Hi sweetdream and oncue! I was just telling the Feb2ww ladies that I was gonna start a new thread but glad to see this!!

I should be 1dpo tomorrow... waiting to see what my temp looks like in the morning. This is the 5th month ttc for us after going off bcp 6 months ago. I thought it would be easy because I got pregnant so easily in the past. I also have 2 dds like you oncue and am looking fwd to giving them a baby brother this year or early next year. FX for all of us!!!

How many DPO is it worth POAS? I'm on metformin so my cycles have been quite regular and this is our first month trying. I'm due to get my period on 3/16. Our anniversary is 3/11 so it would be amazing to celebrate a pregnancy!!!

With both of my boys, I never knew exactly when I ovulated so i just tested when I realized I was late.

9/10DPO is the earliest it makes sense to start testing, really. By 14DPO you are very likely to see a BFP if you are pregnant. But many will see a BFP by 12DPO. Hope that helps. :)

Hi, ladies! Hoping to hear lots of good news in mid-March!

Hi, Yogi! Welcome back.

I'm 3dpo. I'm feeling better this cycle because I'm seeing better signs of being fertile after getting off birth control pills. The first week is usually pretty good for me but I'm always on pins and needles by 8dpo. Hopefully I can relax a bit this cycle. I hear it can take up to a year to conceive after bcp :worry:

Hi, Yogi! Welcome back.

Hi MIka,

Yey so happy to hear from you. You are way ahead of me. I for some very weird reason am still spotting but I think it may be because of the antibiotics im on because of my root canal and or the epo. I didint temp this month or cervix check and have been having coffee almost every morning which is not good for blue swaying lol. I am using my cbfm monitor though. Today it read high so I think im ok so far.

I honestly think that it is weird with the bcp and I also think age has somewhat to do with it. I tell u from experience with my first two daughter's I conceived right away after birth control. First daughter was coming off the depo provera shot. I was pregnant exactly at the month it wears off. With my second daughter, I was pregnant while on birth control. I was on the patch and lost my patch maybe in a pool or came off I don't recall but I became pregnant that week I did not have the patch. With my last DD, I had been off bcp for almost a year and almost immediately I stopped having a period because of my weight; I am almost positive. I am exactly in the same boat as you. I stopped bcp exactly in September of 2013. I did however start drinking Fertility Blend from GNC as soon as I stopped bcp and I am very sure that I am fertile mertile, just havent hit the jack pot. I still am because I am afraid if I stop I will begin to not see any more periods :(. But I think you are doing great and I don't see why you shouldn't get your bfp soon! I hope we get our bfp's together. We have been having almost the same cd's and ovulation. Plus we also started trying around the same time too! I am so excited for us. :bighug:

Hello everyone! I'm CD19 and praying for pink!
I have 3 gorgeous boys already.

Will you find out the gender at 2nd scan or will you keep it a surprise until the end?

Good luck everyone!

MIka1104
March 7th, 2014, 11:38 AM
Yogi, I hope the spotting stops soon. Sounds like you are right behind me. I have 27-28 day cycles. My last cycle was like 24 days, which was weird. I made an appt with my gyn so hopefully everything is ok. Seems to be because I'm pretty regular. I was on the pill for 6 years, until dh and I felt it is a good idea to try for a 3rd child. I was actually just too nervous to try again because of GD. I know that I only want 3 kids so this is my last try for a boy. I'm 33 so I thought it would still be pretty easy to conceive right away like before but at least I've had more time to prepare, work out and save money.

Hi, laVie...PLEASE take ALL my pink dust!! FX for you! Once I fall pregnant, I want to find out the gender as soon as possible so I can get used to the idea of having a 3rd daughter!

Hey ladies!
14dpo here, last cycle AF arrived at 15 dpo,and i'm afraid of testing, i don't want a dissapointment every month when not pregnant.
Skin broke out, some twinges in the ligaments, no AF like cramps.
Had that at 6 dpo heavily.. Weird..
I'm counting on AF to arrive, just to be safe ; )
Goodluck waiting, girls!

Checking in again! 8DPO and a BFN this morning. Not surprised but I am actually feeling some symptoms. It's probably mental but who knows! Hoping to get that line tomorrow because it's our anniversary!

Which test is the most accurate? I bought one that says it can detect 6 days before a missed period. Thank you!

Hello gals, im CD#14 & don't know what is going on with this cycle :( Did not do many supplements this month. Only folic acid, & vitamin e. Sorry tmi but it looks like im getting my usual yeast infection that comes with taking antibiotics. I usually start seeing watery to stretchy cm by this cd. I also think my cm is going to be out of wack with this darn infection :(. Bright side is that my root canal is over today and only 1 more week of antibiotics to go. Yey! Good luck and baby dust to all :)

I m in canada.this is my second month. But , first month I did the diet for only two weeks.now it has been six weeks.i wish I could get bfp bcs I m putting on weight very fastly. I was always on diet when I conceived my daughters.my English is not good.

MIka1104
March 11th, 2014, 11:43 AM
Lilly, I know what you mean because I put on about 6 pounds with this diet. It is forcing me to eat more meat, which I usually don't. My dh told me that I'm still eating small though. It's so hard for me to eat so much, which could be the reason I have 2 dds. Hopefully the weight gain is a good thing.

Loveinmyboys, are you temping? That has really been helping me the past couple of cycles. I agree with sweetdream, try not to test for a couple of days. I know how hard that is though. Next week is going to be a hard one for me but I'm going to try not to test until my dr. appt next Monday (I'll be 10dpo). Probably too soon to tell by then.

lovinmyboys
March 11th, 2014, 01:43 PM
MIka- nope, not temping. Just used OPK and an iphone app that tracks ovulation. I'm on metformin for PCOS and my cycles have been unbelievably regular on it.

I only tested 2x today. It's better than 3x yesterday!!!

Hi Ladies,

sweetdream, you are totally right, these swaying diets throw our cycles completely off.

I am finally almost done with all of my dental work thank goodness :) Still need to go back one more time.

Sooo I read and read that Antibiotics sway boy, but i am still skeptic because of my darn YI. Anywho so they say its supposed to make it more alkaline, I hope thats the case.

I honestly am very disappointed that I failed to remember that I always get a YI after taking antibiotics. Good thing is that I only have three more days to go. I finally saw my stretchy CM today which is a great sign and I thought I would never see this month. I think two more days and I am there hopefully. I am also bummed with that I forgot this was daylight savings month and now my Clear Blue Fertility monitor is stuck so now I have to test and hour after which means two hours after waking and by the time I arrive at work ugh. Anywho, i am excited for all you beautiful ladies in your tww. I am really hoping we get to see tons of BFP's this month, because next month is for a christmas due date :(.

Yogi, I would double check on the antibiotics. I thought that probiotics swayed blue, so I would think antibiotics would do the opposite, but I could be wrong! I will try and find a post on it, as I feel like I've seen one before. Either way, I'm sure you'll be glad to be off them soon!

And yes, I am really hoping this month we all get BFPs! I know some people may like a Christmas baby, but personally I'd rather avoid that if at all possible. We may even take off next month from trying if we don't get our BFP this month, simply to avoid a Christmas baby :-(

One of my favorite things about our daughter's birthday (May 25) is that it's nice and spaced out from Christmas. Whenever Christmas rolls around and I can't afford to get her everything I'd like to get her, I at least can put it on the birthday list and give myself 5 more months to save for it :-) Heck, even with a November due date if this month happens, it's still going to take some crafty budgeting for birthdays for this one, lol.

Probiotics def. sway blue (because they make nutrients that your body can use), antibiotics are also said to sway blue (supposedly because they make more CM and possibly raise vaginal pH).

I'm less convinced on the antibiotic front than I am the probiotic.

yogi&booboo
March 12th, 2014, 05:03 PM
Thank you crazycatcouple & atomic!

I have one question though, is it safe to take a probiotic with antibiotics? I know i read that i was recommended to take when a YI occurs. I will test my PH tonight and see where its at after being on antibiotics for two weeks :)

Thanks again for your help!

sweetdream
March 12th, 2014, 05:15 PM
I know antibiotics will kill your natural intestinal flora. and Pro-biotics will restore them. It was recommended to me to help rebuild. I would buy a good capsule and not those lowsy drinks.. cause those probiotics will be dead before they enter your bowel. cause they aren't natural we don't have those in our bowel naturally.

I'm not TTC to conceive this month because there are just too many birthdays around Christmas time for us (we have a large extended family and have a big celebration for each one-there are currently 7 birthdays surrounding Christmas!! Gets soooo expensive!!). I like the idea of spreading things out and giving each child their own 'month' if that makes sense :-)
Plus husband works away a lot so realistic next attempt isn't until June!!
Good luck everyone for this month, the 2ww is AWFUL!!!!!

laVieEnRose
March 13th, 2014, 07:26 AM
No particular signs for me either except moodiness, feeling quite weak ...as you said kitkat, prob the effect of the le diet or perhaps pmt ...
What is FRER? I didn't realise one can test before AF due date....
I'm about 8dpo I think (CD25) but really doubt our first attempt worked as it was a bit of a shamble with missing the surge...

Welcome marika!
LaVie the FRER tests are the First Response Early result preg testers. They detect the lowest amount of hcg so will usually give u the earliest result. I have always used them before AF was due and got positive results early. I think the instructions say 5-6 days before it's due, but I still think 2 days before ur due is safest, otherwise u can just waste tests. They are a bit more expensive than regular tests.

Hey ladies! I'm 7dpo today and got that midcycle dip which I'm really hoping is an implantation dip but I'm not very hopeful. I just don't feel like this is the month. I have been very fatigued lately but today I'm feeling back to my normal self. The tricky thing about the 2ww is that any symptoms we get is related to the increase in progesterone so I don't even symptom spot anymore. It's useless. I've had every symptom these past few months. I will just continue to record my temps.

I was concerned about having a Christmas baby but right now I just want a bfp and will continue to try every month until something happens.
Good luck again to all you all!!

Hey!! Sorry, i didn't login much lately..
Omg i had a lot of symptoms the last week; very hungry, aches on the sides of my boobs just like i had when pregnant, even light AF-like cramps on the day i was supposed to have AF.
So i got a little hope, adding the ewcm, plus the cramping on dpo 6 ( possible implantation), and the symptoms.
Yesterday was dpo 18!
But this morning i noticed pinkish cm in my pantys, and did the tampontest: red.
Pfff paniced and tested: negative ofcourse..
I felt a little sad.. Husband and i were getting a little hopeful, but this is not the month for us!
I will read back tonight, just wanted to update : )
Cu soon ladies, we will get our babies! X

Lovinmyboys...same with me, have always conceived so quickly, it's a running joke in our whole circle of family and friends that my husband only needs to look at me and I'm pregnant! (6 pregnancies in 8 years) But I guess being 37 now and all the swaying stuff is making it more difficult which is shocking. Last month was our first TTC cycle and I totally thought it'd be no problem getting pregnant. Couldn't believe it when af came along in full force!! Reality check!

Lily sorry you got AF...

Kitkat could you be low on potassium. it made me feel like that. I'm trying to up potassium and feel better by that.

I'm feeling a bit bleh too.. but I've got the feeling like AF is coming.. It should come tuesday.. but it feels like I'm getting it like sunday (the days before AF I always feel blowted... my intestens hurts a bit.. I'm a bit windy(this i normally don't have but think diet is responsable for that) and my boobs hurt a bit. wich is sign of AF showing... )

I really feel that I'm not pg this month.

It can be tough, right?
I'm even worried i won't be able to conceive without my superfertile diet( Caveman) when conceiving my lovely son..
I think LE is off. I will just try not snacking and eating as healthy as possible.
In the end of the day, it's more important to conceive at all instead of dieting like crazy and taking you too long to conceive, right?
Or is this a somewhat controversial thought?
Our third round of trying started yesterday. So that's not very long, but i just want to enhance the odds. I want my baby! ;-)

I'm having a alternate diet. It;s the PCOS kind (I hardly lose weight) I eat lots of vegys and fruit. but almost no meat. and need to avoid fast food.
It feels healty and asked as lately if it wasn't to healty she said she wished more of the Pink swayers would eat more fruit and vegys because you need to eat lots of those to have the same amount of nutricions that's in burgers and stuff.
And they contain lots of pottassium wich makes you feel better.
It works for me. losing weight very slowly though.. but It does do something.
I just hope it sways for me. this is our last baby.
and my second month. I will skip stuff if I'm not PG but Diet and excercise will be PRIO 1. I would start with bd 4 day cut off first instead of FR And 1 attemp.

It can stil be. but I don't think it is.

(I'm sorry for spellingmistakes.)

Hey kitkat, we are TTC blue. I believe the HE diet is probably easier to adapt to in terms of just adding more of everything. I don't think I have a very LE diet normally, but I definitely have more LE tendencies, like I'll have coffee for breakfast, and I don't really snack. I have a tendency to gain weight quickly so the HE diet has been rather depressing. Actually when I conceived DD1 it was on our honeymoon so I had been dieting in the lead up to our wedding and DD2 was while I was breastfeeding.
Dragonmother I agree that if it's taking too long to conceive ur better off actually being able to get pregnant than worrying about dieting. I guess u have to consider how long it's taking and how much you want ur DG, as good as swaying can be it isn't fool proof.
Hopefully everyone gets a BFP soon and we can all feel better :)

March 14th, 2014, 07:28 AM
Kitkat...I do have 1 daughter, you were right! She is number 5, so I've had another son since. I also have 5 brothers and remember feeling so desperate for a sister, so that is my motivation for all this swaying. Of course, she may not be as desperate as me!! But she has started playing with 'pretend' sisters so I'm thinking she might ask eventually (she's 3). She is just SO outnumbered and is left out of a lot of stuff. I really want her to know I at least TRIED to give her a sister. Of course, she could end up even more outnumbered but at least I gave it a shot and we will be looking into adoption at that point. That is in our plans anyway as we love having a big family but I know my fertility won't last forever!!
In answer to your question, my daughter was extremely prevented. She was the only child I really CRIED over getting a positive because we weren't ready to have another baby. My health wasn't good and I just didn't want to risk it. So she is a condom baby!! But if I look back at my lifestyle, the things that were going for me was that I was dieting on Slim Fast to get rid of previous baby weight, and I wasn't at my healthiest. In fact, I got swine flu the month she was conceived and prayed for death I was that ill!! I really, still, to this day do not know how she was conceived. We were incredibly careful and I went over calendar dates for Ages to try and figure out HOW I was pregnant!!
The difference with all the boys was that they were all when we were having frequent bd and so none of them were a surprise. My daughter was definitely a ONE and only attempt plus with a condom.

Wow Sisterplease, sounds like your daughter was just meant to be here. I grew up with all brothers and really wanted a sister so that's nice that you're trying so hard to give her an ally.

This will also be my last attempt but I know dh will want to try again if it's a girl. I know that I'm not trying my best with this diet. I don't eat enough calories, although I'm eating way more than I did with my 2dds. I have been lifting weights more and taking more vitamins. This is my fifth attempt since bcp, and like most of you, I thought it would happen the first or second try! I am 8dpo today and still feeling like af is definitely going to show.

And Lilly, I also hope that you will soon get your bfp! I know how frustrating it can be.

Hopefully next week I will log on and see some good news from you ladies!

Kitkat, I too feel quite weak at the moment...I'm sure I'm deficient in sme stuff - prob iron which I usually get from red meat. I will review my diet and do a lighter version of LE as I have lost weight I didn't really need to loose anyway and find it hard to maintain ...
I'm not sure if I should do FRER or just wait for After AF time...too scared to b disappointed...

Hi ladies!
Got AF today :( Two days early!!! At least it saves me from my 2-3x a day POAS habit!

Will continue my LE PCOS as best I can, though we will be on vacation for a week so it's tough. Will continue supplements and OPK as well. I'm supposed to ovulate during the trip.

I'm really impatient about the whole thing and my desire at this moment to have a third is overriding my desire for a girl. Will have to think long and hard about the whole thing. DH is of the opinion that we should "just do it a lot" lol. Right now I'm sort of on the same wavelength.

Good luck to everyone in their 2ww and really hope to hear some good news from all of you!!!

Sorry to hear that! I can truly empathize with you because now my desire to just get pregnant overrides my desire for a boy! After 4 BFNs I am getting so frustrated and I'm gaining weight on this diet. I don't want to gain weight before the baby but I'm thinking I got my girls from being smaller and eating small...I don't know. I really hope you have good news next month, lovinmyboys. Wow we are all in the same boat such a great forum for supporting each other! Upping potassium is a good idea more fruits and veges I think ...I'm 35 ttc girl after 2 boys I feel I can stay on this diet for six months max as like a few of you my le is more relaxed so I intend to stay on it for longer!! I had gained weight with both my boys, massive breakie snacking all the time, I was also a vegie and BD once in our fertile window and of course big O !! This is also my last baby :) finally convinced DH now my youngest is 4.
Good luck to all testing or on their next cycle attempt ! I think you know when you are done with this whole swaying business that said drop everthing before diet and one attempt for a girl I am pretty sure that is what atomic recommends xxxxxx

I think there chemicals.. although the brand clames they have non... (last month I also saw vage Lines. but they couldn't be captured on film. and I needed to try hard looking at it.. from this afternoon I see clearly.

Ofc I've got al kinds of symptoms today.. head is messing with me... It's prolly physical.. I'm nervous.. so that prolly makes me nauscia... and got cramps.. like AF is started.. but no blood.
We'll see.. I'll just think AF start tuesday..

(and I know it's stupid to test so manny times cause your HCG lvl just dubbles every 2 days and you can't messure it by the hour...
Also I know that in the evening your urine can be less concentrated... but I don't want to hope.. wich ofc I do... :( )

Hi Lilly 585,

I definitely have. I honestly do not even know what happened to this cycle. I didint buy cheapy opks this time because i promised my self i would only test using my cbfm monitor but even the monitor didn't give me a peak day :(. My cycles are 28 to 29 days long. I ovulate on cd 16 according to my temps and positive opks. This month I had my period for almost 8 days and spotted for another 8 after. I bd this month by reading my cm. But yes, it will definitely change your cycle for sure. The month i tried green tea, i ovulated late and had a short luteal phasr so i dropped it completely. Atomic says that the supplements will also throw your cycle out wack as well. Good luck and hope your cycles adjust to your diet!

I am almost embarresed to admit that I took a test this morning. I am probably 4dpo. Have had som light cramping last 2 days but that could be just anything.

Anyway, at first the test was totally blank, but after maybe 10 minutes I could start noticing an extremely faint line, or more like a shadow. Probably just an evaporation line so I don't really put any weight in it. I have a lot of tests and just love the testing moment so I started now just for fun.

Here's a picture of my test (really hard to catch on camera so probably nothing at all...)

I see. I saw your lines, so sorry they weren't positive

I actually didn't expect to see anything this early. I know that most eggs don't even attach before 6-7 dpo, but I also read that the hcg can start to produce before attachment and that ppl have gotten really early positive tests, and testmaniac as I am, I can't resist the temptation to start way too early!

Hi everyone! I think I'm 1 DPO today. I have decided that if we need to do this whole thing again next month, I'm going to take up temping. The OPKs are good, but not exact enough for me, lol. I had a positive OPK on Friday at noon, but then a slightly lighter one that evening. But then I got an even darker positive OPK Saturday morning. Since then they've gotten progressively lighter though, so I'm thinking I O'd sometime Saturday or Sunday, so to be safe, we're going with 1 DPO today :-)

Crazycatcouple, I temp but am new to opks :). The same thing happened to me. I had a positive opk on Friday morning then negatives later that day. So I took another Saturday morning and it was even more positive. Then Sunday they became lighter. Like I said I temp as well and so I know I ovulated Saturday sometime making me 2 dpo. I think you are 2 dpo. Since the opks were confusing me I asked and atomic said most women will ovulate 36 hrs after the first positive which was true for me. Any way we are either exactly the same dpo or one off :)

I really didn't want a Christmas or even January baby but at this point I really just want my baby to get here :-) I hear all these stories about how long it took some women to get preggo after bc and I'm just hoping I don't have to wait too long. I have an appt in a few hours so I will feel better once I talk to my GYN about things. DH is so patient but he doesn't realize how upsetting this is. I will try better with my diet this time around too...I've been slacking because of the weight I put on. Anyway, I hope to NOT see you guys who are waiting on the April 2ww thread with me next month!! GL!

I totally understand and there is nothing wrong with change of plans. Believe it or not but it actually felt nice having a December baby. What a better excuse to stay home and cuddle with a brand new baby. I wish you nothing but the best and what matters most is that we get our bfps :) I hope your doc gives you the words of wisdom that you need that will give you the reassurance you need to move on worry free. Please keep us updated on your progress :)

Prayingpink - yes, it seems we are in sync for sure :) I think I'll go with 3 DPO today then! One day closer, lol. My birthday was Saturday, so we are really hoping we made a birthday baby...fingers crossed!! I see you're wanting a little girl. We're going for a boy, so hopefully we'll get one of each between the two of us!

Sorry to hear about af showing up for you guys
I'm 12dpo today and have been having af cramps since yesterday when my temp fell to down to the coverline. I woke up today and my temp rose .5 degrees which is odd. Still feel like af is going to arrive early (I'm due in 2 days but never cramped this early so I'm perplexed). I'm holding on to some hope until I see af.

Kitkat, I've been on this diet since December and went to the dr. yesterday to see that I've gained another 2 pounds in one week...I'm not even eating that much! I wonder if it's muscle gain because I've been weight lifting more than usual and have also been doing the Insanity workout. I haven't been doing such a good job with the diet but I have been keeping my blood sugar elevated. Hopefully I did enough boy-friendly stuff.

Thanks, Yogi for your kind words! Hope all is well with you.

Crazycatcouple first of all PLEASE take all my blue baby dust. You are more than welcome to take it all lol. So when do you plan to test? I'm a crazy person and want to test early but I fully expect a bfn. I think I'm gunna try 8 dpo 10 dpo and 12 dpo. I have a 12 day lp but I spot 1-2 days before af arrives. I so hope you get a sticky blue bean :) can't wait to hear!

Sorry to hear that some of you got af :-(

MIka - the cramping sounds promising! :-) For me that has been a good sign with my pregnancies.

I get really an addict when it comes to testing, so I already started as you know. I have taken several tests and all of them shows these extremely faint shadows/lines after 10-15 min and I thought they are evap lines. But to be sure I made my DH take a test as well (he said no, no, no but finally gave up and sighed ok - and of course I swoooore never ever to tell anyone!!) and he didn't get the line at all! Then, when thinking about it again I realized that it would really be too early for me to get lines and it just hit me that it must be my old hormones after the m/c about 7 weeks ago. Googled and read they can stick for up to 9 weeks, so it must be it. Testing early just lost it's charm :-(

MIka1104
March 18th, 2014, 02:52 PM
Thanks, Marika...I'm going to test tomorrow morning if af doesn't show up tonight. I'm still cramping but it feels a bit different now. I hope my temps stay up. I hope you get your BFP!

crazycatcouple
March 18th, 2014, 02:54 PM
Oh Marika, that is saddening, but I'm glad you were able to figure it out. Hopefully the next time you test it will be a clearly positive line!

Prayingpink - Thank you for your blue baby dust!! You can have all my pink dust too :-) I am also a crazy obsessed tester, so I have a feeling I won't be able to hold out for long. The problem is that once I break the seal, so to speak, I can't stop! I know the HCG double only every 48 hours, but you never know how close you are to that limit where it will show on the test, lol. With our daughter, I started testing at 5 or 6 DPO and got 4 or 5 negatives (I tested every day) until I finally got that extremely faint positive :-) So yeah...I will probably try and hold out until 8 DPO like you, but will likely then test daily from that point on. I bought a large pack of the cheapy tests, so it's not wasting too much money (in fact, I can't even promise I won't test 2 or 3 times a day since I've heard that sometimes evening pee is best to use versus FMU). I also bought a 3 pack of the FRER tests too, but I'll probably wait and use those more sparingly, so maybe 10 and 12 DPO and save the last one for confirmation when a cheapy shows a positive. Ugh, I hope we all get sticky beans and early too!!

Prayingpink
March 18th, 2014, 04:16 PM
Crazycatcouple, tell me about it. I wanna test already lol. I feel so odd this month already (that might be because I want it so badly this month). But I know it'll be negative if I tested this early. When did you get your bfp with your daughter? I only have frer (5 of them). They were on sale so that's why but if I don't get bfp this month, im gunna buy the cheapy ones. I am hoping to test every other day but ummm let just say idk that that'll happen lol.

MIka1104
March 18th, 2014, 07:15 PM
My cramps have been coming all day and I just felt different so I decided to test and got a light pink line on the FRER!! I'm so excited and scared at the same time. I'll test again tomorrow just to be sure.

Congrats Mlka1104. Fingers crossed that the lines even darker tomorrow and it's defiantly your BFP! :)

I'm only probably 2-3DPO but my husband is certain I'm pregnant already! Lol! I accused him of liking some girl at work, cried at something I saw on his computer, complained about the smell of the mayonnaise on the kids sandwich and I've had a really upset tummy for 2days. I know it's impossible that any of this could be related to pregnancy as it's way too early, but my husband is pretty sure of himself. ;)

Part of me is hoping I'm not pregnant this month as I've seen some other successful girl sway attempts and mine was nowhere near as strict as theirs. Maybe an extra strict month would be better, although the past 2 days have been shocking for diet! :(

Congratulations MIka! Fantastic! :-D How many dpo are you?

I couldn't stop myself from taking another test this morning. My husband think I am really crazy but I just can't help it.

Anyway, I got an extremely faint line this time too, but it did come up a bit faster and before the stick was dry. I don't wanna start hoping since I probably have the old hormones left, but would it be possible to get an earlier positive result if you have old hormones AND start adding new ones? I am 6 dpo now.

Momof6~I'm swaying blue.do u think u could tell us blue swayers why u have only had sons?

I wish I knew! I've been racking my brain trying to think of why we have had our six boys but there isn't much that adds up....

With our first we were young and still very much in love in that "honeymoon" stage so there was lots of DTD but also a fair bit of partying, drinking and smoking (just cigarettes, nothing else) although diet was probably high in salt - I had a salt and vinegar chip addiction! Lol! I was a vegetarian though and ate lots of veggies but also high carbs (pasta). Was very tiny/underweight.

With DS2 it was one attempt and only a few months after a loss. Diet was pretty healthy, wasn't a vegetarian but ate little meat. No smoking, no alcohol. Still size 6.

With the twins, we were going to start looking into swaying for a girl and was reading and researching but got pregnant sooner than expected. Had recently had implanon (BC rod in arm) out, but also recently had a loss. Was a PT/fitness instructor so lots of exercise! Lots of cardio classes, healthy diet.

With 5 & 6... Lots of DTD, but with DS5 was under lots of stress as we going thru some marital issues and parenting issues with our eldest, but with DS6 was happy and healthy! :)

We both drink coffee, DH likes his breads, potatoes, bananas, protein shakes, steak, chicken and veggies. I have never eaten breads, potatoes, much fruit. Have never been a big breakfast eater, although with DS6 was having a meat and nuts breakfast. Except when we were young and conceived DS1, we haven't drunk or smoked. I've always had low calorie/yoyo eating habits.

Swaying for a girl, I actually haven't made many lifestyle changes to fit into the girl sway plan, except having artificial sweeteners (which I've always avoided like the plague!) so I don't like our chances, but we will see. :)

That's a long post, but don't know if it's much help!?!? :worry:

Mlka - congratulations! That definitely sounds like a positive :-) What DPO are you?

Mumofsix - you are inspirational - 6 boys!! I am praying for you to get your little girl...anyone with 6 of the same sex deserves it, in my opinion.

Marika - fingers crossed for you that this is it! 6 DPO is early, but I've heard of it happening occasionally, so you never know!

Prayingpink - I *think* I was 10 DPO when I got my BFP with my daughter. Ultimately I don't mind testing early. The main risks are wasting money and getting down about negatives, but personally, I'm okay with that :-) I do remember that the first symptom I had, even before the positive test, was loose stools (sorry if TMI). I was confused because at the time I had only heard about constipation being a symptom, but when I started researching it, I found that the opposite can be true for some. So needless to say, I will be watching out for that, lol. Last month I swore I had implantation bleeding and pain, plus really tender breasts and some uterine twitching, but it didn't amount to anything, of course. This time I'm going to try not to read too much into that stuff, because so many of those symptoms can also be due to AF coming. I did go out and buy a pineapple though for the bromelain, and am eating some every day to help with implantation :-) I figured it can't hurt! How are you feeling?

MIka1104
March 19th, 2014, 04:44 PM
Thanks so much ladies!! I've been so busy all day that I never had a chance to buy another test. I am 13dpo today and usually expect af tonight. FX that she will keep her distance. I was so happy to see that my temp went up even higher this morning. I am very tired and am making frequent potty trips plus these cramps won't go away. They feel different than my usual cramps so that's what made me test yesterday. Af is always like clockwork so if nothing happens by tmrw morning and my temp stays high I will call and make my appointment!! Dh and I are really excited and nervous at the same time. I'll keep u guys updated!

I hope this is it for you Marika! Hope to hear some more good news from you all soon!!

Crazycatcouple, ya you are right. Idk I might have a moment of weakness and test really early only because (even though it's useless symptom spotting) I just feel weird. Idk I could be coming down with something or just exhausted. I just feel sick and I'm sitting with my youngest and the smell of his snack is making my tummy turn even more and I'm achy. I'm also growing more tired with each passing day. I think I'm just getting the flu honestly.

SamS_TTCPink
March 20th, 2014, 03:01 AM
Prayingpink hopefully it's not the flu and it's a sign of that BFP in a few days!

I have terrible cramps/pain today, not quite like period pain, but kinda?!?! If that makes any sense at all?!!? :p
I don't know is its ovulation pain maybe, but just stronger than normal?! But my +OPK was Sunday so wouldn't it be too late? I have a "feeling" though that I'm not pregnant, despite all my crazy antics the last few days! Lol!

I am worried though that if this isn't the month, that we won't attempt next month as our diet has been way off the past few days. :( I've just felt too lazy to be organised enough.

I wish I had more answers to how we got our boys. Although I'm starting to think that maternal dominance theory might be correct. I'm probably too much of the boss in our family, but with six boys (and a husband ;) ) and our crazy busy life, I've had to be!

@ how i got my boys. I really think my metabolic system (wich doesn't work) is part of the deal. I can't lose weight. when I do it's always sudden and stops and can't get it going again.
I think I'm insuline resistense (complaind about diff symtpoms for 15 years but blood sugar is always normal but I'm a poor eater) My body takes every single thing out of my food and stores it on my but!
(hope fiber helps in this case)
my thyroid is slow. so i'm tired a lot. wich messes with my excercise.. or moving at all.

but I really believe it's the high (enough) bloodsugars (wich I can't messure but I can feel) and the but on the couch kinda type wich swayed blue for me.

so.. getting my ass of my couch now! and working some...

I'm the same with weight loss so you could be right! Even though I could eat anything and not put on a gram when I was younger, since DS2 it's become impossible to lose weight, and harder after each baby. I haven't even lost any on the LE diet! :(

Apparently all my sugars, hormones, thyroid etc are always ok, but something is obviously amiss!

SamS_TTCPink
March 20th, 2014, 08:56 AM
I'm still doing the LE (we'll have been way off track the last few days :() but the PCOS version, but I lost a couple of kgs and have now gained it all back, even though I was doing so well with following the diet!! It doesn't give me much hope that I'll get my girl. :(

I don't know what else to do though?! I don't know if the LE diet or the weight loss but on some other diet would sway more? Are you on LE?

sweetdream
March 20th, 2014, 09:11 AM
Pcos LE diet is good. It's what AS advised me because of Insiline resistence.
Are you doing any excercise?

I've lost about 2 kilo (in 3months whit walking an our 5x a week). but I'm stuck there too. (in the 2ww I think I've gained some.. not sure)
I'm picking back up and hoping to lose some more (could easy lose 10kilo)
But AS reassured me that not losing weight doesn't mean I won't get a girl.

It still works even if you don't lose weight (but 2kilo while I keep eating is a lot for me.. I hardly lose 2kilo with shakes.. or actually I even didn't back then)
So just have to keep faith.

My bfp was confirmed by a missed period last night and still nothing today. I never made it to 14dpo or cd 28 w/o seeing af (my cycles are usually between 24-26 days). I just felt different about this month (prolly cuz I want an early December baby). But the last few days I've been feeling down like there's no way it could actually happen the month I want it to so badly. I've also been soooo exhausted and achy my allergies are horrible and my back is killing me so needless to say everything combined has really made me feel down and I'm not sucking to the diet well. I'm still skipping breakfast drinking diet soda but I've been eating some more calories and not paying attention so much to nutrition. Idk I'm so down about it right now. But I oed Sunday too so I'm 5 dpo today the cramps aren't really bad anymore now I just get pinching sometimes but my back has been killing me since o day. This is the longest week ever!

Blah :tissue:
I just read in the clearblu fertiliy monitor handbook that antibiotics do interfere with the monitor. Im hoping it just did not catch my peak day and I did good by bd'ing on my peak cm days. I am on cd 24 per the monitor and still showing high :nails:

Here is what it says:
Certain personal circumstances, medical conditions and medications can adversely affect the performance of the ClearblueŽ Fertility
Monitor. These include menopausal symptoms, breast feeding, impaired liver or kidney function, polycystic ovarian syndrome, antibiotics containing tetracyclines and treatments that might affect your cycle e.g.[/U][/B] hormonal contraception, certain fertility treatments and hormone replacement therapy. Couples with medically diagnosed fertility problems should consult their physician before using this product. The ClearblueŽ Fertility Monitor is most suitable for women whose natural monthly cycle normally lasts between 21 and 42 days. Women who
have recently been pregnant, stopped breast feeding or stopped using hormonal contraception (e.g. the pill), or any other treatment that
might affect their cycle, may wish to wait until they have at least two natural menstrual cycles in a row (each lasting 21 to 42 days) before
using the ClearblueŽ Fertility Monitor. See pages 5 and 6 for further information.

I guess only time will tell :worry::fx:

Mika - SO excited for you!! We need some more BFPs in here already!!

Thanks, crazycatcouple! I didn't feel ANY symptoms except the cramping so don't worry about that. I googled it once during my 2ww and I was surprised by the amount of women who feel nothing the first several weeks. GL!! and yes we need MORE BFPs!!!

Congratulations Mlka!! Glad to see some good news.
I'm on cd12 just now and don't expect to o until cd22. These long cycles are killing me. It's so long between af and o and then the dreaded tww. I just want to get on to the tww and being a :poas:

Wishing&hopefulforblue - we're right near each other...I O'd on the 15th, as did Prayingpink :-) I am a pretty agressive tester as well, but I haven't "broken the seal" so to speak just yet, lol. I think I'll probably try and get through the weekend before beginning my obsessive testing. Sending lots of blue baby dust your way!

Lyngostar - ugh, that sucks to have such a long wait each month!! Is your leutal phase long too making the 2ww longer? I can imagine how anxious you must be! Hopefully it will happen quickly for you so you don't have to wait so long again!

Mlka - thanks for the encouraging words :-) I feel pretty normal still. Maybe slightly more tired, but it doesn't feel like pregnancy tired, if you know what I mean. It is early though. Today I am having a little cramping, but mostly just because I'm hyper aware I think. If I wasn't ttc'ing I probably wouldn't even notice. I think that's part of my problem too - I never really listened to my body before, so last month when I swore I was pregnant, it was probably just my normal PMS symptoms happening. I have been on birth controls (depo and mirena) where I didn't get AF for so many years, that I really am not as "in-tune" with my cycle as I think others might be. So now I'm just trying to relax and go with the flow this time. It's not working very well, lol, but I'm still trying! Oh, and here's to you hopefully continuing to feel awesome throughout your entire pregnancy!!

Just an update. Pretty much all my symptoms are gone today at 6 dpo. So I'm thinking it was a weird o and I had symptoms from that for a while or my body was trying to get sick but I beat it before it started :). Only my right boob hurts and I'm tired but that's pms symptoms for me so any way that's my update. Also my spirits are high today. I weighed myself this morning expecting to have gained weight the last few days but to my surprise I had lost a little :) so that encouraged me to get back on track with diet and excersise cuz I've pretty much decided I'm prolly not pregnant and need to keep my chances for next cycle :). I hope everyone is doing well today!

I'm not sure how long my lp is crazycat. The last two cycles I had a smiley face on an opk at cd16 but af didn't come till CD 39 so I think I must have o'd later than that. So this month I changed to the opks with lines so I would see if I o later in my cycle. My cycle changed from 31 to 39 which has messed up my ttc plans.

Hello beautiful gals,
Im 10dpo here. Debating if i should just for af and not test or should I test and if so what dpo? Have some minor cramping but very normal for me a few days before af. No other symptoms. My cbfm didint give me a peak and its been on high since cd14 almost 11days. Both lines are super dark and it has not given a peak. Anywho i should expect af cd29 on tuesday 4 days after today. What shall I do? I resolution want to be tough and suck it up but very very tempted to test.

I'm 6DPO today and any "symptom" I thought was there is gone too. And i don't "feel" pregnant at all, with the boys I just knew way before a BFP too. I have been way off the diet and no exercise so I don't think we will attempt next month.

Haha, that would be a very typical thing to cry over as pregnant. Are you gonna go with early testing or just wait and see?

I am trying not to obsess over symtoms, but I am. I started testing like lunatic but I realize it's just pointless as long as old hormones are left. They haven't changed noticeably at all so it's just a waste of tests really.

Yesterday I had a tiny tiny bleeding and cramps though. Of course I am hoping for it to be an implantation bleeding (is it it called that?) and I have been slightly nauseaus today. That nausea I am quite sure is nothing else but the beginning of a stomach flue - both sons have been sick during this week! :-S Also a bit touchy but that isn't very uncommon after being home for a week with sick kids plus stressing over this sway.

Mackenzie, I'm sorry about your bfn. I have heard of people getting late bfps. You aren't out till the witch shows :) I know that easier to say than believe lol. You are in my thoughts and I hope you get bfp really soon!

Yogi, you have a lot of self control. I would have broken downa and tested already lol. Good luck!!!!

Mumofsix, how long have you been off the diet? If not very long you should ttc next month :) I was thinking the same thing but then I realized 3 days off the diet isn't too big a deal :). We are still pretty early any way so many you will get bfp and not have to worry bout it any way :) fx

IFC, I've been pretty weapy myself but I'm calling it up to being on the diet for so long and wanting this so badly this month. I really hope you get your bfp though! It certainly is a good sign especially at 8 dpo :).

Markia, that all sounds so promising and I can't
wait to hear some good news from you!

So today I am 7 dpo. Last night I had very sharp pains. They felt like o pains only worse. It felt like a needle stabbing me really hard and this last just a couple mins. Then I had them again a little later on but they were lighter. Today I feel fine so far except after my morning coffee I feel a little query but not so much to make me stay near the bathroom. I will prolly test tomorrow morning just to get it out of my mind but I'm expecting a bfn.

I'm on my 10dpo today. This is my 5th month TTC. I want to wait until I miss AF to test. AF should be due on next week Wed. 3/26/14. I don't want an other disappointment of BFN. This month, I feel cramping and back pain all most the whole week now. Yesterday, 2 Friends of my ask me if I'm pregnant from out the blue. That was so Funny. Today, I feel my mouth feel funny, increase saliva and taste less. I hope that is a good sign and not just my imagination. Hope to hear more BFP this month.

Markia, I think if I am pregnant, then I'm pretty sure I implanted last night (6 dpo). That's still early for implantation right? But I'm thinking it was just a cramp or something. Idw to get my hopes up but I guess it's just hard.

Congratulations Prayingpink! How exciting! So happy for you :)

I'm about 8 DPO and after consistent high temps I've had a temp drop this morning so will see if it rises again tomorrow to indicate implantation or stay low for AF to show. Really on the fence, but leaning towards another bfn this month, bit disheartening being on clomid and dropping so many sway tactics and still not falling :(

Anyway, will see what happens! I'll test in a couple days, I'm trying to remain positive without getting my hopes up.

I am 9 DPO today, but got another BFN this morning. Tomorrow I'm going to pull out a FRER and try that. I'm trying really hard not to symptom spot, but can't really help it, lol. Yesterday I was SO exhausted. I ended up going to bed before 10pm and then decided to take the morning off work and slept till 11am. It could have been because I stayed up past 2am on Saturday due to a girls night with my brother's girlfriend, but it could also be the beginning of the never ending tiredness of early pregnancy...fingers crossed!

I have a feeling it's a BFN for me, but I have no reason to feel that way except that I've ever gotten pregnant on a single attempt. It was always 3-4 BDs in the span of two days (can you see why I have boys?!)
