Scan was great! We actually got bumped a week ahead so I am almost 14 weeks now. Well looks like boy 4 for us! Classic boy nub. The tech wouldn't guess. She asked if we would find out, if the boys expected something different, and if they wanted a brother. After watching the scan it looked total boy to me. The dr asked if the tech even guessed, I said no. I don't know why she didn't if it is so obviously a boy! We told the kids it may be another brother and my oldest started crying. He wants a sister so bad, but he will come around.

Congrats Acason, glad baby was all well....
Are any of you ladies going for 16 week u/s? I'm taking my sister as a bonding experience, but obviously still expecting them to say boy, despite my mum continually telling me she thinks they were wrong about it being a boy... then I had a conversation with a friend who was told boy at her NT scan, to be told girl at 20 weeks (I didn't think that even happened anymore???) I just want 100% confirmation so I know for sure.... I dont even care which gender anymore!

Congratulations Acason27. Four boys is not so bad our fourth is the biggest ham, he is always making the others laugh. Remember it is okay to be disappointed, I was initially too when I found out I was carrying our fourth. Congrats again :)

I am getting a 15 week elective scan on May 23rd. I really want to know for sure it is a girl and I love seeing the baby when they are so little on uls. Plus they will do some anatomy stuff so we are doing a 15 week uls and will tell more friends after that scan.

I have a standard 20 wk anatomy scan end of June. Can't wait for that as it means half way there! This already feels like the longest pregnancy ever! Maybe cause I'm so much more worn out this time.
Coocoo hope your able to move your scan up a few days so your hubby can be there! It's so nice to have that bonding with your partner when you see what a beautiful thing you have created together.

Thanks ladies! 24 hours later and I am super exited now! I feel like from the start my GD wasn't going to be as bad, since this one wasn't planned. I knew whatever this LO was was meant to be, because I have absolutely no idea when it happened haha! My anatomy scan is June 24. I am so ready to get this boy confirmed so we can start shopping! I gave away all our newborn stuff so I am excited to get this baby brand new stuff :)

Oh I'm jealous of decorating! We are out of room the joke in our house is this baby will be sleeping in a drawer. I have no place to put any infant stuff at this point so it will stay packed away until end baby is due!
We are saving up to hire an architect to start working on plans for a remodel but I also have to save for the time I take off and I can only save so much in the next few months.
Sigh everything costs so much!

I've been super MIA. Sorry gals! I swayed hard for a boy, with diet even using preseed and testing ovulation for 6 months. Today I had my anatomy scan and baby wasn't cooperating. So they weren't able to see the sex of the baby. It kinda worries me because If they don't see the turtle shape or penis in the slightest, maybe it's ANOTHER GIRL?! Ugh. I have to go pay for a 3d ultrasound now because my next scan isn't until I'm 36 weeks! Boooo. Anyone know of babies that the ultrasound tech wasn't able to tell at first, but then later ended up being a boy?? I'm still hopeful!

Peebell my older 2 boys have a 25 month gap and my middle/youngest about an 18 month gap. They are all so close! This new little one will be probably a 16 or so month gap from the youngest. My older two are the best of friends and do everything together! Also I have been totally MIA lately. First we had a stomach virus go through the house, then a busy week of work and my husbands birthday, now a nasty cold has hit everyone except my DH. I also put in notice with my full time job and decided to go back to being a SAHM for awhile. Starting in July. I have an online job that pays pretty good so I really don't need the work outside of the house. It is hard work being with the kiddos but I am excited!

Coocoo that is sweet that your DH tells you to set up a cleaning service. My DH is gone all the time. Usually 5-7 days sometimes longer and then he is home for that long too. Sometimes I feel like the Mom and the Dad... cleaning the house, fixing things that break, mowing the lawn, etc. I can't complain much though cause I get to stay home and not work and he is home and doesn't have to work at all for long stretches.
Two days till gender scan... why am I freaking out??

Mrs incredible I was wondering if you had a link to your sway. Both the before the loss and what you did after. I am having difficulty in figuring out what to do for mine. I had a perfect kitchen sink sway and while I am scared to drop things I am more scared not to.

May 21st, 2014, 12:11 PM
Coocoo, fantastic that your hubby thinks like that! Are you still managing to stay team green!? I go from welling up with emotions at the tgought the test might mean I'm having a daughter, to buying pink then feeling silly "just in case", to feeling positive and happy, then thinking of the gender scan and feeling terrified!
Wanting pink ^^^^ i think it's how we're all feeling, scared the scan shatters the dream. You'll be fine tho. Can't wait for scan pics!
Rosie, I'm going to post my "laid back sway" as atomic says! It was far from a sway but was the best i could manage. I think the mc and feeling ill during the last pg (effectively ate little) with one attempt made the difference for me. But at my nt scan it didn't surprise me when she said the turtle potty shot looked too far out, i didn't think my lazy sway warranted me hearing girl

Tomgirl I go from having energy, mowing the lawn, cleaning the house, to being completely wiped out (probably because I just did all those things). Yesterday was not a good day. I was baking cookies for DS2 teacher and ate some of the cookie dough and got really sick (morning sickness). I know better than that!! Had to take a Zofran which is only the 2nd time I have taken one this PG. I will not be doing that today:)

Mrs I, I know how you are feeling!! One minute you are happy and looking a little girl clothes and the next minute you are scared to tell anyone and the next minute you wish you hadn't said anything to anyone about it being a girl because then you will look like a fool if it isn't.
I was the same way with DD1. After my MIL telling me that "Dean men can't make girls" and not doing a real sway I thought it wasn't possible to have a girl. If I had a 12 week uls where the tech thought it was a boy then it would have been worse. I found out at 12 weeks (MaterniT21) and from 12 weeks to 15 weeks (gender scan) I was a mess. I wanted to tell people I was having a girl but then thought it was too good to be true and telling people would jinx it. My SIL kept telling me I am having a girl cause she saw it in a dream?? Everyone was getting my hopes up and I was so scared they would come crashing down. When we told my MIL it was a girl she was speechless. She seriously didn't say anything for at least a good minute. Then she said "how is that possible"? Then she said "Oh I wish we would have tried for a third" which made me really sad cause I know how much she wanted a daughter.
I am kind of having those same feelings with this one but they aren't as exaggerated. I feel more confident that it is possible to have a girl and my diet and life were very similar to DD1.
What day is your gender scan?

I would love to have someone come in and clean that would be awesome! I work about 25 hrs a week and do a lot of the cleaning and laundry, cooking. Lately though I find it hard to muster the energy to do much. I have been ravenous this pregnancy which is new for me. With my boys I always had a ton of energy and just felt great didn't have a huge appetite just normal.
This pregnancy I HAVE to eat and eat like I've never eaten and then I just want to nap, I wake up and then need to eat and then just want to go back to bed. Of course I don't cause I have to get the kids and go to work but geez I think I could just have an IV put in and sleep this entire pregnancy!

What day is your gender scan?
It's next Friday, dragging in already! I've not spoken with my in laws after a fall out 4+ years ago! although dh is trying to rebuild bridges with them. They've never seen the boys all that time although that was a decision we took for the good of our family and I stand by that. However, they will take great pleasure in me never having a daughter as during the 10 years I was around them it was no secret I wanted a daughter. My mil had 3 boys and couldn't have any more kids, and she admitted once that her friends convinced her her 3rd son was a girl. You would think she would have had empathy for me with 2 boys at that point, I was so glad I didn't have to listen to the snide remarks when I had ds3. Her other 2 boys had GGGB & G.
I was sooo excited on Saturday, couldn't wait to tell dh but managed to wait til the boys were in bed! Hardly slept Saturday night, couldn't wait to tell the boys and my parents and sister. I literally couldn't have kept it to myself I was so excited I was about to burst. It was after that I came back down with a bang and realised there was a minute chance of error. I felt normal (lol) again and wished I hadn't told everyone. Then i read the thread the maternit21 wrong gender thread. Timing sucked.
However after paying all that money, surely I am right to trust in the science ;) ??! Xx

I can work up to 40 hrs a week if task are available and it's totally flexible. I could work at 3am as long as there are task. It is a 6 month contract basis and if quality is good they renew you. I just got renewed for another 6 months so that encouraged me to stay home full time. DH may get a promotion this year/ next year so if that happens, he would be making more. Now today we are going to get our new car after work, a minivan! Need more room with baby 4 on the way!

Why is it when I am PG I want to eat crappy?? I hate that when I am PG I want Taco Bell, french fries, ice cream? I can't have any of that cause of my morning sickness but that doesn't stop me from eating poorly. Yesterday I had scrambled eggs with cheese, then chicken nuggets (the boys had this for dinner), and then chocolate chips?? What is wrong with me!!

Happy June Ladies!
How is everyone feeling? We have all been so quite lately. My lil sis had her baby a couple days ago. She had gone team green believing it was her 3rd boy but holding a bit of hope for a girl. Well she had her 3rd boy. She is happy and loves him to bits but is sad she will never have her girl as they are done. She asked if she could pick out my go home outfit for our baby girl. I told her of course she could. She jokes that this will be our shared girl since we are very close so she will have a close relationship with our girl.
As for me I'm still completely exhausted at 16 weeks but trying hard to keep exercising. I'm having a hard time saying no to Gluten and therefore my whole body is puffy and swollen from it. Ugh why do I want so much that is bad for me? I always have will power of steel when it comes to food but with this baby NONE at all! haha
Would love to hear how everyone is doing :)

Tomgirl, I'll be sharing my daughter with my sister too! She had her miracle son in January this year, she was told she was infertile, long term diabetic etc. he is just perfect. Although she's lucky and grateful to have him, she would have loved a girl too deep down.
Well, I'm still a bit shocked to be team pink. As your all aware I was so sure this was boy 4 for us, and it's not sunk in yet. Once I feel her moving i will feel better, and more real too. Now I can look and buy girl stuff without the doubt hanging over me I'm a bit scared! Feeling so much better now, I'm 16+4 today. Although I'm not eating as much as I should. Lack of appetite although if something's put down to me I can eat it, just don't think about food for myself just now. Time will start to fly in, kids finish school this month, holiday next, uniforms and ds3 starting nursery in August, then baby countdown along with Christmas shopping all before baby arrives in November. I think I need a nap now, it's going to be full speed ahead in the run up to baby arriving. I also want to clear out every cupboard, storage, junk in the house prior to baby arriving, as I'm still playing catch up from when ds3 arrived almost 3 years ago.
How's everyone else doing? Xx

Hi, ladies!
I'm so sorry for being completely MIA for awhile now. Things have been so, so unbelievably busy for us. In a nutshell, besides things like our kids and work keeping us very busy, we've decided that our house is just too small for 4 kids and so we've made a big push to get it sold. Long story short, we've signed a contingency contract to build a new house (yay!) but that means we have to get our house on the market to sell ASAP. We are lucky enough to be able to stay in the in-law apartment above my parents' house for incredibly cheap while we sell our existing house and while the new one is being built. So, we have been crazy busy moving our family into this little apartment. Oh, and did I mention there's no air conditioning in the apartment? :sigh: Not fun!
Anyway, I need to go back and catch up on all the old posts - I'm curious to hear what you ladies have been up to! :) I'll leave you with one last update before I go - I had a private scan this weekend and was utterly shocked to find out that we are having a GIRL! I just can't believe it! No sway whatsoever, except looking back, I do see some girly things that went on right before conceiving (lots of stress from going back to work, constant breastfeeding/pumping day and night, lack of sleep due to the baby, crazy irregular cycle, only 2 times DTD in the fertile window after a long abstain, J&D, little to no meat especially red meat, etc). I didn't really do the LE diet this time, definitely didn't skip breakfast, and wasn't exercising. I suppose I was a *little* more girl-friendly than I've been in the past, but nothing like my last sway. I feel as though it was just all in God's plan, and I am so, so humbly thankful! :awe:

Congrats again sweet pea!
Our house is too small for 4 too but we moved rooms around and now we have 4 bedrooms but no extra room (was the playroom but they didn't play in it much)
So this will do for now:)
My husband is still away And just finished painting the rooms before he left for 12 days so I've been trying to move things back into their new places but hard to do when I can't move furniture or hang shelves! Oh, and being exhausted from parenting alone! I'm just worried I'm not going to see the mess anymore with it being around so long and becoming part of the background!!
Ms incredible, where do you live? My kids school ends June 20... Oh wait that is this month!! Holy crap! Anyway, but they don't go back til

coocoo, 4 bedrooms is great! Our house only has 3 (very tiny) bedrooms. It's just time to get something bigger. The funny thing is, all 5 of us are squished into ONE bedroom for now, so it's quite interesting, LOL! It's only temporary though, so we're okay with it. :)

I'm finding I'm in that annoying stage of pregnancy where I hate the feeling of clothes tight on my belly. I can no longer button pants and pretty much hate the feeling of anything on me unless it's a dress and flows. I'm not quite big enough for maternity clothes but nothing fits well. How's everyone else doing with what to wear?

Oh that sucks G!!!!
For us having 4 I'm not sure how others are going out in public with all and a preggo belly... But I'm a little self conscious *sigh* I just feel all eyes on me, in fact I see people take a double take. I'm working on 'owning it' but going into it accidentally I think I just don't have the same backbone I think I would have if I had made a conscious decision to have 4! It's a great thing as I am learning to be more like my hubby and not care what other people think. He tells me 'who's business is it if we have 4 or 8? If they say something about it, they're probably just jealous!'
... Not sure about jealous, but I do know I'm lucky for sure!! I've never known what I wanted to 'be' when I grew up, I still don't! All I've ever known is I wanted to be a mom! And now I get to do it times 4!!:)
Anyway, my friend sent me this great article and it's funny that she just sent it seeing I was talking to another friend of mine with 4 about being self conscious in public with all of them. So thought I would share:)

It does suck. It put me in a mood. At one point she said she thought it was a girl, but I saw nothing at all to indicate that. The baby's legs were shut as tight as they could be. Couldn't see in between them at all. I'm still debating on going for an elective. There's a place here that charges $90 for gender determination.

Oh Coocoo I so needed that article!! Thank you!! I am starting to show and have had to start wearing maternity tops. I don't really look PG just kind of look like I am really not loosing that baby weight. I am really self conscious if I have all the kids with me for some reason. One of my neighbors found out I was PG (from another neighbor) and she has three boys. We were all talking and it came up that I am having another baby (girl) and she looked at me and said "oh ya congrats btw" and then quickly changed the subject. Of coarse makes me think that she thinks I am bat shit crazy for having another, so close together, and we are old. I have another neighbor who is so excited and happy (she has a 1YO) she gave me this awesome and amazing Phil and Ted double stroller and keeps texting me saying how happy she is. Not sure out other people but I seem to be getting this kind of polar response. Either so excited and happy or the are you crazy response.
I am actually getting excited and I don't want others to be a buzz kill. School we be out soon and next fall I will show up with DS1 (3rd grade), DS2 (kindergarten), DD who will be turning one, and I will be big and prego and I am dreading it!! Not so much because I really care what people think but I have a really hard time holding my tongue when someone says something I find offensive. I tend to fire back and that tends to get multiplied when you are talking about my kids and I am PG.

I had a 2nd gender rescan today. Because I didn't get a potty shot I emailed them, they don't do potty shots, but offered me a free rescan. Went with my sister, it was lovely seeing my daughter (eek!) again!! I know! Where is everyone? I guess we are all back to regular life with no scans or that kinda thing going on?!
I had my first gender dream last night. I woke up sure it was true! I went to my u/s and I saw a penis and they said its a boy and I was like 'no, I was sure it was going to be a girl!!!' It was really upsetting lol! This reinforces that I need to stay team green although I fear I have my hopes up for something that may not happen!!
I think I had the dream because my mom is really pushing for me to stay team green as she said it will be wonderful! I remind her that that is indeed what I want but I don't want to worry about her being disappointed if I take a peek today if that's what I want (she's a bit passive aggressive and I end up basing my decisions off her feelings) which at 37 is really starting to bother me lol!
I tell her it is a lot different for me than her to wait. If I had a boy and girl like she did, that not finding out would be a lot easier seeing I could honestly go in excited about either gender! But I have 3 of 1 gender, of course I want it to be an opposite suprise but I go back and forth with what is better for me!
All I know is last time I was so sad and I now know I will feel that way again as I def have my hopes up a bit from my nub shot! I wish I didn't and I have really being trying hard to dash my hopes lol! But it's there:(
Anyway, I am rambling, holy over thinker lol!!!

Coocoo, I hoe you did what was best for you today at your scan, it's a shame your mum is putting more pressure on you to suit her wants. I'm like you too Coocoo, I really take on my mums feelings on things, I think thats fairly natural... Do you think you'll really suffer with GD with another boy? I'd be inclined to find out earlier so you have time to adjust.... But thats just me... I know you want to stay team green.
I've been suffering terrible anxiety this pregnancy. I've had it for years and last pregnancy it went away but this pregnancy its returned, with a vengeance... It isnt an easy thing to battle thru especially with a toddler aswell.... Ahwell I'll keep soldering on.

He couldn't get a profile shot so I may have to go
Back if dr wants to know about the nasal bone. I'm bummed though as we paid 10 bucks for pics and that are all pretty lame:/ the profile is the best and we didn't get one:( oh well he scanned for a good 1/2 hour at least and my hubby secretly filmed some of it (we aren't allowed to film either lol)

Hey girls! It is really quiet on here! I am going for my appointment with the specialist today. I have a lot of mixed feelings about trying for a vba2c but I hope that he can help answer some of my questions! I don't know how exactly he would determine whether I am a candidate or not....maybe an u/s and I will get another peek at our little guy!
So, completely unrelated but I still get a big smile thinking about it. I dropped my son off at daycare this morning (he will be 2 in July) and one of the other kids in his "class" was being dropped off at the same time - she got all excited when she saw him and vice versa - he is apparently quite the ladies' man lol! Anyway, she started to get upset when her mom was leaving and Evan gave her a hug and then grabbed her hand and took her into the play area! It was SOOOOOO adorable!! I just totally melted!!

We have our 20 Week ultrasound in two weeks. I am very nervous as the placenta is anterior which puts me at risk for placenta accreta (where the placenta grows into the scar of a previous C-section). If that happens there is a very high likelihood that I would have to have a hysterectomy. I guess it is a relatively low number of anterior placentas that do that... he indicated something like maybe 10% or so. Still... 10% chance of a hysterectomy is freaking me out. Anyone know anything about this or had a friend who went through this? I should probably post this in a separate thread.

The placenta needs to be anterior & low to cause accreta. If you don't also have placenta previa or a low lying placenta, it's incredibly unlikely

Hi ladies. It's been quiet here. I hope everyone is doing well. I go for my elective scan on Saturday. Of course I'm nervous again. I'm prepared to hear that it's a girl, but I still have my fingers and toes crossed that it's a baby boy.

Oh exciting Ghoulina! I have another scan on Friday but not to chk gender! Hope we both see only what we want to see!!

Oh my... FX for you Ghoulina!! Please post an update... I really hope you hear boy!!
Thanks girls... I know it isn't likely that the placenta is low it is just on my mind constantly. Can't wait until the 20 week ultrasound. I haven't been feeling any movement which is a first for me. Does not feeling any movement correlate to placenta location? Hoping that means it is higher than lower.
coocoobananas
June 17th, 2014, 01:11 AM
Have you never had an anterior placenta wanting?
It is sooo much diff then posterior! This time I felt tiny flutters here and there but at 20 weeks I think is when I started feeling consistent movement! Wayyy later than my 1 posterior, bit of a bummer:(
WantingPink
June 17th, 2014, 01:43 AM
No I haven't had an anterior placenta before. They have all been posterior except for this one. This not feeling the baby move is really unsettling. I have been using a doppler once a week to make sure everything is okay. I don't like this anterior placenta thing!!

June 17th, 2014, 01:52 AM
I had an anterior placenta with DS6 and hardly felt any movements. I didn't like it either!
Mrs_Incredible
June 17th, 2014, 02:21 AM
Me too wanting, 2nd anterior placenta that i know about, with my first 2 I was pretty clueless! Im 18+5 and getting the odd kick/movement daily but can't 'make' her move. Using Doppler once a day for peace of mind when I've not felt any sensation that day. Gutted, love that part of pregnancy xx
WantingPink
June 17th, 2014, 03:23 PM
I wish I felt an occasional kick. I haven't really felt anything yet. Baby was moving at the 15 week uls. I guess this is common for anterior placenta but I don't like it at all. Makes me think something is wrong but I know it is fine. I hope it is a sign the placenta is higher than lower.
coocoobananas
June 17th, 2014, 04:26 PM
I'm bummed mine is anterior again as I want my boys to get to experience all the kicking! I think they will more than I thought but it's still a bit dissapointing! I mean, 3 out of 4 pregnancies anterior?! So weird!!
On another note, I have such dry skin on my forehead lol! I've never had that before~weird! Oh and I still can't believe I'm pregnant again even now lol! It's not that I don't notice, I think its cause there was absolutely no plans for it to happen! I guess the shock still hasn't worn off!!

Had my 20 week scan today, and got to see a 3D view of my darling boy's face... oh did my heart melt. He is simply adorable, and looks SO much like his brother already which is great, my son is a bit of a looker (yes yes I'm biased but he really is - takes after his father of course). But baby is looking healthy and perfect which is such a relief. I've seen a lot of babies/children with disability lately and it really had me worried. I am soooooo super excited to hold him now.

Fantastic peebell! Its wonderful seeing a sneak preview isn't it! Think it really helps us bond with our unborn baby :) xx
19 weeks tomorrow. It's going quite quickly now. Getting a bit of movement but placenta is definitely in the way. Did feel a wee one from the outside last night.
I've forgotten to take my prenatal supp regularly these past few weeks. Could that affect my buba past 16 week mark? Mad at myself xx

I'm starting like I might crack and want to find out ladies!!! I could potentially find out Friday but I am trying to remind myself that I have always wanted a delivery room suprise!! I feel like I've seen enough clues (looking obsessively through my u/s that I may just get a girl... But that is all from my knowledge and no one else's so I could be totally wrong!! And I will be sad if I hear boy again:(
Should I try to stick it out??? Arrhh! I know it's ultimately up to me but I just keep wavering and don't know which is better!! My grandma turns 96 in August and I'd love for her to know if I finally get a girl as she thinks it is seeing it was a big oops! But my moms opinion on having me wait is in the back of my mind too dang it... No matter how hard I try not to care lol!!

Coocoo are you okay with not having things beforehand if it's a girl? If so then I think wait. Think how magical it would be hearing girl in the delivery room. It takes a lot of willpower and heck I don't know if I will actually be able to hold out either. My friends said if I have a girl they would throw me a shower and I'm afraid if I do team green they won't want to do the shower anymore.

June 19th, 2014, 10:22 AM
Fwiw I'm really enjoying knowing its a girl, sharing the news with people when i bump into them, pink shopping when out and about, spending time anticipating meeting her and preparing her things (like i did with the boys) whereas going team green would mean doing all this prep and shopping exhausted with a newborn just before Xmas! This is why i always find out. And this time i get to buy pink which is an amazing bonus :) I feel its spreading the special moments over 26 weeks and im loving every minute. (Although with 20 week scan approaching i do worry they'll find a turtle despite harmony and 2 gender scans :-o !!) xxx

I know!!!both ways sound lovely (that is if it is a girl) that's what's so hard... But if it isn't... That's what I'm so afraid of!!
I do think if it is a girl what a bummer it would be to not have decorated the room a bit or get to tell mosey strangers when I have 3 boys that it is a girl. Maybe at the scan tomorrow, if it looks like no penis is present then I'll ask to know lol! My husband would like to find out so there's that too! I asked him though if he's willing to deal with the fallout if it is a boy... He didn't know quite how to answer:/

June 19th, 2014, 12:29 PM
I think it helped that i was set to find out early, because i was set on the harmony testing (not for gender, that was a bonus!) I truly expected to hear boy too. I don't think i could have coped with the shock at birth, seriously i would have been too shocked to function and enjoy the moment. Good luck at your scan, and with your decision to find out or not! :) Xx

I have a feeling you will find out tomorrow Coocoo.... I'm excited we finally came up with a cheap solution for our small house and not enough bedrooms problem. We were going to do a big remodel next year which stressed me out so instead my dad and cousin are going to help us build a bedroom for our teenager in the garage. It gives him his own bedroom and solves our problem of where to put everyone for now and it's cheap! Yay for easy solutions.

Scan went well. For a detailed scan it was very quick. She thought it was a girl but couldn't say 100%. She said she thought it was the cord between the legs, wft!!? I certainly would need a gender scan as it was very vague! Luckily I've had 2! Lets just say she lacked personality and warmth, a data person! Had her before at 6 weeks and she was the same then, considering I'd had a mc the month before she very uncaring or empathetic.
Baby was very well behaved except for gender reveal. She was very cute and i just cant wait for cuddles :) xx

Peebell it really is the cheapest solution! I would love to do a big remodel I just don't want to financially overstretch ourselves with a new baby and knowing we can do our project for so cheap to create another bedroom well it's just a win win for everyone. Also it means I get to keep the nursery a nursery but just make it girlie for the first time EVER!!!

Looks like the placenta has grown over my C-section scar but so far it hasn't grown into it so that is good news as well (for now). I made my announcement on FB! I put my avatar in the picture and some people still asked what I was having! All positive comments though even before I said it was pink! Everybody was really excited then so that was nice:)
I keep waking up in the morning with pain on my right almost at the same level of my belly button. All I can think of is it must be a limb?? But it takes forever to settle down so really not sure:/
I'm scared if it is a limb because if theres already not enough room in there,it's going to get worse as I get bigger:/

Me too coocoo, I check several times a day. Started chatting on the dec thread as this is so quiet!! Dh felt the baby kick a few times tonight. Think it made it feel more real for him. I feel as if it's flying in now. My placenta is front but to the right so hoping I will get more movement that I originally thought. On my fb due in board one of the babies was born sleeping today. So scary. The little kicks I felt tonight felt all the more special,if that's possible. I measured my bump today and it's 3-4" smaller than I was with ds3.
So glad your fb announcement went down well! I've loved all the hype knowing gender and enjoying it so early, after birth I'll be too busy to enjoy it, I'll be so busy with my little girl and army of princes. Still doesn't feel real. Can't believe she is on her way. Trying not to worry though but the pg does feel more fragile. We are going on holiday in a few weeks so starting packing so that I don't get too stressed. Got a chest infection just now so a couple of days at home taking it easy is on the cards. Not so easy with my kids off school and my tornado toddler. He doesn't know what to be up to next!
Do you think we should start a new thread so that we can update the dd list with everyone's info? Hope ncbeachy (sp!) is ok. She's not been around for such a long time.
Xx

Sure! We can do that I think:) would be nice to see what everyone is having!
My placentas front too but I feel plenty now so I'll know if something's up if there's no movement! I don't think I felt anything totally consistent until after 20 weeks! I say 'she's kicking' but I feel like I'm lieing or showing off when I say it out loud... So strange. Like I've become a mber of this club that I don't belong in! Lol
I am funny too, little sad I'm not an only boys mom anymore...although this is what I always wanted so I'm sure I'll adjust;)
Maybe let's try to just say hi everytime we come on even if that's all we can think of to say and maybe it will stir up the thread a little:)
I also speak up sometimes in the other due date threads as I read a lot of them anyway!!

I feel like a fraud saying her/she/girl too!!! Or like you say a show off! It just doesn't seem real after 3 boys. Have you bought much yet? We're off to turkey soon so hoping to get some cute pink things there too. Finny thing is last year i was buying bits for my nephew when we were there. Didn't for a minute imagine I'd be buying pink a year later :) xx
