'm feeling good too, i dont even feel preg. I have been having mild cramps here & there so i looked it up & it seems it's quite common so i'm not stressing about it. No cravings. Jen, i've heard that boy pregnancies are smoother so that's the opposite of what you've heard, goes to show that it's just OWT. I went to pick my daughter from nursery last week & this little boy just couldnt stop starring at me & i thought hmmm i'm having a girl if i go by OWT however my cousin's girlfriend's preg & she's having a boy so when her & i went to the park this w/end 2 little boys we saw looked at both of us the same which made me feel better that once again it's just OWT

Speaking of supplements? Do you think since I am starting my attempt in Sept? I should start them now or some? Have I asked this before? I am tired. How is everyone?
TTC, when is AF due for you?
I would say to start supplements now

Tink - I would start the sups asap so you have time to figure what works best for you.
Begonia- I'd go for it tonight
ttc5 - still early

Yep, are we nuts! lol. My partner has tried about 6 times with no luck, we could go on like that for years while i sit by and watch my eggs run out so we thought i should try too so at least one of us can have a baby.
All the best, hope you get your lil boy! Can i ask if you dont mind, why have you chosen to have a boy instead of a girl?

Well my partner wants to have a girl and i've always wanted a boy, he constantly appears in my dreams at night too. I just feel like i'm meant to have this little boy.

Jen that cake is ah-mazing! How long have you been doing those? Mmmm, cake.
Tink I'm so sorry to hear about your back, my goodness that sounds like it just is super painful! I hope you can wean yourself successfully. I second fish oil and folic and vit D as being good ones to go ahead and start. They won't change your cycle and they are all good for general health.
Babydes I'm glad you're still feeling well! I think the ease of the pg is totally OWT, I am sure like many of you my girls gave me totally different experiences. DD1 I was super sick, DD2 nothing at all. I was sure DD2 was a boy b/c it was so different.
TTC5 you could just be a late BFP'er!
Oh Kris wouldn't that be cool if y'all both ended up pg close together? It would be super fun for the kids :-)
Bec (I think it was you that asked) this is my first attempt! But I've been doing diet/supps etc for almost 9 months.
We did go ahead and do one more attempt last night ... I don't plan to test until at least 9 DPO so no POAS for me for awhile!

I have to see a specialist again but since I took Clomid with my first two I am pretty sure he will prescribe the same. Unfortunately not til Jan. I wish it was sooner but we have a few things on in the next few months and I won't be able to give 100% with diet/supps etc. I want to give it my best shot.

Kris -on fish oil, I too had massive amounts of cm all the time, started a few days after af and lasted till a few days before af. Love the stuff! I think that's great you are both going for it, fx your bfp's come close but not too close. 2 very pregnant woman in one house could be very, very bad lol
ttc5 - fx the procedure doesn't affect anything, funny how we always find something to worry about  How's the slime factor? Still have a bunch of yellowish slime on the panties?
Baby - glad things are going smoothly for you too! I'm not normally a believer in owt as I've had less m/s with each pregnancy. I guess I'm just looking for problems lol Thanks about the cake, my bff did love it :)
Begonia - thanks hun, I've been dabbling in cakes since my oldest turned 1 so about eight years. A few years ago I moved into fondant and they've been getting bigger and crazier ever since.
FX for your attempt last night, I will be eagerly waiting till 9dpo:bigsmile:
Cemas - thanks!
DD#2 is out of school all week for kindergarten testing so I'll be getting a little taste of life without 3 trips to the school per day. I can't wait for both to be in all day school. Sooo tired today from our busy weekend, thinking I'll be doing a lot of cuddling and napping. Oh and eating, crazy hungry, feel like I could take out the entire kitchen

Jen that is one thing I just think is unfathomable about really anything more than 1 child ... all the trips to the school and schoolwork and extra activities ... my goodness! I'm going to need a personal assistant!
And about those crazy hungries, does anyone else find themselves positively starving around O? I mean I can eat just all day long. But I also feel nauseated around O. It is the strangest combo!
Anyhow it would be nice to be pg b/c otherwise I'll get AF on our vacation. Such a pain to have the witch while wearing a swimsuit!

Begonia - luckily the school chaos happens slowly but certain times a year I have to call in my mom or have dh take a day off to help.

Tink FWIW I agree supps about 3 months in advance is a good time to start. Have you decided yet what you will take?
Jen that is great that you're still feeling well  Glad the cake was a good effort too!
Cemas I have no idea about cervix during pg, I'm sorry. I didn't even know where mine was til 9 months ago :suprise:
OK I was really hoping to get some opinions on my BD thing and if we should do it tonight or not. Maybe no one saw it?!? I'm stressin' it a wee bit and thought I could really count on my blue crew (if not the thread I posted in the TTC Boy forum) to at least give me opinions. So if anyone is on in the next couple hours I really would appreciate your advice... I posted about it a page or so back but here it is again since maybe no one saw:
We DTD last night (after 4 day abstinence) thinking it would be an O-2 attempt (expecting +OPK tomorrow afternoon) but I just got a +OPK now! Should we DTD again tonight, or just let it go? Thanks Flava! We did decide to DTD again; I'm not that worried about timing I guess, so we'll see how it turned out for me! I'm sure I'll get more anxious as it gets closer to time to test but right now I'm sort of ambivalent about the whole thing; it's weird ... I thought I'd be more like TTC5 ready to pee on a fortune cookie  I kind of think I'll be totally ok with a BFN this time around, seeing as how it's the 1st go for us.
Good to know re: the hunger around O, Jen! Because I am an animal the 2 or so days before! I wish I had my mom nearby to help out on crazy days... we have no family anywhere near us, but I have about a dozen babysitters in my cell phone and have been known to mass text all of them in times of need

How funny someone mentioned dreams. I drempt about DD before we got pregnant and all through my pregnancy until we found out her gender. I knew she was going to be a girl. The weird part was she was a twin, but I only ever drempt about on little girl. I use to see DD's face, she looked exactly like she did when I gave birth to her it was insane.

BTW - You asked me a few days ago about when we DTD, I guess it would be 48 hrs or so before O if not a little more since I should be 2 days of OPK's.My + opk was on CD15 but then wouldn't I not actually O till CD16? I'll totally be prego this time since I did nothing and it will be a girl. I'm not worried either way right now and will wait for AF which I suspect will come next week.
how are you feeling like DTD the 2nd time was for you, do you feel good about it? I know you'd be OK with a BFN and I'm sorry you and Flava aren't feeling the love. I just hate to comment when I don't feel like I really know what I'm talking about and would hate to give wrong advice. I really have appreciated your help in the past and didn't want to leave you hanging. I think it's OK to do it again since your 1st try would get there 1st and 2nd was a back-up. You are good about the diet and that's the best thing you can do. I need to go to the grocery store when pay day comes and stock up to get back on it properly.

I have a problem with my vascular system.. when they take my BP one side measures high and one side measures low. I get alot of pain and have pelvic congestion syndrome/ovarian reflux and varicocele of the vagina/anus and labia. They have never seen someone so bad but they also left me 10 YEARS undiagnosed kept telling me was just a varicose vein which is common and will ease up.. it got worse to the point where standing in the shower or going to the toilet had me in tears :(

Sorry Spicy! Sounds like you're ready to go again, I like your positive attitude!
Oh I do everything on my own FWIW! DH works all the time though so if I want to do anything for me, like go to the doctor or get a haircut or what have you, I have to get a sitter. Hence the army of sitters  I completely agree ... I'd way rather do it myself, only because I am a wee bit of a control freak. Just a tad. A smidge. Hardly anyone notices it I'm sure
Iluv what is with the AF coming when we've got PLANS?!?! No fair! LOL about needing to park near a potty though! Oh the things men just never even have to worry about
Tink that is wild that you even saw DD's face in your dreams of her!
I kinda think if we didn't get it this cycle I'm going back to waiting to TTC til October. I just liked the idea of getting knocked up with our 3rd kid on my 33rd birthday  I have a girls weekend in July that I would LOVE to be able to drink during ... so definitely won't try July, and then don't want another May baby so would skip August. Maybe September. But anyhow, if this one didn't take I'm sitting a couple out for sure!
Hopefully you won't need to worry about skipping months anyway. I'm like you though, we have to wait a few months because we have weddings, hens/bucks nights, holidays, 30th birthdays etc. and it would be way too hard not to drink and to stick to the diet.

Good that you will be starting meds soon. Hopefully they will get your thyroid functioning normally again and your cycles back on track.

Morning ladies!
TTC5 you're not out yet, do you feel at all like AF is coming? I know I mentioned I get super hungry around O but I also find I get hungry around AF. Basically I'm always hungry, LOL. I am so glad that you got that procedure; it sounds like you were in crazy massive pain before! I can't imagine parenting 4 girls with that going on too.
Tink that cake was darling!
Bec I think you're smart to wait til you can focus on diet, etc more easily! I know I couldn't do it any other time this summer so I'm fine letting the next couple months pass me by. I am sure I'll be able to be Ok with a BFN bc timing really was going to be better for us this fall.
Kris how early will you start testing? Are you going to wait until the odds of a BFP go up or try for an early one?
Cemas how are you?!?! I know you were getting close to POAS time. I would love to see you get a BFP.
iLuv (ha, just realized I typed that like iPhone) how many DPO now for you? Any symptoms?
And where is our lovely Lola?
3 kids is definitely my max, unless of course we have 4 by nature of twins, which I wouldn't mind because I like even numbers :-) My FIL was one of TEN though! That's just crazy talk to me.

Hey all, I've been working my butt of the last 3 days so I can go on vaca for 2 weeks, which starts today! So sorry I missed your imminent question, Begonia! I am glad you did it, I would have said to go for it also. FX!
Cemas, I know that sucks, I totally understand how you feel. Just keep trying. Did any tests show a problem from HT? Do you think it is just your age (which I think is my problem)? Maybe try the DHEA and some antioxidants like me if that is the case. You'll get there, just don't give up yet. Look how perseverance got Babydes her bfp! Big hugs to ya.....xoxo
Iluv, balls all around with all that crap you are dealing with. I actually think maybe the diagnosis for your thyroid is good. Now you can get it leveled and get pg no problem....not to mention you will feel a lot better all around. Sorry about little DS2, I know that is heartwrenching to even continue to think about. We're here for you with everything.
Babydes and 3PNB, glad you ladies are feeling well. And NO thinking about silly OWT, preggos! They are all rubbish, you know! Keep your minds focused on putting amazingly healthy foods in yourself for those growing little beans. You know it won't be long before we are nubsessing with you and then waiting on pins and needles for your big scan!
Tink, I am with the others, start them supps now. Definitely the fish oil. Look through some of the sways and you will find a huge variation of what people took. I used to do a bunch of stuff, but now mostly just healthy egg stuff, but I would recommend taking 3PNB's recs for sure. She is right on about tackling your "issues" whether it be ewcm or ph or uterine health and LP length. I would also begin the drinks, if you are going to do those, pretty soon also. I am on those once we return from our trip at the end of June. (I'll be in Detroit and Chicago for 2 weeks, yay! And will do my best to check in every couple of days!)
Kris, best of luck to you and your partner. I would love to see you both get pg together! Why not employ two uteruses towards the goal instead of one, hey? Love it! I have some good friends (guys) who are starting their quest for a "gayby" as they call it. I would carry for them if I could! I think they are going for adoption though. I know all that expense is crazy, but you two hopefully won't care once you have your bab(ies)!!!
Everyone else, luv ya tons.....gotta start packing/washing the dog/cleaning the house for the housesitter/putting duct tape over my kids mouths right now. XOXOXO
Oh, and as for me....I am 7dpo right now....I have no idea what is up, but thinking I'm in the safe.

Have a great vacay Lola! OK I'm either crazy or I remember you being in Chicago last summer too? I'm going there in July to visit friends. Hope you have a lovely time off!
Babydes FWIW I had NO symptoms other than a + pregnancy test with DD2. I was really concerned too so I totally get it, but you can have a healthy bean in there and feel great, I promise. But I remember squeezing my boobs to TRY to feel something, LOL! And sniffing food just hoping for a wave of nausea... I mean, I felt NO sign of being pg. Felt heaps better once I got to see the heartbeat. Just keep doing what you're doing, resting and eating well, and that bean will nestle in just fine!
Cemas love I am so sorry you got the BFN. I know it has to be so hard to pluck up and keep going month after month. You can do this! Anytime you need encouragement just pop on here and know we're all cheering for you. I think iluv is our 2ww'er going camping. I wish it was me! But I'll be home, darn it all.
Tink did you get your supps? What did you go with?
Well I waver on testing, even though I have time to wait... I almost picked up a pack of tests at the store today so I'd have them for next week, but part of me was like, why waste the $? I can find out if I'm pg just by waiting to see if AF shows. I don't know ... we'll see ... I still wouldn't be surprised at all to see me POAS at 9dpo. I never had a 2WW before since neither DD was really planned so I might as well live it up and pee on everything I can this time around ;-)

man what a bummer. I don't know how I can fake drinking with all these wild girls. They know me as being the life of the party. Plus I sorda want to have a few since this will be my last hoorah before we TTC #2, is there anyway around it? Is there anything I could have a little of that wouldn't mess with my diet? Or am I totally screwed? Not like drinking is more important then my baby sway but it would be nice to let loose a little. Especially since i will be away from DH and DD for the second time ever for whole weekend! YIKES!
I didn't get my supplements yet. I actually totally forgot yesterday when I was at the store. I got so wrapped up in buying DD sidewalk chalk and new art supplies. All kinds of fun stuff. I got so excited that when I got into the car i went "shit" i forgot why i actually came here. I am such a little kid when it comes to that stuff. DH came home yesterday and we had made artwork all over the back yard with the chalk. DD, was telling him what everything thing was. She was so cute. "daddy this is minnie, mickey, a tree, a duck, a heart, a flower, a leaf, you, me, mommy, gigi, and so on" so funny!!
Ok it's a beautiful day! we are going to swim now! and have a picnic outside! Hope everyone has a great day!!

Which is not happening this summer what with my boy friendly figure and all ;-) If I do get pg there's no way I'm going anywhere near the pool by August; I can't imagine how bun #3 is going to stay secret til 13 weeks if I'm walking around in nothing but lycra! LOL, Begonia....sorry 'bout the couch! I had a dream the other night that I was poas and I actually peed a little, it woke me up. DH laughs, because he knows that 9 times out of 10 I peed myself if I just had a good sneeze. He'll bellow out the Billy Madison line "everybody's peeing their pants, it's the cool thing to do!" Anyway, yea, we go to Chicago a lot because my SIL who I am super close to lives downtown and also happens to be my favorite city in the US. My ballet company performs there sometimes also.
About early pg symptoms, I had NONE with my girls, and just creamy cm with these two recent pregnancies, but until about 16-18dpo or so, not much except some implantation cramps and minorly sore boobs, which I get every month anyway. Don't lose hope, my fellow POASers! (I say fellow because I picked up some FRERS today for this weekend....I just wanna be sure.)
Tink, if you are not in the 2ww or imminently bding, I say go out and have a rollicking good weekend, for real. It's not going to mess up your sway. If the weekend was during your attempt cycle, like AF-O time, I would maybe just have a few glasses of red wine but by all means, have a good time! But, you are going in August with me, right!?!

Ugh ... busy day today, must get going. Hi to everyone though and hope you all have a great morning! Laters!
Thanks for checking in B. I'm not sure how to count dpo, really. 1st + opk was 6/8 so O would most likely be on 6/9 but then is dpo so then you wouldn't count till 6/10 as 1dpo? If i count from 6/10 that will be 5dpo. I'm sure I could come up with some things that might be a different about my body but I would probably be making it up or making something out of nothing. I would say no symptoms and not expecting BFP but then totally expecting it since I did it all kinds of wrong. :)
We DTD on CD13 & CD14; 1st + opk was CD15 so O would then be CD16. I'm not really thinking I'm prego at all. Will wait till AF shows or doesn't. I suspect. I might test Sunday just to be sure before vacay, but I kinda doubt it.
How about you? I know we are in the same boat of kinda hoping it's not a bfp this time.

ttc5 u have some symtoms so don't give up hope....praying for ur bfp

So sorry, Cemas. total suck!

I know it's not all about me but yes, yes, yes! I didn't give bad advice to B.....of coarse I think it was ultimately late advice but it wasn't wrong. :)
Im lovin all these vacay's ladies and totally deserved. Where you off to Lola?
Yay on the dpo! I'm feelin in the safe too. I have got to get back onto the diet, yo!

DD2 just peed on the couch but I'm 99% sure you were hoping for OPK or preg test results!
Cemas no worries! I had a vacay back around end of May ... no more scheduled til 4th of july though. It's easy to get it all confused here!
Jen I loooooove coconut rum in pineapple juice! LOL! I always feel like I need to be wearing a bikini on the beach though. Which is not happening this summer what with my boy friendly figure and all ;-) If I do get pg there's no way I'm going anywhere near the pool by August; I can't imagine how bun #3 is going to stay secret til 13 weeks if I'm walking around in nothing but lycra! Yikes!
LO, B!
I've thought about like keeping a cheat sheet on everyone cuz I totally forget all the time and hate to keep re-asking people the same ?'s.

That's cool about your friends, adoption would be my first choice but in this country we're not allowed to adopt! I hope your friends don't have to jump through too many hoops, I know adoption is getting harder and harder!

Can't decide... I always get BFP after AF is due, so not earlier than next Monday. My p's couldn't understand why I'd want 3, (they love her to death now) so I don't want to deal with their reaction to my 4th :) They had 2 of us and think everyone (esp. me and sis) should live their lives exactly the same as they did.

I let way too many opinionated friends and family affect my last pregnancy and I'm not letting that happen again. They don't have to live with me so the decision is up to me and my husband. I don't tell my friends how the live their lives. I think I just let people in to much and am a little too open.

we totally need to hang when I'm not so gosh darn freaking busy all the time. we'll make it work. I love my DH's Tat's. so sexy! I have a hard time telling people off unless i'm really pushed and have had enough. I know people are trying to love me and care for me but there seems to be some boundary issues on both parts. DH hardly ever has to deal w/ any of it cuz most people are scared to approach him. I wish I was like that a little more. I just tend to believe that people aren't trying to hurt my feelings but I bend over backwards to make them feel OK w/ talking to me.....so, boundary issues. I'm learning though...I'm def. learning. DH says we aren't sharing C.O.D of the baby w/ friends and family, which is a great boundary, but guess what, I'm the one that has to tell people we aren't sharing C.O.D, people who care about us. Good boundary but somehow i always get stuck w/ being the bad guy.
In-laws can be hard. I'd like to hear more about your SIL at some point though. Maybe we should calendar a get together??

Do you like roll over and pull it off the night stand or under the pillow as soon as you wake, like on the dot or do you have leeway. Do you just rinse it off w/ water after? Do you have a note pad you jot the degree off on?

I let way too many opinionated friends and family affect my last pregnancy and I'm not letting that happen again. They don't have to live with me so the decision is up to me and my husband. I don't tell my friends how the live their lives. I think I just let people in to much and am a little too open.

AFM: 13 dpo and bfn this morning. AF due tomorrow! Today feeling funny in the tummy, ate some weetbix today and they tasted "funny"?? It must be nerves??!!
I just had a thought, last two night I have been sleeping with my mouth OPEN DH said I have been snoring, lol so bad he actually voice recorded it :O
So this could explain my recent dips, or am I clutching at straws here? LOL!!
I thought I used my last test this morning, but I actually have ONE left... could it be a sign HEHEHE ;)
I am not going to test now until AF is late, if she does now show that is!!

Why are you changing your supplements, did you have lots of ewcm? I remember you having great ph so why change it? You have to remember that one only has a 10-20% chance of falling preg each time you try so dont panic too much because it hasnt happened on your first attempt, it took me 1yr to get here. I'm not saying it will take you ages but just remember that if it fails this time it will happen soon & if you had great ph keep doing what you've been doing

Hello ladies! OK first a disclaimer ... if I suddenly disappear it is because my computer is acting VERY odd lately. It's only a year old but my last iBook also died an untimely death. Hmmm.
Anyhow, TTC5 I don't know why I keep hanging on to hope, maybe because your symptoms were so promising, but I swear until AF shows I'm believing you are pg. I really hope you are. In the meantime I'm with Baby, what're you going to change and why? Your pH was rocking!
Cheekymoo FX for you this cycle! My 1st attempt was just a couple of days ago... it is very exciting after all this planning to finally dive in. Hope everything goes according to your plan!
iluv you did give me great advice :-) and girl you have got to get some boundaries going it sounds like! You can have boundaries without being a bitch. You know? You can be kind without being too open... if people ask about the COD I would just tell them that you appreciate their concern and care for your family, but that you and DH have chosen to keep that private at this time. I have to have some pretty high boundaries with my mother but never want to hurt her feelings so am constantly searching for tactful ways to keep her out of my business, LOL!
OK too fun that Tink and iluv are practically neighbors! Y'all need to get some picnic action going! Tink we join in the sidewalk chalk fan club! Super fun stuff. Although last time DD2 drew something that looked EXACTLY like, umm, a certain part of a man. It was a "dog toy" for the dog she drew. DH came home and was like, WTH is that in the driveway?!? It didn't help that she made it like 4 feet tall. Oh how I love having kids :-)
Kris sorry your partner is out, FX for you! DebH is sounds like you're getting close to testing as well! And my dad will be here late next week; I totally get the not being able to get on the computer because when they are here I likely won't be on much at all. Which will be tough b/c it'll be right when I'm POASing but I promise to at least post results for y'all from my phone!
Good luck Sunnyebush!
Babydes I'm kind of in the same place ... I really think I will be OK to have another girl (I think...) but I really, really want DH to have a son.
OH! You know what DD1 told me about DD2 peeing on the couch yesterday? "You can never trust a person in diapers, Mom." Excellent. I plan to apply that to my daily life. Because she's right. People who pee themselves can't be trusted. Anyhow DD2 is in a weird in between potty training stage where she doesn't want to wear diapers but also doesn't want to sit on the toilet, so we've had a lotta pee in a lotta places. Thank goodness this is a rental and my couch is slipcovered!

Hey girls,
I NEED your advice. So, DH has had some weird stuff lately. He had some inflammation with his balls 2 weeks ago and then a week ago he had a fever. Every once in a while I look at his sperm through a saliva microscope and I always see a lot of swimmers moving fast!
Yesterday, nothing, but a few ones swimming in circles chasing their tails. I have been reading online and there was a published journal showing that a fever can reduce sperm count about 35-65 percent. Dh was really sick for about one day. He definitely had a fever and we treated it with meds (of course, this is NOT boy friendly). :nails:
Anyway, I am feeling like his count is going to be low for a month or so because of all of this stuff. I am considering skipping a cycle so that he can recover. DH sees the logic in it, and according to the study, you need about 35-56 days to recover- which is about the time I will O next month.
I really want a :DS: this time! I wouldn't mind a girl if we did all we could, but I feel like trying this month would certainly end in BFN anyway and with such a low count, heavily sways girl. We are going to check tomorrow after a release to see if there are any swimmers, but I just don't want to see another month of BFN or conceive a girl if we could have skipped a month.
What do you think!?

June 15th, 2011, 10:27 AM
Spicy, i'd say maybe wait if you feel his count is low because if you go for it you may end up with regrets. You want to give it your all & then if you have a boy great & if it's a girl you can live knowing you did your best.
I say that i'm not too bothered about what i get but that isnt entirely true because if it was i wouldnt have swayed. I'm happy i've managed to get preg after a year so maybe that's why i'll be happy to have a healthy baby. A boy would be great because i'd love to have a mixed family, i also have to realistic that it's 50/50 chance

Spicy I say to give it your best shot I'd wait ... sperm count does have scientific studies showing higher does favor boys, so it is certainly one of the sway factors that is IMO more reliable. Keep us posted with what tonight shows! That is hilarious to me that you're oogling his swimmers under a microscope! That's serious business :-) And now I'm totally curious what my DH's would look like, LOL!
Babydes you're spot on... if we *truly* didn't care we wouldn't go through this. I do care. But I also think I won't have serious GD, which is why I say I'll be OK with another girl. I'll just have my FX for a boatload of grandsons.

Iluv- Congrats on your sisters little blue bean :) Back when I temped I would set an alarm so I took it at the same time each morning. I set it early so on weekends I could go back to sleep. I too do just what ttc5 said lol Thanks for the hairdryer clarification, I forgot the details but remembered getting yelled at lol
TTC5 - So when you going to test again???
Bec - Woohoo for O'ing on your own!! You never know, the green tea and fish oil may be doing it so definitely don't stop!
Tink - My inlaws criticize us like mad and think the earth revolved around dh's brother. Dh has a great career that he loves but since he's white collar they literally treat him like he's a fry cook at McDonald's, bil works construction and anything blue collar is better. Their house has leaky windows, mold in the basement and a bathroom I wouldn't use in an emergency but it's better then our house. Funny thing is my mil is about to get fired and they will probably loose their house before the year is up. Well guess who they are coming to for money(we won't give them any). My bil can't find work and has to borrow money from his inlaws to pay his mortgage, their marriage is falling apart and their kids are rotten. Yet somehow through all that we are still not as good. You just can't please some people.
That's a great start on the sups, and lol at 12-13 months.
Kris - no af means no one's out yet! fingers are still crossed for both of you.
Spicy - I think if you're that worried skip it. Wait a month and have the peace you did all you could.
Begonia - I joke too that hopefully I get grandsons. My in-laws lost their only dd to SIDS and now have 5 granddaughters and 1(fx2) grandson where my neighbor had 3 sons and 1 daughter and has all grandsons.
Baby - it feels a little hypocritical to say we don't really care what's cooking with all we did. I stand by that I don't care because I swayed instead of just leaving it up to chance again.
I guess we've been lucky as we've never gotten crap about having more kids except from my bil. He has the only boy and I know he wants it to stay that way. My parents don't say much about it but my in-laws have actually told us we can't stop till we have a boy. You know the keep it up till you get it right attitude
Starting to feel a little preg af being 2 wks late and all though I still check the tp every time I wipe. I'm having a few more food issues but nothing major yet, fx it stays this way. I swear I'm more tired everyday. How is it you forget this part? You'd think you'd remember yawning 24/7.

iluv, when are you testing?
I leave out of town on Monday morning so I figured I'd test Sunday Morning. Hey, it'd be a nice father's day present since Mother's day didn't work out for me. :) I don't think I'm prego at all, so I'm not in any rush to test. If I am I'm afraid my attitude might be a little less then desired since I did like no sway at all, it was doggy style the 2nd attempt is the best we did for sway and that means nothing. :) I wish I had just went to sleep that night before so I would've at least had a few days abstinence since we ended up DTD like CD12 & CD13, 1st + opk was CD15. The only symptoms is my tummy has been a little jacked up like little nausea and gassy (i hate saying that out loud) but I was sick and our friends kid was sick last week and now DS1 is running fever, so I'm just going with that as the cause and not reading into it.
I'm so happy I finally figured out how to use my spell check on this mac laptop! yay!

Princess the timing thing is so hard! I had an attempt this month and messed mine up because I did O early; I normally get a +OPK CD13, so was planning to BD that night and CD11 for an O-2 attempt. Well ended up doing my O-2 on CD11 as planned (after 4 day abstain) but then got my +OPK on CD12. So we just DTD again.
So are you wanting to do 2x? Or are you still hoping for a 1x on O day? If you're OK with 2x I would DTD tonight, and then you should get at least 48 hours abstaining in before an O day attempt. Really it just depends on if you're wanting 1x or 2, because if you're wanting 1x I'd hold out for the +OPK. I don't temp either but was using OPK's ... mine were fading in but went + much faster than they usually do this month.

I totally want to know, but DH doesn't, so we'll wait. But I REEEEEALLY want to know so am hoping we at least get a good nub shot I can drool over.

Which is totally reasonable and understandable. And I am completely unreasonable since I'm not even pregnant and I think about it. And today I'm really hoping I'm not pg. I really want to enjoy my girls trip in July.

This is our life in a nut shell, the earth revolves around my SIL and her failure of a life. She is a disaster but can do no wrong. It literlly blows my mind. My in-laws pay their rent. Neither of them work and she is pregnant yet again, with her 3rd boy! She really wanted a girl. Her husband is flat out rude. Treats everyone disrespectfully. Threw my FIL out of their house but they still treat her like she shits puppies and sunshine. Then my hard working husband who never asks for anything, when we bought our home my FIL goes "DUDE, what do you need to buy a house for" like it was the worst thing is the world to do. And yes having a mortgage in california does suck, but we aren't leaches and take handouts from them. When my DH bought me a car for my wedding gift my SIL and said cant you drive a "regular person car" I don't even know what that means. We work hard, and we play hard. they are lazy garbage. They just say the meanest stuff. My husband has no respect for his sister. She sits her kids in front of the TV all day long. Doesn't play or interact with them. She controls his parents like no other and they let her. DH thinks its disgusting. Now that they have moved and my MIL And FIL will soon be following my DH feels like they all are abandoning him and he hates them for it. I feel bad for DH. But he is a good hard working man and he doesn't need those shitty people around. Even know they are his family. It's sad because before SIL married her second loser husband she didn't suck at life so much. Her first husband really effed her up. Karma is a bitch though, her ex Best friend told me some really awesome things she did in the past few years that make me want to stick a fork in my brain and dig out my eye balls. I haven't even told my DH because i Don't want him to hate her even more. ehhh makes me want to bathe in something clean after thinking about them.
Someone tell me something awesome.

I used my last test this morning lol I caved haha

Why are you changing your supplements, did you have lots of ewcm? I remember you having great ph so why change it? You have to remember that one only has a 10-20% chance of falling preg each time you try so dont panic too much because it hasnt happened on your first attempt, it took me 1yr to get here. I'm not saying it will take you ages but just remember that if it fails this time it will happen soon & if you had great ph keep doing what you've been doing
I didn't have fab ewcm like others seem to get so thinking of dropping l arginine wish I knew that sooner!!

Iluv - congrats on becoming an auntie again- are you guys identical or fraternal?
Babydes- What a bad friend wishing that - we all get jealous sometimes but really we should want our friends to be happy shouldn't we? I hope it is a boy just to annoy her LOL

Hey girls,
I NEED your advice.
I would skip a month.

Tink - my bil is a world class a-hole but my mil thinks he's funny and clever. I know I'll be karmically punished for it at some point but I take a little too much joy in his wife's ever expanding ass. I've really got nothing against her other then everything she does is sweet and wonderful and if I do the same thing it completely doesn't count. My mil broke her leg and had to have surgery a couple years back and I was there 8hrs a day, 5 days a week for 4 weeks changing her adult diapers, helping bathe her cleaning and making everyone dinner. Sil shows up one day for about an hour and sits on the couch the entire time and mil tells everyone how we both took such good care of her. My parents always treated me and my sister the same so I don't understand the obvious favoritism, it's so cruel.

LOL @ ever expanding ass!! That is the best thing I have heard all day!! When i offered to throw a surprise 40th anniversary party for my in-laws at our house. I told SIL in-law about it. We were both pregnant. Little did I know about her major jealousy issues them. They were starting to surface. She was like yeah, ya sounds good we can just do it at my house it's easier that way. (plus it's not easier, she is just lazy and serves everything on Tupperware. Not how I roll) I said no, that's ok, Keith and I would like to do it at our house. She was soo annoyed with me because she wanted all the credit for this party. It was so weird. I was just trying to do something nice. Because my MIL and had mentioned no one has ever made a big fuss over them being married for as long as they had. So I made a fuss. MY LORD did that bother SIL!! And as I do on ever event I host at my house I set my table up nicely and decorate. When she walked in she made some rude comments "its just 40 years, you didn't need to go all out" I just had my nice china out and some flowers on the table it's not like I had it catered. She just isn't use to it, because she serves Christmas dinner to her guests on paper plates and Tupperware...no offense to anyone but it's just not how I was raised. I use paper plates daily..just not when I am hosting a nice dinner. It's just irritates me. I wanna kick her in her no no spot.

Rg64AG some brands work and some don't if you're using strips ... I bought some on a roll and had no luck, but the pHion brand worked well for me. Search for them on ebay. Some other ladies use the hanna pH meter. Good luck!

See begonia my dh got the same marriage bonus, he's loved, accepted and treated the same as my sister and I by my parents. His childhood was so bad with his parents he calls my dad to boast about a great meeting or a new client he landed. He cares more about what my dad has to say then his own family. I think it's so sad the only parental approval he gets is from his in-laws but, on the other hand, I'm so glad he gets it from somewhere.
Speaking of the hanna pH monitor I've got one I'm looking to get rid of!

Cheekymoo, yay for starting your attempt month.
Spicy, I would probably skip a month. If you went ahead and conceived a girl you would be forever wondering 'what if?'.
Babydes, exactly right. We're not doing all this for the fun of it.
3PNB, must be nice to be feeling preg. The tiredness is so much worse when you have other kids to chase after. Well it was for me anyway. I need to get a ph monitor but being in different countries I don't think it's worth me buying it off you? Would cost a bit to post I'd think?
iluv, hmm could very well be prayer. I'll keep it up :) And shh on the Clomid swaying girls, and multiples! Sheesh, don't know if I could handle that.
Begonia, I know it's crazy right. I wake up in the morning wondering if anyone has posted about BFPs or other exciting stuff. Sometimes I think I'm crazy for joining here so many months before our actual attempt because I'm going to become an obsessed crazy lady!
Princess, I'm not sure what I would do about timing, it's a tricky one.
Tink and 3PNB, that's some messed up family stuff. My inlaws aren't on my list to win any family medals or anything either. My DH didn't have the nicest childhood either but it makes him stronger. He treats our kids so differently to the way he was brought up and has so much love for them. He doesn't want them to miss out on the things he did.
Petey's girl, welcome :)
TTC5, I knew you would cave ;) I wonder whats up with the temps and no AF and BFN? What sensitivity are the ones you're using? Think I am going to cross L-arg off my list now. No one has anything good to say about it. Will your DH still take it?
Well, my temps are up this morning so it's looking like I did O. I wish I had of had some OPKs at the time. I've ordered some for next time. My EWCM wasn't as good as I would have hoped so I'm going to really focus on that for now.

I just used my ovulation saliva microscope and it works! I checked again last night and it was very bare. I saw a few swimmers, when usually I see thousands! Sadly, I do think the fever killed his guys. We are going to take a break this cycle. It means we won't qualify for maternity leave as I am going to have to leave my job at the end of the year for a move, but we just think that a baby is forever and we won't care about these little things in 10-15 years.
I can't guarantee that his sperm will be up to health even by next month, but August and September should be OK.
I have a question about the Ig style diet. Has anyone done it for more than 6 months? We feel fine on it, and truthfully, it seems safer than the ig girl diet. You eat a lot of calories, vegetables, meat, etc, just little dairy (which most of the world doesn't consume anyway).
I think we might stick on it for an extra months and take a break around the holidays (if we aren't pg by then!!!). What do you think?
I am strict about the diet in the sense that we don't eat dairy, but I don't count calcium and magnesium ( I almost certainly go over mg levels since it is impossible to stay under 200!).

So ladies need advice.... when AF starts full flow (decided not to start my supps today until i know it is AF just in case) I'm starting supps/diet again but question is.. I had 2 weeks off during tww would I be ok to attempt in July or should I miss and try in August give it a bit longer???
Do you mean that you haven't been dieting during the 2ww? I would go for August to give minerals a chance to get into your system.

This makes sense, but as long as you could wait till August....

Spicy, I answered in your other thread, but I think a break is suggested from the IG diet because one of the focuses is on sodium and potassium intake. And you shouldn't have too much over a long period of time.
