View Full Version : Chemical Pregnancy from Donor Embryo FET - Does this sway at all?

I had a frozen embryo transfer on 3/17 with a beautiful baby girl embryo, and it unfortunately ended in a chemical pregnancy. I am not sure what our next step, if any will be, but I was curious if a chemical pregnancy would sway towards anything. I guess I am really just hoping to fill the hole in my heart that aches for a baby. I am devastated at our loss, but am thinking we might try after AF stops and hopefully I ovulate. I swing back and forth between simply wanting another child and wanting a daughter.

I have low ovarian reserve and I have heard that after a loss you are more "fertile" and it might sway girl. I am just wondering if there is any truth to that and if it is even worth trying. I guess I am just looking for ANY good news at this point.

Oh gosh I'm so sorry.

Chemicals are thought to sway slightly pink although I do not feel we have enough data to really say that and it may just be wishful thinking.

There may be something to the idea that you may make a better egg after a chemical, or it may just be as the Brits say, "rubbish". Is there any chance for another round of HT? If there is, I of course recommend not trying (because all this is sheer speculation anyway) but if this is well and truly it, it may be something to consider.

I'm so sorry it didn't work out, Beans. Was so hopeful for you.
