June Bugs! TTC in June!

My kids have been sick, & naughty, & my family daycare mum has been sick & closed for 2 days, so I've had tonnes of time off work & I've been managing all this & feel like I'm snowed under & now I am freaking the fuck out about having a 3rd & how I will cope. I almost hope I'm not pregnant so I have time to reconsider everything... Not much I can do now if I am. Oh dear.....

I feel you, Primalmama. Whenever I have to go anywhere with my two kids I imagine it with a baby as well and I just have to tell myself, "Girl, you crazy!" Doesn't help that most of my friends have 2 and are done or the moms group I just joined is full of women with just one and are completely overwhelmed the way moms with just one baby are and not thinking about another. But then I hold a baby or see my friends new babies on Facebook and I remember how squishy and cuddly and sweet smelling babies are and I can't help from hoping I'm pregnant.

Just remember when they are little babies you can just throw them in a pack strapped to you so public outings aren't too bad and then by the time they are crazy two year olds with opinions and door opening skills like a monkey on amphetamines your other two will be two years more mature! These are the lies I tell myself. Besides when they say love you like my two year old says "La Wu!" you will be so smitten it will make up for the crazy!

I am so there with you laides! I work crazy hours, so we take Fridays off and do a "Fun Friday" every week at our house where we try to take the kids all on an outing and have family time together. It's always chaos... an hour of running around like a mad woman just to get everyone ready, then just trying to keep everyone from crying, fighting, in clean diapers, fed, and not sunburned the entire time we're out. I can't imagine throwing a baby into the mix.

But I still want to. ;)

Ok, so TMI but last night DS1 & 2 were out so we got the other kids pizza, watched the footy then put them to bed and DH and I had Thai for dinner, watched a movie, had a few drinks and then spontaneously DTD! It was the first time we DTD in 6months without micromanaging it for our sway and as DH said today "we broke all the rules" in regards to position, no refresh or sylk, no candles or fans on, big O 😕 etc etc... And it was so non stress and non mechanical! I think we had forgotten what that was like! Lol!! Anyway, I was only on CD7 so no chance of PG from it but thinking we will do the BD every 4 days this month to take some stress out of getting days and timing "right", just not sure what to do between the 4 days??? We were BDing frequently with most of the boys and so don't want to increase the odds of blue??? What to do?!? 😕

Yah!!!! Mum of six sounds great, we get so involved with swaying we forget it takes the fun out of DTD spontaneously!! Probably did you both a lot of good. Just stick to every four days if you can? Xx

Yeah, the every 4 days thing takes a ton of stress out of TTC. I had way more fun this month going every three days and ignoring OPK results. Plus it was fun when we would realize tonight it's "on". ;)

I had some spotting on Thursday and had a moment of frustration as that usually means my period is going to start in five days, but by Friday it was way darker when it usually starts to look pinker and it stopped. So I'm optimistic this month. Also I've been seeing a therapist and just talking about all the anxiety about TTC has really been helping put it into perspective. We'll get our third, it will happen one way or another.

We're leaving for Greece tomorrow and I'm super stressed! Soooo much to do still and lots of packing! We'll be gone for 3 weeks-- BIL's getting married next weekend.

I'm 5dpo and have had zero signs of anything-- not even O pains! But I'm just too busy to pay attention. Taking 3 FRER tests with me and will test on Thursday I think at 10dpo.

I had some pains Friday & yesterday & I wonder if that means implantation!! I don't "feel" pregnant but then again, in April I "felt" VERY pregnant & wasn't so maybe... I'm back to being excited now & I'm also back to mostly not caring about gender which is good because I think I've got Buckley's & none of having a girl due to breaking every single girl rule around lol. It might happen by "accident" but I doubt it!!!

I'm 11dpo still driving myself craycray no sign of AF due tomorrow 12dpo and normally I spot for two days. Bloated, cramps since 2 dpo peaked at 8dpo now gone, teeny nauseous.
But negative at 10dpo so it could all be in my head AGAIN!!
I also had four days ewcm from 5-9dpo and worried my digital opk was wrong. Its one thing not being pregnant but getting kn an attempt another to have missed my attempt totally!!!

Thank you, ladies! This is such a relief after 6 months of trying. I just on a fluke decided to test early since I got my first UTI last night and read it can be a symptom of pregnancy. I figured since I never get UTI's I may as well test! I am super excited, but we can't tell anyone for three months now! It's gonna be a hard secret to sit on! No to wear all my fitted clothes before I grow out of them!

Congrats arimethia! I too got positive tests today. Im shocked byt in a good way! We litterly were about to throw all the swaying tactics out the window next month to conceive if we weren't sucessful this month.

Im finding it a challenge as well not to tell anyone. We will probably cave and announce on our parents birthdays which both happen to fall in late July. Right around 10-11 week mark.!

Mumofsix. I was using ovulation tests and on day 12 spiked. But couldn't do ut until the next day.. not that night. Im not sure if it was that time or a day before o but we got pregnant. .so I think its possible! !

DH is a bit concerned about BDing tonight as we only just BD 2 nights ago and this pos opk has a little earlier than expected. But the 4 day BD is 4 days plus an additional attempt at pos opk right?? So will tonight be ok? My test is still positive this morning so I assume I haven't ovulated yet, although I do have some cramping today too. I so need to get pregnant this month as this is it before we stop til December, but would also hate to do anything to reduce the chances of pink. 😕

So testing question. I couldn't resist the urge to pee on a stick and I'm out of hpt's so I was using OPK's since I had read they can sometimes pick up hcg as well as the LH. I've gotten negatives so far but was curious if anyone had done this and gotten negative OPK's and then a positive hpt?

I am so annoyed at myself, I'm in the 2ww & planned not to test til Saturday morning when AF is due. But I tested this morning & it was negative. Which means nothing as I'm only 8 days past O but still I feel crappy. BLAH.

Oh mum trickey honey, personally I would go for it!!! Atomic recommends BD every four days plus an additional attempt if you have been on the diet for a while or its taken a wee while she recommended it to me after 3 attempts. Again personally I would do it, no month is perfect, look at me messing up a month with my opk drama!!! And if you don't get pregnant this month at least you tried and can come back rested and relaxed for December. Just my two cents good luck xxxx
Primal mama 8dpo is pretty early to test, hold out to 11dpo , but hey like I can talk I also tested at 8, 10 and 12 dpo this month!!! Poas addiction.

mum i really hope you went for it. If you BD 2 days before a positive OPK then by the time you O, it will be 3-4 days since your attempt anyway making it one functional attempt - there will be next to no sperm still alive and you need to get PG now. I would not hesitate to BD in your shoes and the past 2 months I have put my money where my mouth is and done this - both times we had BD 2 days before the pos OPK but we still BD on pos OPK (and failed to get PG anyway!)

Sometimes we get so caught up in 'we must do X' and sticking rigidly to something such as BD every 4 days that we dont realise we may be harming our chances to get PG in the first place. Yes it is possible to get PG from one attempt 4 days before O but when it has been going on for this long, do you really want to chance it? If worried, get DH to take a hot bath first or do an immediate J&D.

Please go for it hon - it HAS to be your month x

I don't know if the picture will show up when I post it or not but the HPT says Positive!!!!!!! I should be due around March 6th. Super excited both for the baby and that I can eat normal again haha! I was so excited I couldn't wait for my husband to get home so I texted him a pic of a hamburger bun in the oven and said do you know what this is? He was in a meeting and types back A piece of bread in the oven? What is so special about it?" I told him to guess again and finally just sent a pic of the test and said it's a "Bun in the Oven!" My goal this month is to stay stress free (helps I'm on summer break). my head is going to burst, i dont understand whats going on, i had af 7th june then i had a high opk on clearblue test on the morning of the 18th with discharge that night i retested and it was at peak fertility so we bd, for the past 2 days ive had crampy stomach pains no discharge just clear fluid really i was hopeing i might have got preggas but i done a opk clearblue test again yesterday n tha was negative but the one this morning n just now was at peak fertility again, i made hubby come home from work to bd lol, but how is this possible to ovulate twice in one month,

i was just thinking that if the pregnancy hormone can be detected in the clearblue opk, if i test with opk everyday now till next thurs which will be my pregnancy test day if the opk shows a peak fertility all the time do you think this would mean im most likely pregnant, because it should only show a peak for 2-3 days shouldnt it or am i reading wrong, x

Tomorrow is the new moon, a moon in Cancer (very girl sign) and it's the first time the Chinese gender charts have predicted girl for me ever. Sounds promisingly pink to me. I'm devastated and so confused :( have had nausea, vomitting, cramps, and dizziness all week. Have been getting positive hpt tests for the past 4 days since 11dpo. When I got my bfp this time I was bleeding (spotting) for a few days but still got stronger lines on the test, then the bleeding disappeared. I think it is quite common to have a light bleeding even when pregnant the first months.

I don't really know. I guess since the digital will be either positive or negative it won't give any info that you can't get with the sticks. With regular tests you might see if the line actually gets stronger. And digitals are less sensitive that others I believe, so I am not sure if they can help you to any conclusions even if it would be neg. I don't know haw fast hcg lowers if it's a chemical, but I would guess that it would get a lot fainter within a few days, and of course, a lot stronger if pg.

Well as of today I am 2 days late on AF... 😁 I have had bloating and a crampy feeling for 3-4 days now. If AF doesn't start tomorrow morning I will be testing. I have been pretty regular with my periods for the last 6 months but I did just stop the mini pill last month. The only other thing I'm doing different this month is folic acid. I've been dieting for about 4 months now. I'm a bit nervous if I am pg I really didn't expect it to happen so quickly. My last 2 were 3 months after I got off the pill.

Oh my!! You girls are really making me believe I'm not seeing things! If it's positive I'm hoping I did a good enough sway. DH and I have been on pretty good diets each losing weight! I take Zyrtec everyday (did with my 2 sons though too) and he's been on Allegra d daily too. And we had only 1 attempt!!! I did o but hopefully that won't matter too much. No prenatal only 1600 mcg folic acid.

Even a faint line like that is a positive on Hcg tests. When they're BFN's you see NADA, believe me, I just got through 6 months of them! So happy to have gotten a faint line last Sunday! Congrats on all the BFPs this month!

Girliedreamz - mine started getting dark last week then lighter then I was shocked yesterday that it went positive immediately! You may have missed it but also you may not have, your body may have geared up then changed it's mind. I do test twice a day when they start getting darker. I wouldn't have missed it this month but I would have last month if I didn't test twice.

Trying to catch up from Greece! I've had almost zero internet access, but now we are staying close to town and should have wi-fi from now on I hope! Today was my birthday actually! I took my first test yesterday at 12dpo and it was BFN! :( I've had zero signs at all and think I am out. AF is due tomorrow. I did have a strange temp dip on 11dpo, but then it went back up the next day. Seems too late for an implantation dip so I'm not holding my breath. If I'm out this month I can't try again till August since I won't be able to do diet, exercise, and all my supplements while in Greece and don't want to risk my sway.

Hello everyone! I know today is the last day of June so a new thread should be coming soon but I waned to go ahead and introduce myself in here. After a few months of debate we have decided to TTC pink again. I was on gender dreaming when I conceived my daughter using what I referred to as a "light sway." And now I'm a little nervous because we have made a couple of "attempts" this time that were not like the previous attempt (that resulted in DD). I put "attempts" in quotes because despite being on CD 18 and testing since CD 9 I have yet to get a positive ovulation test.

What I did last time:
-No LE diet I had blood sugar issues and gestational diabetes with my pregnancies so it is not good for me. I ate low carb though to keep blood sugars level
-RePHresh every 4 days
-Baby aspirin every other to every 3rd day
-Folic acid daily
-Frequent release for DH every day from CD 9 on
-hot bath before attempt
-2 attempts with shallow penetration upon getting a positive ovulation test (the smiley face kind). We did one attempt each day of the positive O test.

This Time:
-Same diet (actually for longer because I needed to for my health however I have slipped up a few days here and there)
-RePhresh every 4 days
-Same folic acid and aspirin
-Not as frequent release for DH but honestly because his desire is so low and he has been struggling with some gut/intestinal issues for a few months. Which I'm hoping these might mean his sperm count is lower anyway
-Biggest difference is in attempts
-Attempt on CD 9 (as in DH released inside not that I really think it counted as an attempt because I don't think I ovulated anywhere around that time usually I O between CD 14-16)
-Attempt on CD 16. Hot bath before this attempt
-Used Shallow penetration for both

I'm debating on what to do if I do receive a positive O test soon. If we should attempt again or not and I'm also wondering if I some how missed O. I tested at least once a day (most days twice) but in the past my test has been positive for 2 days in a row every time so I assumed I couldn't miss it.

I know that the later you implant the better chnace it's not tubal. It's when you implant super early it's a risk because the egg didn't have to travel much.

Yes I had positive OPK on sat and sun. We BD on sat the moment we knew the OPK would be positive - now I am worried it wasn't well timed, I would have BD last night to be sure but DH was out. I'm not holding my breath for success. At least I will be able to drink at my friends wedding on 19th....

MyByC- My positive opk was Tuesday and went negative on Thursday so thinking maybe ovulation was Thursday...so I'd only be 5dpo (well 5-7)??!!

Ugh I'm on CD 19 and still no positive OPK. I did have one rogue cycle almost a year ago that was 35 days so maybe that's happening again but the norm for me is 28-30 occasionally going 31-32. My tests aren't getting any darker either the darkest I had was on CD 13 but then it went back to being really light the next day. I have been using the IC strips as well as the clearblue smiley face ovulation test. I'm wondering if I missed it. I haven't been tracking ovulation as closely the past few months but when I did I always had positive OPKs for 2 days so I assumed I couldn't miss it. Has anyone had experience with this type of thing?

Odd - thank you, I'm just paranoid because I've had no thermal shift (looks like I'm a slow riser) and I had copious amounts of ewcm yesterday. Can't do anything about it now of course! Glad you are progressing well and fingers crossed this is your pink sticky one :)

Jamie - sometimes diet, exercise, travelling, stress etc might delay O. Or have you started any supps recently?

I started taking folic acid and aspirin a few weeks ago but those usually don't cause a change for me (not to say it couldn't now). The diet I'm currently doing I've been following since March. No travel and my stress is about where it usually is (I have an anxiety disorder so my stress is usually pretty high related to that). Although I guess now I might be delaying O by being stressed about O. I've been diffusing lavender all throughout my house and trying to relax more so maybe that will help. I'm wondering if maybe I missed O like perhaps something's changed and I will have to be more carful to know when it is happening. I only say that because I know some people who say they can miss O if they don't test twice a day and I never had that issue before but I know cycles change with time.

Yes I would have missed O last month if I hadn't tested twice. Different matter this month though! Are you BD every 4 days? If so you would be covered if you had missed O?

No we have only BD twice (CD 9 and CD 16). I was trying to do the same thing I did to conceive my DD which was one attempt at O so we've been waiting on O to BD. We BD on CD 9 because I thought that would be too early to affect anything and then again on CD 16 because we had a babysitter and I thought if I didn't O that day it would be the next. If we did miss it it's no big deal, we just decided to start trying at the beginning of June (been debating for months when to). Although at this point I just want to know where I stand and when to expect AF

Ok so as you are on CD19 today, keep testing and BD tomorrow - then you have all bases covered :)

Thanks! After I wrote it I was thinking I almost have it covered with those two and I hadn't thought of that before. Let's just hope my littles will go to sleep so we can BD! I'm using clearblue and overview as well, same time to check. Until now they both agreed.

I'm a little confused about this clearblue advanced because it says to test with FMU or you might get a "false positive" I thought it was usually the other way around...oh well just trying to relax and let it go. If you can't tell I'm a control freak who likes answers and I like them NOW haha.

Jamie - each brand is different, just follow whatever the instructions of that brand. I wished the cheap ones were FMU as I hate holding pee and trying not to drink!!

Yeah I generally do an internet cheapie and the clear blue together. This afternoon my IC looked darker so I used the clear blue and got "high fertility." The advanced has "high" and then "peak" so I think I am just Oing really late this cycle.
