Hi ladies,
Starting up the October 2ww. Good luck to everyone and I hope we see many bfps for the upcoming months!

Hi! I'm 9 dpo and feeling nothing so I'm guessing I'm out this month. I'm testing Wednesday, 12 dpo with a FRER. Starting to get really sick of swaying and TTC and considering quitting for awhile if this isn't our month. Hope to see lots of bfps here soon!

Hi Blue!
There are many women with bfps with no symptoms. I wouldn't count your self out just yet. Good Luck :) I also fed up with swaying too :( but ultimately we are better off trying a bit than look back and wished we had tried. I took a 2 month break and it helped me come back refreshed with a not to strenuous sway.

I'm with you bluebonnet! 9 dpo for me as well. Not much hope. AF is due tomorrow, usually evening. I plan on testing Wednesday also if no AF. Good luck!!

Hi ladies!

I am either 7 or 5 days DPO. I am not temping to know for sure, since it was causing me to obsess way too much. I too am not having any symptoms- I did with my boys early.

Hoping for BFP's for all of us and loads of pink dust! I hope I have the strength to keep ttcing- the girl sway is so hard!

Hey there ladies. I am in the 2ww yet again. +OPK yesterday. Fingers crossed our two attempts were enough. To those needing pink dust, here...have ALLLL of mine!! I am quite open to receiving any blue dust thrown my way ;)

yogi & kitkat- thanks for the encouragement, still feeling negative, but hope I get a big shock on Wednesday
fivebabies - any good news today at 10 dpo?
XX - I'm not temping either. I might take it up again next month if we decide to attempt. It's hard not knowing for sure if I'm 9 or 10 dpo today.
boysway - definitely take my blue dust :) thank you for the pink!! LOL

So I tested with a wondfo today (10 dpo?) and negative. Still saving my FRER for 12 dpo (Wednesday). With DS I got a BFP on 10 dpo and then with my m/c I didn't get a BFP until 14 dpo, so part of me is scared the fact that I'm not getting a BFP at 10 dpo means either I'm not pg or I will have another m/c if I'm pregnant. I realize this is crazy and irrational. The 2WW will drive you crazy like that! I was naughty on the diet this weekend (tons of birthday parties and social engagements), but I'm back to strict LE today! I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for another month (or more) of LE but it's rough! After 6 months on the diet I'm so over it!

Boysway- PLEASE take all of my blue dust! GL!

I hope we all get BFP's this month! I am waiting to test this Friday or Sunday, since I will either be 12 or 15 dpo. I feel pretty relaxed and good about things. We'll see! FX!

10dpo today...took a cheapo test. BFN. I expected that. I have back cramping today so pretty sure I'm going to be officially out by this evening. My usual LP is 7/8 days so that is my only hope.

Who's testing next??

Aymie
September 29th, 2014, 02:49 PM
I'm 4 DPO and already I feel like I have been waiting forever. This is our first cycle trying. DH asked me 2 days ago if I think it's a boy or girl. I was like, "What the hell? I haven't even got a positive pregnancy test! I don't wanna get my hopes up!" But he really believes he/she is in there. *sigh* I hope so too. Good luck to everyone out there. :)

September 29th, 2014, 02:53 PM
I am seeing a lot of you taking your tests at 10 DPO and such. Is it likely to get a result that early? I have plenty of WONDFO ones at home but I doubt they are for early testing. I may have to go splurge and get an early response one, because I can't wait to know!

I am 7DPO today (posted on the september thread). I have sore boobs, vivid dreams... that's about it. Dying to test but its so early. I am sending you all that need it my BOY DUST in exchange for some girl power that I desperately need!! I hope i'm pg cause i'm def not wanting to continue this diet. I just want a big plate of chocolate chip cookies with 4 glasses of milk. haha

Linzshine,
Sounds like my same exact symptoms that let to my recent bfp. Good luck, you have a great chance for a bfp. :) p.s. i saw my bfp at 9 dpo.

bluebonnet22
September 29th, 2014, 06:24 PM
Aymie - it's possible to get a positive on a wondfo at 10 dpo (but odds are VERY low, under 10%). Odds are better with a FRER, but then they are so expensive comparatively! For my m/c cycle, I got a positive on a wondfo earlier (13 dpo) than FRER (14 dpo). I wouldn't waste a FRER at 10 dpo. I'm starting with FRER on 12 dpo personally.

Im crossing into Oct as part of my 2WW and if we get to attempt again right away should this one not take and because I had to have a colposcopy today, my second 2WW will end on Halloween... Oh joy LOL two 2ww in one month!

September 30th, 2014, 01:46 AM

September 30th, 2014, 06:35 AM
Nahri - I will have 2 in October as well.. YAY.. AF is due Halloween next cycle (due 10/3 this cycle). Hopefully we are both pg right now so it's irrelevant :)

Still no symptoms. Definitely expecting a BFN on FRER tomorrow. Still haven't lost all 5 lbs of weight from my loss pregnancy. I guess if I have to do this another month I can really buckle down and focus on losing those last 2-3 lbs? Trying to see the silver lining, but it's hard ladies!

Care if I join??? Today is cd1 for me. This is our first month ttc a girl and my 1st month off bcp:).

I have been diligent about the exercising(that's not the hard part for me). Also been good at keeping my cal, protein and fat # in the right range. Having a hard time with not snacking on my little ones Cheerios (and fruit loops...) I can get to about noon before I eat for the day, but after that I feel like I have 4 small meals (350 calories at 12, 3:30, 6:30 then 9). I am going to work on having two larger meals a day instead of the 4 small for this next month.

Fingers crossed we catch our first egg, but I know everyone wants that :) We got pregnant with both our boys on our first try's, but age is starting to work against me...

Fx for July babies!!!!!

Hi, I'll join in!
We had our attempt TTC pink on the 23rd sept when we got a pos opk, so I guess I am 8dpo.

Have you girls ever felt any symptoms so early? (I am new to this! Las time we weren't TTC and didn't realise I was pregnant until I was 7 weeks gone!).

I had some dizzy spells for a couple of days last week, and then sore boobs for the last 5 days or so, but surely it's wishful thinking?!

Good luck everyone!

Hey ladies. I am 8 dpo today. Started cramping pretty bad yesterday and tingling nipples as well as some nausea. Good signs for a future bfp for me. I am not religious but I have been praying to the universe like crazy for a sticky bean. I hope they are answered.

Hey, I'm jumping over here from the September 2WW... I tested this morning at 10dpo and it looked negative with a little bit of a very, very, very faint line, but since no one else was in the house to verify it, I may have been making the whol thing up in my head. I'll check again tomorrow morning.... but the very interesting thing was that I had colustrum in both boobs this morning which is DEFINITELY not usual for me.... fingers crossed that I will finally get a BFP!! And hopefully the colostrum means that I will not have as many supply issues as I had with DS#1....

I thought I would join the 2ww a little early. I am only on cd10 but I am starting to have aches, last time they lasted a few days before I O'd. I am going to the Dr in a few hours to see how close I am.

AF is due on DS3's 2nd birthday! At least I can test before that weekend because I will be to busy the entire time. If I get a BFP I can pretend my excitement is for my son since I do not want to announce something about myself on my sons special day.

I too keep popping over from the September thread 😀

Keeping you in my prayers Rosie!

I hope we all get our BFP's soon! I too have symptoms- intermittent nausea, sore nipples, and I am thirsty all the time. We'll see. I will test this weekend. I just fear AF is going to come. I was sick before and after pos. opk. so I am wondering if that has messed up my cycle. Trying to keep my hopes up.

Keeping FX for all of us!

I'm going to join early, today is cd 6 for me! OH convinced me there's no need to sway for our first, so officially I'm team green. No swaying. Just ttc. (FX for a little girl though) hope I can still gather with you ladies even though I'm not taking on the challenge of swaying.

We've been attempting like crazy and it's not even O time. We really want to catch this egg! Last month we missed it somehow even though we BD numerous days. I've been a lot more relaxed this time than I was last cycle. Less nervous I suppose. DTD is feeling a lot more intimate now that we're ttc so that's nice.

GL to all you ladies testing soon! September was disappointing, I want to see some BFP's :HH:

Going to join in too, I'm post ovulation day 6, I have those cheap Wondfo tests, so I've been taking them every day, knowing it won't show up yet, but just in case :) TMI alert but tons of gas here, and I had some pelvic cramping today. I feel like I am pregnant, but almost don't want to jinx it by thinking that, you know? This 2ww makes me nuts!

I finally got my FF crosshairs and ovulated exactly when I thought I did. I will be testing mid October. In saying that, last cycle I O on CD 16 as well and LP was 12 days, not 14. So, I could test in just over a week.

Okay, so my DH and my mom confirmed that I am not crazy, I got a very, very, very faint BFP this morning on a FRER and a very faint positive on an internet cheapie tonight. Finally, a BFP!! This was our 3rd month trying, so I am very happy to see anything that looks promising. I'm glad we dropped the repHresh/sylk this month, because it seems like that was definitely what was keeping us from getting preggo. Let's hope it sticks! Bring on the cheeseburgers!!

Huge congrats Christi!!!! Definitely enjoy the cheeseburger!!!!!!!!

I'm 12-13 dpo here (AF is due tomorrow). After the negative on FRER yesterday and zero symptoms I really don't even want to test today. I will test again tomorrow if I still don't feel AF symptoms. I woke up yesterday with a massive sore throat (and it's worse today). Swaying has made me a crazy person - I don't mind being sick (because it helps the sway), but I'm so pissed I've caught this cold in the wrong time in my cycle to help much.. LOL. I'm more annoyed I've had to take 2 days off exercise because I just don't feel up to going (as much as I'd like to).

I'm so upset. I think I'm out. Started spotting red last night around 9pm at 9dpo and this morning it's heavier and darker red spotting at 10dpo. I'm cd 25 now and NEVER GET af this early so I'm def confused but I don't think this is implantation bleeding as it's not pink it's red. Ugh. I really really thought I was pregs!

OMG this is NOT fair. What does a WHITE line on a FRER mean? The control line is the color its supposed to be but the line for a positive test is white. Bluebonnet- I am with you waiting to test. AF is late today, but I am waiting until Saturday to test. AF is notorious for showing up late for me when I don't want her to!

Aw, Rosie. Sorry. I seem to be good at the waiting to test thing. I am soooooo tired of the LE that I kinda don't want to even hope by testing! Thanks everyone, I am over the moon happy right now!

Linz, I am so sorry, that really sucks! How many months is this for you?

Nahri, I agree, that seems like a defective test. I don't even understand how it could be white? Wouldn't that just blend into the background which is white anyway? I guess I don't even really understand what you mean by a "white" line.

XX, I know you were on a pretty close cycle as me, so I am eagerly awaiting to hear your results!

Bluebonnet, I am sorry you are sick and hopefully you will feel better soon. That was me last cycle, it was past O, so I wasn't sure if I was preggo, so I didn't want to take anything that would make me feel better, and then in the end, I wasn't preggo. It was frustrating. I think you are right to wait another day before testing again, but for what it is worth, my barely positive on FRER at 11dpo took like 30 minutes to appear, so don't lose faith until AF shows up.

FX for lots more BFP this month!!

Nothing special here. Just finishing up my AF which there hardly any of it left. Somewhat crampy just because I added B12, baby aspirin and lots of green tea. I hope this dreadful week flies. Nahri
October 2nd, 2014, 06:04 PM
Christi- This is not my test because I have been gone all day and that test now reads a faint pos. (PLEASE LET IT BE SO) This is an image I found from another board and this is exactly what mine looked like a perfect white line (9 hours of stored up fmu) but the pee turned the rest of the strip colors. It showed up almost immedately. I have purchased a new box of FRER I have the Clear Blue digitals on standby for the day I need to confirm a pos result. A lot of people say they got their BFP just days after the white line but some also got a BFN.. Lots of cases of this in many other forums. SO I guess it could go either way21274

Id bet it will be a bfp nahri!

I am practically having a panic attack ladies. I am so stressed. Im terrified of being pregnant because I feel like its pointless and will end in miscarriage and I am terrified of not being pregnany because I don't want to wait. Ive always gotten pregnant first try every time so if I dont im scared it means something is wrong with me. Feel like either way is a lose. Ive never had anxiety over this sort of thing. I know the stress is bad for baby if I am pregnant but I just cant help it. Ack. Thanks for letting me vent.

Christi
October 2nd, 2014, 07:11 PM
I bet that is going to be a positive nahri... Fx for you!!

Rosie, I am so sorry you have been through so much and sympathize with the anxiety you are feeling now after back to back losses. I wish there was something any of us could say to make you feel better, but my guess is that there are some things that words just can't express. I know someone who had two losses who has gone onto have one healthy pregnancy and is about 16 weeks into her second with no issues. She had fibroids and had to have them removed before she was able to get preggo, so I hope you are working with your doctor to make sure something like that isn't messing with your ability to carry a baby. Hang in there....

As for me, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first day of being pregnant and indulging on lots of non-le diet foods. For lunch I had a Kobe beef burger covered in lobster, truffle ailoi, Brie and bacon.... It was amazing... I could only eat half of it because it was so over the top rich, but omg, it was amazing!

Rosie. I can understand your fear and anxiety. I had a m/c between DD#1 and DD#2, when DD#1 was 3 months old. I was so terrified it was going to happen again when I did fall pregnant again, I didn't have it confirmed at the doctors till I was about 15 weeks along :( Huge :hugs:

Afm, 4 dpo. We're going away for the weekend with Miss 4, my eldest two are staying with their father for the school holidays. It should be a good weekend away. So sorry to hear XX and Linz....

I want to put this question out to anyone who has been "swaying" for more than one cycle, are you doing anything differently from cycle to cycle? For me, I did the most ridiculously aggressive sway for our first cycle, BFN. The next cycle I backed off on the use of repHresh and Sylk (i.e. I used less), but still BFN. The third cycle, I dropped them entirely, and BFP. Yay! Is this what others are doing (not necessarily specifically repHresh/sylk, but the strategy of dropping things). Just curious about what others are doing....

Nahri, I'd be a bit crazy too. Did you get a second "white" result?

Fivebabies, I don't think there is anything is wrong with you. If you are swaying for a girl (which is my assumption), you are doing lots to try to reduce your chances of conception. You probably just have one or two things that are just a little too much. I don't know what your swaying tactics are, but I couldn't get pregnant with the use of any jellies. Atomic was the same way, which is why she advised me to drop it. If you are using those, i would consider dropping them.

In 2011 I tried for 11 cycles... Diet for mths before that. I tried crazy stuff for the first few mths and then changed a few things here and there. The only things I didn't mess with was some of the pills and supps. I did get sad after every bfn because I had signs of being prego but I think stopping the cranberry pills at O may have messed up something and caused the egg to not stay attached. When I finally got prego it was after giving up everything and enjoying the typical Christmas feast. I had planned to give up and sell all baby stuff and then DH decided he didn't want to stop so we pretty much did a half ass try with a few supps we had left and added soy and got preg right away with DS3.

Fivebabies I'm with you! I'm not swaying just FX for my BFP. I want a baby now!!! :baby2:

Purplepoet what days did you take soy and how much did you take? how many cycles did you try it?

XX and Linz hang in there girls! I think towards the end of October we're all going to see a lot of BFP's :)

I have such a good feeling about this month. I'm very relaxed and just excited, I'm looking forward to Halloween as well.

Yogi today's cd 8... we BD early this morning. I also take baby aspirin, not b6 though. What is the green tea and b6 supposed to help with?

Realised this morning that my BMI has got down to 18 now so had a couple of DH's chocolate cookies after my veggie stir fry tonight! :) Still no PG or O symptoms for me so I've not bothered testing. Maybe next week if still no AF.

Thanks ladies! I am doing better now, mentally. The diet, I am on the PCOS version, has really changed my cycle drastically. I am still nursing my 16mo old 4-6x a day still. At first we did no supp., then cycle 2 we did Vitex AF-O. That messed me up! Last cycle, 3, I got very sick before and after o. I think that dropped my condition too low. Besides fiber and folic acid, I take myo-inositol and a choline supp. I have to take these even when not swaying for other health reasons.

For cycle 4, we are dropping the Sylk, even though we only use a little for lube. Last time we did bd every four days instead of at pos. opk, but our attempt ended up the night before my pos. opk. I think that timing along with being sick caused a BFN.

We are still going to do bd every 4 days and see if that works again. 4 is my lucky number, so hopefully it won't fail me now! 😃

It's funny how some days you can just do LE with your eyes shut so to speak, and other days you're thinking of food ALL DAY! We have friends over this weekend and shared pizzas and salad for lunch. My plan was to have two small slices, which I did, but then there were three small pieces leftover at the end. So while tidying up the kitchen and stacking the dishwasher I unconsciously (well mostly) ate them! Luckily I've looked it up and as a thin margherita it will only have been about 600 cals but a bit high in protein and fat! Ooops. Dinner tonight is veggie fajitas, so I should be able to stick to my dailies if I avoid the guac! Fingers crossed I don't gorge!

I know you're right. Last time I swayed I let my rules down a little at AF. This time as I've no idea where I am in my cycle or even if I am having cycles yet! So I am trying hard to stick to LE every single day! Especially the skipping breakfast and not snacking bit, just in case it's implantation time! Just a little frustrated as I didn't really choose to have a yummy treat and enjoy it (like I did with biscuits the other day), I just ate the pizza without really thinking. Hey ho.

Thinking about you all lots!

Christi,
Fertile Focus is an aid to help let you know when you are approaching ovulation. Its a microscope where you put saliva and as you progress during your cycle you will see crystallization which means you are approaching ovulation. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/04/128790f2271f9d8758f87ece31526d73.jpg

I agree. I like to choose to have a cheeky day though, so I can look forward to it and enjoy doing it, rather than eat too much by mistake! I enjoyed my veg fajitas and wine with our friends last night but also had a little apple strudel and custard. Yum! Today we took them out for lunch before they caught a train home. I had a veggie burger in a bun with no mayo and a small portion of fries. Also had a spoonful of DH's icecream! Yummy. So tonight I'm back on the LE wagon. Planning on finishing the last two Weight Watcher's wraps with some veg and salad. I'll let DH finish the strudel and custard!

I've been staring at the one FRER I have in the drawer, wondering when to bother using it. But decided yesterday to order some more internet cheapies as I think I want to test again soon. I had high hopes for September so my October hopes aren't great now :( I'm not usually pessimistic but we don't want to conceive in November again (DS2 and DS3 are mid August birthday - two days apart) so if we miss out on a BFP in October, we'll have to skip a month. It'll be hard to do LE then.

I agree scheduling cheat meals. I had a three cheat meals this cycle, so now I am tightening up!!

I am having a hard time. I am disappointed that I didn't get a BFP this cycle. If October is not my month, I too will have to decide if we are skipping November, since DS1 was conceived then.

I am stressed, tired, and not very hopeful for this cycle. DS2 is sick again, and I am coming down with it too. I was sick this time last cycle, and BFN.

On the bright side, I don't eat much when I am sick and tend to lose weight! I am also looking forward to Halloween, since DS2 can enjoy it now that he is older.

Thanks for listening!

XXforhubby don't skip a month because your son was conceived that month , if its because you don't want lots.birthdays etc in one month than by all means skip away! I just think it barely sways and you don't really want to be on LE for any longer than you have too! Just my advice take it with a grain of salt X

After 7 months on the diet and having skipped 3 months for different reasons (didn't want Christmas/New Years baby, etc) I'd say DON'T skip! I really wanted to get pregnant back in May or June so that I'd go through the horrible morning sickness stage when the kids were out of school and I didn't have to get up super early, drive carpool, etc. It didn't happen though and my best friend (who swayed with me) said I probably wouldn't get pregnant till September, which is when I got pregnant with DS2. She said my body probably just likes getting pregnant then (fall/winter). She was right, and here I am with pretty much the exact same due date that I had with DS2 (May 29th this time, May 31st last time)! I give birth in my 38th week so looks like I'll be birthing right on DS2's birthday! Definitely NOT what I wanted but oh well!

Rosie - please don't beat yourself up! Wanting a daughter is normal and doesn't cause bad karma, promise! I often blame the sway for my m/c as well, but I'm nearly certain it was random luck and wasn't caused by my sway.

So to update everyone else.... Today is CD1 for me. I'm taking it really well, actually. I was nervous about getting pg right after my m/c anyways so maybe it's meant to be. I ovulated 4 full days after my first positive OPK so our timing was screwed up. I think we DTD O-4 and on ovulation day. Not great odds for conception.

It looks like many of us might be taking a break in November for various reasons. I'm nearly certain we will take November and December off because we need a mental break from TTC and really really prefer to avoid August/September due dates. Also we have 2 big vacations planned and would prefer not to be pg for them.

Since this is my last month TTC for awhile, I'm really going to give it my all. I will likely do every 4 days PLUS an attempt at positive OPK. I said I was going to do that last month but I chickened out and I'm not pregnant so maybe it's time to listen to my gut and up my odds of conception a little bit. I'm trying to be very strict on the diet and exercise this month since really that's all that's left of my weakened sway!

Thanks for listening to my essay and congrats on all the BFPs. Hope the rest of us can join you soon :)

For someone who has so much courage to keep trying, I know it will happen. Please do not stop believing in yourself- your dream WILL come true!

Im seeing things.... I thought I was down and out because yet another negative test yesterday, but I tested this morning with a wondfo strip and used an OPK as backup as well since they sometimes show positive. There is a light but visible line on the HCG strip and no not one of those break out the magnifying glass, stand on the toilet so you are closer to the light kinda faint lines. So maybe there was success this time? Im not celebrating FULLY till doc confirms just because of this whole messed up colposcopy business and it always takes extra time for a BFP to show for me. I just told hubby he could eat meat again I don't know which hes happier about HAHA

My DD was born very ill, and almost died, and I said the same thing, it was karma for wanting a DD. But you know what? It isn't true. Having a desire for a gender isn't a 'bad' thing that deserve karma coming to bite you. It isn't like you are not caring and loving to your sons because they aren't girls. Hugs to you mama

And Rosie-- please don't give up. Did you have a BFP this cycle or did AF just show up? I definitely don't think you are being punished for wanting a DD. October 7th, 2014, 12:47 AM
Yay Nahri!!!! That is definitely a positive! My EDD is June 14th, so we will be at almost the exact same spot the entire pregnancy. Yay!

Rosie, I am so sorry to hear you are so stressed about the miscarriages. I don't think it is karma for wanting a girl, but it is clearly very troubling to you (understandably). I don't know what your situation is, but I hope that you have someone that you can talk to to try to work through some of the stress and anxiety you are feeling. Perhaps if you can talk through some of it, perhaps you can learn to believe everything everyone else is telling you. Or at least grieve the loss and be able to move forward in a way that works for you.

As for those who are considering skipping a month, I think it is a very personal decision. I think it comes down to whether you think you would be secretly hoping for a BFN that month. If you would be, then skipping it is fine. But if you think you would be happy with a BFP even if it meant the due date was not at the ideal time, then skipping that month is probably not right for you.

Good luck to everyone!!! Hoping to see lots more BFPs this month!

October 7th, 2014, 02:21 AM
I skipped a month just to get back on track with my diet. I was very strict except for my 2 cheat meals a month but we got over run with family gatherings/dinners I would just say oh I am on a diet which kept most food from getting crammed down my throat but not all. Sometimes a month off just really helps to reset your stress level as well. No pee sticks, no possibility of disappointment, and if you or DH is worn out then no BD to worry about either. Do something nice for yourself and just relax for a month and pick it back up again later!

Only just 9 dpo (it's just past 12am here). I'm torn as to when I should test. I O on CD 16 this cycle and anytime I O on CD 16, my LP is always 12 days. Argh! I don't know. kasey - With DS2 I had a lot of very bad thoughts and wishes when I found out he was a boy. But when he was born with a large skin growth on his ear I was so afraid of what caused that. The Dr said he could have a problem with his kidneys or hearing and ran a bunch of test for the last 4 years. He is healthy except for a few allergies. But I feel that because I prayed for God to take him back so I could have a girl, God gave him something to scare me into loving him. I do love him so much now and he has always been a mamas boy. I wouldn't trade him for a girl ever! We did have the ear tag removed because a few kids called him Shrek and I flipped out and kept him inside until it was removed.

Nahri - Congrats that looks like a BFP.

So I O'd yesterday... DH knew something was up because I was super crabby and super tired all day. CD16 today. I may start to test in 5-7days. With DS3 I started to see a faint line early and he was a twin. I don't want twins but I would like to know if an early BFP is normal for me or maybe means twins.

I did take clomid... 25mg from cd3-9 and then 50 cd10. We had family show up for the weekend and I didn't want anyone seeing the pills. They know we want more kids but we don't like to talk about it everyone.

I hate all the waiting in pregnancy... wait to get preg, wait to get bfp, wait for gender, wait for baby. I am so glad this will be my last.

I like to think the diet is working, but I always second guess myself. Did I have too many cheat meals (I can't do cheat days- I would never recover!) Did I eat too many of the wrong foods? I like to think the diet is working, but I always second guess myself. Did I have too many cheat meals (I can't do cheat days- I would never recover!) Did I eat too many of the wrong foods? Is the PCOS diet too healthy for me? Ugh! I just want to forget about all this and get my BFP! Knowing my luck, I will still be ttcing by Christmas! It has already been four months!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I could practically have written your post :) I'm a really bouncy positive person who's stuck to LE amazingly well (better than last time) the whole way through with hardly a cheat meal (just some creative accounting). BUT as I've still not had AF since stopping BF in July (yeah I know, three months!!!) I keep thinking that the diet has changed my chemistry too much! I conceived my three boys at the first attempt (more or less) and we've now been DTD every four days for over two months now. So I feel confused. Part of me is glad I'm less fertile by not conceiving yet, but the other part of me is just desperate to get PG now. Argh! I absolutely LOVE this site. I love the way we can vent and rant and worry and everyone supports us.

Anyhoo, I've been so proud of how well I've stuck to LE. The only cheats I've had have been very minor and mostly just over in cals rather than protein or fat. I really, truly feel I have done the best sway I could possibly do. I've eaten so differently to my normal diet and quite differently to my last sway. Now I just want a BFP so I can get on with eating whatever I fancy! Argh. Tonight DH is away for a few days, so I had a garlic and mushroom crepe (ready meal so nice and processed, unlike anything I'd normally eat) and reduced fat oven chips, with white wine. Pretty LE meal I think. But we've all got colds in our family atm and that makes me hungry. I hope I'm hungry cos I'm ovulating too but I've been monitoring my CP and CM for a while now and haven't seen anything of note. I just want either a BFP or at least evidence that I am ovulating again!!! Thanks ladies xxx

I'm currently on CD26 which puts me at 9DPO. I took clomid CD5-9 and ovulated CD17. At 3DPO I started having a super heavy strange feeling in my uterus, and at around 5-6DPO I started with light nausea which has gotten much worse. I know lots of people have false pregnancy symptoms with Clomid but I had nothing when I used it and got pregnant with my son. My OB ordered a HCG Quant and a progesterone which they drew today and I got a call this afternoon that the quant was negative (0). I know it can be too early but I had hoped it'd show even a tiny bitty amount. Last night the nausea woke me out of a dead sleep and I had dreams of seeing two lines all night. I think I'm losing my mind! LOL Gonna keep using my internet cheapies and dollar tree tests until AF shows her face. I hate the 2ww!!

Omg! I was soooo close to buying a hpt today. My bbs are so sore and I have a lot of cramping today which isn't usual for this time of the month. I am trying so hard not to look too much into it. I figure I wasn't meant to buy a test today though. I walked into the shop and ran into a work mate, then I saw my Mum (who doesn't know we're ttc). I figured it wasn't meant to be. Plus, I bought 50 hpt's on Ebay the other day, they were sent out today.

Congrats, Nahri!!! You inspire me!

Rosie, do whatever you need to do to honor the lives that were inside you. I had a m/c with my first and made new curtains for the room I hoped would be a nursery someday. If you are sure that you want to keep trying, maybe you should take a break from the diet and just work on getting yourself to optimal health. Or you might want to get tested to see if there's some genetic disorder you're at risk for and you just got lucky the first couple of times? Don't wallow in despair, get up and take action! *HUGS*

Boysway, I hope to see some peeing going on soon! ;-)

I also took (and currently take) Clomid. I had O pain at my normal unmedicated O time, again a few days later, and then a mild pain 3 days before AF.

I did notice that some people will have another egg released a few days to a week after the first. My Dr even told me to DTD from end of AF to the start of the next one. He said that it is very common to have false O pains around the normal time you will O but not have a healthy egg. Sometimes even test strips can pick up the start of fertility but it last longer then normal. The only true way to know O is to monitor with u/s.

Doh! I stupidly sat down to check my emails, facebook etc with a coffee and a packet of Lotus caramelised biscuits (know the ones? spekuloos/caramel flavour?). So have unconsciously eaten most of the packet! Doh! Probably about 900cals! Luckily I had had a good LE day so far so have definitely gone over, but mostly in sugar not protein/fat. Whoops. I'll be on the ball again tomorrow.

How's everyone coping with the waiting game? DH is away till Friday so without him to chat to, my thoughts keep dwelling on the whole TTC thing. I may test tomorrow but am scared to do it as I think it'll be BFN again :(

It's frustrating for you weezie. I was lucky that my AF arrived 6 weeks after stopping BF. If you don't get your BFP it may worth a visit to the GP???
I finally got my positive opk this evening! Day 21 ( think delay was caused by my chemical pg last month ...last time I ovulated on day 22 I conceived twins!
So tonight's the night.... month 5.... wish us luck!!!

ThinkinPink, that sounds promising but just a little early. For what it is worth, with DS#1, I saw my OB on 11DPO and my HCG test came back negative, but a few days later, I got my BFP. Hopefully that will happen to you too.

Nahri, YAY!!!

Boysway, I am on pins and needles waiting to hear what happens. Fingers crossed for you!

As luck would have it, my littler guy has slept through the night for the last week so I'm going to go back to temping this month and see where it takes me. Now to get my rear in gear in terms of my sway. sageviolet
October 10th, 2014, 09:29 AM
That's interesting about the sways affecting cycle lengths. I don't notice any difference in mine other than my lp is shorter than it was before I had dd. I am still bfing a little. I've monitored things over the past 6 months and worked to get my lp up to 12 days so hopefully I can sustain a pregnancy. It was 14 days before dd, but that was also shortly after a m/c.

Boysway, wow, 50 tests! Sounds like you're going to have a good time, lol. I have a fresh batch of 25 I ordered recently, and I'm eager to use them. I might start on Sunday, but I know there isn't much chance of a positive until Monday or Tuesday.

October 10th, 2014, 10:22 AM
boysway... my cycles have gone up to about 30-32 days with any diet I have been on to sway for a girl. When I eat more red meat my cycles are anywhere from 26-28 days. During the summer month I eat red meat 2-4 days a week. But with temp outside above 100 I do not want to cook inside most days. So we BBQ by the pool!

I have noticed with the increase of meat in peoples diets they are also exposing themselves to more hormones, chemicals, and so on. Even with organic or grass fed beef all is the same. When someone realizes the true amount of protein that is needed it is crazy to thing how much you are exposing yourself to and the effects of it.... with my boys I would eat 80-100g of protein a day and sometimes more. I can eat an entire chicken in one meal sometimes when I am preparing for a bike race. And when it comes to steak I want my plate covered and not just a small bite.

It's all in the food we eat!

4dpo and I decided to test with a walmart .88 one, just for fun. So far nothing but I wasn't expecting anything!

I made homemade Chicken Pot Pie last night and after 1/2 a cup I could eat anymore and felt sick to my stomach. I can't wait till I can eat food again. Since I had a major stomach bug I am barely up to a few cups of solid food. At least I can maintain the cals I need.

Dh and I had words tonight and right now, I don't want anymore kids. I'm sick of him not helping. When I spoke to him about it and other things he just made me feel like crap :( He even asked if I was angry because I'm not pregnant. So now the kids will likely know we were TTC. He also told me if my moods were going to be like this then we will just 'can' having another baby.

Boysway..It's so hard when ttc. Me and dh had a massive argument last month on the night we had to dtd. I didn't know whether to just let it go knowing full well he wouldn't dtd after a big row or to tell him what I was feeling. Why is it when you get to a crucial point in your cycle then the really big arguments happen? 99% of the time he is happy to try for another one but it's that 1% of the time that he says he doesn't want anymore that is really upsetting.

I've just been relaxing, focusing a lot on cooking and spending time with our pets. TMI!! I can't tell this cycle if I have cm or not because I'm constantly leaking semen, which is making it hard to know whether or not I have any ewcm or if I'm close to O. But like I said, I'm just going to relax. This is my 2nd cycle off BCP and 2nd cycle ttc. Last cycle was 33 days long. I took soy iso days 3-7 last cycle and EPO up to what I thought was O... this cycle I'm just taking my prenatals, so we'll see :)

Thank you yogi! I wish I knew when/if I've ovulated yet. I'm cd17 so if my cycle was going to be as long as the last one, 33 days, and assuming my lp is 14 days I should O on like cd 19. I'm hoping last month was just a fluke and O was delayed with the BCP, soy, epo, and everything else. Maybe I've already O'd. I wish I could see some ewcm so I'd at least have an idea!

Me+4- haha thank you! We're really trying! It helps that OH is a complete hornball. He can't take his hands off of me! It's not too tiring though, it seems to work out like once in the morning, once in the evening before dinner and then one right before bed. It's helped a ton with relaxing :)
Last night he had way too much to drink with some of his pals so this morning he wasn't feeling too great. Today we only had the one try. I'm going to go to bed early so none later on.

I haven't felt any O pains yet. Is it possible that so much BD could negatively effect cm?

yogi&booboo

Tigerlily,
I think you haven't ovulated yet. It can interfere with your cm but it should not stop you seeing some in between your bd's. I bd this morning and at around noon I did a cm check and it was somewhat creamy. Try checking your cm by putting a clean finger to the tip of your cervix.

For some reason this weekend I didn't do as well as usual on LE. I only went over a little, we had guests for dinner so there were pre-dinner drinks, peanuts, a big Indian dinner with samosas and bhajis etc, so I over-ate. But I didn't do too badly. The main thing I noticed was I wanted to snack all the time, just one biscuit here, just one glass of wine there. Really interesting as I've stuck quite easily to 2 or 3 meals a day for months. My optimistic side is hoping it means a change in hormones. It could just be my default gluttony kicking back in!

Yogi-
I'm not sure if I will then :( I've only had noticeable discharge twice this cycle (that wasn't semen). The first was just a lot of watery nothing on the evening of cd 13 (It was a Wednesday and I stayed up late that evening to watch the first episode of the new season of American Horror Story!) and the second time was today around lunch, cd 18, but it's the tacky, creamy, white lotion kind. It kind of bummed me out so I went to the restroom to check cp and it's about medium height and hard as a ball... I'm testing on the 29th.

Fingers crossed everyone! 8 DPO here, and the only two signs I have been having is tired and my breasts are tender which they don't get before AF since I have had kids. But that's it. I really hope it took this month. I really don't want to have to do IVF.

The show is really great! They have all of season 1 and 2 on Netflix. One of the coolest things about it, in my opinion, is that it's a different story with different characters, but mostly the same actors every season. So to watch season 4 you don't need to have a clue about any season prior :)
FX for our BFPS!!! What day do you start testing on Yogi? I want to avoid all the early test bfn disappointment fiasco from last cycle.

Oh then that's on my todo list for this weekend Tigerlily!! Im super excited now:D.

I haven't ovulated yet :( I think i am having delayed ovulation because of my chemical from last month :( but i am opk testing daily up to 3 or 4 times a day because I am an addict lol. I hope to ovulate soon  because im starting to loose my patience. I usually ovulate by cd17 which is today :(

Patiently waiting to ovulate....... It should be today and I just don't think it's going to happen, any time soon anyway. I am getting very irritated with myself:/. My opk's were starting to get darker over the weekend, I tested again last night before bed and the test line was barely visible? What's up with that??

Hey ladies. Congrats love!! I didnt read back...any other bfps??

Im still deciding if I want to try this cycle or not...dh is really pushing it. I go in on thursday for testing. I really think I am perimenopausal and that could be where my infertility is coming from. I have every symptom of it. My period last go around was so heavy I couldn't leave the house. Just awful.

Good luck to the rest of you all still waiting to test!

LoveSunshine - Massive congrats!!!

Rosie - You are so, so young. I would be shocked if you are perimenopausal, but I guess it's possible? I had a much heavier period than normal following my m/c (as in a full month after my m/c), I wonder if the D&C, etc contributed? AF this month was the worst I've had in probably a year (it came 31 days after my m/c started). No idea if that's just me or if that is a pattern. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Me+4 - I guess you will know if you are pg by Saturday so it will be an easy decision! Good luck!

Today is CD9 for me, and we are having our every 4 days attempt today (even though I don't normally ovulate until CD13-CD16 time frame). We will wait to BD again until positive OPK (even if it means waiting 5 or 6 days). I have always gotten a positive OPK so hopefully that is the case this cycle as well. The only problem is I leave for a trip without DH on CD14-CD19 so I'm really hoping I get my positive before I leave so we don't miss my fertile window. This was going to be our last try until 2015 so I hope I at least get a chance in ! If I don't get a positive before I fly out we will BD the morning I leave and hope for the best.

Hi every body! I'm not sure when I ovulated but I'm pretty sure it was last Monday or Tuesday. I know its to early to test but I did anyway. And I got a faint line during the 3 minutes. I'd post it but I can't figure out how.

I am indeed young but my mom finished her menses at 38. So it snt too farfetched for me sadly. Luckily perimenopause can take up to 10 years. ..I would just need hormone therapy to get pregnant.

Bluebonnet... I'll only be 8dpo on Saturday and I've never had an early positive!
Just found out today that a friend I gave "boy sway" tips to is pregnant with twins! I'm looking forward to seeing what she has...she will find out on scan.

Anybody else due to test soon?

October 14th, 2014, 05:30 PM
Congrats Lovesunshine!

So as a joke with my friend I took a test at 8dpo, never in a million years did i think anything would show up. I totally forgot about it and went into the bathroom an hour later and there is a line. It is faint, but visible. It is invalid, right? I don't know how I would feel if it is positive at 8DPO. I know I released 3 eggs and I am terrified that there are multiples if it is in fact positive at 8dpo

Congrats LoveSunshine and Twins6boysinall!! I wish a happy and healthy nine months to both of you :)
October is really coming along nicely with so many BFPs!

Yogi- you might be right about the chemical delaying O, I wish we could control things like ovulation. I'm happy you're going to watch more of the show :)

For me I think the biggest helper, besides OH, distracting me from obsessing about TTC this cycle was Desperate Housewives. I had never seen the show before but I came across it on Netflix and have been binge watching for the past 3 weeks! Netflix is my hero.

Hugs to all the girls that got AF :hug2:

GL to bluebonnet! I hope you catch your egg before you go on your trip :) I remember reading on some forum link from google a bunch of identical twin moms all had taken an airplane ride right after O... they noticed that they all had that in common by chance but were guessing maybe the quick change of pressure caused the egg to split? Maybe if you catch your egg before your trip you'll get twins! :)

CD19 for me... AF is due anywhere between 9-15 days from now. Lots of creamy white discharge today. It looked like lotion. Checked CP this morning and I couldn't find my cervix. That thing has been very unpredictable lately... but yes very soft and almost nonexistent today. BD every single day since cd12 so attempts were/are still being made in case today was O. 15 days until I want to test. Hopefully I can hold off that long... bring on the Netflix!

Kaseybaby I feel the same. Is it valid?
I'm going to retest but I thought I'd wait a couple of days. Af isn't due till the 22nd. Seems to early to be BFP. Does anyone know if clomid can make you ovulate early?

Twins6, I took another test and another very faint line appeared. So that is two very very faint lines. They are definitely faint but not so faint you need to squint and hold them up to the light to see them, kwim? The RE wants me to come in on Friday for my blood pregnancy test. She thinks they are positive. But I just don't know. Just seems crazy early to me.

Congrats Twin6boy and kaseybaby! Very exciting news!

TigerLily - I had heard a flight around ovulation could cause twins but I never had heard the "reason". How interesting!

Ladies I had a full on cheat day this weekend (ate chicken nuggets! OMG!), but I've still lost too much weight this cycle (5 lbs in a little over a week). I'm worried the rapid weight loss will delay ovulation and I'll be gone on my trip already when I ovulate. It's so hard to be strict on LE and still maintain your weight properly so you ovulate. I guess I need to add in my sugary crap today but it kills me to do that. Fingers crossed my body still manages to ovulate on time this month!

Bluebonnet22 Good for you. The swaying diets can be so hard. I really hope you get your BFP and that it is which ever gender you are trying for.

Ok I was going to wait but Kaseybaby thought I should test again so I did. I will buy more good tests today so I can retest again Friday. And again when my period is actually due LOL. The hole 2ww is so stressful but for me the after is going to be just as stressful. My last pregnancy ended at 18 weeks. The baby just died. So hert breaking it was finally the daughter me and my DH had been dreaming of.21509

I tested at 8dpo but it was to faint to take a picture but I will test again at 10 or 11 dpo. I will be to busy to test over the weekend with a house full of people for a birthday party.

Thank you Lovesunshine.

My symptoms have been sensitive smells, Constipation and gas (TMI) and stuff nose and Itchy skin.
I knew gas and constipation were symptoms but when I looked up the nose and itchy part I found those are early pregnancy symptoms too.

I just hope its not that the egg was fertilized but doesn't implant. I have had a dull ache on my left side for days. I'm hoping that means the womb is making room for baby!
