Ya I gotta stop thinking and cooking all gourmet. It's the curse of a creative foodie type who is stay at home/work at home mama. Olive oils, parm, butter lol

Oh and guys - I am breastfeeding so I'm trying to keep it around 1500 - he's not getting all his nutrition from me now, (or I'd stick to around 1800) but I still don't want my milk quality to go to shit. I'll see what happens after the week at 1500 and see what I lose.

Hi girls. Can I please join?? I am doing the LE diet. Today I have had 17 hrs between my last and first meal.
I had 2 wraps for lunch with cheese, cucumber, iceberg lettuce, and a little bit of green capsicum.
Tea tonight I am going to have some scones with light jam.
I may need to add in some lollies for calories.
I ran 11km today and burnt 1000 calories so I seem to be burning more then I am eating.. is this ok??

Hi pink2011. Welcome! Just a couple things I noticed in your post and I'm sure someone with a lot more experience will also respond. Pretty sure fasting should be no longer than 16 hours, I think the recommendation is 12-16 hours. Also are you monitoring your calorie, fat, protien intake as your food for the day doesn't seem to add up to much especially as your burning 1000 calories exercising. I guess it depends on how much weight you can spare but sounds like you may need to increase food intake? As I said previously I'm sure someone will come on and help :)

Going to upload a few of my days meals as per myfitnesspal. My situation is I have about 5kgs I can loose but over a 12 odd week period so trying to have between 1200 - 1500 calories a day. I do no exercise. But I do try and stay within the recommended portion of grams across the board. Hope this gives some ideas :) breakfast is 2-3 coffees with trim milk lunch normally a salad sandwich http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/30/207859a82372a5222942425ef79e0ecb.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/30/67544f2b9efda962962960be5da23d9d.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/30/6040722329951563092878d25147d4cd.jpg

I take Metamucil in capsule form, it is easy to take that way and much more discrete at work. Plus I can carry it around in my bag easily for when I'm out for lunch.
I don't know how well I'm doing with the whole diet thing. I'm doing ok with not snacking (most of the time) but I still have breakfast. I have delayed it about 2 hours so I go from dinner at 6pm to breakfast at about 9am. I also have toast now instead of cereal. I'm still eating similar to before but keeping within 1500 - 1600 cals.

Have you thought about getting a plan from Atomic? All the information you'll ever need is on this site and she and others always answer questions but it takes the constant questions out of the equation getting a plan not to mention the stress of wondering if you're doing it right :) I'm one of those planners, organisers with their ducks all in a row lol so a plan was perfect for me. There's so much info and everyone's different so if your planning ttc sooner or later I would really recommend it if its an option for you :) Best of luck whatever you decide and fx you get your girl! When are you going to start ttc?

Hi Purple! Sounds like your doing just fine! They do say its more about fasting for 12-16 hours than actually skipping brekky as such. Your hours are similar to mine only a couple hours forward 10-12 first meal 6-8 second :) Have you been on the diet long? Are you ttc or still in planning stage?

I have such a hard time when there are cakes and shit in my house lol
Here's yesterday's food
Breakfast - coffee with 3(largish) tsp low fat coffee mate (x2coffees)
Lunch - wasa crisps with low fat cheddar, 1 pear, 2 cupcakes with butter cream frosting. (They're gone now, temptation over LOL!)
Dinner - pasta with tomato sauce and ground sot replacement (I know this isn't ideal, but I bought it and so well eat it occasionally til it's gone), white hamburger bun toasted with I can't believe it's. It butter (light/low fat), tea with milk and sugar.
At 7pm I had beer.
I did 45 mins of dancing (kids wouldn't let me get to 60 mins.... Proving to be difficult..)
Total calories before deducting the cardio 1836 (im breastfeeding so have my cals around 1500-1600 usually.)
Fat 37g
Protein 64g
Carbolicious 284g
Good day imo... Would have been better without those devilish cupcakes but they were kinda awesome lol!

I have some weight I can loose so its working out well for me. I want my girl so bad I am determined to stick to this ( of course I know No guarantees) but this diet is teaching me to eat better so win win all around

Hello ladies. Sorry to butt in on this post but does anybody else feel like they are eating too much? I stick within the limits (most days) but I do feel like I'm having more than I should. I tend to have 2 toast with hummus or low sugar marmalade or 2 plain tortilla wraps (no filling), a yoghurt, a packet of crisps, a low fat chocolate bar, 2 ryvita or similar for my first meal and then either something similar for tea minus the yoghurt or pasta with veg and another low fat chocolate bar for pudding. With each meal I will have a latte. I do not snack or have breakfast. I will sometimes have alcohol but not everyday. does this sound OK? Thanks.

Thank you for replying to me :-) I average around 1400 cals a day. I also went overboard Easter Sunday on both protein and fat and I felt so guilty afterwards :-/ I have lost weight since starting my diet (approximately 1 1/2 stone) I have been on it around 3 months. No1 knows the reason for my sudden diet, not even dh who nags me to get some meat into my diet and told me the other day I am not getting enough nutrient, which pleased me lol.

I usually stick to 40g a day to both fat and protein, sometimes ill be more towards the 50 for protein and have gone over that once or twice but definitely not regularly. I have cut out masses of fat compared to what I used to eat, was never really a big meat eater so don't miss it too much.

Yes, I use the MIO Fuse. It's a wrist monitor, so you don't have to wear all those wires. It tells me calories burned, what zone I'm in, and how far I've gone. I usually stop running at 700 calories but my son was begging to play in the kids gym a little longer so I gave in and did more cardio haha. I run for 30 minutes and then do the elliptical for 30-45. I watch the Ellen show most of the time haha. It's not bad. Gives me some adult time.

Most of my run I'm in the high high zone but the elliptical I'm in the fat burning zone. I can't stay that way for an hour either. Even in the fat burning zone though, I'm sweating like a crazy person. I just make sure to be there an hour.

Sounds like it a great LE to me. I wouldn't be so successful if Dh didn't know. We'd be stopping for burgers 2-3x a week lol
Does he know your planning a seat at all? What's your TTC plan? (As far as the attempt goes?)

I have found it a problem with my dh not knowing as he is very into his takeaways and he is finding it strange that I'm never having one lol I'm not sure how he would react if I told him what I was doing. We have agreed that we won't use birth control and will just see what happens regarding another baby. For attempt I am looking to bd one attempt at +opk and will use antihistamines. I had a half baked attempt this month, used the antihistamines but not the opk, just did attempt 12 days after AF arrived as I average a 28 day cycle. Are you doing any exercise?

I'm phasing exercise in as i was a total couch potato and it pretty well kills me to work out lol - I get 3-4 x a week now, mild - moderate - 60 mins. Working up to 1-1.5 hrs also, in the fat burn zone... (Moderate intensity)
Lunch for me was a
Mediterranean wrap and 3 (girl guides of canada) cookies (once again, not at home/on the run)
And I took my Metamucil fibre pills before I ate that. I'm already at 31 grams of fat.

That's why I wanted the hrm - to make sure I'm in the right zone (not too low) "moderate" for me is the fat burning zone. Wouldn't that be pink? I do have to get my weight down a bit I think.... Otherwise I would do the couch potato plan.

I don't want to obsess about food but I really struggle with fat grams. I've got the protein down, but my fat intake is consistently higher. I'm at, around or below 1500 cals. Im breastfeeding and my macros are 4/5 days at around 50-60g of fat. I've seen up to 80 when I first started.

Hey, hope you all don't mind me joining in :) Sway planned for Sept or so and started LE in the past week or two. Here's what I had today.
Brunch at 11.30am - Two lightly toasted English muffins with a small scraping of light butter and reduced sugar jam. Coffee with low fat milk and 1.5 sugar tap (ran out of sweetener) Also had a mini custard and chocolate chip brioche, needed the sugar after a night of teething with DS2!! 742 cals
Another coffee at 3.15pm ish. Had sugar as still no sweetener so around 60 cals.
Dinner at 6pm was around 100g of white boil in the bag rice with a portion of homemade LE friendly lasagne (loaded with peppers, cauliflower, courgette, a little onion and sweeten in tomato passata with herbs for flavour. I used thyme, oregano and basil. Two pasta sheets per portion and some Dolmio white sauce on top. I add a teeny amount of grated cheese when cooking. Batch made 7 portions and froze them) 709 calls
At 9pm I had a Muller Light greek style yoghurt with 5 hint of salt wheat crackers and a scraping of light cream cheese on top. 248 cals
I drink loads of sparkling water with no added sugar squash through the day and some diet coke too.
Calories total: 1759.
Fat total: 48g
Protein total: 47g
I am not being strict with myself just yet, just trying to stay within the calories limit, slowly cut out meat altogether and trying to watch fat/protein content. I am finding that the most difficult but hoping that by the time we get to September I will find it all much easier and can relax and be less Martha than usual ;)

I'm happy enough sticking with 1800 calories or there abouts. I was eating 1500/1600 a fortnight ago and was losing too quick so upped the cals to 2000 and gained 2lbs so sticking now at 1800. Though saying that I'm contemplating a cheat today, having chicken for the rest of them for dinner and if I eat it my fat and protein will go way over though my calories will be under. I'm not supposed to be getting wrapped up in fat/protein amounts at the moment so I think I'll just eat the chicken and be done with it lol.

I'm easing into it so I can start 100% at the end of June. Depending on my mostly irregular cycles our first attempt will be end of Sept/early Oct though we are going on holidays to Florida for two weeks end of Aug/start of Sept and I'll have a hard time sticking to the diet but having spoken to Atomic I'm just going to be as vigilant as I can. I might push our first attempt out to the following cycle if my diet isn't great while I'm away. I'm hoping the thoughts of swaying will outweigh the temptation of cheat foods lol. Its just so hard to know what I can eat when I'm eating out and on holidays eating out is an almost constant thing!

I went on vacation and ate breakfast and more cals than I should, but I think a week of screwing up can't hurt too bad - I still didn't get much protien (had 1/2 a burger one night, and 2x I had an omelette made with 1 egg). I could sit and worry that it hurt my sway but that would be more bad than the food I ate! If you push it back too far there is ALWAYS another even that creeps up. Bdays, thanksgiving, whatever... I have been loosely practicing for about 6 months. Skipping breaky for 5 months (with the odd exception) and when AF returned last month I hit it hard, hoping to be good for a late May start to swaying. I have til July (mayyyybe August) then I have to stop.

I just want to say that if you are feeling so awful, like death, it doesn't sound like you are doing things right. You should not feel like this doing LE and it is not a starvation diet. Are you keeping track of what you are eating to make sure you are not way under? Especially if you are exercising hardcore for 90 min., since 60 is recommended. I think it would be a good idea to post what you are doing so Atomic will chime in if you do not already have a customized plan. Hope you don't take this as criticizing but your post got me a bit worried
Laurenk1424

I follow it correctly, and make sure to get enough, and have a custom plan. I've just always worked out hardcore and am used to eating tons of protein and shakes to help give me energy and extra push.... Not having much protein or fat makes working out a million times different. It doesn't help that I workout during one of the no snack periods, so I am just left weak after my workouts... Once I eat dinner that evening I'm good to go again. I don't feel like death all day lol just after my workouts for about two hours, which makes 100% sense because working out hardcore with LE which is basically minimal nutrition, isn't an easy feat.

Hello ladies, sorry to jump in. Im new here so im just reading as much info as possible before i sway properly. Whwn doing cardio, how high does your HR need to be? Like, how intense does the cardio need to be?
Also skipping breakfast, what does that mean in timescale terms... as someone who wakes at 6am and someone who wakes at 11am would surely have different lunch times. I wake between 5:30 and 6:30 every morning so would there be an ideal time to eat as by 9am im sooooo hungry and by 11am i feel ill... am i meant to be eating after a certain timescale or am i just meant to wait until my usual lunch time (which is between 12 and 1)

Hi dreaming pink gonna jump in here because I'm pretty sure I have the answer to some of this. With the skipping brekky thing it's more of a fasting period 12-16 hours off the top of my head. So if you have an earlyish dinner dont wait till 12 noon to eat its not necessary. I sometimes go 18 hours without eating (not intentionally some days it just happens) but I've drunk at least 2-3 coffees which seem to help
Pbn3
May 1st, 2015, 04:43 AM
Oh and there is nothing stopping you from eating 3 meals a day you should never get to the point you feel ill from not eating - this is neither helpful for your health or your sway. I'm not doing the cardio simply because I cannot commit to it 4-6 days a week and I am having g between 1300 - 1800 calories a day. I always try to stick to less than 40g of fat and 40-50g of protein. But as I said I'm not exercising so calories may need to be increased for you if you are [emoji4]

Atomic has stressed to me repeatedly NOT to focus on heart rate. She doesn't even want us wearing them. I do but it's only so I know what I burned. She said that they've gotten great results with just walking. I noticed on my hrm when I was watching it that I floated back and forth between at burning and cardio. Fat burning modes burn fat, cardio burns carbs... In the end it doesn't matter. I read a variety of articles on what constitutes as cardio and basically it's anything that is 50-85% of your Max heart rate.

Dinner - subway 6" sweet onion chicken teriyaki no cheese, 25ish triscuit thins (the triangle ones) 595 cals. My intent was to drink beer with dinner but hubby hasn't gotten here and so my workout has been delayed so I'll have a beer or 3 to get my cals up later and fast longer tomorrow (if it suits me)

With my boys I worked out like the 30 day shred, and weights and stuff. I would NEVER have worked out for an hour. I hope -fx - that the ticket is in the time and the low protein - not that we know for sure what is a sure fire thing or not. At least you'll have given it all you got. I've been going harder bc in getting better at it; more conditioned, but I'm still thinking that intensity wise - I. Terms of perceived rate of exertion I float between say 5 and 8. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/03/06fb73caabbf58b9c5f98cd44aea4ee9.jpg

Awesome!
Well weekend was good, I had a veggie burger and a piece of cake; not a crazy cheat but, today I had another piece of cake.
I lowered my calorie goal too since my weight isn't budging.
Today I also had a small breaky. Rare for me, that was one thing about this diet that I "practiced" before I started and it was easy for me bc im so busy.
Here's how my day shaped up

I haven't posted on this thread the past week - I'm guilty of completely messing up my diet and having just a plain ol' bad week of it. Today I am turning things around and am back on track. I've continued to skip breakfast as I have done for months now but last week after a friends wedding I began to snack as a result of the hangover from hell!!! Lesson learned - for now!!
This is my day today -
coffee with aspartame and low fat milk at 9.30am
two English muffins with low fat butter and no sugar added strawberry jam, another coffee with milk and sweetener and a mini Brioche pastry at 11.30am - 656 cals, 22g fat, 15g protein
I am having another coffee now with a drop of milk and sweetener which is another 13 cals, 1g fat, 1g protein (full fat milk as I have no low fat left at the minute) and I will have 4 vegetable fingers, 4/5 baby potatoes, a cup of steamed baby carrots and around 100g ish of steamed broccoli. I'll have light butter on the potatoes too. That should be 450 cals, 14.8g fat, 13.1g protein according to MFP. My daily totals will be 1106 cals, 36.8g fat, 28.1 protein. The boys are having some baked ham for dinner so I may have a slice of that to increase my protein intake though I know its a cheat. Any other ideas on increasing protein but not upping fat intake ladies?
I'll have some full fat soda or some other empty carbs later to increase calorie intake, or I might have an extra baby potato or two without butter, protein + calories but no fat ;) I'm in a better frame of mind this week plus I finally got a positive OPK and EWCM after being convinced I was Oing last week (pains plus creamy CM turning to EW but then drying up completely which threw me right off!!) so thats getting my head back in the game :D
Lauren I've actually asked atomic that same question. She said that shrimp are a great cheat, a better cheat than other options like meat. I'll be eating shrimp through my sway, obviously limiting it to a maximum of twice, possibly three times a week while I am on holidays a couple weeks before our attempt (eating out will be disastrous I have no doubt!) I'm not going to be doing a "kitchen sink" sway though, I'm hoping to be more relaxed (haha, we'll see about that now won't we!!) and if I fixate too much on food I'll get way too Martha and undo all the work the diet will hopefully do!

I felt like I ate a LOT today but I really didn't. My fat was slightly higher than I prefer but still in the Limits.
For lunch (11am, 16 hr fast)
Grilled montery Jack sandwich (first real dairy in awhile) made with light margerine spread and I paired that with an icebug lettuce salad with full fat dressing - weighed in at 405 cals
Dinner was Perogies (10) topped with a veggie curry I made last night and a dollop of low fat sour cream and a side of green peas. I had a car male pudding as a desert too :) 743 cals
The day was 1148 cals, 31.8 g of fat, 38 g of protein.
I'm going to have beer too but not til after I do my walk. I don't think I can jog yet - that week off of daily exercise really put me back.

I've just started LE, haven't gotten a plan yet as I'm short on money now as we will be moving in 2 weeks. But wanted to get started already and change my lifestyle in the hopes of TTC pink. But I need some help from you girl if you don't mind. I am just so incredibly hungry in the morning. I miss my breakfast so bad and feel nausious and dizzy when I don't have it. Does that go away once you get used to it? or could I drink something like diet coke? Wouldn't that spike my bloodsugar?
Also, I get very hungry in between meals. I don't think I eat enough, but am finding it really hard to eat a lot in one go. I'm a grazer. Do you girl try to aim for example for 1000 calories for lunch and 800 for dinner? Like really all the calories cramped into those two meals? What about the fruit, do you eat that as a desert? I'm used to eating everything seperately. And when I read what you girls are eating, it just seems like a little? Aren't you girls feeling hungry like all. the. time? TIA!

Dana it was a while ago...I have a six week old DD from a successful sway but I found cutting out breakie completely was the only way to do it. I then had to strictly eat lunch at about 11.30am. First thing I would have tea with milk and about 10am I would have a coffee with milk that's how I got through!! I ate roughly the same thing for lunch bagel with reduced fat cream cheese, yoghurt and two pieces vege sushi then nothing until dinner ( except diet coke) and then I pretty much ate whatever DH was cooking ( this is where majority of cals went, but we would eat vege with chicken, fish, eggs once per week) lots of salad. Yes eat your fruit after your lunch or dinner for example that's when I would eat my yoghurt. I would do My fitness pal for a couple months and you will figure it all out! Good luck Xxx
Dana-Alicia
May 20th, 2015, 03:14 AM
Thanks Kitkat! So a sugary drink in the morning in not considered as breakfast? As it's still spiking the bloodsugar? But I will be getting diet coke asap, as I really need that now. I won't eat till 12:00, so that should do the trick hopefully.

Thanks, I was hoping it would yes. I used to never eat breaskfast and had a very pink lifestyle, hence I conceived DD. But once I was pregnant I was so nausious I would eat constantly to try and make it stop. And I've continued that ever since. So this is hard. However, I used to never imagine I would ever eat breakfast, so if I can start eating breakfast, i can stop breakfast as well!
Also the diet coke and helped me last till 11:30! Then I had 2 pitabreads with thinly sliced mozzarella and tomato (831 kcal), 4 matze crackers with hummus (142), 3 carrots (27? kcal) and a little bit of low fat quark with grapes (75). Together that was about 1075 kcal and I'll never do that again cause I'm about to burst lol. But at least I'll not be hungry in between. Tonight I'm planning on a salad with soup and want around 725 calories. 1800 calories is about right? and 50 gram of fat? Not sure about protein and the others?

Hey Dana - honestly if you can't skip breaky every day than don't - we don't want anyone passing out. also consider how long it's been since dinner - the goal is 12-16 hrs fast; but atomic would say 2-3 meals per day. And I've read some girl sways that clearly state they did not skip breakfast.
If the diet coke is working that's great! Or you can try a low fat yogurt (I avoid Greek bc it's higher in protein) or another source of protein as it will not bring your blood sugar up the way carbs will.
I do eat Maybe once a week a breakfast by 10, listen to your body first and foremost.
I seldom snack, but I'll take a calorie drink such as coffee with cream, or tea with mild and sugar - or beer after or between meals.
Go on my fitness pal! We can support eachother there too! I'm Jendrix76 on it. You can plug in percentage goals too to meet LE

I'm a little nervous about the diet drinks. I know they are probably safe in small amounts like atomic suggests. But I don't think they are necessary. I'm trying to do my sway eating natural/organic things. And honestly I need to eat a little bit more calories so if I want pop, I'm drinking a small Pepsi made with real sugar for empty calories.

Dana- don't focus on the time of day part! For instance don't think you have to wait until 11:30 to eat for the first time of the day. It is having an overnight fast of 16 hours that matters. So I always had dinner with my family between 5:30-6:30pm, because that time is important to our family. So I counted 16 hours after 6:30pm, which worked out to be 9:30am-10:30am without eating a thing! Some mornings I would have coffee with a splash of creamer, upon waking up, and others I didn't if I was super busy. Then I would have lunch with my boys at 12:30pm. Then I had another long fast between lunch and dinner- 6 hours until we ate dinner at 6:30pm. I liked I had an overnight fast of 16 hours AND a midday fast of 6 hours!! My first meal was always around 200-300 cals, lunch was slightly more at 500 cals, and dinner was the largest at 800-900 cals. I was always satisfied and having the largest meal at the end of the day is better for your body- we are more efficient with insulin production and digestion at dinner time. I exercised after lunch with my boys, since they liked ending up at the park. DS2 always fell asleep on the run back home., and we walk to a park after dinner as a family- bonus exercise that is fun!
If you look up my sway, I posted what I ate usually.
Please don't kill yourself focusing on trying to make it to a certain time, use the formula- 16 hour fast after you last meal is when you can eat for the first time. I have to eat three meals for my metabolism to continue to lose weight, but everyone is different. I liked gradually increasing my meal size, since after swaying a while my stomach shrunk!
All of your ladies are doing FAB!

I never drank them, because I hate putting artificial junk in my body, yuck! The LE diet will naturally lower your pH without needing to drink the diet drinks. I always had either a regular soda with sugar or my beloved ice cream for empty calories!!!

I also didn't drink them. In fact I openly tell people that I hate diet drinks and prefer real sugar (not that I think sugar is healthy!). It would have looked very strange all of a sudden if I started drinking them!!

Oops sorry Dana I should have pointed out that is what worked for me ( 2 meals and eating about 11.30am and 6pm). I also did eat breakfast every now and then if I felt I really needed it!! I guess like the others said its figuring out what works for you, how you can adapt LE to your lifestyle Xx

I also found for me when starting LE I did have to cut out breakfast completely, if I skipped one day and not the next I got really dizzy and same thing if I ate a ' reduced' breakfast like fruit salad. Again just what worked for me. I have a 5 week old newborn so writing everything half asleep!! :) xx

Thanks Kitkat and so happy to read you got your little girl, congrats!! I just had dinner at 17:30 and am satisfied now. Had chinese food. Didn't plan on it but was having dinner at my parents house. It was vegetarian though, as I've been a vegetarian for years now. Just recently started eating a bit of meat and fish again, but cut that out again as it will surely help my sway. I don't mind the diet coke, I used to drink it a lot. Now I usually just drink water, but like to mix that up sometimes with something sugary, so I guess the light version is better for me now. I do get a lot sleepier earlier at night. I usually go to bed at midnight, but now at 22:00 I'm nodding off on the couch lol. Which is quit enice actually, as the kids wake me up very early sometimes. I did my cardio walking to the playground on the other side of our village and chasing after the kids as they were on their bikes. Didn't do the exact 60+ minute sin one long go, but since tcc is still months away I will really put more effort into it when I'm closer to ttc.

Dreaming - anything high in nutrients is maybe blue but seriously, a bit of orange cheese won't hurt. That being said I switched to light cheese and eat very occasionally, and then I've taken to grilled cheese made with the Kraft cheese slices that aren't even real cheese.
Atomic says it over and over that there is no magic foods; so Remember that.
I basically ditched the stuff that was a typical HE diet - the cereals, the milk too (although who knows...) heck I've ditched most real dairy. I've ditched red meat (but transitioned to this). I DO have chicken or fish occasionally but then I'm old and the last thing I want is to stop ovulating and I have a hard time balancing protein through the week (too low now).
Lastly I feel like I've really gotten used to the diet, and the little splurges don't feel so guilt laden compared to my previous diet! If that makes sense.

I eat a lot of matzo crackers or other natural crackers with low fat cheese. And just regular white bread. I don't want to focus too much on what's in everything, as it's stressing me out too much.
Oh fries! I LOVE fries! I actually ate tons of fries when I conceived my DD, but then again would eat very little otherwise to even it out.

Hi ladies, ok if I join too? I have started the diet, but seem to go really well at the start of the week, but by the end I am back to eating anything I want and not even thinking about it! We are not trying for a few months, so I am hoping maybe some moral support will get me into line :)
Generally I skip breakfast, drinking coffee until about 10am. Then a museli bar, small lunch such as a veg wrap at 12.30pm, small snack in the afternoon such as nuts, glass of wine when I get home, then a vegetation dinner such as tofu stir fry, veg pasta, sometimes fish or chicken. No red meat. This is on a good day!!

Today I stayed in check more or less. I'm on cd 3 and alllll I want is chocolate! We ended up going to the mil's for supper - I ate about a 1/3 a chicken breast (my weekly serving of meat) a few wedges and a decent piece of chocolate cake but was still only at 44 g of fat (way higher than usual but decent considering my little splurge) and protein was 44g.
Tomorrow will be soup for lunch (like today), and veggie burgers for dinner.

Sounds legit lol!! That was March/April for me.... The early days of my diet were a mess. Just try not to sweat the what part and more the how often and how much part. If you're tracking aim for no more than 40-50g protein, and 20-30% fat (approx 25-60g)

Ok, ladies. How would you rate today? I'm supposed to be around 1800 (under 50 for fat and protein I think). I can add on a little salad and some Pepsi with my planned dinner (3 slices of pizza). Would you guys count it as a cheat day or not since I'm technically within the limits. Sorry, I'm brand new to this and I have never even tracked calories.

Thread crashing. I think you're fine- you are within the limits. If you want to add more calories, you could add in empty calories or any food without fat and protein. I always had an apple, pear, grapes, or strawberries for extra calories in this situation.
I always stuck to under 50g for protein and under 60g for fat. Oh and I always had pizza once a week- it's a family staple of ours! I just had a meatless version!

Ya I agree with XX - it's not a cheat if you're within the limits. Doesn't matter if it's pizza, roast beef, fries, whatevs. I call it a cheat when I go over... Just be sure you're fairly/accurately accounting for it. That can be hard at first, not knowing for sure what an oz of cheese looks like, or 3oz of chicken.

Keep a close eye on this. If you do put on weight there are other suggested diets - and if you gain weight staying within LE then is not for you and I would try the PCOS diet.

I love meat so much so the le diet has been difficult. I'm trying to just do very small amounts of meat if I have it because it uses up protein fast. Whole wheat pita and hummus has been great. I love fruit and it doesn't count for fat or protein. I use regular Pepsi to add on empty calories if I need it.

I couldn't believe how fat meat added. What I do on "meat days" (about once a week) is I try and plan for that first, and log it. Then I balance my lunch with foods that don't make me go over. After 10 wks I don't have to think about it so much although I still log it for confirmation.

Supper was a veggie burger and a baked potato with I can't believe it's not butter, peas and a beer. Then later I jogged 70 mins. I also had a snack tonight - which I don't do but we watched a movie so I had light popcorn with another beer.
