Bugger! We're 2 days away from our one attempt and my Ph is 6!!! I can't believe it! I'm on CD11 and will DTD on CD13 and should O on CD15. I used RePhresh on CD9 and thought that I'd be ok! I plan on using it again tomorrow night CD12 and will use Sylk as well but what else can I do in the next 48 hrs to get my Ph down????????????????????????????????????????

Hi - don't panic!! My pH was ok but DH's was sky high but we can only do what we can do!!
How about lots of diet coke/pepsi? I also think the Sylk will help alot - if you use it on DH it'll get in all the nooks and crannies and provide a shot of low pH right at the moment that you need it! Are you taking baby aspirin?
It may also be that you've just released a batch of EWCM and you happened to take your pH before the Rephresh had done its thing!

Thanks Z - I'm trying not to freak out! I've come this far, I just don't want to screw it up now! But as you say, all I can do is my best. I was worried the rePhresh maybe didn't last as long as I'd hoped and only lowered my PH for a day or so. So I used it last night (CD11) and will use half a syringe on the morning of CD13 before we DTD that night. And will sylk too, I'm hoping that should be fine. I'll have an extra diet coke each day just for good measure!

Sassy ~ I tested my ph a day or so ago... I don't regularly check it... mine was 6 too! I am not using rephresh or sylk since I am on clomid... but I would if I could. I have added a little bit more diet coke to my daily intake. :) :) We are doing the best that we can!! :) Good luck! I am thinking about you!! :) :)

Thanks Atomic! Now I must endure the dreaded 2WW! Should I be staying on the LE diet for most of this time....all of this time?

You can relax ever-so slightly but it's best to stay on it as much as you can.

Thanks Z and Atomic. But I kind of don't get it....if conception has already taken place as in sperm has met egg, then surely gender has already been determined? I'm not good at understanding the studies (try as I might!) so are we saying that if a girl embryo has been made then it would prefer a low blood sugar environment with which to implant? Sorry, I'm so naive!

Yes, that's exactly right. XX eggs suck up a lot more glucose than XY do (and of anything in swaying, this is proven 100% because researchers have actually witnessed this and can use it to tell fertilized eggs apart) and XX seem to develop better (divide faster and grow quicker) in a lower glucose environment because of this. Too much glucose may mean that XX sucks up too much glucose and does not develop properly. Once the baby has implanted, it begins to get nutrients from you rather than sucking them up from the environment and you don't have to stay on the diet any more. 10-14 days.
Please note, we're not trying to "weed out" genders we don't want after conception by lowering our blood sugar levels. IN fact, it's probable that a strong healthy bean of either gender can develop perfectly normally in a wide array of environments. It's just that it makes no sense to try everything to conceive a baby of a particular gender and then not provide the optimal environment for that baby to grow and implant. There was a disproportionate number of chemicals amongst pink swayers on IG (even though certain parties disagree on that, several people noticed the same thing independently) and I believe the blood glucose stuff is one possible explanation as to why.

Aha! That does make sense to me. Thanks Atomic....I've only got another 10 days of no breakfast or morning tea then.....cos I'm crossing everything that I'll get my BFP!!!!
