I should be grateful that God has blessed me 3 times with 3 amazing beautiful boys. My mind and my heart are in a constant battle of having another child especially my DG a DD. Im having my tubal reversal consult on March 26 and the cost of the surgery is 8500. Thats money that should be going for a house or saving for college for my existing children's. But my heart doesn't let go of my feeling of wanting a daughter. I pray day and night to find acceptance if i never have a dd and learn to let go because swaying is not guaranteed even if i give it my all. But my heart wants what it want.

A tube reversal is $8500? I never knew it was that expensive. Can you put that $8500 towards HT? We have had women with success cycle at FCNE which is close to you(I think)??

I would never do that for that price. Do an IVF cycle and get a guarantee!

We all understand how you feel! You can't change what you want even if you try. Acceptance is hard and it stinks to always be thinking about your dg. I hope you can get your DD someday. I agree that maybe put the $8500 into HT. Good luck

There is no doubt in my mind that I would be doing HT in your situation. A tubal reversal is no guarantee for pregnancy, you might still be infertile after spending 8500. And if you get pregnant you still have a 50% chance of having a boy. Doing HT (IVF with PGD) will give you the biggest shot of having a girl, spend your money on that, not a tubal reversal. An added bonus is if you get pregnant with IVF, then you will still have your tubes tied and no worries for any future unwanted pregnancies!
