Hi ladies
The monthly chat thread on the ttc blue board is popular so I thought I'd start one for us gals too - and you know how I love to chat
Please post your details in the following format and I'll add you to the list so we know who's here. Good luck ladies, pink baby dust to you all :HH:

♥ Swaying Status: Swayer in Waiting - September's our month!
♥ TTC DC # 4. We have 3 boys aged 21 months, 4 and 5.
♥ Your approach to pink sway: I'm hitting the low-everything diet hard and hoping to lose 3 stone in 3 months, then we'll BD every day AF until I get my +OPK using a spermicide condom. One attempt unprotected the night I get my +OPK. Rephresh every 3 days after AF, Acijel 1 hour before attempt. Hot bath for DH, shallow release. Vitex, Saw P, baby aspirin, antihistimine and folic acid for me. Licorice root and baby aspirin for DH.

♥ Swaying now!!!!
♥ Ttc dc #3
♥ I'm doing the low everything diet with frequent release then bding very day through ov. I'm doing rephresh every 3 days and taking folic acid, vitex, saw palmetto and aspirin. Dh is taking liquorice root.

♥ Swaying Status: Swaying NOW!
♥ TTC DC #1
♥ Your approach to pink sway- I'm doing a semi-LE diet (already lost 30 pounds over the past 6 months, so only have a few to drop). Planning frequent BD (once AF leaves the station) with a 2-3 day cutoff. Rephresh (1/2 app) every 3 days through O. Antihistamine for 4-5 days up through O and taking daily Folic Acid and acidophilus (sp). DH was willing to give up beer and coffee while we TTC and he basically eats the LE diet as well with me. Hot showers before BD, fan on in bedroom, and will TRY not to O while BDing (sometimes hard to avoid that)
*Emmy2012
*Swaying status: Swaying Now in Tww
*TTC#6 I have one daughter 15, son 12, a son that lives with his dad 9, son with my 2nd dh almost 3, and son with 2nd dh 1
*do the LE diet hardcore never more then 950 calories, I was awesome until after I o'd..I have had a few bad days, never ate breakfast but lots of sweets after lunch...getting back on diet tomorrow hardcore, I am 5 dpo today. I did 14 day abstain 2 day cutoff, then had dh release twice a day until a O+12 attempt. I douche'd and used rephresh every 3 days, hot baths for dh, aci-jel before and after only O+12 attempt. Vitex, Saw Palmetto, baby aspirin, folic acid....taking b6 in tww for progesterone.

♥ Swaying Status: Was hoping to TTC in August.. waiting until September
♥ TTC #4
♥ LE diet, frequent release, no O, rephresh every three days after AF, attempt night of +opk, may use Zyrtec (not sure), hot showers, taking folic acid, and DH semi-LE diet. Also for fun I am using an ionizer on the computer, leaving ceiling fans on, and wearing rose quartz bracelets everyday. Trying to get my luteal phase to be at least 12 days... currently 8/9 days. Hoping my OB will help me in this month at my appointment.

♥ TTC #4 (I have 5 year old identical boy twins and a 2 year old boy)
♥ Low Everything diet, frequent release, Rephresh, Sylk, Saw Palmetto, Vitex, Baby Aspirin, Benedryl/Zrytec around O. We just finished our 2nd month TTC - on the 2WW but expect af in a couple of days
♥ User Name melinda
♥ Swaying Status: Swayer in Waiting, Swaying NOW!, BFP Swayer! umm I am not sure lol af is due around aug 17th and will start swaying then
♥ TTC DC # 5
♥ Your approach to pink sway: still researching, I plan to sway twins and for a girl lol but even if I just get twins with no girl would be still awesome, I am doing soy iso days 2-6, then doing vitex on cd7 to O, doing 2000mcg folic acid, azo cranberry says I can take max 4 pills(2 in morning 2 at night) zyrtec and possible benedryl to dry up cm, thinking about b6 to help lengthen lp and raise progesterone levels, I know I take a buttload of pills will have to double check all what I am taking lol, I am also going to *try* to do the girl diet, and cut my calories drastically and no excercising, and did 0+20(was very past O actually surprised I conceive) but ended in m/c so wondering if maybe egg was to old? to survive so will not be doing that, will do cutoff maybe cd12? since O around cd15, and no big O for me lol but like I said still researching and planning
♥ User Name - Out of the Blue
♥ Swaying Status - Surprise BFP while taking a break from the diet/TTC – Due 3-30-2012 We will be waiting until birth to find out the gender…
♥ TTC DC # - #3 (probably our caboose) We have two boys ages 3ish and 1ish...complete opposites but they love playing w/eachother!
♥ What I was planning on doing before I got my surprise BFP…
I really think low blood sugar and low testosterone are key!
Low Everything diet (vegetarian or vegan) until a BFP
No prenatals
No calcium sups
Chitosan and/or lots of fiber sups
Lots of Peppermint Tea (iced, hot whatever!)
Vitex
Zyrtec if needed
Frequent release w/BD AF – O
RepHresh
Sylk
Missionary w/no O…boring!
FWIW stuff:
Still BF #2 (so no aspirin for me)
Quit watching sports or anything else on T.V. which would appear to raise my T levels and tried to watch “girly” shows (definitely not my norm but thought it couldn’t hurt)
Quit playing T raising games on my Ipad
Thought lots and lots of girl/pink thoughts
Wore a pink bracelet to remind me of my girl
Quit working out as I could not do enough cardio to sway pink
Quit yoga & abstained from building any muscles
Lost 25 lbs last summer and a few more before TTC…Was 2lbs away from my lowest weight as an adult and 25+ lbs lighter than when I conceived both our boys
rock salt lamp next to our bed
pink bow on my closet mirror
I took non-fish DHA and Raspberry Leaf Tea which may sway blue but I thought the benefits outweighed the sway. I also was diligent about taking folic acid and I frequently took acidophilus. Unfortunately I had quit the diet for 1-2 wks and then started it up again a few days before I O'd. When we BD, we used a bit of Sylk but no RepHresh b/c I was lazy and I had no idea I could get preg by DTD a week or more before O. Surprise!!!
♥ User Name -DoulaMama
♥ Swaying Status - Swayer in Waiting- Hopefully Sept/Oct/Nov
♥ TTC DC # - 4
♥ What I'm planning on doing for this sway- LE diet(to the best of my ability as I'm bfding my 13mos old), no breakfast, no coffee(just tea twice daily),
ions(fans going in house, no a/c, outside a lot, salt lamps, etc), vitex and folic acid, benadryl from O-4 through O, frequent release AF-O minus 4 with condom and then BD through until O+1day, sylk and rephresh, missionary or spooning with legs closed(no O ), shallow release, J&D after 15 mins and then lay down for bed, girlie outfit under bed(dress that I wore as a child) along with wooden spoon , no working out at all, trying to work on T levels so less yelling at my kids...LOL and less goals to achieve, weight loss(17 so far this year) to get below my lowest adult weight(around 150lbs-so another 35 to go....not sure if I'll make it). Chinese calendar is correct for my 3 boys as well, and it says Girl from now until Nov. I think that's about it Oh and B6 for luteal phase length.
Now if my cycles would become a lot less wonky I'll be happy. The vitex doesn't seem to be helping that much. Right now I'm 6 dpo and I'm praying that I'm not pregnant. I wasn't really swaying at all and I thought I was on CD3 as I was bleeding....I was actually O-3days and we DTD without protection. So, if our oops doesn't result in a pregnancy...this is our sway!

Ok I'm going to start the chit chat!! Been a gorgeous day in the uk today, we've spent all day in the garden in the paddling pool and under the sprinkler! Dh and I are dtd every day at the moment until ov but I don't feel that ov is near at all! I really hope it isn't delayed as much as last cycle, I REALLY want to ov before I go on holiday (Friday!!!) I want to chill out a bit and at least eat a nice dinner as we usually eat out every night. Also my mum will be there for the first 3 days and she is set on feeding me up, I'm not sure if I'll even get away with missing breakfast. What has everyone else been up to?

Ugh, wasn't today gorgeous - I was back to work, typical! Where are you going on holiday swish?
I'm feeling a bit like my supps aren't doing much because, just like last month, I have some major EWCM on CD9. Last month I went on to ovulate on CD13. This is annoying on several counts; 1) I have so much EWCM 2) I'm ovulating fairly early in my cycle and I have it in mind that 'girl' cycles are longer and 3) my body is doing exactly the same as last month and, again, I have it in mind that my cycles need to be wonky to conceive a girl! I took an antihistimine at 5pm so will see what that does, although after an hour and a half or so it had done nothing. I might continue to take it until I O so I get a better idea of what it's doing.
On top of this, if I have another 27 day cycle and ovulate on CD13 next month too (our attempt month) then our one off attempt will probably land on our night away at Legoland!

Welcome, Scarlett! So exciting to be TtC for the first time, gl!! Zani, we are going to Spain, we're really lucky as have a family place there so it's all set up for children and a cheap holiday! I cannot understand how all those supps haven't had much effect, look what they did to me!!! Can you up the dosage? Looking back I had more ewcm a couple of cycles ago but this month hardly any, I did take zyrtec last month but I don't think it did much, what antihis are you taking?

Hi Melinda-I was reading your approach and I noticed you wanted to take both Soy and Vitex. I don't think you should take these two together. The thread about it is on genderdreaming somewhere; I'll look for it and maybe someone else can find it and post it here.
edited to add: I found the thread (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?1881-Super-Soy-for-a-girl-or-a-boy!&highlight=Vitex+Soy). Hope it helps!

Hi :) thank you but I won't be taking them together as on same days, but it will be in same cycle, soy iso cd2-cd6 then I will stop soy iso and start vitex on cd7, but its never good to play with your hormones lol. I have spent many hrs on google lol several women have done this with good outcomes, some even say that taking vitex with soy helps balance things out BUT I would NOT recommend that, to many mix signals going out in the body can't mean anything good, I will be raisng estrogen high(caused by soy) then after the soy will start to raise my progesterone and kind of balance everything out(with vitex), it sounded like a good idea lol will let you know if it was lol :)

How's everybody doing today? I freaked out a little yesterday over how much EWCm I had, even though we're not ttc yet, so I took a Zyrtec last night and another before work this morning. I know those things aren't supposed to make you drowsy but I've struggled to stay awake (at work lol!) all day! I'm feeling really down today after another BFN. AF is due in 2 days, and at this point I have no reason to believe she won't arrive right on schedule. I need a pep talk, ladies! I am soooooooooo bored with this diet and really can't face another month of it. I really feel like crying right now.
I'm also really sad because this next month is far from ideal for me to TTC. If I get a BFP, my due date will be 1 day before my twins' birthday, so not only will I potentially rob them of their special day this year as I may be in labour, but I will always have to deal with 3 birthdays in one week! Waiting a month to TTC isn't really an option since there's no way I can continue the diet another TWO months!

I'm so sorry:( You're 12 dpo now? It can still happen Mama! If there's no AF yet let's just focus on the positive!! If you really didn't want to TTC this coming month is there any way you could incorporate just 2-3 more food items, stay low in cals and then bump it back hardcore during the beginning of the next month? If it's just a few more things and say maybe don't worry about the sodium as much...I don't know:( I'm hoping it all works out for you Mocha!!! (((HUGS)))

Thanks, DM...I just really want to get that BFP and move on - if we wait another month we'll run into the same problem with ds3's birthday, which is in June. Regardless of what we do, I'm definitely incorporating more food into my diet. I'm going to be careful not to GAIN weight anymore weight, but I definitely need to stop LOSING weight or one day I'll just disappear. I already need to go out and buy a bunch of Size 0 clothes because my Size 2s are falling off me. I also want more tasty food, so I think I'm going to eat garlic and chocolate once in a while and not be quite as strict with sodium and maybe even protein too once in a while (maybe once or twice a week I'll let myself eat 45-50g of protein). I'll keep vegetarian, though, for sure.

I know what you mean about the diet. I was on it from Feb to May, we were originally going to try in may and a family issue came up that make us think we would not try at all! So I went off the diet for a few week, things improved so I got back on the diet wagon. I did really good but i have fallen off since I confirmed O...bad I know... Basic principals still there, no breakfast, no meats low protien...but the salt has been bad and I have probably been at 2000 calories! I had been doing no more then 1000 and normally around 850 to 900. I was supposed to get back on the diet better today....so far not good...I had some chocolate! So I understand completely the diet thing...it is so hard and draining...physically and mentally! I just better hope this works for me this time cause I have to try again in August and will have had some bad days. I have to believe has much as I want a girl what is meant to be will be. If I am meant to have a girl some chocolate and Olive Garden salad will not take that away from me! LOL I am a firm beleiver in swaying to a point but at some point fate will take over. Go easy on yourself if need be on the diet a bit if it helps you center and re-focus.

Mocha, oh i really feel for you right now, I know exactly how you feel! I cried last time at the thought of doing it all again and I'll definately cry again!! But you cannot give up, you have done SO well and are now in a fantastic position to conceive a gorgeous girlie!! You cannot waste all the hard work you have done. I definately think you should ease up on the diet a bit more and maybe give yourself treat days to look forward to(small goals!!!). PLus, if it was me, I'd ditch the rephresh next attempt, I really think it may be stopping those spermies from getting through!! All that said, it's not over yet, I do understand how you feel but until af arrives you could be pregnant, I'm still keeping fx for you, big hugs!!! Xx
Zani, I absolutely get drowsy from zyrtec, I nearly fell asleep today wTching supers an with ds1! and I took the tablet last night, maybe it's because we have no food in us!!
Ootb, how are you feeling now?
Dm, any symptoms?
Everyone else, looking forward to getting to know you better.
As for me, we're dtd every night at the moment, dh is feeling very lucky again! I'm waiting to ov, cp is now 'show', does anyone know how long you ov after that happens? The new chilled me is having pizza for dinner, I've made my own tomato base, griddled courgettes and have low fat moz, I can't wait, my tummy is rumbling!!!

Mocha- Ds4 was a surprise pregnancy, and amazingly he shared the same due date as ds3 did, they were both due on oct 27th but ds3 came on oct 23rd but I had the same thing all through pregnancy worried I would steal or ruin his bday, I end up having ds4 on oct 4th, so I have a bday party last week of sept(which is normally weekend before the 4th) and then have another bday at the end of oct lol, ds3 wants his separate he doesn't won't to share his bday which I don't blame him lol so in other words if you do conceive next month it could still all work out for you bday wise:)
Little ot lol in first of sept I launch what I call operation bday lol we do 2 in oct, one in nov around thanksgiving, and then one in dec around christmas and that's just the kids bday parties, we have several adult family members born at the end of the yr, so I wasn't overjoyed when I found out I would be adding another to my operation bday list lol but it worked great last yr and hoping it will be successful this yr :) anyways lol
I think the diet is just running your body down, you're not getting the proper nutrients you need, you're small anyway not much more you can lose and when we run down physically it runs us down emotionally and then bfn's don't help either, I think adding something like you said might help keep your body satisfied but also keep your intake low enough to sway girl :) but you're still in until a good af shows Gl on whatever you decide :)

A lot of people don't agree with me on this, but to me checking cp and cm is more reliable and less confusing once you get the hang of it, I have been doing it for yrs, because we protect up to ovalution and then quit protecting until af and then until af ends(because I don't won't spermicide messing up my divacup lol)

Thanks for your support, ladies!
swish - I think I'm going to drop the Rephresh and the Sylk on our next attempt. I think in the grand scheme of sway factors, they are the least important. I'm going to focus on diet, frequent BD, supplements and antihistamines. Oh, and I'm planning to have pizza tonight too! I found a recipe for sodium-free pizza crust and am making it right now. I'm going to use low sodium tomato sauce, a bit of low fat cheese and a few veggies. I've already worked out the nutritional details, and I can have half a pizza and still stay within the guidelines. Woooo hooo! I think I may actually make the recipe into 4 individual pizzas (it is supposed to make 2 big pizzas) and freeze them so I have easy, tasty supper options in the future.

I'm waiting to ov, cp is now 'show', does anyone know how long you ov after that happens?
For me...I get a + opk one day with SHOW, the next day the opk is the darkest and I still have SHOW(this is when I had a huge temp dip on this last chart and mega cramps on my left side). The next am I had a 1 degree F temp jump with SHOW all day long. My opk went from +(equal colour to test line- so fade out) to - by 5pm. My cervix stayed SHOW until the next day. So, I seem to stay SHOW for the entire day following O. HTH!!
Thanks for your support, ladies!

^^^ I think that's a great idea Mocha:) And the pizza is a great food idea! I'm writing it down for future use:)
AFM- I'm basically off the diet now:( I went to a wedding rehearsal, a wedding and a meet and greet this weekend...so all in all, 3 days of eating:( I'm back up 2 lbs.....and I don't even care. Maybe once I know for sure that our oops didn't result in a pregnancy I'll feel a bit better. Right now I feel really down. Anyway, enough about my sob story....LOL
And Swish- no symptoms other than things that seemed to happen last cycle which turned out to be nothing. I have round ligament pains when I stretch in the am...which is weird but I'm not thinking it's anything at 6dpo. Other than that and a few twinges in my uterus....pretty much nada. I do have a good feeling that I'm not pregnant but I'm afraid to feel confident about it...don't want to get my hopes up that I can still go to this conference. ~sigh~ Feels very weird to NOT want to be pregnant....Thanks for asking about me:HH:

Hello everyone :) :)
(((HUGS))) to you Mochagirl!! Hang in there!! I am so sorry you are feeling down!! I think that ttc is such a rollercoaster ride with so many highs and lows.... you can do it! :) :) I was feeling so down after my 8 day luteal phase that I cheated really bad on the diet... ugh!!! I am still 6 weeks from my first attempt now that I can't see my OB until Aug 10th.. seems like FOREVER away!!
I love seeing everyone's sways all listed together!!! :)
swish ~ yummy!! the pizza sounds soooo good!! :) :)
zanacal ~ ok this may seem like the dumbest question ..... why do we want to dry up all the EWCM? Ugh... I feel like an idiot! lol... is because of the PH? If we are using rephresh doesn't that change anything it comes in contact with to a low ph? I planned on using zyrtec one day for my attempt and I must admit that I am not sure why.. ugh!
I asked this in a thread... but I have a question for all of you. :)
I weigh 108.. I have lost 8 pounds so far with 6 weeks or so to go until our attempt. I am concerned about losing more weight... do I cheat a little to gain some back? What would you do?
Have a great day everyone! :)

Hi happy heart, alot of us have had big problems with weight loss, my advice would be don't gain any now but eat enough to maintain your current weight, I know this is easier than it sounds, I always eat a large dinner (double portion of pasta, rice etc.). I really wish I'd eaten more in the beginning as now I have a bmi of 18.2 which is really underweight but I'm reluctant to put on weight as my body will think times are good again! In reference to drying cm, I think more helps the spermies on their way and therefore results in more sperm and that means more boys - please anyone correct me if this is totally wrong!!!

It's just another way to lower sperm count - lots of EWCM helps lots of the little fellas to survive and make it to the egg and less sperm is what sways pink. The blue swayers do the opposite and take supplements and eat foods to increase/improve their EWCM.
There are a few pink swayers in a similar position with weight loss and I'm sure they'll have some advice - I'm much 'bigger boned' so I'm afraid I'm no help there :D

Hey ladies - I'm feeling a lot better today. I think I can manage another month on this diet if I take a more easygoing approach to it and let myself go over 40g of protein once in a while. I'm also going to allow myself the occasional treat if I go out for supper, for instance.
AF is due tomorrow, and I'll feel better once she's here and I can officially move into the next cycle. CD1 feels like a new beginning, and it makes me feel better to know I'll be back in the 2WW in 2 weeks.
I've even started to see the positive about having 3 May birthdays. My Mom always visits from out of town on my twins' birthday anyway, so she'll already be here to help out if I go into labour around then (we have no family in town, so we rely on her coming to visit to watch the kids while I'm in labour), and even if I'm at the hospital on their actual birthday, she'll be able to make it special for them since she's pretty much their favourite person in the world after dh and me. I'll make sure to schedule their birthday party a couple of weeks before their actual birthday so that won't be cancelled.
May is a nice time to have a birthday - it's finally warm enough for an outside birthday party, and a baby is a nice way to start off spring/summer.

I'm pleased too because the EWCM I had on CD9 has virtually disappeared. Last month it resulted in me ovulating on CD13 but I took an OPK today (CD12) and it was negative. I'm happy because I don't actually want a regular cycle because that's what I had when I conceived the boys!

Hang in there, LadyScarlett. You'll find lots of former salt addicts here, but it really does get easier as you go on with the diet. I find now that I'm 3 months in, salt isn't my big problem - it's keeping my protein below 40g. I find that in doing that, my sodium is often less than 700mg by day's end. Lately I've been rewarding myself with a tiny half portion of low fat chips as a reward - I'm amazed I can still eat them and keep under 1000mg!

Hi ladies, how are you all? I'm pleased the weekend is here :D
I'm going out tonight for a meal at a work friend's house, along with 10 other ladies from the office, so am looking forward to that. There's a street market in our town tomorrow so we'll walk to that with the boys in the morning (and I'll have to avoid all the yummy food - but may allow myself a sugar free vanilla latte in Costa Coffee!). I'm loving not doing school runs over the summer holidays, even on the days I have to work it means I can leave later in the mornings and get home an hour earlier.
My 'ovulation' signs have all but disappeared which is very strange! Of course I'm pleased because I didn't feel good about getting back my regular 28 day cycles that I conceived my boys with - but I'm even more happy that it means our one off attempt shouldn't fall on the night we're at Legoland and all sharing a hotel room. That would have been very tricky!

I haven't chatted much about our plans because I'm still waiting to see if our oops resulted in anything...but my DH and I have had a big chat about our TTC plans. A few weeks back when I jumped onto diet band wagon, supps etc and really went hardcore I was starting to become a pretty nasty person. My hubby honestly wants me to do whatever I need to do for this sway but he could see it was eating me away, from the inside, out. I was unsure...then I would have a bad diet day...obsess about messing it up. So, after many nights of tears, a heartfelt discussion with my mom(who I have to say is one person that I would love to have a girl for...she told me that she is ecstatic that I want to have 4 children. She does not care one iota what that baby ends up being. I cried A LOT during this talk as I thought she wanted a granddaughter very badly. She said she wanted me to have a daughter for my sake but that she honestly doesn't care either way :HH:)and really thought about my wants and desires...and the dynamics of my family. SO...all this to say that I'm going to start TTC next month with very minor swaying(timing, etc). I feel really good about it. I will not let myself have GD. I'm actually kinda excited about 4 boys....which is not something I thought I would ever say! It feels nice.
Sorry for the rambling.....but Z....you have a September TTC buddy!! :D

Sounds like you made a good choice, DM. There's no sense doing the diet if you find it all-consuming and stressful. I don't think I'm going to be able to manage more than another month on it (I've already been on it for 3 months and have lost nearly 20 pounds).
By the way, for those who aren't on the 2WW thread: af arrive late last night, so I'm on CD1. In another week we'll start our frequent BD (sigh...I'm so tired of the daily sex, though dh thinks he won the lottery), and I expect to ovulate around August 18th.

August 5th, 2011, 10:05 PM
I just realised that yet again, I'm going to be away from home in the days leading up to O. It won't be as bad as the cottage - we'll be at my Mom's house, and she knows about the swaying (though dh doesn't know she knows). I think I'll be ok on the diet - I'll probably eat a little more than usual because I know my Mom's really worried about me being too thin, but I think I can stick to mainly girl-friendly foods. She wants to babysit for us one night so DH and I can go out for a very, very belated anniversary dinner - I figure if we go to a nice Italian place I can get pasta or thin crust pizza and be ok.
We will be swimming a lot in her pool, but I won't O until at least 4 days after we return back home - will that be ok? I've been planning to avoid Rephresh this cycle since I'm worried that's what's keeping me from getting pregnant, but maybe I should use it while at her house to keep PH from being too affected, or does it not make a difference that far from O?
Frequent BD is going to be awkward, but not impossible at her house. We'll be the only guests, as far as I know, which means we should be able to have a bedroom to ourselves. I know it will be very hard to get dh in the mood under his MIL's roof, but if we get the basement room I might be able to convince him ;).
What do you think? Will this trip mess up my sway at all, or do you think a bit of pool swimming and food cheating 4-6 days before O will be ok?

At the meal at my friend's last night we all sat down at the table and literally straight away somebody says 'are you pregnant, do you fancy another maternity leave?' and I said something like 'Why is it that I've lost lots of weight but people keep asking me if I'm pregnant?!' then I went to see if our host needed any help in the kitchen while they were all still talking about it! Do you think it's rude to ask somebody whether they're pregnant or planning to be pregnant? I'm always getting asked (mainly at work!), because I've had 3 children in recent years apparently that means it's ok to come straight out with it but I feel like it's a very personal question!

Oh, and thanks for the reassurance about my trip this month. You're right - no matter when we TTC, there's bound to be something. At least this trip won't cause as much trouble as the cottage trip. It helps having an ally in my mother - she knows I'm on a restrictive diet so I can either make my own meals or suggest things to her that I can eat.

Had a chuckle last night on our first BD without protection or BCP... as I'm laying on my back, propped hips, afterward, the DH goes "swim, swim, swim" to my stomach. Got a good laugh after spending 12 years trying NOT to get pregnant and hoping we DON'T have a super swimmer or super egg.
Having doubts about Rephresh... has ANYONE gotten a BFP while using it every 3 days? I checked my PH this morning and it was 4.5 or even a little lower after DTD last night. I tend to be VERY acidic anyway, but almost thinking the Rephresh should raise a TOO LOW Ph to a better PH... but just making myself a little nuts. I didn't seem to see any Sways with Rephresh that someone got a BFP. Maybe I just didn't read enough of them????
Ok, need to stop. Time to go write a paper. UGH.

"Are you gonna get fixed next time?" I'm always getting asked (mainly at work!), because I've had 3 children in recent years apparently that means it's ok to come straight out with it but I feel like it's a very personal question!
Had this issue about 3 years ago at work. Don't know if it was the clothes I was wearing at the time or the fact that I'd put on about 15 lbs. I just replied that, "No, I'm just getting fat" and walked away. Turns out one of my coworkers was pregnant but hadn't announced it. Ironically she was in the room at the time when I was asked. But I went home feeling so crappy about myself and my appearance and thought it was one of the rudest things ever. So I know how you feel about the rude questions!

Yes I am passing up food, so that probably has them suspicious, because I'm such a pig usually!
Here's a Rephresh BFP story:
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?3878-Hopefully-a-successful-girl-sway!
Thanks! Guess I should have kept reading... and I'm only half-tubing it! (I get the suspicious stink-eye for turning down wine, beef, etc. Luckily it is with family and close friends who know we are TTC so I just have to "NO I AM NOT PREGNANT YET!" occasionally and remind them I'm "just trying to keep my hormones level". They're so funny.)

When I was 18 and weighed 200lbs I was a friends wedding and a guy asked me when I was due? And just quietly trying not to cry told him I wasn't pregnant and he apologized but it made me go home and starve myself not a good diet but I was so upset I couldn't eat and when I did it was very little and I did lose all that weight to 130(I am 5ft9in) but really fat or skinny people shouldn't ask, because what if you were and wanted to wait until you were out of 1st trimester, then like me would lie lol and tell them no just because my history of m/c so people shouldn't ask

That must have been awful for you melinda, {hugs}
I'm hoping somebody with experience of Fertility Friends can help with this question:
'Does anyone know if people commonly keep track of this on FF? As in, we could go back and look at charts and see if there was any correlation between right sided and left sided O pain and gender??'
It's from the Ovulation pain thread where I'm analysing to death my less painful than usual and possibly left sided ovulation this month!!

Last month I got O pains on the left even though I ALWAYS get my pains on the right. Later some right pains joined in, which made me worry I was going to have twins again! :worry:
I was researching the correlation of O-pain side and gender as well as well then gave up when it started to look like I wasn't going to get my BFP....

UGH.
I think it makes TTCing more difficult from what I have read. its such a toss up between wanting to do everything you can to sway pink and just wanting to get pregnant! i ordered some online and it hasnt arrived yet. My attempt will be next weekend so if it doesn't arrive i will take that as a sign. Have been a bit nervous about using rephresh anyways so maybe the decision will be made for me! hope this helps.

I agree...very rude. I think when you already have kids ppl assume this pregnancy questions are fair game. I get this at work all the time. I guess the weight loss doesn't help but what can we do? You just hope that good friends would be considerate and not so forth coming.

Sometimes I think all the diet coke and crystal lite i'm drinking (plus the LE diet) is enough to make conception more difficult. If you use rephresh too it might take forever. I'm constantly moving between just getting pregnant or swaying as best I can so I get my DG. Its so annoying!!!

So I completely fell of the diet wagon last week while we had company visiting, but I am officially back on it starting today. Its been hard since I'm craving sweet, good food but I keep telling myself it is all worth it. I will O this friday or saturday so I am hoping I can lose a couple lbs by then so I can be in a weight loss mode. Its funny, i really want to get pregnant this month but since I messed up last week I'm kinda nervous. I wish i had more self control but I couldn't help it. Its hard to refuse brownies, cupcakes, hamburgers, and everything good. I'll stop now so i that I don't tempt anyone else!!

I agree, manidcane, it's sooo hard to keep to the diet when you're away or have company visiting. Every single month I've had something. The first month I was on the diet, I had my in-laws staying with me for a week. The next month, I had lots of dinner guests and dinners out, in July I spent 4 days at the cottage with my brother's family and my parents, then this month we're going to my mother's house on the weekend before I O.
I think there's no such thing as a perfect sway. Life happens - we can't put everything on hold just because we believe eating certain foods will help us get our girls. I think it's the general trend that matters anyway. I've been keeping strict to the diet probably 95% of the time for the past 3 months, so surely if I eat pizza or chocolate a couple of times it's not going to throw all that out the window.
mandicane
August 7th, 2011, 08:27 PM
Thanks mochagirl...you're so right; life happens so we just have to adjust and go with it. There is no way that girls are conceived by moms who don't enjoy themselves with food. If I think of the ppl I know with girls they are heavy, thin and everything between. You're also right about the 'general trend' of how we eat. i've been on this diet about 80% for 3 months and have gained and lost weight. I've decided to stop stressing about it and to just have fun with it. My dh and I had a good talk the other day and he told me i need to relax and just go with it. So thats what I'm trying to do. I can't stop enjoying life just because I want a baby girl. But i will try to do my best!

Hi ladies. Sorry to change the subject so rudely, but I had to share this with someone.
I got a psychic reading from an English lady, Kate, who I found on Ebay. She had a high rating. I'm not really the kind of person who 'believes' in psychic readings, but I was feeling a little desperate yesterday. I was allowed to email her three questions and she answered at length. I had to give her my full name and birthdate. That's it.
I'm frankly a little stunned. My questions were: am I going to get pregnant soon, should I move and if I do get pregnant what wil the gender be? I didn't mention anything else.
She wrote me today and basically said that I would not get pregnant without some intervention, though I wanted to do things 'naturally.' Well, that can be inferred by my age. Then for question 2 she said I was the only one in my family who wanted to move, and that I would probably do so in 16 months, but not back to the metro area where I wanted to go. That's 100% true. Then she said if I used some kind of intervention I would have a BOY or even twin BOYS since twins run in my family. She said she knew I wanted a girl, and that I had other boys, but that I would never have a girl.
Okay. How did she know twins run in my family? How did she know I wanted a girl? How did she know I wanted to move to the metro area? I'm trying to be logical here, but I'm flummoxed! And a little bummed.

What have you ladies all decided with regards to regular BD/release or abstaining?
Abstaining won't work for us as DH has a very high sex drive and he says no.
We were going to DTD every day with a spermicide condom then have one attempt 'au naturele' once I got my +OPK but now I'm thinking there are too many uncertainties with the spermicidal condom - I've read that it may increase pH in the vajay and increase risk of infections, so now I'm leaning towards keeping clear of spermicides.
However, I liked the idea of only one attempt because I thought it would be less stressful (only having to think of EVERYTHING once) and that it would definitely mean low sperm count - but if we're not using the spermicidal condoms do we use normal ones or nothing at all or try to have 'relations' every day but not necessarily always DTD. You see, it's complicated already!!
I'd love to hear what you're all planning and what your thoughts are.

I don't know how she knew all she knew but I know it wouldn't stop me from doing all I could do in getting my little girl, maybe it was a warning that your girl sway wasn't going to work, to maybe try something else, I don't know, I have been told things by "prophets" and I was able to change the outcome, I think it was a warning telling me that if I keep going this certain way this is what's going to happen,(I was also told by a physic I would never have girl and that I would only have 3 boys, I feel its because I was gonna stop at 3) so I wouldn't just except that your outcome is more boys or twin boys, because I would try my hardest for girls and besides I was done at ds3 and swore no more but circumstances came up and tube were never tied, then ds4 and I was sick wouldn't tie my tubes come back, then gall bladder surgery and sorry gotta wait longer to tie tubes I didn't care I was done didn't won't anymore babies and here I am ttcing #5 lol after I said I would NOT have 5 kids lol so even if next is another boy who knows maybe the next one will be your girl, IF this person is right maybe she says you will never get a girl because you will stop after this one? I was also told on ig by a physic I wouldn't have a girl(she was right about some stuff but she was more wrong than right but I just politely thanked her anyways) I won't give up on my baby girl I WILL have one even if I have to adopt one, but I am just saying for you to not get down there is nothing wrong with giving all you got to prove they were wrong :)

Hi Zanacal...I'm doing frquent BD (have been for the past week) for my attempt. A few times my husband has done it on his own, iykwim, but starting yesterday we have been BD w/o any protection. I want to get pregnant right away and I don't really care about timing so I'm going to be BDing from now everyday through O (which should be this Saturday). i thought about doing one attemp for lower sperm count and all but I just have this feeling it will take me forever to get pregnant. At this point I would love a girl but I just want a healthy baby. My girlfriend gave birth to a baby boy the other day and when I held him I realized that ANY baby would be a blessing for us. It would be nice for my Ds to have a brother too. That being said, I think you're attempt sounds good. Maybe you could do one attempt and go easy on the other sway factors like antihistamines, J and D, sylk and/or rephresh? Just a suggestion. GL!

That's pretty much what I'm doing too, mandicane. AF just ended, and DH has been releasing every day since it started (though we missed one day a couple of days ago). Now we'll start dtd unprotected or releasing every night (we'll be at my mom's house on the weekend, so it will be easier for him to release discreetly there than for us to DTD) until I know O has happened, which should be about a week from now. The last 2 months we had a 1 day cut off, but I think this time we'll bd through O.
I know that atomic doesn't suggest abstaining to people over 35, and I fall into that category. I also don't like to leave everything to one attempt. After 3 months on this diet, I want to get pregnant NOW!

That's permanent, she said yes I figured since you have 4 kids already you were done, I said uhh you assumed wrong, and then she said well after 4 boys the odds of a girl is low more like zero honey, and then went off about what statistic said and blah blah, after I got over my shock I told her well its really up to God isn't it, and who said I didn't want another boy! It was quiet the rest of the exam, when I got out to my car I cried and then it pissed me off so bad I am bound and determine to prove her wrong and then rub it in her face lol so now its on! Lol I just got to wait until af next week so I can start lol but wow that u/s tech just talked way to much and cross the line big time, I should of stopped her way back at "getting something more reliable" its non of her dern business if this was my 15th BOY!

Sounds like a lot of us are doing about the same thing. We decided to do frequent BD unprotected, have been since Friday and I O this coming Friday or Saturday. I was going to do a 2-3 day cutoff, but I'm thinking I will BD through my +OPK if the DH can handle it. LOL he is grumbling when I won't let him go to sleep! Been using the Rephresh (1/2 tube) every 3 days and so far my PH has stayed below 5 consistantly, even with the frequent BDing. FXed!

First of all - OMG Melinda, what a cow! I'm sure you've read tonnes more than her on the subject anyway, no doubt she was repeating whatever was written in her one text book on the subject ... and you're absolutely right, who said you didn't want another boy?! I can't believe she tried to offer you a 'permanent' contraceptive. What an assumption! That was very unprofessional and I'd complain about it (unless I was trying to keep my testosterone low :D). Big {hugs}. There are plenty of women who have several of one sex before having one or more of another. WE know that so you just ignore that insensitive job's worth ok? {hugs} P.S. If you should find yourself pregnant with twin girls make sure you have to go back and see her and rub it in!!
Thanks all for letting me know what you're doing with frequent BDing. I'm not concerned about timing either but I am concerned with lowering sperm count because I got pregnant so quickly with each of the boys. I'm not confident that I'll get pregnant with one BD but I feel like if I got pregnant straight away with another boy and I'd BD'd several times then I'll assume our sperm count was still too high, so I'll give it a couple of months then forget about the condoms. I decided we'll use regular condoms (not spermicidal) and Rephresh. Right now, getting pregnant with a girl is more important to me than getting pregnant all together. Don't get me wrong, I'll take (and love!) another boy if that's what's to be but we wouldn't actually be trying again if we already had a mixture of sexes. That sounds terrible and I doubt myself all the time because I'm sure we WILL end up with that 4th boy but when I think that I do actually get excited at the thought of it so I know it will be ok. I love something DoulaMama (I think!) said once, that the third boy was sent because he was meant to be hers and if #3 had been a girl she wouldn't have tried again and he wouldn't have come. I think this is such a beautiful idea :D

The idea that's introduced on page 2 is that perhaps calcium is swaying when taken in very high quantities because taking some minerals in high dosages (like Boron) lower fertility (because they're poisoning you!). Sodium is another mineral which has has also been shown to reduce fertility in the past. Of course this is unproven but I think it's such an amazing idea - have a read :D

I did say that :) I really believe that! I would not have my sweet Harry if my little girl had been #3. My hubby would have said NO MORE! I can't imagine my life without his sweet personality and beaming smile. He's my little angel:)
You're going to get your girl, Z. She's probably tapping her foot up there wondering when her chance is coming:)

Hello Girls! I haven't been on here in ages! My company was very nosey and I couldn't sit down to type without them hovering! What a nerve!
Anyway, the plan I wrote out on my modified sway is a little redundant now.....geesh! I honestly can't believe that I'm pregnant. It's totally shocking actually. I did say that I wanted an April baby and have said that since DS3 was born...so maybe when I changed my plans for TTC, the sweet little soul up there was like "No way. I'm coming now whether you like it or not." LOL
Anyway, Hello to all the newbies on the thread! Good to meat you! (that was a joke btw....good ole food jokes never get old on this diet...)

DM - glad you're still here!
I've started to second-guess our decision to TTC this month, with the due date that's on my twins' birthday, and was stressing over the should I/shouldn't I question as O approaches. Luckily I talked to my Mom last night and asked her what she thought. It turns out the next month's due date (June 8th) would be waaaaay worse because she'll be away in Spain for 3 weeks and wouldn't be able to come help us out after birth. There's no way I'd wait 2 months before TTC again, so the decision is made for me. Now, if we don't end up getting pregnant again this month, I may have to make a big decision, but we'll cross that road when we come to it.

Sorry if I was insensitive Yuzu, I'm afraid I don't really *do* psychics and so on. I kind of steered clear of it, not necessarily because I don't believe (I've never thought it through enough to have an opinion) but because I don't want to know! Anyhow, I can see how upset you must have been to have it spellt out that way and I'm glad that the other ladies have been able to reassure you. I love Melinda's idea about changing tactics rather than changing direction completely! {hugs}
You weren't insensitive at all! I usually don't do psychics either, but I just had this whim going and I decided to take a chance. I should have asked her for lottery numbers! LOL!

Thanks, DM. I'm due to O on Wednesday or Thursday. Right now I'm out of town visiting my Mom for the weekend, so my diet isn't 100% and I'm also doing lots of swimming in her pool, but I'm hoping the relaxation I experience being here is helping counteract all that stuff.
DH and I are taking advantage of the free babysitting and going out tonight for a veeery belated anniversary supper (over a month late). I chose a nice Italian place with thin crust pizzas, and I've been salivating all afternoon looking at the menu. Check it out:
http://www.atomica.ca/lunchdinner/
What would you guys order? All I've eaten today is half a low sodium bagel with a smear of peanut butter and a bit of fruit (not the best lunch, but as I said I'm out of town and having to improvise). I think I'm sitting at about:
340 calories
8g protein
100mg of sodium
I plan to cheat a little since I've been on this diet way to long and very rarely get to go out for dinner with dh. I'm thinking maybe a salad and a veggie pizza then some gelato for dessert?
It's only 4:30 and our reservation isn't for 3 hours...I'm soooo hungry!!!

I'm so pleased you're having a relaxing time mocha ... and look at the name of the restaurant, is it a sign do you think?! I was going to read the menu but my tummy is rumbling and I've finished eating for the day! I think the veggie pizza sounds like a great option though.
I keep meaning to say, I think I should stay well clear of obsessing over symptoms in the 2ww because this month when I definitely am not pregnant (we didn't DTD unprotected so don't even go there!!) I've had dizzy spells (the diet of course!), abdominal cramps and sore boobs. I would so be getting my hopes up on a ttc month!

Ack getting nervous, af is due next month when bding will matter and my sway will be tested but won't know the results until I give birth(assuming I get pregnant right away), I just need to keep pushing it out of my head, I have it written down so hopefully I can focus on one day at a time instead of running it over and over in my head afraid I might forget something lol so good luck to all the aug/sept cycles and praying your sway works :)

:think:Any idea how much a BIG O affects a sway? I've tried so hard NOT to have one this week with the frequent BDing (I did the first time but haven't since) but I went and had one in my sleep last night! And I think I am ovulating today (or tomorrow) based on OPK... Hope a vivid dream didn't mess me up too badly! LOL the things we can't control, eh?

Hi girls, great we have a chit chat thread!!
I´m back from my holiday, my first attempt didn´t work, I had faint IC positives for a couple of days and then AF came 2 days late. Unfortunately in the 3 days I thought I was pregnant, I ate a lot of bad stuff: salmon, tuna, red meat, chips, eggs..
Now I´m ready to ovulate (right on the full moon again:sigh:), did some more to lower sperm count this time because of that food, used sylk and jumped and dumped sort of. Hope to have another attempt tonight. I am really fed up and I´m becoming slightly depressed. DH is putting more effort in making me eat meat and controlling if I gain weight, I think next cycle I will skip and eat and then figure out a milder sway.
Sorry to hear you´re not pregnant either mocha
Great your attempt is almost here zana!
Good luck to all you girls :luck:

August 14th, 2011, 05:12 PM
Thanks girls :HH:
Was feeling better today, I agreed with DH that I will eat normal again when this cycle is over. And I actually felt relieved, it took away a lot of pressure.
I really need to do a sway that I can integrate in my lifestyle, that I can stick to for a long period because I now understand it´s not that easy to get pregnant in 1 or 2 months when swaying girl. So I will still skip breakfast and try not to snack (this is the hardest part for me), I can cook slightly low fat, eat a low protein lunch and maybe I will go with cardio every day. And I will allow myself to do some painting or restyling in my house, I get to depressed without my projects!
Now that I wrote that down, I feel better again! Well enough about me, sorry for ranting, how are you all doing girls?

August 14th, 2011, 07:35 PM
I think you've made a wise choice, Indira. If I don't get pregnant this month, I think I will need to take a month off - both for my sanity and because my mother has a trip planned for next June and wouldn't be able to come help out with the kids when I have to go to the hospital to have the baby. I've already dropped some of the sway - I'm taking it a little easier on myself with the diet, I've dropped Sylk and used only a bit of Rephresh this weekend to counteract my pool swimming, but don't plan to use anymore before I O in a few days. If I end up having to continue the diet, I'm planning to stay vegetarian for the most part, but I won't obsessively track all my protein and sodium and will allow myself to eat more normal food.
I'm filling out an RSVP card right now for an October 1st wedding. I can choose between the prime rib au jus or the portobello mushroom stuffed with goat cheese. Should I take a risk and ask for the prime rib? I'll either be pregnant or have af then, and I haven't had red meat in 3.5 months (by then it will have been 5 months, unless I get pregnant sooner). I'm sure the portobello would be lovely, but that prime rib sounds sooooo good!
XXdreaming
August 14th, 2011, 08:55 PM
its recommended to stop the diet after 6mos and take a 2 week break I believe, so just do yours a month early and enjoy that prime rib and all the other goodies (but praying you will be pregnant by then :) )
Mochagirl
August 14th, 2011, 09:03 PM
Thanks, Melinda. I chose the prime rib - I know I'd be kicking myself if I'm pregnant by then but stuck eating a mushroom while everyone around me eats meat! Even if I'm still on the diet, I'm sure one steak in 5 months wouldn't ruin my sway completely.

♥ Your approach to pink sway:I am trying to work out the diet :tissue: taking cal/mag etc.. tons of crystal light. plan on using sylk while BD, using lavender anything I can find, rock salt lamp, fountain, candles, ion bracelet, basically anything negative ion generating I can find:wink: My DH is onboard with taking the supps too (tired of hearing me say how much I want a :DD: he'll do anything at this point I think LOL) Plan on using O + 12, I am also entertaining any wives tales I can find :fingers:

mocha prime rib :agree::agree::agree::agree::agree:you made the best choice.
 hi pink dreams, did you see the low everything diet Atomic wrote? I basically eat (on my good days :)) iceberg lettuce and brown sugar glutenfree pasta for lunch and rice with leeks and zucchini and a yoghurt for dinner and some coffee in between- well actually I ate 8 rice cakes with marmelade as a late night snack yesterday but that´s just because I´m feeling so sorry for myself. And I had applepie everyday when I was on holiday, I´ve started to base my diet a little more to the idea that girl´s mums eat unhealthy and a lot of sweets
Now I have to prepare for relatives visiting, I won´t be able to skip breakfast because we usually have big breakfasts together. I think I will just have a slice of white bread with marmelade or rice cakes. I will try to not snack even if I will offer cookies and pie to them with tea and coffee :sigh:. They are coming over to see if I´m ok, my aunts that came over in july told them I´m so thin so they think I´m anorexic. But they are very sweet people, they were my parents best friends and the look after me and my sister ever since my parents died, so if it gets hard I think I will just tell them about the girl diet.
I will be in the 2ww, but I think we missed the egg anyway, we DTD on Friday and I think I O-ed last night, we´ll have another shot tonight maybe.

Welcome Pinkdreams!
So I had my attempt on the weekend and O'ed last night. So glad its over because we've Bding every day for 14 days straight!!! I am so tired of it its unbelieveable but my DH sure did enjoy it! I'm excited but nervous at the same time. I was NOT good on the diet at all. I tried my hardest to eat minimal amounts of chicken but I was not cutting calories. I didn't gain but def. didn't lose ( I have lost 50lbs in the past year and half since conceiving my DS so sick of dieting!)
We BD up unitl O (8 hour cut off!), I used sylk, and benadry the week leading up (I actually had a sinus infection/cold so I used it for two reasons I guess). I kept up with the asprin and folic acid but my rephresh arrive yesterday (great..sigh) so didn't use it as part of my sway. I guess I'm hoping that frequent BD, sylk, apsrin, and the antihistamins were on my side. I so hope that I am pregnant this round cause I do not want to do that diet again.
Thats about it. I'm officially in the 2ww so I'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for listening ladies!

Hey mandicane - I just got my +OPK and I think I'm going to O tomorrow, so we're on almost the same cycle! I hear ya about getting sick of frequent BD - this month we've only dtd a few times, but I've been (ahem) helping him release every night for a week and a half, and I'm getting really sick of it. Even DH seems not to be in the mood anymore, which is huge for him since he's normally such a horndog - it shows we've been TTC too long already!

I hear you too mandicane and mocha about being fed up of BD, and ours isn´t even frequent! SP is really a libido-killer for me.
I have totally dried up, so I think tonight will be too late for an attempt, we´ll try anyway and I still have the 3 day cut-off from Friday. But it´s okay, this month just doesn´t feel right, but I´m doing much better now and positive about planning how to continue from here! Good luck both, I will stalk the two of you in the 2WW..

Guess I'm another one on the same cycle. Offically in the TWW now. Ended up with about a 1 1/2 day cut off- DTD last on Friday night, the DH got sick Saturday night and was all day Sunday too, so no Bding... +OPK was Sat afternoon, so I think I O'd Sunday AM, early, based on that, plus CP & CM. FXed... now the wait.

I am actually american, my DH is in the military and we have been stationed here for the past 3.8 years. We are set to return to the U.S. in the beginning of the year and I can't wait!!! I'm pretty sure I was eating breakfast on most days while trying to get pregnant before because I wasn't swaying and wanted to be "healthy" I was planning on trying to sway for #2 but didn't research very much at all and was basing it all on my limited hearsay knowledge of Shettles. Didn't know of the diet or supps etc... and at the time DS2 was conceived I was "caught up in the moment" and remember saying to DH "damn, that just made a boy":giggle:

pinkdreams - I'm the same way - I'm not a breakfast eater in general, but in the past I purposely ate breakfast while TTC in an attempt to be more healthy. I think maybe I avoided cereal with ds3 because that's around the time that breakfast study first came out, and I think I misunderstood it to mean just that eating cereal made more boys.

Hi ladies, how are you all? I'm not so good today, I have raging PMT :hair: It's odd because I don't usually suffer too much but my poor children had to put up with such a mean mummy today. Before I put them to bed tonight I basically got really cross about absolutely everything and started shouting and stomping about and in the end they were all crying :tissue: The worst thing is that I knew I was being awful but I couldn't stop myself.
It's been a really weird cycle for me this month. I've had EWCM and cramping throughout my whole LP, which atomic thinks might be down to me taking Vitex and Saw P throughout this month - and now this foul mood!

I'm feeling a little down today, ladies. I just got an email from my former BFF (she now lives in a different city from me so we rarely see each other), and she's 12 weeks pregnant. If I'd gotten pregnant my first cycle trying, we'd be due around the same time. She knows we're TTC and even knows about the swaying. Last I talked to her, they were taking a break from TTC after many months and some expensive medical intervention. Needless to say, I'm thrilled she got an oops pregnancy after so long trying (that's the way it often happens, isn't it), I'm just starting to feel like it's going to be a long road ahead for me before I get that BFP, especially as I'm probably going to have to take next month off if we don't get the BFP this month.

Aww, {hugs} mocha, I know you're happy for her but I still think it's understandable to feel bad about the news given that you're trying to get pregnant too. Just think, as we speak a sperm may already have met an egg and be looking for a home for 9 months in your tummy :D
I'm a b!tch again today afterall. Tomorrow I have to go to a meeting for work and just now I was thinking that I'd really like to call in sick and stay in bed and cry all day. This is so not me! Like XX said, I'm sure altering my hormones isn't helping, but I'm also feeling so overwhelmed by trying to decide what to do best 'sway' wise. Good Luck Mocha, I hope this is your month! (mine too, hehe) I know what you guys mean about feeling down. I have been like tht alot lately. Questioning timing and second guessing everything. Wondering what am I doing....scared of the gender disappointment....I don't know just scared overall. Swaying is so stressful. Gender envy, desire, and disappointment is exhausting. Family pressure is crazy! My DH's mom has had 4 grandson's in a row and no granddaughters except for step-granddaughters (which she treats amazing), she just really wants a girl so I feel the pressure of not only my own gender desire and potential gender disappointment but hers too!

Emmy I hope you can make your mother in law happy very soon :)
Zanacal, I´m sorry you´re feeling that way, hoping you´re doing better today.
What you´re describing is exactly how I felt a week ago, I would blow up for the smallest things Ds1 would do or say..I think the kids being at home for school holiday makes it a lot harder now to stick to the diet. Skipping breakfast, not snacking is so much easier if you have to go out mornings.
I have a real coffee now half afternoons and that reaaally helps a lot for my mood. Plus I let them play a lot in the garden with water without worrying things get wet, so I can relax and read magazines for a little while.
I actually ate breakfast the past couple of days because of my guests , but it was fine. I ate all carbs and only the protein that´s in bread, and i could really feel my blood sugar crash after a couple of hours.

Thanks all. The weather was awful yesterday, it rained constantly, I'm sure getting outside would have helped!
I ended up having a big food blow-out and then of course went to bed feeling terrible (and sick!) but today I'm cutting right back and what's done is done (or eaten!). I feel yucky still though, sick all day and like I've been kicked in the tummy. If we had been trying to get pregnant then I would be expecting a BFP (I'm not btw and I know because we didn't DTD unprotected and I took a test anyway!). My hair is also falling out today - definitely some weird hormonal stuff going on which I'm going to ask AS about.

Hello everyone!!!
I'm back from my Hols and there are solo many posts and new people!!! I'll have to catch up over time but the one thing I did notice is doulamama's news, omg!!!!! I can't believe it!!! Congratulations to you, dm!! I think that little bean really wanted to make it's way to you! I had a fantastic holiday and we had no internet access so a welcome break from swaying madness! I've had a really good think about every whilst I was away for a numberr of reasons which I'll go in to later but the main one is that I didn't ovulate this month, my temps never rose and although I wasn't reliably temping I know my usual cover line and it didn't go over it and the research I've done says my temp was not high enough to ovulate. Basically I think I've become too thin on this diet and my body is no long working properly. Obviously this had really worried me and scared me that I may not be able to have ANY other baby if I continue to deny my body. So on holiday I did skip breakfast but other than that I was pretty relaxed, we ate out every night and I really enjoyed pizza, pasta, garlic bread, fish and chips - it was a so good to eat real food! I have only put on 2 lbs so I don't know if I've done enough to ovulate next month but I'm going to carry on eating mo normally. Also met a couple who tried for 10 years for baby no 3 after 2 normal pregnancies and this really shocked me. I don't know if they swayed but they had boy no 3 after their long wait! The other reason I decided I needed to change something was the worry I'm causing my family who have no idea why I've had such a drastic weight loss. Lots of my mum's friends are expressing their concern to her too. Sorry that's a bit of a depressing return post!! Looking forward to catching up with all of you!

Zanacal, sorry lots of rubbish stuff is happening to you. Just to let you know I had terrible pms with bites and I've never really had it before. I also had a phase of being mummy from hell, food really affects your mood, fx for a first month bfp for you!!! hope you're feeling better today, x

swish - I'm so happy you're back! We've missed you a lot - especially on the food diaries thread, which has been so quiet you can hear a pin drop.
I'm really sorry you didn't ovulate, and I think you've made a very wise decision on the diet. I think I'll be doing something similar if I don't get my BFP this month (I'm 3dpo now): I'll skip breakfast, try not to snack, and stay vegetarian...but I'm not going to count every bit of sodium and protein that go into me. If I have to go yet another month, I may add in fish and chicken. Four months of starvation has been too long, and though I've managed to avoid getting so light I stop ovulating (probably only because I started out heavier than you), I'm also causing a lot of worry with people I love...not to mention I miss enjoying food!

Hi swish, welcome back!!
That´s funny that being on holiday made swaying things change for you too (not so funny you didn´t ovulated though).
I loosened up my sway coming back from my holiday too, my first attempt ended with faint positives for a couple of days and then AF showed up. Although this happens all the time, and there is no reason to think what I think, I believe and feel my body was to weak to handle a pregnancy, so I´m taking it easier now, I still skip breakfast and don´t snack, eat a low fat low protein lunch bu ti eat a normal dinner now every evening, with fish or chicken. And I drink a lot of coffee to make it through the day.
I think you made a wise decision about the diet as mocha says and I´m so happy that you enjoyed your holiday and ate good food! FX for that october pink bean:)

Hi Swish! Good to see you home safe and sound from your holidays! It's nice to get an internet break:) Thank you for the sweet comments! I was shocked and a bit upset for the first few days and now I'm seriously over-the-moon(haha...this is my doula business name!) that I get my little April Bug:) I think that this little one REALLY wanted to make his/her way here and I didn't have much say!
Is the lady that did your reading, IC1111? When she was on IG I asked her as well and she said Nov. conception-August baby...BOY. :( So far she's wrong on the first one...I hope she's wrong on the second! But as for your reading....that is crazy! She nailed it hey?! I hope you get your little July(or earlier!!) baby:) Cancer(July) is such a great horoscope sign...everyone I know that's one is such an amazing person:) Anyway, I hope you get your cycles back soon. It sounds like you've made a good decision with your diet:)
Mocha- I've been keeping my fingers so crossed for you Mama! I really hope that this is it!! 3dpo now right? Or more? I've been trying to come on here and post but I swear every time I go to sit down, my kids start killing each other, someone is hungry, baby needs a nap, I'M hungry...the list is endless. So I apologize for not keeping up with everyone:( I do stalk the 2ww thread....and I'm so excited for this month! I just really feel that there are going to be a lot of May babies next year:HH: Don't ask me why...just this odd feeling:) Come on Spring babies!!!!! Woohoo!!!
Z- I told you I wouldn't say anything about "you know what".....no stress...no pressure...just lots of luck and girlie thoughts coming your way, Hun. xoxo
Indira, Mandicane, Happyheart, XXdreaming, Emmy- Good luck to you for your attempts!!! Not sure if you guys are in the 2ww yet or not...but I'll be stalking you once you are!!!! Kinda creepy, I know!

No real symptoms yet, swish. Just the usual cramps and slight nausea in the morning, but I'm starting to think I always feel nauseous in the mornings on this diet and I only notice it in the 2ww. I'm 3dpo, I think, though I had a wonky low temp this morning so FF refuses to give me my crosshair to pinpoint O.

Thanks Doula, you're a sweetheart :D
Here's something funny, I just told DH there'd been a change of plan and that we wouldn't be DTD with a condom for the first week but I'd be helping him to release in 'other ways' so now he's all excited  I then said something like 'at least that way we'll be able to see if you start producing less stuff' and he says, 'hmm, I think I might need to do it twice a day for that to happen'. Really, I say, wouldn't every day for 10 days do it? He thinks no! I said there's no way I'm doing that for him twice a day but I'll do it once and if he feels the need in between while feel free! I really think it's time to crack open the licorice root ...

Z, have you changed your plan? Tmi but def noticed less stuff when dh releasing every day. Dh also likes the owing it every day plan, i suggested every other day to increase chanes but dh rejected it ridiculously quickly!!
Dm, I'm a cancerian!! Ds1 is a July birthday and ds2 is may, I've always planned for both to be June babies so maybe I'll get a June baby!
Where are you in cycle, indira? Has change in diet made any difference for you?

Yeah, I went off the spermicide condom idea because I read lots of people are allergic and they can cause yeast infections and UTIs. I'm sure they'd probably be fine but I don't want to risk it! We're going to have him release outside for a week and then DTD every day until I've ovulated and probably the day after that too :D
Mochagirl
August 19th, 2011, 05:58 PM
That's pretty much what we did, Z - though we didn't bother to DTD the day after O because I'm fairly sure I O'd in the middle of the night on CD13 (while, actually I guess it was CD14 since it was after midnight), which made our last attempt within a few hours of O. By the next evening, I would have been far later than O+12, and there's no way my eggie could live that long. Besides, I was sooooooo sick of BD by then. Poor DH tried to put the moves on me the other night and I pretty much looked at him and said 'Are you kidding???'

Where are you in cycle, indira? Has change in diet made any difference for you?
I´m 5dpo but I think I´m out this month, I did more to lower changes of getting pregnant this cycle because I build up muscle hiking in the mountains on our holiday.
No, diet change didn´t really change a lot for me, I didn´t gain weight either.
In my wonkiest cycle (when I went down to 105) I O-ed on cd 20, then in July on cd 17 and in August on cd 16.
Now I think I finally gained a chilo maybe because DH is really worried and he makes me eat at dinner and feeds me chocolate in the evening, he seriously won´t DTD next cycle if I don´t gain some weight.
I have bloodworks scheduled next week, my thyroid meds might be too high at the moment, I´ll see.
Hope af arrives soon for you, so you can get things starting gain, fx!
Mocha, I guess we O-ed on the same day, we can test together next week!

I don't know, either way it's a pain in the arse eh?
I found out today (because I asked!) that DH has basically always done frequent release. I'm glad I know! So now, as well as making sure he doesn't go any more than 24 hrs between releases (and I'm letting him worry about this - less stress for me) we're going to DTD the morning after I get my +OPK, having released at bedtime the night before. So, one attempt on O day. I guess this might be too much in terms of lowering sperm count, but maybe not if frequent release is the normal for him!!
mandicane
August 22nd, 2011, 06:16 PM
Sounds good to me. Did he do this (frequent release) when you were conceiving your other children?
zanacal
August 23rd, 2011, 03:42 AM
He thinks so. It's quite funny really, we have a 'normal' 2-3 times a week relationship together but he seems to count 'this' as part of his morning routine - along with getting a shower and brushing his teeth! I'm just really happy to leave this side of the sway up to him so it's one less thing for me to stress about.
swish
August 23rd, 2011, 03:55 AM

7dpo today and I still can't shake the feeling that I'm not pregnant. I mentioned to dh today that we'd have to take a month off if we don't get pregnant this month, and he really doesn't want to. He seems to think his mother could come all the way from the other side of the country to help us out, despite the fact that she only visits once a year and has yet to offer even once to watch the kids on her own to help us out. I'm just not comfortable TTC not knowing if we'd have anyone to take care of the kids while I'm in the hospital and help out with getting the older kids to school + entertaining ds3 all day, doing laundry, etc. in those first few days home with the new baby. My due date would be something like June 6th, and my Mom has a trip planned on June 8th for 3 weeks!
zanacal
August 23rd, 2011, 04:31 PM
{hugs} mocha, only you know what's right ... but if you had a little 'oops' then the timing wouldn't have been thought out and you'd have figured out a way anyhow and who's to say how close to their due date a baby will actually choose to arrive. FX you get a BFP this month and it's not even an issue!
After checking DH's pH this morning I'm convinced we'll have another boy anyhow. I posted separately but basically, I put a test strip on some 'stuff' and I'm pretty sure it was a 10! Have you all tested your DH's pH? I hadn't planned to but it was there (don't ask!) and I did it on the spur of the moment. Wish I hadn't bothered really!
Mochagirl
August 23rd, 2011, 05:07 PM
Every time I've tested DH's PH it's been a 7, and since I have low ionic strength, my PH becomes a 7 as soon as we DTD. I wouldn't worry about it, though, Z. Maybe get him to drink lots of Diet Coke for the next couple of weeks.
Oh, and thanks for the kind words about my situation. You're right about the 'oops' pregnancy thing, except that I know if it was an Oops my Mom would cancel the trip she's so excited about to be with me (I know she would even though I would never ask her to), and I don't want her to do that for me because of a conscious decision I made. It's just that we have no one in town who can watch our kids for us. I have lots of Mom friends, but they all have young kids too, so the most I could ask would be a couple hours here and there. What if I end up being in the hospital for days? Last time I was home in 2 hours, but you never know - I could end up with another c-section....

I finally got my reading on sweetbabybump, and here it is:
I want to say you will get your BFP in September and it appears to be a girl!!! Now keep in mind if you are wishing for a girl, I might pick up on that energy as well...I also see boys around you as well...there is one about 17 years old, much older than to be your child hanging around up there so that might be someone who was or would be 17 right now or upon death watching over you and your babies. He has dark curly hair, skinny and tall..there is a B around him... GoD Bless
Obviously, I'm hoping she's wrong about the BFP date since af is due August 30th and I'm planning to take Sept off TTC, but I like that she predicted girl! (I tried not to give anything away about whether I have boys or girls to see what she'd say). I'm on cd5 today and have started to feel crampy and 'damp'. I just know I'm going to have a really weird cycle because I have a well thought out plan based on when I usually ovulate! I suppose I'll start using an IC OPK starting today and if I see even a hint of a line I'll switch to my (expensive!) digital OPKs. If I get an early +OPK I'll just have to get DH to cram in 3 or 4 releases in as short a time as possible if we haven't done enough regular releasing by that point. I had EWCM in my LP and Atomic wondered whether the Vitex was making me produce more oestrogen to make up for my lowered testosterone (caused by the Saw P) and I'm wondering whether that might mean I O early - higher oestrogen so earlier ovulation iykwim. Any idea on that anybody?
The thing I'm most concerned about is that I might O this weekend as we're going away to Legoland! We're only away for 1 night but I had thought that I wouldn't need to concern myself with even OPKs (we're away cd7 and cd8) let alone the chance that our attempt might have to be during that time. Of course we're sharing a room with the boys and I don't imagine they'll fall asleep particularly early!! Oh well, I suppose I could still be here on cd20 waiting to ovulate. Who can tell!
Mochagirl
August 26th, 2011, 06:42 AM

Thanks girls. Still crampy but a completely blank OPK - phew! Annoyed I'm going to have to take my swaying 'gear' away with me though! Perhaps cramping is my new thing all month long as I did alot of it in my last luteal phase!

Hey ladies...af arrived today, 2 days early, so I'm out for the month. We've decided to try this cycle after all. First of all, I realised that if I wait, the baby would potentially be born during my older kids' summer vacation, which would mean 4 kids 6 and under at home all day every day during those crazy early days with the baby. Also, with af arriving early, the attempt seems so close - and it also means my due date is nice and early - June 1st if I plug if I assume my cycle is back to its old 26 days - I'm not sure of my Mom's trip schedule, but it might be possible that she won't have left for Spain yet when I have the baby.
So...I'm back on the diet and am going to try to make this month's attempt a good one. I already dropped the Sylk last month, this month I'm also dumping the Rephresh. I'll continue Vitex, Saw Palmetto and the occasional Baby Aspirin + frequent BD and we'll BD through O again. Hopefully my reading was right after all, and I'll get a pink BFP in September. Wish me luck!

I just emailed my mom to find out the dates of her trip, and she'll be gone May29th to 12th! With a due date of June 1st, it's pretty much positive that she'll be off the continent when I give birth. I emailed her a breezy response saying that I'm sure my MIL will be able to help or else DH will have to step up and be on full-time kid duty for once...but after I emailed I felt terribly sad. I thought about how I'd feel if I was out of the country when my daughter gave birth - there's no way I could do that, and I'm starting to think my Mom is going to feel the same way. I'm worried she's going to be hurt that I'm going ahead and planning a pregnancy for a time when she can't be with me. She's so excited about this trip, she's already paid and everything, and I don't want to ruin it for her. With each of my births, she's been my rock and I couldn't have done it without her. At the same time, I really, really don't want to wait another month and then have a due date in the middle of summer vacation. What do I do??? I'm sitting here crying like a baby thinking about what my Mom must be feeling like right now.

I feel a lot better now. My Mom just called and we talked about it. She agreed that she doesn't want to be that far away from me when I give birth, but she said she thinks I should just go ahead and try and fate will decide for me what's going to happen. She also said that she could always fly home if I had complications or anything and she needed me. She also mentioned that the trip will only go on as scheduled if they get enough people to sign up - last year a similar trip got cancelled last minute because of the numbers, so she ended up booking an alternative trip and going at a different time. Would it be terrible for me to hope that happens again this time?

I'm glad you've sorted things out with your mum and I think it's wise to let fate decide. Nothing is set in stone at this point. Roll on two weeks time! Xx

Thanks, swish. I know I just feeling overly emotional because of af. I just was worried I'd hurt my Mom's feelings, and was second-guessing my decision to carry on. It doesn't help that I know she's really worried about me being on this diet, so I feel like I just keep causing her unnecessary stress.

She's my best friend, and I think that might be one of the biggest causes of my GD... For me, it's not about the pink or the princess stuff - I was a tomboy and think if I had a girl she'd be like that too...I think it's the adult relationship between a mother and a daughter I crave.

I feel exactly the same way. I'm very close to my mom and I would love to have the same relationship with a daughter. Plus, even though my mom tells me it doesn't matter what I have, I know she would be thrilled with a granddaughter. Sigh. I so wish I had no GD. Oh and I'm the same way about the pink frilly stuff... I was a tomboy and never wore dresses, ran around on a farm, manure everywhere... I plan on raising my girl just like I was so the early childhood part makes no difference to me in regards to gender. It's the relationship later in life.

Exactly, DM. I grew up with 3 older brothers and my best friend was a boy, so I ran around in the woods, collecting snakes and frogs on long summer days. My Mom has unintentionally nurtured my GD by constantly telling me that her relationship with my kids is just different somehow because I'm her daughter (she's close to her other grandchildren, but she has a much more hands-on role with my kids, and they are the favourites :)), and also because she's said to me many times that I was such a gift to her and she really wants me to have a girl someday....

Aww, mocha, that's so lovely. Often GD is way back in my mind and doesn't bother me on a day to day basis then I might pass a mother and daughter in the street (and often they're teenagers or adults and not pink frilly little girls) and it hits me bang in the face!
In a complete change of subject (and no doubt TMI) I'm trying not to freak out at the massive string of EWCM I had today. That's even more than usual for me! That being said, I'm on cd10 and I often get a burst of it around now and last month I didn't get much back after that initial lot of cd9/10. If I O the same day as last month (cd15) then our attempt will be on Sunday which is DS1's birthday - wonder if it's lucky!

Definitely a lucky day, Z! I'll be just under a week behind you, then - I think I'll O around the 9th or 10th of September. Maybe we'll both get pregnant this cycle and our babies will be due right around the same time!

That is so exciting, z!!! I can't believe you' nearly there! I feel exactly the same as you girls, it's the adult relationship I want, I'm not that girly and not into pink (although I'm sure I'll enjoy the girls clothes if I get the chance!!!) but it is an adult daughter I cannot imagine not having, having grandchildren, being part of a wedding etc etc. It's so silly ad things often don't turn out the way you want anyway and you can't plan someone else's life but the it is...
Still waiting for af, so frustrating!!!! I'm uncomfortable today and headachy but I've been fooled before!!

August 30th, 2011, 01:03 PM
I don't know, they took blood to test for all sorts but presumably pregnancy is in there. I keep googling people who got negative urine tests but positive blood tests, I can't help myself!! The thing is I think I'd be starting to feel rough and tired by now as I'd be coming up for 6 weeks. I don't know why I'm entertaining the idea, lol!!!!

I don't think it hurts to hold out some hope, swish - not everyone has symptoms in early pregnancy. And definitely ask your doctor to make sure they tested for a pregnancy next time you're there.

swish - I was going to ask when your tests would be back. I hope they bring positive news or that you ovulate or AF arrives instead. {hugs} to you too.
mocha - that would be so cool wouldn't it?!
DH has been releasing twice a day since cd3, so today is the 8th today (apart from 2 days when he only managed once - Legoland evening and this morning when he left for work at 4am!). I asked him if it was starting to become difficult and he said no! So I've decided to give him a licorice root each evening until I O. It's probably too late to do much good but perhaps it'll help and I didn't give it to him before because I didn't want it to get in the way of frequent releasing.
Do any of your DH's take cranberry or aspirin? My DH has so far been taking aspirin but I ordered him some cranberry because his pH is so ridiculously high and I thought they might do a better job of that. I'm slightly concerned about how 'healthy' they are though - any thoughts on that? I also only gave him 1 pill (10,000mg equivalent) but I wonder whether he should have 2 or 1 plus an aspirin. I think I'll give him 2 the night before our attempt regardless.
I'm so nervous that we haven't done enough (between us) to lower fertility - with him still merrily doing you-know-what and me oozing with EWCM - that I feel like I'm just going to pull out all the stops to NOT get pregnant. I also think I'm ovulating from the right hand side and I know that theory is completely unproven but it still makes me uncomfortable. I know this sounds odd but if I don't do Rephresh/Aci-jel/Sylk/JAD and we get pregnant first month with a boy I'll blame myself. Does that sound crazy?! Our attempt IS going to be on O day so my theory is that whilst we're doing everything we can to reduce the amount of sperm which might make it to the egg, at least there'll be an egg there waiting!

August 30th, 2011, 02:52 PM
Wow - your dh is quite the stud, Z! I always thought my dh had a strong sex drive, but even he gets tired by the time our attempt rolls around...and he's only releasing once a day!
I wouldn't worry too much about the healthiness of the cranberry - it's been an IG staple for a looooong time, and lots of people have gotten their desired gender while taking it.
I think on your first month trying, you might as well go all out and do the whole shebang...as long as you're ok with not getting pregnant the first month. I've been stripping away parts of my sway each month - last month I dropped the Sylk, this month I'm dropping the Rephresh. If we don't get pregnant this month, I might drop either the Vitex/Saw Palmetto or the frequent BD, as I'm starting to worry that dh's sperm count is too low to get me pregnant after releasing 7+ days in a row. He is 37, after all....

I imagine I'll be following the same route mocha! So funny about my DH, I'm just happy that I'm not having to control this aspect of it (he's taking it into his own hands - literally!) because it's helping me to relax and not be controlling on at least that aspect! He's being quite good really as he's also happily choking down the pills I'm suddenly shoving under his nose! Thanks for the advice on the cranberry.

I agree, z, I think you should go all out for the first month and gradually drop things, I've dropped it all practically, lol! Also I don't think you should give yourself a hard time,i think you have done SO much!

Great your attempt is finally here zanacal!
I remember being all giggly and excited the days before our first attempt.
About dropping things gradually; on our first month I only took zyrtec, didn´t use sylk, rephresh, didn´t j&d and I conceived but it didn´t stick.
On our second month I used zyrtec and sylk, j&d after a couple of minutes and I didn´t conceive. Next month I think I will take zyrtec only and maybe a tiny bit of sylk..no j&d.
I hope you get some answers from your doctor swish. I would absolutely be doing that kind of googling too!
I´m in a weird place right now, in my mind I´m sort of giving up on swaying, I just want to be happy again about TTC-ing and not obsessing on having a daughter. In fact, I´m allowing myself to do projects and am getting excited about a professional course I will start next weekend. But I´m still sticking to the diet, not to strict but still LE trying to gain weight on empty calories.

Indira, I think you have the right idea, life has to carry on (especially if it takes some months to conceive) and I also think that having that mindset may actually help rather than hinder - being relaxed and enjoying life is hardly the same as taking on swaying as the ultimate challenge is it?! I hope you're ok x

Af finally arrived!!! Now I can plan my next attempt, fx I will ovulate this month, my weight is up and I plan to keep it that way. I've completely dropped sp and vitex as I worried they lengthened my cycles. Do you think that's a good idea? Do you think they'll be any trace left now? I haven't taken any since the first week of august. All I'm doing this cycle is diet(all be it more loosely), frequent bedding, zyrtec, no rephresh, dh to take lr if he will! Does that sound ok?

YAY swish!!!!! I'm sooooo happy af finally came! I just know September is going to be a lucky month for all of us!
I suspect it was your weight loss and not your meds messing with your cycle, but I'm sure dropping Vitex and SP won't hurt your sway much. I'll probably drop both if I end up TTCing much longer. If you're not taking SP, you might want to start drinking peppermint tea.
This month I'm only doing diet, frequent bd and zyrtec (+Vitex and SP), so our sways will be similar. I'm also going to up my aspartame intake around O to make up for the lack of rephresh.

Yay swish, that's fantastic! I bet you've never been so happy to get your period :D I think your sway sounds just fine!
As for me, deep breath .... I got a smiley face today!!! I'm a little freaked out because I wasn't expecting it until the weekend but I'm trying to relax and just go with the flow now (what more can I do?!). I'm convinced this is a 'boy' cycle because I'm so crampy on my right side and I've got my +OPK early (cd11, so should O tomorrow) whereas last cycle when I was crampy it was on my left side and I had far less symptoms and didn't O until cd15. Thinking positively, at least my cycles are wonky (they used to be very predictable!) and I'll be doing alot of things to reduce our fertility so if more boys are conceived on the right because that's the more fertile side then perhaps we're doing enough to counteract that. DH has football tonight (great for testosterone lol!) then he'll have a bath and see to himself before bed. I used Rephresh yesterday morning and will use a little Aci-jel before bed tonight then our attempt will be first thing in the morning (hopefully on O day!).

Yay z!!! Don't worry at all about being in boy territory etc etc, you are doing SO much to sway pink, just relax and enjoy!! Mocha, I'm upping aspartame too, I figure so many women do it anyway it can't harm my sway. I am pleased to see af, just soooo nice to know where I stand. Got docs tomorrow but spoke to receptionist and she said my results are clear so definitely seems it was the weight loss that mucked me up!
