Emmy - here's my chart to show our BD pattern:

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/22b67e/

Every other month we did frequent BD, but it just didn't work out this month - we missed too many days. So instead, on CD 10 I had him release twice, then again in the morning on CD 11. We dtd for real the first time that night and every night after that until O. I only used rephresh once this cycle, on CD10, so it would have been long gone by O. I didn't use Sylk at all this cycle. I did take Zyrtec in the days leading to O, and was also taking Baby Aspirin and drinking TONS of Diet Pepsi.

What a roller coaster of a day. I just had to put my cat to sleep. She wasn't getting any better and seemed to be in pain, so it was the best thing to do. I'm sitting here bawling like a baby - the pregnancy hormones can't be helping. Luckily dh is working from home today so he can pick up my older kids at school, cause I'm a mess! I'll always think of her when I visit this website because her name was 'Mocha', hence my username. RIP, Mocha - you were a great kitty friend!

Oh mocha I´m so sorry about your cat mocha.
I just saw your fantastic news and now I´m reading this..it makes me sad thinking of you having put your cat to sleep.
My cat fell off the balcony when I was expecting DS1, she survived and I brought her in the house and then my labour started. It was a home birth so I was labouring and she was lying next to me healing. After 6 months or so she became very ill and week as a consequence of her falling, I had to put her to sleep too, it was so sad so I know exactly how you feel :HH:
Congrats for your line though!!!

oh Mocha sorry about your cat :(

Swish - I'd feel a bit mixed about the BFP if I get one (although the odds are greatly against that!), it would be good not to do the diet any more, but we did want to save up a bit of money before TTC again and also I'd only been on the LE diet for 3 weeks (and I do believe that diet is the key part of the sway) and hadn't used any RepHresh or anything! Tested my CM this evening and it's still a bit over 5 *sigh* - hasn't changed at all.

Aww Mocha, I wish there wasn't such sad news mingled in with today's exciting news!

First of all, I'm so unbelievably excited for you! Congratulations again :D I'm sorry about your cat mocha though, it's so sad to lose a pet. {hugs}

Rainbow - eek! So how many days before O do you think you DTD?

rainbowflower
September 21st, 2011, 03:32 PM
zana - looks like 4, but it was by accident (i.e. wasn't expecting to OV until much later this cycle so thought we were "safe". CD28 and CD31 were my last OV dates).

I can't post in the daily diet thread either btw - there is no reply box/button... and the symbol has a padlock on it in the thread list.

XXdreaming
September 21st, 2011, 04:55 PM
I don't know lol I don't remember cramps at all so this month is new but maybe I am looking for symptoms :/ I don't normally get cramps at all even around af, I am never warned with cramps, my periods have always been easy and crampless so I guess cramping is a good sign since I only cramp with pregnant, idk I think it might be all in my head lmao

Mochagirl
September 21st, 2011, 05:11 PM
Cramps could definitely be a good sign, xx!

September 22nd, 2011, 03:02 AM
hmm my temp has shot right down this morning (lowest all cycle) so my chart looks rather odd now... .no idea if I've ov'ed or not now.

swish - if I had, which looks unlikely now, it would be mixed feelings as we wanted to save some money before TTC again, and also I do believe diet is the key and I've only been doing it for 3 weeks and we hadn't used rephresh or anything!

rainbowflower
September 22nd, 2011, 03:03 AM
XX - hope you have a BFP this cycle too! although then it will be rather quiet in here as everyone will be leaving lol

I'm not planning on leaving this thread. I need to know what's going on with all you ladies and I want to be the first one to know when you get your BFPs!!

zanacal

Me neither!

swish
September 22nd, 2011, 08:26 AM
Ah, that is very comforting, the thought of people dropping off one by one is soooo depressing!! Just to add I am however delighted for each and every one who gets their bfp!!!

XXdreaming
September 22nd, 2011, 08:36 AM
I really don't think I am, another bfn this morning, I think I won't test again unless I make it past Friday but it would be so unlike me to get a late reading on a test, so as soon as af shows I will be mia for awhile, will check in though to see how y'all ladies are doing, will be back before dec to start ttcing again but I want and need to take a break, I guess I wasn't ready to ttc again after m/c or was prepared for a bfn lol

Sorry XX.
Good to know you´re staying around zanacal and mocha!
mocha what did you drop this month, besides eating a little more?

Mochagirl
September 22nd, 2011, 12:27 PM
I dropped Rephresh and we didn't do a strict frequent BD. We had already dropped Sylk the month before, so we also didn't use that.

September 22nd, 2011, 12:31 PM

rainbowflower
September 23rd, 2011, 08:31 AM
positive OPK today... lets see when I ov and hope my LP has increased! we might (maybe!) start TTC next cycle... so excited about that :D

all these BFPs are just making me even more broody, it's so tempting to try for an o+12 this cycle just as a long shot lol, but I'm not sure how sensible that would be. I've only been back at work 2 weeks and would quite like another month of a higher salary!

need a little grumble - my DS is poorly (he is STILL napping - normally only has 30-40 mins in the morning, he's been out for 1.5hrs so far), my DH is snoring on the sofa lol, and I have tummy ache!

I am still here too. Although still nothing going on. CD66! I have a terrible sore throat. Not sure if it is from the aspartame or if I caught ODS cold. I'm wondering if I O now if my egg will even be healthy? I am making an appointment with the doc soon. Was trying to wait it out but this is ridiculous! I have wasted so much money on supplements and opks this cycle. I just want it to end. But I will only continue ttc until mid-Nov. I was on the diet over the xmas holidays when ttc last time and it sucked! I probably cheated too much which is why I had ds2 (although he was conceived 4 weeks after xmas so shouldn't have really affected the diet). Anyways, I don't want to torture myself through the holidays like that again. Then I wouldn't ttc in Jan since ds2 was conceived then and I wouldn't want the same bday month. I don't want to ttc in Feb or March because Nov/Dec birthdays would be crazy...we have 3 immediate family bdays in Nov already and I really don't want a xmas baby. Then I would skip April too because Jan is too close to xmas (I know...I'm getting picky). So we wouldn't start ttc again until next May!!! That seems crazy to me. I really thought I would've had at least 3 or 4 attempts in before I got to the holidays. And I haven't even had 1 yet! So sad.

is it bad that I'm hoping we'll be lucky first month...? honestly I don't know how long I'll be able to stay on this diet. At some point in the next couple of months (or weeks) I'll become underweight and I'm also hoping that either weight loss will stabilise or that it won't affect my fertility

thing is, we have never conceived first month - it's been 2nd cycle (within 3 months) both times

noone knows if gaining then losing repeatedly is a bad thing if you conceive in the losing cycles, right..?
I really don't feel that comfortable putting my body through all this, but I'm not actually struggling on the diet

swish
September 28th, 2011, 08:10 AM
Hi rainbow, that's not bad at all, I think we'd all like to get a bfp on the first attempt in an ideal world!! I felt really uncomfortable about what I was doing to my body but now I've altered things to be more in atomic's guidelines I feel ok about it. Also for the first 6 weeks I found the diet easy too but after that it got much harder, I think it's the failed attempts that disheartened me and made me wonder how long I'd be denying myself!!! I think I've struck a balance now and made it work for me the best I can, I know my diet is not the best for girl swaying but I am happy with sustaining it a bit longer if I have to which I wouldn't have said back in July!!

maybeoneday
September 28th, 2011, 05:12 PM
I am a bit torn in hoping for a BFP on the first month. I really want to be pregnant and only want 2 school years between DS and the next baby so need to get preggers by December but want to have lowered my fertility sufficiently to get a girl. I fell first month of trying with both boys so I guess I am kind of expecting it as well. Time will tell..... x

zanacal
September 28th, 2011, 05:17 PM
That's how I felt maybeoneday - at least it keeps my expectations of having a boy in check!

Mochagirl
September 28th, 2011, 05:27 PM
maybeoneday - there's no way to win. Either you get pregnant your first try and worry you didn't reduce your fertility enough, or it takes months and you end up dropping parts of your sway out of desperation and feeling crappy about it later (like me). Personally, I think you're better off getting pregnant your first month when you have all parts of your sway on track.

rainbowflower
September 29th, 2011, 03:11 AM
Ideally I'd like to conceive in December too but realistically I know I won't be able to stay on this diet that long without needing a break.

rainbowflower
September 29th, 2011, 03:29 PM
I wonder if the vitex will have helped my LP this cycle or have been cancelled out by the extreme BF I've done the last few days. If it's as long as it was last cycle (6 days) I'll be due on on Saturday. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can it be nearer 10 days this cycle - I'd be so happy with that and all set to TTC next month! :D

how is everyone else getting on? where is everyone in their cycles?

maybeoneday
September 29th, 2011, 03:54 PM
I am on CD6 and usuallly get an +opk between day 13 and 15 depending on cycle length. I only have an 11 (ish) day luteal phase but have no idea what is was with my boys as wasn't charting. I had thought I would DTD on CD12 regardless of +OPK but I think I might just wait until I get a smiley face then DTD once and once only! Getting a bit nervous to be honest. Hope I have done enough.....

Rainbow, FX for your luteal phase. x

Well finally called the doc and she is prescribing provera. And unexpectedly also prescribing clomid!!! Excited about the clomid and kicking myself for not calling sooner. Cd71 now so wasted a lot of time. Hope this works!

Indira
September 30th, 2011, 03:31 PM
That is good news Chicky! Hope you can have an attempt soon now. Clomid sways pink too, doesn´t it?
I´m on Cd 9 today, I think I will O within a week now, last cycles it was on Cd 20, Cd 18 and Cd 15.
I hope taking B6 won´t delay it too much.
Really hoping to catch that egg this month, I´m thinking of getting off the diet if I don´t-but that´s what I tell myself every month to keep myself going! I´m starting to miss my nutrients, getting colds and migraines all the time.
Is Ds doing better now, rainbow?
Maybeoneday, seems like we might attempt around the same time, exciting!
Last 2 months TTC was more like a duty for us, but now we´re back in the right mood, yay!

just popping in quickly - I'm in Cornwall with my family right now and so glad to be "home"! Still no AF so LP is at least 1 day longer. Not too well myself, I have conjunctivitis and possibly a cold as well. Can't get warm, achy, dizzy, constantly tingly hands, etc. DS seems better so that's something!

Indi - fingers crossed B6 doesn't delay anything... and that you will become more regular. Sending you pink baby dust.

Chicky - good luck for the clomid!

MOD - I think once is often enough :)

Hi Indira - good luck this month, so glad you're back in the mood again :D

Have a great time and feel better soon rainbow x

My sister just found out she's pregnant today! She stopped taking her pill and has been testing every day for ovulation for like a month and 2 weeks ago she started taking Vitex (on my advice!) to bring her cycles back. She still hadn't had a positive OPK and, on a whim, took an HPT which was positive! The digi test said she's 4-5 weeks so she's likely due within a week or two of me. Of course, given that she got pregnant first cycle off BCPs and while losing weight (she's been doing Weight Watchers) and that she already has a girl, I'm convinced I'll be getting a niece in September. It'll definitely be weird if she gets a girl and I get a boy at exactly the same time because I'll always have a little girl the same age as my DS closely involved in my life. I'm sure this is a good thing but I guess I might find it hurtful in the beginning.

Indira
October 2nd, 2011, 02:56 PM
Oh z, I completely understand how hard that would be if she would get a girl and you wouldn´t.
But fortunately that is not going to happen ;)

rainbow have a good time ´at home´! Hope you´ll feel better soon.

maybeoneday
October 2nd, 2011, 03:42 PM
Hi Indira It does look as if we will be attempting about the same time. I think I will get a +OPK on Thursday or Friday if having a usual cycle! Are you planning on DTD when you have a +OPK or are you going for cutoff or O+12?

Z, try not to worry, your sway was amazing and you both might end up with girls who will become the best of friends. I have everything crossed for you! x

Indira
October 2nd, 2011, 04:13 PM
maybe, I would like to DTD as close to O as I can, so if I can DH to stay away from me until then :) I would say at +OPK or the day after that usually is the day I ovulate. I´m not very able to pinpoint O any way, so it is better for me to not stress about timing.
Plus I need to enhanche changes of getting pregnant, because if I don´t get pregnant in a couple of cycles I will get off the diet and I feel that would ruin my sway a lot more than DTD on O.
I have no idea really when I will O, now with B6, hopefully between Wednesday and Saturday because I´m so looking forward to having some 2 ww cheats!
