I tried out an OPK as a pregnancy test when I was the same stage as you with DS2's pregnancy and it came out positive. The pregnancy test was a light BFP at that point (11dpo). ETA: I just looked back at my chart when I got pregnant with DS2 and I had EWCM on CD24, which was 12dpo! Very similar to you so I hope that's a good sign for you!

Hi all, tentatively joining you as I think I may be in the 2WW but not sure!! Think I may have ovulated somewhere around last weekend but havent got a clue, my OPKs were getting darker all week but never quite positive, then I couldnt test on saturday. Have had super light negative lines every day since sunday so I am working on the assumption that I did O - we BD wednesday and friday so have everything crossed!

Fitblonde - it may well be late O but also apparently we do get a surge of estrogen somewhere around 7dpo which can result in EWCM so it could also be that? Fingers crossed you are PG!

Boysway - enjoy that beer on friday night and get stuck into the lovely food too :)

Angie - hope you get your BFP soon, sounds like you are closest to testing?

It's hard to tell, I just came off the pill two months ago. Last month I O'd on day CD21 and my period came exactly 2 weeks later. Then this month I got a +OPK on CD17 & CD18 (I assumed I O'd on CD19). So so far I have been O'ing roughly 3 weeks after AF starts.

When I conceived my son I O'd around CD27, but had just come off the pill after 7 years on it. I had breaks off the pill in the last year and my periods are usually 5 weeks apart. I got a very faint BFP with my son at 11DPO (which is tomorrow) so FX I get a BFP tomorrow, otherwise I'll just assume that I O'd and will start the 2ww over again :hair:

Dang dang dang!!!!! So I tested this morning (big shock, I know) and when the pee was moving across I was SURE I saw the test line go pink. Super duper excited....had to leave midtest to deal with other kids. I have to tell, those few minutes I was over the moon and planning was in overdrive.
Came back to a stark negative!!!! Well, the McGyver in me *thought* I saw a hint of a shadow...so I played a game of shadows then decided it was my imagination :'(

I'm telling you, this TTC'ing is messing with my head, my heart AND my vision. So, of course, any rational TTC'er (haha) decides they have to take ANOTHER test because there is no way that could happen. I watched the whole process to see if I was crazy. Exact same freaking thing.

Hope others had better luck than I this morning!!! Fitblonde, how about you?

I believe I'm 11 DPO (maybe 10, but I'm thinking 11 is right). I know, still time. I keep doing the math. If implantation happened 7 DPO where the HCG levels might be. Sigh. Early testing is the craziest thing (I decided this morning). If kids can wait for Christmas/birthday etc., then I should be able to wait 3 freaking days until AF is due, lol. Not that this will stop me. But really, it's only 14 days to have to wait....why does it have to feel like 400?????

No symptoms. Except the ones in my head. I've had a sore/swollen throat for a few days, losing my voice. I keep thinking I have tugging in my lower abdomen (not cramping) and intermittent breast tingliness, but I think it's more psychosomatic than anything else. I am peeing more, but I think it's because I'm drinking more for my throat. AGONY, lol.
I'm actually thinking of hitting up the $ store across the street on my lunch, how sad is that....

I'm hiding it at work!!! No, nothing can be caught by camera. Hell, I'm not sure I'm catching it with my naked eye (maybe if it's turned JUST the right way, there MIGHT be a hint of a line). My new motto is sometimes an evap line is just an evap line. But......

I've now smudged the whole freakin test so it looks like a line (but in the wrong spot). I was trying to smuggle it from one spot to another in my bra (embarrassed smilie here) and I think the heat of my skin caused some weird reaction.

I spend so much time in the bathroom at home now it's no wonder DH isn't concerned, haha.

Thanks for the finger crossing and luck wishing. I'm desperate to know!

Today I am 7DPO (according to FF) in my first cycle since losing my son at 19+6 in March. And I crazily tested this morning and it was negative. Even though it's super early, I had this ridiculous thought in my head that I would get a gorgeous positive at 7DPO, the earliest I've ever gotten one. I think I'm crazy lol. Nooooo! No 7DPO positive here. I just meant it would have been the earliest I've ever gotten one. The earliest I've gotten on is 10DPO and it was mega light! So even thinking one at 7DPO was possible was crazy ;)

I wish we were able to buy tests that cheaply in Australia! The cheapest I've seen them is around the $7 mark, and that was the blue dye ones. The FRER are about $12 each! I bought a bulk pack of the OPKs on eBay and they came with a handful of cheap dip-strip HPTs as well so I'm using those at the moment.

Okay so I tested this morning and I'm not sure if it's a very very very faint BFP, an evap line, the indent where the line should be or I'm just seeing things. It's easier to see as it dries. I'll upload some pics even though you really can't see anything! I'm going to get my husband to check once he gets up.

I got a BFN this morning. I think I'm done. Done, done, done. There's no point in further testing 12DPO. If my pink line yesterday was a true BFP, it would have been positive this morning.

I'm actually contemplating ending my TTC'ing now. I have two happy, healthy boys. I'm going to be 36 in July and I wanted to be done having kids by 35. I'm nervous about having additional problems due to my age (considering my history). I have to talk to DH about all of this. He wasn't all that gung ho for a third, so I can't imagine him being crushed by the idea. :( I, stupidly, had my hopes WAY up after that positive line popping up hours later. I knew it was dumb, but I couldn't help but hope.

I know I'm only 12 DPO and there is still a chance, but I'm just not feeling it. I'm very sad today....

I know how you feel Angie. I'm thinking of stopping TTC too. Our plan was a Xmas bub this year, which was crushed when I had the m/c and now everything seems to be against us! We said no more once were 35 too and that's May next year. We also don't want another March-May baby as we have so many birthdays then as it is and it's already hard financially. So it's this month or not at all and I'm sure I'm out now with AF so late and still all BFN's and I'm sure we missed the egg. I've also run out of supps and almost out of opk's and can't really continue to afford it all. And my DH wasn't keen on another baby at the start either and said a few weeks ago he was done so I know he wouldn't care.

Really didn't think it would all be so hard but maybe it's cause it's just not meant to be! 😕

You never know though, maybe when you stop "trying" it will all happen easily for you and you might get a surprise BFP! 😀

Pinktink wow that is early to have got a BFP, with my DS my BFP was 12 days after positive OPK so I guess it was 11 dpo, I started testing at 9 dpo then, don't know how I held out!! The thought crossed my mind to test today but that would be silly, way too early!!

TMI I've just been to the loo for the 3rd time in the past 3 hours. But of a dodgy tummy, probably over indulged last night and definitely drank too much. Had brown spotting just now when I wiped I'm going to be so gutted if AF is coming already :(

Feeling a bit guilty about drinking so much last night but last time when TTC I limited myself in the 2ww which really annoyed me. fivebabies, that's my thought too. Why push my luck? I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to carry to term twice. There was a point in my life that I really thought I had zero chance of having children (since my first 2 pregnancies ended in MC at 10 weeks and then my 3rd at 14 weeks). So the fact I have 2 children who are happy, healthy and wonderful is amazing to me. I worry about what if, especially at 35 and especially since my 3rd pregnancy may have been because of a chromosomal abnormality (or neural tube defect).

It's such a hard decision to make. Rationally, I know that 2 is enough. But my heart aches for a third. Yes a girl would be blessing, but a healthy baby would be the ultimate gift. UGH!!!!

And, steph, I know cheating is mandatory and I the vindictive side of me wants to make him do LE for a whole week and see how he manages. Bet he'd feel differently then!!!! I can't believe how long you've been on the diet....it's only 2 months here and I am desperate to be off it!!!!

Hi girls, I have a silly q. We dtd on friday mid morning and then I received a +opk later that day; it continued to stay positive until last night.

This morning however, my opk was negative so does that mean I wil ovulate now or I habe already ovulated? I don't temp so don't know how to find out.

Odd - it should say on your test. Mine says that you should O between 24-48 hours following the positive

Angie - yes make him do the diet and tell him cheats are not allowed mwahahahaaaaa - i do enjoy what I eat it's just a bit annoying sometimes trying to be around 30% fat and below 60g protein. I have at least one cheat day a week, well I cheat most weekends all weekends really otherwise I would go mad lol

I think I screwed up my opk tests. I think CD9, 10, and 11 were actually negative. Yesterday's CD12 test lines were darker than the control then dried equal and I just took one 10 minutes ago and the test line is way darker than the control. That makes more sense with my normal O on CD15. Temps are still low so didn't O yet. I just started having O pains last night and today. We BD on CD10 thinking I had my positive then, but going to BD again tonight and if I O tomorrow or so then hopefully that will equal just one attempt.

Here's my +opk from 10 minutes ago. CD13 today.

Thanks! I was pretty sure the opk was + (both lines were equal darkness) at 10:30 last night so we bd. little after 11pm, but the test line was darker than the control this morning. That makes me nervous, but that still leaves me with 1 attempt in the fertile window so it may be ok. Dh didn't shower his time and I didn't j&d so hopefully pregnancy is still possible. Agh now for the super long 2ww!

Abifasc-- looks like we will be doing the TWW together! We had our attempt last night as well! Fingers crossed for both of us!

Odd-- I was just reading yesterday that Atomic thinks the diet is most important right around O and through the TWW since girl embryos develop best in a low glucose environment and that's exactly what the LE diet creates. So you definitely want to keep up the LE diet so that pink embryo can stick. Good luck!

You're actually on the low end for calories and protein for the LE diet. Atomic doesn't like to see anyone eating under 1500 calories and 40-50g of protein. Your body still needs to ovulate and make a good quality egg which is why she doesn't want anyone getting too low on nutrients. The LE ranges are 1500-1800 for calories, 26-60g of fat, and 40-50g of protein.

FF gave me my crosshairs today but I think they're a day off. 97.4 is a pre-O temp for me so I think I did O on my normal CD15 like always and so that would make me just 2dpo. My temps are slow to rise, but that may be because I started sleeping with a giant fan pointing towards me 3 days ago (on top of the open window and ceiling fan I always have!) Glad I have you both to do the TWW with!

I had a middle school meeting last night for my older son and I sat right in front of all the snacks and had several pieces of salami, crackers, and cheese which probably blew me past all my fat and protein numbers! But oh well! At least I did my workout last night when we got home!

Hey, I hope it's okay I post here! I've been stalking you guys on and off all month lol. Wishing everyone gets BFPs this month and for those who have gotten the dreaded visit from AF that you get awesome BFPs in June!!

I didn't test or temp for ovulation, but CD14 I had a bunch of ewcm in the morning accompanied by cramps and spotting and no fertile cm since, though we did continue to bd every day or two until CD22 just in case. I am now on CD 28 or 13DPO *I think*

AF could start any time from today the 21st to the 28th since I have irregular periods. I have tested the past 3 days and keep getting super duper faint lines which I now am starting to believe are all evaps... Just wish I'd get a neg test without an evap so I could feel certain one way or another!

Well we kept bd'ing until the 15th, CD 22, so if that's the case I should still have a shot. My cycles are so irregular too, 28-35 days is normal but the cycle I got pg with DD2 one was 50 days!

I think if AF does show up that I'll have to start temping and testing, I haven't so far because I figured I didn't think timing was key for ttc blue, but now I see I'd like to know just so I can be sure of how many DPO I am when POAS.

Yes you'd have fertile cm for days before you O as that let's the sperm get to where they need to go and already be waiting in the fallopian tube when the egg comes.

Right?! I try so hard not to pay any attention but when you're ttc you spend the rest of the month focusing on cm, signs, timing, diet, supps, etc. I think it's pretty much impossible to ignore your body after all of that in the 2ww.

I hate that my periods are irregular too because I don't really even know WHEN to expect AF, so I could be late right now, or not... which pretty much goes for the entire next week. With O spotting the 7th, I thought my very light spotting on the 17th could be implanting, even now when I think I've got all the signs for AF I have fertile CM which usually I don't get anywhere near AF. But I'm sure it's just a fluke and I convince myself I am or am not pregnant several times a day haha.

some people apparently get fertile CM around 7 dpo - its a surge of estrogen keeping the womb lining going. It can happen whether PG or not though, its not a sign of anything. Lets hope those evap lines turn into a BFP for you, we could do with some more BFPs here!

Have you sought advice from atomic on trying to get your periods more regular? she might have some good advice for you.

We've only just started sups a couple of months ago and this is our first month really actively ttc, so we'll probably try another cycle or two on our own, but if things start dragging I certainly am going to purchase a private plan and the boy cookbook while I'm at it. I'd do it now but DH needs some convincing that it will help.

Despite super crazy cycles though, I've never had any difficulty getting pregnant. M/c was 1st month trying, DD1 was 2 months, DD2 was 1 night lol. DD2 was also conceived on what would have been a 50 day cycle given when I had to have O'ed for conception and her due date. I never tested early before either, so I have nothing to compare these too.

Angie, I tested yesterday at 13DPO with FRER, not testing again until tomorrow in hopes of something more definite.

breakfast cereal and fortified foods plus pre-natal vitamins and nutrient dense foods are the way to go for you. Eat/graze often, dont allow yourself to get hungry. Eat lots of eggs, meat, nuts, avocado, that type of thing. Making myself hungry now and i have just had my afternoon bowl of fruit and yoghurt!

Dh and I on a whim decided to make an attempt. We will see what happens! I'm joining the 2ww wait with you guys :) I don't think we will get pregnant this month but who knows.

I started using opk's last month and never got even a line. ( been on the diet 44 days) But I only tested once a day (at 4pm) for a couple days before and after when I should ovulate so about a week total. This month I started testing on cd8 and in my fertile window 3 times a day . This month I've noticed when they dry I have a line but usually you can barely see it before it dries. We had one day with a for sure line but not positive I had ewcm and my cervix was high and open so we decided wth might as well try. It's been a couple days my cervix is low and I'm dry so maybe I ovulate without a positive or that's the closest I'll get to a positive? Either way I'm going to keep testing till af so I know better for next month. I told Dh not to get to excited because it might take a couple month, but I can't help thinking what if we do get a bfp this month! Lol

count me in on doing someone elses boy sway! Always had sugary cereal for breakfast, lots of meat *steak, how I miss you*, snacking all the time -- high fat, sodium, calories. Never skipped meals....like ever. Love fast food too!

But I was a serial dieter too. But never for more than a few weeks at a time. Even when I did the moderate healthy eating -- nothing extreme -- I couldn't maintain. This is probably the LONGEST I have ever been on a diet and have mostly stuck to it (mostly).

How long ago was your attempt? If I were you I'd BD tonight. You usually don't O until 1-2 days after a +OPK so BD'ing tonight would probably still be one attempt in your fertile window and would give you the highest chance of a BFP. I had my first +OPK on CD12 but didn't actually O till CD15. On CD12 the lines were equal, on CD13 the test line was darker than the control, and on CD14 they were equal. On CD15 the OPK was negative.

I think I'll be joining in here again :-) I am not 100% sure of course, but I think I am ovulating now. Started getting stronger opk tests wednesday, but then ran out of tests so I couldn't test yesterday but normally after starting getting stronger, they turn positive next day. We did bd yesterday morning just in case and right now I have all the usual symtoms of o that I have day after a opk+; most significant is a sharp pain in one side (left this time!). So hopefully an egg is releasing and some swimmers are up there waiting.

I haven't technically missed my period yet either (due the 25th or 26th)....Anyhow, she said my lines probably don't mean anything. She also refused to give me a blood test!! I know my body and after three kids I know the drill. I've had sickness, unusual bloating, cramps, headache EXTREME fatigue.... I'm even more confused now. To make it all
worse she started talking to me at length about miscarriages!!!! Who wants to hear that?! She had this sneer the whole time like I was nuts. Finally as I'm leaving I go on the elevator to see this cute little lady with her pink and white dress with a perfect baby bump. I got in my car and burst into tears. I'm so sad. :,-(

So I'm 4-5 dpo and trying really hard not to symptom spot but I might as well write them down. Feeling suuuuper tired, constant drippy and stuffy nose, slight soreness in my breasts and frequent urination. I'm not getting excited yet though. I feel like since the opk became more glaringly + after our attempt that we might have Dtd too early.

Drs can be so heartless at times! When I was bleeding and had problems with DS6 pregnancy the dr told me I would miscarry but it didn't matter anyway as we already had 5 kids!!

When I got my BFP in March my drs test was negative too so maybe they aren't as sensitive as some HPT tests!

Can you see another dr maybe who will do bloods for you?

Your doctor, my dear, is an idiot. Why the heck would she be talking about miscarriage with you if she didn't think you were pregnant?! You're super early. I'm sure FRER is more sensitive than theirs. I know it's hard, but try to relax. I can't believe she refused a blood test. That is ridiculous. I'd find another doctor to talk to.

Good luck to everyone in the TWW! I'm either 4 or 5dpo. I did have a hot flash tonight, which was my very first symptom with both pregnancies. So that's exciting! Feeling crampy right now too.

DH and I are going to be spending a night together in Long Beach tomorrow night. We won a night's stay at a hotel at DS1's fundraiser last year and it expires next week so we couldn't let it go to waste! My mom came up yesterday to watch the kids. We're getting a couples massage and going out to dinner and hopefully having a nice 1 hour gondola ride if we can get a reservation in time. Today was DS2's 5th birthday and next Saturday is his party so I've been SUPER busy. Looking to relax for the next 2 days!!!!

I was reading on an IVF site last night and the doctors on there recommended exercising no more than 4 days a week for 90 minutes max during the TWW and greatly limiting caffeine from all sources since it constricts the blood vessels, so I'm going to follow that advice even though I'm not an IVF patient. So no more double shot of espresso for the next week for me!

Okay, so here's this morning test from CD31. Decided I should put DPOs anymore since O was never confirmed by test or temp and my cycles are irregular. Next month I'm definitely going to be temping so I can feel more certain.

Hi guys!! I've missed you all had a well deserved break from ttc while my hubby recovers from surgery for a ruptured appendix!! Its been soo stressful and ive been so worried about him so its been a lovely break not worrying about opks, symptom spotting etc. Stayed on diet but had a fair few cheats!!!
Cycle day 3 so look forward to joining you for June !!! Will catch up on the Goss now on the other forums xxxxxx

DH and I are in Long Beach and I have eaten sooooo much tonight! Definitely no LE diet! I had a 10oz steak, lots of bread and butter, roasted artichoke with garlic mayonnaise sauce, creamed spinach, French onion soup, and a breve latte! Then I had a caramel peanut butter chocolate candy apple on our gondola ride and now we're eating salami, cheese, and crackers in our room!

At least I'm in the TWW though and I did have my fiber beforehand LOL!!!

Fitblonde-- Do you normally have spotting this early before AF? I agree that it can be implantation and you definitely still have a chance. 10dpo is still really early for testing. My best friend, who swayed for a girl too this month, had a BFN on 10dpo, what looked like an evap on 11dpo hours after testing, and a blazing BFP on 12dpo! Fingers crossed for you!

I'm DPO6 or 7 too abifasc! I don't really feel much so far. Perhaps a just a bit more sensitive to certain smells (especially bad ones lol)

I sometimes have spotting but my periods are usually always late and I always get bad cramps which I have none of. I had about 6 wipes of brown discharge then nothing. If I do get AF it will come in full force today.

I will test again in the morning. FX its a BFP and it sticks with the spotting I've been having.

ETA: This was taken at 5pm after holding it for 5 hours or so. Hopefully it will show something in the morning!

lyagirl - usually everyone has a very similar LP length (even with long cycles) and usually just the FP varies (ie with a 33 day cycle you just ovulate later than those with a 28 day cycle). You'd still expect a BFP between 10-14 dpo or so, even with a long cycle.

I *think* as of today I'm in the 2ww. Again. (Month #4!) I've had a bear of a time spotting O, so we're dtd every 4 days. Last night was attempt #2, so fingers crossed we can catch an egg.

P.S. I feel you on the LE diet, steph...I've been on it for just about 14 months. :O We'd originally planned to start ttc last Sept, but life/work/stress got in the way. Gee, no wonder I'm not sure when/if I'm Oing.

I'm either 7 or 8dpo (FF says 8) and my temps having been climbing higher every day but today dropped .4 degrees. Hoping that's an implantation dip, which FF says is most common on 7 or 8dpo. We'll see what tomorrow's temp does. I don't think I'm going to test for 2 more days.

Update: Thanks so much for your encouragement ladies. Even with the lines on all the tests...I am not pregnant. I called my OB after my crazy experience at the doctor. They felt horrible for me after I told them how my doctor acted. The drew my blood and pushed through a rush order on my blood results at the lab. They even had a special driver come out to their office to rush my blood to the main hospital lab. They called 2 hours later to tell me that it was in fact negative. I was still in shock because the lines were there. Best of all, after all that, the "wicked witch" came to visit Saturday morning. I showed my husband and two other close friends the actual tests and even they were amazed since the lines were so visible. This was an eventful experience so I think I am going to postpone my next attempt to July. I'm not ready to go through this again in a few days.

As for my extremely rude, inconsiderate doctor. She's toast! She will get no more of my insurance money
