Got the progesterone retest results. 9 DPO and they were only 2.94, They were 9.37 at 4 dpo. Guess I will see what the RE says tomorrow.
Looking forward to ur update.
I think my progesterone is low also
I decided to quick obsessing about this pregnancy if I miscarry then most likely I did have a polyp and hopefully doc can remove it this month so I can try again next month. I'm so mad!

tfahn & Princess, I'm sorry about the low P. I don't think 15 is too low a beta, Princess. It has to start somewhere and you're still progressing.
I think I have too many symptoms to be pregnant.

Momamia I just looked at your chart! Your temps are looking good!
Maiden I just tried to use the chart link you posted the other day and it still only showing up to 7dpo?
Edited: never mind maiden I see its up to date for some reason I thought you were at least 8dpo lol

I am having a lot of cramping. I know that I'm out. I should start spotting tomorrow. I think my temps are only high because of the clomid. Thanks for thinking positive for me though. :)

Princess - keeping my fx for you & hoping for some good results from your next lot of bloods. I have never had blood drawn early to check hcg levels so don't know what a normal level would be sorry.
Chart is looking good momamia, really wish it could be your month. Same with you maiden. Charts can be so deceiving in the tww as I have found out. They can look so good, then all of a sudden temp drops & AF comes. I have told myself I am not studying my chart during tww this cycle, it just gets your hopes up for nothing.
Not much going on for me, just waiting to o. Only CD 8 today so o will probably be at least a week away yet. DH still wants to stick with shettles as much as possible & isn't interested in bd unprotected until I get a +opk. I don't want to push the subject as if we end up with another girl then he can't say to me that we should have done it his way & waited till I was closer to o.

I have learned the same thing. I have also been keeping better notes on my symptoms each tww. That's how I know my current cramps are exactly the same as last cycle.

Mine was 6 at 11dpo and my dr said that is in line with early pregnancy

I just start bleeding red :( not spotting just bleeding, I'm so sad.
I really think doc should of advised me not to try this month since she thought o might have a polyp, I been reading about so many ladies having early or late m/c because of not having them removed before becoming pregnant.
Guess it's better early than later on, hopefully my doc can remove them this month, so I can try again.
This sucks! I been eating meat for 4 days :( now back to LE diet I hate it.

Without temping its only a guess as to what cd you oed and that could be anywhere from 12-48 hours'ish from first pos opk. Don't worry about timing at all, it doesn't sway :) people conceive pink day of o. Were you swaying as in le diet, exercise or anything?

You always have a chance at pink with or without swaying but cut off/timing has been debunked (I'm assuming your referring to shettles?). There are people all over the world that believe in it though and everyone is entitled to believe what they like so don't feel as though I'm right your wrong type of thing as I am only relaying what I believe if that makes sense. I really hope you get your bfp and its a pink one :)

And I know I'll get what I'm given I'd just dearly love a little girl after 3 boys! I've dreamed of a wee girl since I was a child and can't fathom not having one without having too many children lol
All my pregnancies have been surprises too as I fear I'd have gender disappointment and not enjoy the 2nd half of it.
Where as when they are handed to you, you just absolutely love them no matter what and how cool to find out its a girl

Oh Princess . I'm sorry.
tfahn, sorry about your temp drop too.
Farmgirl and Momamia, I feel the same way about temps etc. Mine stay high until after AF usually so very misleading. My symptoms are the same as last month, with lots of ovarian/uterine twinges and sore nips/tender breasts. I also think it is basically impossible to conceive from O day BD based on looking at over 1000 FF charts. I'm sure I can't be pregnant. Even though I know it doesn't work that way, I feel my bad luck is dragging everyone else down.

I have a feeling AF will show today, feeling crampy, which would only make my LP 9 days this cycle unless FF is wrong and I O'd a day earlier. I think I am going to relent and take the progesterone pills if they want me to take them next cycle, I have been at this a year and clearly what I am doing is not working.

Very funny Momamia! To clarify my post, I don't think I'm figuratively dragging people down (I really hope not at least!), I think I'm literally a bad luck albatross (even though I believe my donor, not me, is to blame). Weeee irrational magical thinking. Though a tiny part of me thinks maybe it's just not that easy to conceive from one attempt...even though I did 5 times before,
tfahn, how much Clomid were you on this month? How old are you? Maybe you'd do better on Femara? I hope AF stays away so you at least have a good LP length. And it can't hurt to take P, at the very least.

Maiden, I was on 50MG of clomid this month; I am 39 so I know that doesn't help in TTC but I have been at it a year. I am waiting on a call from the RE's office to see what they have to say. Figured if they want my to take the progesterone there really is no harm, and they are fertility specialists so I might as well let them do there job. :)

March 10th, 2016, 11:17 AM
Sorry Momamia. This TTC business really sucks sometimes. Will you do another round of Clomid if you get a BFN this month?
I have thoughts of throwing in the towel sometimes. But then I see people posting pics of their babies on the cloth diaper boards I follow on facebook and think I want that again. I had no experience with babies before having our DD 2 years ago so a lot of it was learn as you go. So now I would like the opportunity to go through it again and really savor it. Hopefully we all get our babies soon. :)

I wonder if doc will give me clomid, guessing not since I have no issue getting pregnant. Just hoping polyp maybe will come out with miscarriage, if not then remove it. Right now I could of been happy :(
Hopefully soon we all will be happy and pregnant.
I was thinking to add in excerise again since its been nice outside, just to take my mind off everything going for a walk everyday.
I been taking prenatals since Saturday and not sure if I should just continue to do so or not. Been on LE diet for 14 weeks!

tfahn, I think the you should really try Femara then. Clomid isn't great for women over 37.I think you also need a higher dose, maybe would have done better on 100mg Clomid.
Momamia, I'm sorry about the spotting and cramping, combined with temp drop. Have you spotted/cramped when pregnant before, not including chemicals?
Princess, I'd definitely stop the prenatals as they seem to sway blue quite strongly.
tfahn
March 10th, 2016, 11:50 AM
I'm hoping the doctor atleast ups the dosage of Clomid this month if/when I start a new cycle since clearly it did not help my progesterone levels like it should.
I don't think the RE has brought up the usage of Femera before. I know it doesn't effect the lining and CM like Clomid but does it fix progesterone issues as well? It is is off market usage for fertility, not sure how I feel about that. Why do you think it is better then Clomid?
maidentomother
March 10th, 2016, 01:03 PM
The only reason Femara is off-label is bc it's fairly new and there hasn't been a push yet to get it marketed for fertility use. It is superior to Clomid in every nearly every way (except for the low incidence of multiples, which for some is a pro of Clomid). It is safer both for mother and bsby, has fewer side effects, mimics natural hormonal effects better (Clomid lasts much too long, very unlike our sex hormones), has a lower incidence of OHSS, doesn't thin the lining or cause cysts, and is at least as good at stimulating high P production and overall, the development of a good quality egg. In older women, it may be more effective at raising P. Clomid is a great drug, but Femara is amazing!

I'm done ttc naturally after this cycle. I'll save to do HT and if that doesn't work, DH said he'd be open to adoption. I think it's incredible how much he wants to have another baby. It's one of the reasons I feel so horrible that I can't get pregnant.
Maiden, I have spotted in the past while pregnant. I just am not feeling pregnant at all.
I think I got the norovirus from my sister and it is making me feel horrible (severe nausea mainly). I've been trying not to throw up but I don't know how long I can keep that up. Just thinking about food makes me want to vomit. It's really bad. I took a vofran already as I have hyperemesis every time I get a stomach bug and wind up in the hospital with severe dehydration. I'm not looking forward to the next few days. :(

Momamia, I've got my fingers crossed this is the month you get your BFP but if not, then I wish you all the best for HT. Hopefully that will result a sticky pink bean for you. :) That's so sweet your DH is so determined to have another baby. Adoption is such a wonderful gift to a child! DH expressed to me recently how badly he wants to have a daughter and that if we have a third boy, he's willing to adopt for our fourth. It would take time to save up for that though if we went the private route. I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. The norovirus is horrible to get, my boys and I got it last year. I hope you feel better soon. :)

Thanks momamia. My cm has always corresponded with a temp rise in the past however the last few cycles have been questionable temp wise. I started experiencing a fall back rise about 4 or so cycles ago. Last cycle it looks as though I didn't o until 2 days after peak opk however I remember being sure I'd oed the day after despite getting a temp dip. Now I'm wondering if ff was right and I had a delayed rise? I put my temp in from cd13 but still discarded as it was super high and I'd had a bottle of wine the afternoon/night before and blamed the alcohol for the temp spike. Wondering now if I did o and my last two days temps are a fall back rise?. If I put the temp in it actually looks similar to my bfp cycle in dec. I'll screenshoot both.3025730258

Hi ladies. I think I'm in the 2WW wait. This is the first time we have tried to conceive since my miscarriage last year in August so I'm partly excited and mostly terrified. I'm on CD 18 today and think I Oed yesterday as this morning OPK was back to negative and my BBT has risen well above coverline. I had pos OPKs on CD 16 and 17 and DH and I BD once on the night of CD16. We'd last BDed on CD 12. I am trying to remain calm and relaxed and to just forget about it a bit. I'm I my early 40s you see, so I don't want to get excited and then disappointed if I experience another miscarriage. Anyway, good luck to us all in this 2ww. :)

Pbn3, I agree it does seem you often have fallback rises. I'd go by your Peak in your case.
Pinkin, I had a very heavy, very painful AF after Clomid last cycle. My worst AF in several years. I hope you feel better soon.
Princess, good luck tomorrow. I hope your DD recovers well. What kind of surgery did she have?
essnce, my DH was anti-kids so I share your sentiments! It really bugs me when men aren't into reproducing.
I had a big temp drop today, though I did wake up very early due to my cats, and temped over an hour early after reading in bed. Still feel super hot though.

Thanks maiden. I'm just so confused this cycle as it was by far the least stressful in lead up to o and that peak reading I got was from 2.30pm which would mean I oed less than 15 hours later?? My cm was still fertile on cd13 but had started turning morning of cd14. I could've sworn I oed cd13/early hours cd14 but the temps just dont agree lol. Would love to go back to the good ol days when I'd get a spike, no fallback rise and cm to match temps hahaha! If wishes were wings!

Pbn3, I also should have added that your CD14 temp is very likely too high due to alcohol. I think you probably Oed CD14 and are having a slow rise. It's not impossible that you haven't Oed yet though. I know how frustrating it is when things don't line up.
Yes Ive been fooled by every one of my symptoms. I'll definitely wait until 13dpo considering todays temp drop.

11 DPO and a BFN on a FRER this morning; still lower temps this morning but AF never showed yesterday like I thought due to the cramps I was having. We will see what today brings but I am happy that my LP will be atleast 10 days this cycle so that makes me feel a little better about my progesterone issues.

I'm lovin your chart Maiden! I'm hoping AF stays away for you!
My PPP came back at 6mo with DS1 and at 8 weeks with DS2!! Apparently I'm pretty fertile! I ovulated from both sides this month. I had a pelvic US because I was having horrid back pain. We saw it on the US! My LP is a nice 14 days, which falls within my usual 12-15 day norm. I hope this isn't my new norm because I had horrid O pain on both sides!
Good news my kidney function came back normal with 3 values being 1 point away from being elevated. They are going to recheck again in 6mo. Hopefully my D levels will stay normal. If not, then that will tell us something since I'm on 50,000 IU of a bio-available form. I'm hoping I just had one helluva UTI from low D levels that got depleted while being pregnant.
I'm kinda scared to TTC or sabotage our condoms (haha!!), since it was confirmed I released two eggs! I hope it's just a fluke and not because I'm older BFing mom!

I just had another blood drawn and nurse said doc would want to wait another cycle now to do saline ultrasound! Why!! What in the world!! I need to know if there is a damn polyp or not!
I also read If you get pregnant with a small polyp or fibroid it shouldn't effect pregnancy. So doc said she doesn't know what cause it, I am under weight.
I am taking zinc and iron start only a few weeks ago. I hardly eat any fruits or veggies my protein is low.
So I think I will follow maybe pcos LE diet I don't have pcos but just want to be more healthy either that or just do no meat with prenatal.
Then I get a phone call from hospital to schedule the ultrasound that doc ordered? I'm so confused so I made appt for next week. Maybe scheduler didn't know I got pregnant and had a miscarriage? An iltrasound won't hurt though so hopefully it doesn't get canceled and I will go to it instead of waiting a cycle

I'm not sure what to think about my cycle. I haven't started spotting yet like I expected but my hpts are super negative. I am crazy hormonal and having cramping. Maybe my progesterone is higher this cycle because of the clomid and that's why I'm not spotting yet? I'm 12dpo today and only had a tiny temp drop from yesterday - still high above coverline.

I am with you Momamia with guessing about what is up this cycle, I think the Clomid is making us have crazy LP's.
I am 11DPO, my normal LP is 12, Still no AF but I have been cramping for 2 days which I normally never get so that is why I was expecting it. I have 2 at near Coverline temps but if I go back to my chart where I thought I had AF but was actually pregnant my temps now are in the same range so I don't know what to think either. I wish I could say, oh I have low temps I'm out but I now know that isn't true; I just have low P I think.
RE finally called today and said with that low P number the other day I should get AF any day now. I am going in on Monday for my cyst check and to get another script for Clomid. If no AF tomorrow morning I will take another FRER.

Anything that has extra nutrients or increases health, seems to sway boy. Most girl swayers these day are only taking folate/folic acid daily as that is needed for any healthy pregnancy. Most of us take fiber supplements daily as well as they seem to absorb fat and sway girl. That's about it. DH can take olive leaf extract as that seems to sway girl as well.
Most have dropped all other supplements as they seem to sway boy from the added nutrients. Aspirin is no longer recommended unless you have a confirmed MTHFR mutation (I do so I take it 3 times a week).
So no b vitamins, fish oil, cranberry, or probiotics for girl swayers.

Wow XX an egg from each side! I think it probably is a one off from it being your first cycle PP.
Momsmia, I do think the 100mg of Clomid is probably what's preventing spotting...and/or remember you may have Oed 2 days later. You could definitely still be pregnant.
Pbn3, I had a cycle, in March 2014 actually (you can see it if you care) in which I gave up bc I thought I would never O. It was my first full cycle taking Vitex and my O was very delayed. I really regret giving up though, bc I Oed a few days later and didn't have well timed BD.

The only thing I can think of I did this cycle that I haven't in others is take an antihistamine cd7. I had a really bad itchy leg episode and while I usually ride it out it was worse than I can remember in a long time so I took a single pill to try and help. I don't see how this could have affected ovulation so early in my cycle and it certainly didn't affect my fertile cm, I had more this cycle than I have in a long time. Racking my brain for answers and coming up short lol. I've never geared up to o and not, my cycles are very regular and predictable. Beginning to wonder if its not a progesterone problem though again I haven't had issues in the past that I know of. In any case its a mystery and I'll just wait and see what happens now temp wise. May go for bw cd21 if temps are still low. Thanks for your input ladies :)

Hiya,
I'm on CD17 today! Been doing e4d, so we dtd on CD10 and CD 14, next attempt is cd18.
Not doing opk tests this month, trying to keep it stress free and hope that I will have an attempt during a good fertile day :)
On Thursday night (CD15) and through the night while I was in bed, I was aware of really strong crampy feelings and a bit of back pain. I assumed that I must be ovulating. Had had other symptoms through the day also to make me think that.
Today however, I have been feeling very light crampy feelings??! Just a general awareness of slight discomfort if that makes sense lol!! So maybe I am actually ovulating today??? Who knows what on earth is going on in there, would love to see a little screen that shows a clear view of it all haha!!
Will stick with the e4d and have another attempt tomorrow :) guessing that if it doesn't work out this month, I will be ordering in some opks!! X

Princessmom I agree that exercise is a great way to combat the blues. Hope you are feeling better soon. Has your doc explained why he wants to wait a month to do u/s?
Afm - bit of a stuff up temping this morning lol. I turned the ac on at 11pm last night as was having trouble sleeping heat wise. Woke at 3am and took temp, turned off ac (without getting out of bed) then fell back asleep past my usual waking time and temped again at 6.15am. There was a huge difference so I've kept the 3am temp of 36.56 as my 6.15am temp was 36.73. My usual temp time is between 5.15 to 5.45am. Do you other ladies that chart agree to keep the 3am temp? Afm- temps finally in post o range! Maiden I think you may be right about cd16 o day which is very disappointing for me. Our bd on Wednesday was at 1.00pm but I did insert preseed so hoping that maybe some swimmers survived. Caught myself open mouth breathing early hours of this morning which has me wondering if that could explain my low temps after first spike too? I expected a fallback rise but not three days of it. And if a fallback rise has become my new common shouldn't I have had a dip this morning? Lol will be an interesting cycle to say the least. I plan on testing Sunday as if first spike just happens to be right I'll be 12dpo and af due Monday morning. If she doesn't come then I'll test again Thursday as that will make me 12dpo if I oed cd16. I have a 12 day lp so in the end I think that's going to be what really confirms o day.

Pbn - hoping some swimmers made it. It has been a bit of a strange cycle for you temp wise.
Cd12 for me today. Will start opks today as I had some ewcm yesterday but wasn't home to take an opk. I can get many days of watery or ewcm prior to o so don't think I will o till towards the end of the week. Thinking of giving preseed a miss this time. I normally have plenty of cm but have been using it as I read it may slightly sway boy.

Pbn3, just bc you've had fallback cycles some or even most cycles, I wouldn't expect them every time. They're fairly common for me but by no means regular.
1moregirl, I hope your symptoms are a good sign!
I've been having very mild AF lower back cramps on and off all day, such a tease! Also, a lot of extra CM since yesterday. I get a little gush and think AF has arrived! My sore nipples went away completely (as happens a few days before AF in the cycles I have them), but my breasts are still mildly tender. Come on body, don't fool me, just give it to me straight!

Yeah I know maiden its just one of those horrid guessing game cycles for me but what will be will be....
The extra cm sounds promising! I say this as on my bfp cycle I had the same only I didn't literally have gushes of cm. It felt at various times during the day like I was wet down there and I was sure af had come but there was nothing. Had alot internally though. (I knew by this stage I was pregnant as got first pos hpt at 9dpo so really freaked me out when it happened, I would think every time - this is it I'm going to see blood)
Farmgirl is there a reason you want to ditch the preseed?

They're pretty small gushes, but ive definitely noticed little puddles in my panties a few times today. Most cycles my CM before AF is either minimal or close to watery/EWCM if not outright mixed with some fertile CM or sometimes I spot lightly. This is just very creamy CM but more like the amount I have leading up to O before my CM turns fertile. I do have excess creamy CM in early pregnancy. BUT I think it could be due to my taking Clomid last cycle as I had tons of fertile CM this cycle and more creamy CM after O than usual, too. Like a backlash effect from being so dry on Clomid.

FWIW, this always happens to me when I'm pregnant. It's usually a little clue before a positive HPT. FX and TX!!!

Keeping fx for you maiden that this is a good sign.
Pbn - just thinking that maybe since I usually have plenty of cm I don't need preseed & that maybe it's not helping me conceive. I never used it or any type of lube before ttc in the past. Actually the only time i have ever needed lube has been while breastfeeding otherwise I normally have enough cm. Not really sure what to do.

AF showed yesterday :(
I am disappointed as I hoped a bfp would solve my dilemma for this month......my OB is wanting me to start femara this cycle but the only reason I started clomid was firstly, to up my chances of multiples and secondly, sway girl. I know femara is a great girl sway but I am wondering if I should just ttc this month without it? I have read about women not getting pregnant on clomid and then the month after they get a bfp as the clomid is still in their system? I'm not sure if the clomid would still be effective for swaying multiples though? Or maybe because the clomid is still in my system it would still up my chance of multiples regardless of the femara? Any thoughts on this? Sorry if I am not clear; I realize I am rambling a bit!
I've missed a lot since I was last on, so excuse me as I still have to go back and catch up :)

Well ladies I'm back, per say. I've been hanging around staying caught up on everyone everyday since my d&c in January. Got my first AF since procedure 38 days after but the week leading up to it I had the worse intense pain I had ever had, worse than childbirth, miscarrying, and d&c combined. I was in bed 3 days out of the 7 because it hurt to move. Things got better and I got +opk Friday night and Saturday morning. Crossing my fingers this month is it. If not then I'll start temping again next cycle. Been emotional ride for DH and I. He realized how much he did really want another baby. My sister had her baby girl 2 weeks ago, SIL will have her baby girl next month, and 2 cousins will have their babies the month after that. It's emotionally draining because I want to be pregnant and bring our last wee one into the world. Preferably lil girl but I'll be happy either way right now.

Wow lildudesez!! Congratulations and hope you hear pink!
Farmgirl if you're unsure what to do why not alternate bd's with and without preseed? You're swaying boy right? Should be multiple chances do attempt with and without?
Honeybug sorry af arrived :( hope you get a bfp this cycle! The clomid should stay in your system about 6 weeks I think? Not sure about whether it significantly decreases odds of multiples or not. Maiden knows alot about clomid,I'm sure she'll advise her thoughts when she sees your post.
Signingmommy welcome back! Fx you get your rainbow baby this cycle!
So my docs office rang and said doc wanted to see me??? I had already rung a couple days after bw was done and the message was 'no further action' which meant everything was fine and she didn't need to see me. Wondering if one of the results wasn't in at the time. Bit of a mystery so I've booked in to see her on Thursday which is also cd21 - may get prog bw done again. Would love to get in earlier but she's away for two days :(

Anyone know if it's common to get a bit 'wet' below at 5 DPO? Sooo funny how we can forget these things. I'm sure I'm usually dry as a bone between PostO and AF. I have also been feeling quite cranky but I know that can be before AF anyway.

Very common, there is often a secondary estrogen surge around then.

Farmgirl, natural CM is far superior to PreSeed or anything similar so if you have plenty of fertile CM I definitely wouldn't use anything. It could indeed lower your chances of conception and blue.
Honeybug, I'm sorry. Clomid stays in your system about 6w so it's worth not taking anything next cycle. You will still have an increased chance of multiples relative to a natural cycle or Femara, but not quite as high as the cycle actually on Clomid. Taking Femara this cycle wouldn't counteract your odds of multiples, that lingering effect of Clomid would remain unchanged. You'd just have stronger, possibly earlier O and possibly improved egg quality - plus higher odds of pink. So if you will have unlimited Femara for future cycles I'd definitely take it this cycle. If however your dr will only give you a few cycles worth, I'd wait until next cycle to take it, in order to get the most out of the meds. I hope that made sense.
Signing, I'm sorry about the hard time you've been having, both physically and emotionally. But I'm thrilled to see you back here TTC and I so hope you caught the egg.
I'm definitely out; the cats woke me before the crack of dawn, AGAIN, and so I temped earlier than usual but there is no denying my huge temp drop. I'm expecting AF to arrive within a couple hours, likely before my usual temping time. At least I got a few hours warning this month. I think I will do both Clomid and a couple days of low dose FSH (Gonal-F) injections in hopes of getting more eggs from my left, lazy ovary. Hopefully I can get my HSG booked for April before O, to determine if my right tube was damaged by my ectopic 4 years ago.

Does anyone else feel the way I do? I sometimes feel like I'm punishing myself staying active in these forums, the people I started with are now starting to deliver their babies and yet here I am still ttc and I can't help but think I'm going to get bad news tomorrow which is only amplifying my sadness. I am genuinely happy for every bfp that is posted and recieved the same warmth and happiness when I finally got mine, then sympathy and shared sadness when I lost it. I love being a part of this forum, the support is absolutely amazing and like nothing I could get or ask for IRL. I also love supporting everyone old and new in theirs and am a little guilty of feeling especially happy when I see a bfp from someone who has struggled or endured a loss in their journey. I am also very very happy and somewhat envious I'll admit for those who fall pregnant in one or two cycles - but we all want our baby so badly and to see a bfp from anyone regardless of how long they've been ttc is a godsend and offers the hope that maybe it will be my turn next. I'm letting all this out as I don't know how I'm going to cope tomorrow if/when I'm told my eggs quantity/quality are shit - pardon the french please - and I have no idea where to go from there. I'm trying so hard to think the worst so I don't burst into tears before my doc even opens her mouth but I feel so alone right now :( poor dh is being wonderful and has even said 'we could maybe look at seeing a FS but we'd have to investigate costs/time factor etc' I feel bad because he's only doing this for me and I think he only said that because I'm so upset. Anyway sorry for the spill, again its what I said I love about this site so I don't think I could leave here even if I thought I wanted to lol

Maiden - I'm sooo bummed for you as well. I really thought it was going to happen for you this cycle, but I hope it will be next cycle. Xx
Pbn3 - I hope your news tomorrow isn't too bad Hun. I have heard of women with low AMH readings still getting pregnant with sticky babies my dear so don't go giving up hope just yet. My own reading was only 6.5 and normal is around 14 I think (althgh 14 would be for more youthful ladies). Whereabts in Australia are you? I'm in Melbourne. Sometimes I feel guilty for wanting one last baby sooo badly, espeically when I had my Mum here yesterday telling me how I could easily have died during my last miscarriage. Comments like that make me feel as though I am being guilty and selfish for wanting one last one. Does that even make sense? Anyway, I'm fully prepared this time so that if I do lose this one as well I won't be trying again since I've already been blessed with 3 beautiful and healthy children. I even had cold feet prior to the attempt and nearly completely backed out of it altogether as sometimes the thought of being pregnant and worried about miscarrying scares the hell out of me.
Anyway, good luck to those of you still in the 2WW and to those of you for whom AF has arrived, I pray and hope that next month will be your lucky BFP one. Tomorrow I'll be 6DPO so will be interesting to see what BBT I will get. I'm trying to stay busy and forget about it but it's soooo hard not to get a bit excited about a BFP.

It's definitely hard. I hate that I'll be 35 in a week snd still have no kids, I'm worried bc I used to conceive so ridiculously easily/quickly but haven't had even a hint of a BFP in 4 years, so now something must really be wrong. I'm very jealous of those with children already, and other swayers who have had 1-2 children since I joined the site. But I can't stop looking at baby pics either, and I love hearing about everyone's kids. It is a strange paradox.
I wouldn't jump to assuming bad news yet, though I know how that's almost impossible. Your AMH could be fine or even great and your dr may just want to go over options with you now that another piece of the puzzle has fallen into place. Even if your AMH is low, that isn't necessarily dire. I've seen so very many ladies with low or even undetectable AMH, and often other issues like high FSH, conceive naturally. It does often take a while, but I feel I see more happy endings than not.
Pbn3, can you tell me more about your situation? How many kids, how old you were when you conceived them, how quickly you conceived them, how old you are now, how many cycles TTC while charting and sure that BD was timed well, any other health issues you or DH have? Have you had an HSG and has DH had a SA? Can you share your exact hormone tesr results? I don't know that I'll be able to offer anything useful, but maybe others will have insights if I don't.
You are not alone, that's for sure. There are msny of us who feel similarly. I've been depressed since my loss 4 years ago and my depression is only getting worse due to my continued failure TTC and my worsening chronic pain/spinal condition (which pregnancy would help more than any treatment, ironically). It's awful and unfair having a biological deadline on fertility. Men have NO clue how fortunate they are.

Hi everyone hope you can help me out again :) ive had two failed ivf transfers the most recent in feb. Period arrived 2nd 3rd March so I decided to try natural sway. Not given myself much time tho. I bought a testing kit on thursday and started trying it out on Friday 9/10 days into my cycle said low fertility and I took my temp in am and it was 38.6, I missed sat but temp was 36.7 and Sunday am it was 36.8. When I tested sunday am I was 36.8 and highly fertile apparently :/ very confused as fridAy was nill. Got it on late last night on the hope that the time would be enough before I ovulate to get pink there not blue. My temp this morning was 36.9 so do you think I should leave it now and see what happens? Because it's the smiley faces one and I'm at most fertile I can't test again for 48 hours so until tomorrow very annoying! To add on to the stress I decided to have a practise run on Friday night with husband to get rid of the blue faster swimmers. Worried now incase I do get pregnant and it blue. Didn't think it would happen this month due to ivf drugs etc. can anyone shed light on this weird fertile mon fertile situation x

Thank you 1moregirl and I understand exactly how you feel questioning yourself but its a desire that just wont go away.
Thank you Maiden, my gp told me she'd only need to see me should my results fall out of the normal. With my struggle ttc, my miscarriage and now this apparent delayed o this cycle I feel I need to steel myself for whats coming iykwim. My history is met dh at a later age (married when I was 29). We spent the next five years getting ourselves prepared financially to have children (which I am regretting now, would give it all up in hindsight just to start earlier). Had my first ds1 at age 34 and had no idea about conceiving other than dtd in fertile window that internet site worked out hahaha so he took 4-5 months to conceive and we were dtd probably 5 out of the 7 day 'fertile period'. I had only just started researching and learnt about charting etc when I conceived him. Ds2 took 6 months of charting, opks, dtd every other day and extra attempt at pos opk from memory (the same tactic I reverted to recently) and I turned 36 a month after he was born. I turn 38 in June. Haven't had a hsg or anything like that. My gp told me to come back to her if I hadn't conceived after 6 months. Well cycle 8 I did but lost at 5 weeks. I had bw done prior to ttc to make sure all was good in that area however I'm not sure exactly what was tested for? I'll ask tomorrow. Dh hasn't had a SA and for some reason I struggle at the thought of asking him to. While he says he's on board one minute and we can continue and see FS if required, it still comes down to money and age. He already says he feels too old (he's 44). So I have to take his feelings into consideration too. I don't have exact hormone numbers results, the office lady would not give them to me over phone even though I pleaded a sleepless night lol. In any case I just feel like maybe I wasn't meant to bear another baby and it devastates me to think I won't. I daydream about meeting my new arrival (team green), think on names and just cannot bring myself to throw or give away any of my baby stuff. Its not like I'm not happy or satisfied with my boys, they mean the world to me and so will another boy, for me gender desire is long gone and plain simple baby desire has taken its place. I would LOVE a third son!!! Sorry for the long winded reply....
Oh thought I should add this is cycle 11 I'm currently in.

I had my cyst/ovary check today with the RE, got the all clear for another round of Clomid. He is going to up the dosage to 100mg this cycle since my estrogen and progesterone where still lower then they like to see. If they want me to do the progesterone supplements this cycle after getting my levels checked I decided I will take them. Want to give it my all this cycle and not leave anything untried.
AF is over after 2 days, they took blood this morning to do a HCG test, and then they will call in my script after it shows BFN. So CD3 for me today and I should start the Clomid this evening. This cycle is feeling very deja vu. My cycle this month started on March 12 and the cycle I got my BFP with my daughter 3 years ago started March 13, if it wasn't for leap year it would be the same. :)

PBN, I really get were you are coming from. Although my husband and I have been together 18 years, in the beginning I didn't want kids. When I hit my 30's I started thinking about wanting them but we were not in a place financially to have them so I waited and never said anything to DH. We both work Fulltime and daycare here is crazy expensive so that was the biggest cost factor, usually anywhere from 600-1000 a month. So at 36 we started trying and it only took 2 cycles off BCP to get pregnant and I had her 2 months after turning 37. For the first 6 months after her birth we TTP pregnancy and then NTNP for another 8 months. Well I just started into my 12th cycle of actively charting and trying, 2nd month on Clomid. I am now 39, DH 38 and sometimes I kick myself for starting out so late, or caring about the financial end, but better late than never.
I too have thoughts of just stopping, we have a beautiful daughter that I am very thankful for, but having another baby is something DH and I really want so not throwing in the towel just yet. Yesterday Facebook put up a pic I posted of DD 2 years ago and it melted my heart. She was only 3 months old and it confirmed that I really do want another baby. Hopefully we get our babies soon.

Ok. I'm back.
We had tried for 6 months and 5 cycles to get pregnant with our third child, when something didn't feel right to me. I made an appointment with an RE because I felt something was wrong. I know it can take a year, blah, blah, blah, but I felt something wasn't right. He ordered the standard blood work and an AFC. I was shocked when my FSH came back at 45!!! I was still BFing DS2 at the time and my prolactin came back within the normal limits. We were shocked! With FSH that high, no way should I be able to breastfeed a toddler, let alone have had my 2 boys! A level that high says I'm well into menopause! My AFC showed I had 25 follicles, which was great considering my FSH and my age, 35 at the time. My RE ordered a AMH test and a repeat FSH. It came back even higher at 46.8 and my AMH was less than 0.03!!!! But my AFC and my BBT charts said something completely different. My RE and I dug deeper and began to question the myoinositol I had been taking for non-swaying purposes. Lo and behold, we both found studies that show in normal healthy women without PCOS, high doses above 500mg daily can elevate FSH levels and cause egg quality to worsen, which is opposite of what is seen in women with PCOS. I stopped taking it.
I went on to have a miscarriage at 8 weeks. This was my 6th cycle TTCing. My other blood work showed I was slightly low in vitamin D, and I was low in zinc (goes hand in hand with my miscarriage). The RE had me take 1000IU of D three times a week, alternating with 15mg of zinc on the opposite days, and 800mg of CoQ10. He suggested I try acupuncture and keep trying. Since my AFC was great, he thought I would get pregnant soon. I wasn't a good candidate for fertility medications, because I needed my hormones to get back to normal on their own after discontinuing myoinositol.
I will never know what worked to get pregnant eventually or not, since I did many things at once. My sway looked like this:
Atomic's fertility diet with only eating less than 4 oz of meat and continuing to obstain from red meat (I was afraid of eating the recommended amounts of meat as allowed in the diet)
Exercise + Yoga
Fiber before meals
1600mcg of folate
1000IU d
15mg of zinc
800mg CoQ10
Acupuncture
Decaf coffee with Ceylon Cinnamon
Stopped alcohol after my miscarriage
BDing every 4 days unprotected
I mean I had a few blue things going on but not too much, yk? It would take me another 4 cycles and three more months to get my sticky, BFP. The month I did conceive, I couldn't get a positive opk on both Wondfo and CBD (the one with the smiley face). I didn't start testing too late either, I started on CD6 and continued through CD22. Crazy!
Hang in there sweetie! I know it sucks! Keep trying and don't give up. Don't give in to despair, because it will only bring you down. If you can, keep at it. It will happen but it may take longer.
I'll be happy to talk to more of you want to PM me.

I have a really low Amh for my age 5.6 it's is and I'm just 36. It's not impossible to get pregnant just a little bit more difficult x don't give up the fight!!! I think it's an inbuilt genetic desire, and the more difficult it is to do the harder and more you fight for it to happen. Hope everyone gets what they desire, all you can do is keep on trying and try not to let the many difficulties and let downs push you to the brink of dispair xx

Well doctor doesn't want to do saline sono this cycle since I miscarried she waiting till my next period ends so mad! But my vaginal ultrasound at the hospital is still set for this Thursday. Doctor ordered it before she knew I was pregnant, so I didn't even mention it lol I will be attending the appointment, hoping everything is good. Praying if I did have a polyp it shedding along with my miscarriage. Then I don't have to darn wait to ttc again.
I eased up on the diet, not doing strictly veggie. Giving me 2-3 of meat not large portions I hardly eat a lot of meat anyway. To begin with I have pretty much girl diet. And since my DH had to change his diet and takes cholesterol meds that is even a bonus for girl sway.
I'm still debating whether or not to continue prenatal 3x a week.
I might add in baby aspirin 3x a week so when I do get pregnant it helps

I know I have to be low in vitamins esp since I am under weight, what is difference between the LE fertility diet?
Honestly I had a son without taking prenatal vitamins.
I conceived my daughter without them either and was the most weight with conceiving her.

Big thank you to everyone for responding!!!! I'm feeling much better this morning and actually think I'll be able to hold it together at my appointment in 5 hours. You are all right, I shouldn't despair, I may just be borderline or if it's worse than that then I will research what I can do to increase my odds, improve egg quality etc. Think I'll try fertility acupuncture. IF I need to see a FS then we may go for an initial appointment to find out costs etc, providing there is one in the town I live in otherwise the nearest would be 100km away. Tfahn that is crazy about your cycle dates being that same (minus extra day for leap year) I hope this is a sign and really hope the increased dosage and prog supplements if required give you your best shot at a bfp this cycle. I'm super excited for you!
Wow xxforhubby! That is a pretty amazing story! I might see if I can find the fertility diet (I'm assuming this diet is to maximise fertility diet wise or have I got that wrong?) I'm pretty much back to eating what I was when I conceived my boys. I stopped taking fibre on atomics advice about 6 months ago. I really should try and stop drinking alcohol all together but I enjoy my wine so much so I may halve my current intake. I think I need to try and start exercising to - nothing excessive just general wellbeing amounts like half an hour a day 4 times a week or something. I've never been a big believer in vitamins (although I've been taking prenantals) but maybe I should see if there are ones you can take to improve fertility. I'd be very wary of doing this though as I'm quite the sceptic on their actual benefit lol. Bding wise is hard because of dh's shiftwork. I really wanted to do smep this cycle and if I had I would have had a much better chance with two attempts closer to my delayed o. May try for smep again this cycle and hope it works out. Hahahaha I've already gone from starting NTNP to smep and I've only just oed!!!!!
In any case I'll update after my appointment. Thank you all again you ladies are the best!!

Well I guess we won't get to TTC this cycle either. :( Nurse called back and I'm supposed to have an endometrial biopsy done later this cycle so obviously I can't risk being pregnant then. I'm so sad. Guess this means that I won't be due until at least early 2017 if I do get pregnant next cycle. I never thought we'd have to go through all of this just to have a third baby.

I don't know, she didn't say why. I was given a sheet of all the tests/procedures I'd be having and the biopsy wasn't on there so I wasn't expecting this. I did read that sometimes it's done to check progesterone levels so now I'm wondering if my progesterone came back low. I suppose the RE could also be doing the biopsy as a just in case to cover all the bases.

I'm just wondering can they not schedule if you don't get a bfp this cycle? As in do it between af and o so you at least get to keep ttc? Or at least tell you why it has to be done at this particular time? Was there something in results that make them want to do it now?

I was just reading that sometimes progesterone is normal but the biopsy is done anyway if there's concern of a thin lining. I won't really know anything until I have my consult with the RE and that's not until all my tests are done.

Xx - was your Coq10 that you took ubiquinol form? Good Lord, I've only been taking 100mg of ubiquinol - I hope that was enough. Also Hun, did you take that same dose of folic acid all the way through your pregnancy? If I get a BFP is ubiquinol the only sup I have to wean off of? I'm 6DPO today and get a bit nervous/excited whenever I think about doing my first HPT. How soon do you ladies start testing? Funny how we forget these details. People can be sooo thoughtless and tactless sometimes can't they? I have a friend who said to me the other day she was sure my last baby (the one I miscarried last year) was a girl and that I will get pregnant again with another boy. WTH? Then I had my Mother here the other day telling me how I could've died when I had that miscarriage and I really should just be content with what I have. I'm all for freedom of speech, but whatever happened to plain old tactfulness? I would never say these sorts of things to others because I think of how they are going to affect a person before I say them. I know my mother means well but she does have an uncanny knack of planting the seed of doubt in my mind at any opportunity. I'm already going to be worried enough about the risk of another miscarriage if I get another BFP but I certainly don't need reminders. I pray all of you get your BFPs very soon. Don't give up. I'm a big believer in that if you want something badly enough it will happen. I had my first at 36 and my third at 40 (was almost 41) naturally and fell pregnant last year in June when I was 43 but miscarried at 10 weeks (just to update for anyone who doesn't know my history). :)

1moregirl, that's so awful your mom said that to you! When I told my mom recently about my repeat losses, she said "well if you do have another miscarriage, at least you already have two kids." I was flabbergasted by what she said. I know she meant well, but sometimes she doesn't realize how insensitive she can be. I think in these situations, it's just best for people to not say anything other than sorry.

You slowly wean off the foilc acid/ folate by the end of the first trimester (even if you start taking a prenatal upon BFP) and wean off of CoQ10 upon BFP.

I don't recall what my amh was but my FSH was 13 and afc 6-9 at age 33. I was sure this meant I would never conceive. I immediately started fertility acupuncture (I found out it was covered by my insurance which was a bonus), increased my CoQ10, and stopped drinking coffee. I also tried to not eat a lot of processed food. I did some fertility yoga as well.
I know some of these things sway boy but I read they helped with egg quality. I found a lot of boards with supportive women who had been through it. I ended up getting an IUI and taking clomid which ultimately helped. Thankfully it worked pretty quickly and we didn't have to pay as much as I thought we would. My RE also financed their services.
It's still very possible to get pregnant. My dr never felt like I'd have trouble despite what I read online. I felt hopeless and remember laying in my bed crying that I'd never get pregnant. I don't know if you remember but I had a cp the cycle I got my diagnosis with no medical intervention and I had just given up coffee and gone to acupuncture twice at that point.

Pbn3- your FSH is high. I was told that anything 10 and over is high. You can try taking CoQ10 at 800mg (400mg twice a day) and Ceylon cinnamon (this version is not at your grocers and doesn't thin blood like the baking version does) 1/8 teaspoon twice daily (I put 1/8 t in both of my two cups of coffee).
Just keep plugging away until you get your BFP. I was told that Femara and Clomid were not options since they work by increasing FSH and mine was already so high. According to my charts and during my AFC, I was releasing an egg so the trigger shot would have been pointless for me. I just had to keep trying and wait for a healthy egg to be released.
Because of how I struggled, I'm not sure I'm willing to try for #4. My sweet DS3 is a miracle and I'm starting to feel like I want to enjoy the kids I have.

Pinklady, Y sperm don't swim faster and X sperm don't live longer. That is a myth. Could you possibly post your chart? I'm a visual person. You can't keep testing after you get the solid smiley, as it resets. It's just a waste of test sticks. I recommend getting some cheap Wondfo strips bc you can test with those as much as you like.
Pbn3 and tfahn, I also immensely regret not having children younger when I thought I needed more money. Thank you for sharing your stories!
tfahn, I think 100mg Clomid is worth a shot though I definitely think Femara would be better at your age.

Princess and ksmom, I'm sorry you have to delay TTC, that sucks!
Pbn3, your FSH IS quite high and AMH low (though I've seen much lower conceive naturally). Clomid is worth trying but Femara would be MUCH better. I still think you'll get lucky, eventually. Hopefully sooner with med help.
lildudesez, what a miracle! I'm so happy for you. I love seeing people beat the odds.
I'm spotting and having more full on AF cramps. It was just light-brown tinted CM this am, then just now more light red. But still no flow. I'm out of ibuprofen AND stronger pain meds, I'm terrified! I wish it weren't such a hassle to get ibuprofen here. My temp did go up but I temped later than usual, and obviously I won't test in light of the spotting. I'm 13dpo.

Pbn what is your FSH number? I looked at your results but it looked like 7 to me which is not bad. As I said, mine was 13 and I still conceived naturally several times. I also had multiple follicles with 150mg clomid but other medications work well too. I just went with the cheapest. I did the trigger and IUI because they wanted all of my follicles to ovulate for the best chance at getting one. With my bfp cycle, I had two follicles.

Joining in! I got a strong positive on a Wondfo ovulation test the morning of the 11th, and we BD late that night. Hoping it wasn't too late but hubby couldn't get home any sooner. Last attempt was 5 days previous so for sure only one attempt in the fertile window. Fingers crossed for our little rainbow baby.

So sorry pbn that your results weren't what you had hoped for. Sounds promising though that you will be able to get some help & conceive.
Fx for you maiden that the spotting doesn't lead to AF.
Good luck Imd, hope you get your rainbow baby.
I've decided to only use preseed this time if not much cm. I have found that sometimes the day of o my cm won't be as much so if I need to use a bit then I will. I seem to have ewcm leading up to +opk then it goes watery near o.

Tomorrow I go for a vaginal ultrasound, hoping I have no polyps or anything wrong. Doc still wants to wait till next cycle to do the saline sono, but hoping everything is normal. So I can ttc again and not delay.
Bleeding stop last night, if everything is okay on tmrw ultrasound, I will try when I ovulate next week. Just praying everything is okay.
And sad my younger sister and my nieces moved to Florida this week, my nieces are same age as my daughter and one is 7 other is almost 5, I miss them so much already

Ovulation is typically 1-3 days after a positive opk but it can vary. There's no guarantee you'll O though as your body can gear up for it but not release the egg. Hopefully you ovulate soon. Good luck!

Ugh I know how you feel! We won't be able to try until AT LEAST May which sucks and that's provided we get the all clear from the RE to resume trying. I'm pretty much in the mindset of we won't be trying for at least a couple more cycles because I don't want to get my hopes up. Blah I hate this. I hope for you everything is all good.

Hi thanks for the reply I haven't got a chart not sure where u get that from, so just been keeping a log of my temperature and also the smiley face on my test stick. If you could refer to me where I get one from will plot the results on it. I think I ovulated on Monday, my temp went up to 37.1 from 36.9 in sunday and I had like mild crampy achey feelings. Then tuesday and Wednesday I tested again and got low fertility along with a temp drop to 36.2 on Tuesday and today. If I got pregnant not sure I've been doing anything long enough to sway pink so I will probably end up with a boy . I'm just hoping that Friday's swimmers lasted long enough to reach an egg before Sunday's might have more chance then. I've had other half taking cranberry and I'm buying him olive leaf today. What fibre supplements would you recommend ??? I feel like I've messed everything up I really have, just panicked when I saw smiley face on Sunday. I just feel like my low Amh levels make me feel like I've got a ticking time bomb inside me. If I leave it longer I might not be able to ever have another. Everyone (mum/dh) say I'm paranoid but ever since I found out it's made me feel awful.

Hi Sharon. Just thought I'd mention, I don't always get cramps when I O. Although, this last cycle I had to take a couple of panadol as the cramps were so bad but I have had plenty of cycles where I've not felt a thing at O time. And I don't always get EWCM at O either...sometimes I have that days before a pos OPK. Just to let you know that things can vary like that for each of us. Good luck and hope you get a BFP. I'll be 9DPO tomorrow. I caved and did a HPT yesterday. But of course it was negative as way too early for me anyway. :)

And it states small nabothian cyst near lower uterus and cervix I read their normal and don't cause any harm.

Got my +opk yesterday, thank goodness I convinced dh to bd the night before that as we didn't bd last night. TMI but he put some preseed on himself before bd as I had told him spit was no good but he put too much & it made him loose too much sensation so he couldn't finish. I had a temp dip today & -opks so have a feeling I have or will o today/tonight. We will bd tonight & fx 2 attempts will be enough if I have o'd today. We couldn't bd this morning as we went away for the day for appointments & had to leave early so no time.

I am 9dpo today, feel absolutely no signs of pregnancy whatsoever an a strong gut feeling that this is not my month.
I did e4d this month and jumped and dumped after 10 mins, am considering not doing jump and dump next month. On my last smear test the nurse said that my cervix is quite strangely positioned and over to the right eugh!! Obviously, this didn't stop me getting my two boys but I do wonder if this would work against me using jump and dump.
Think I will stick with e4days though, then do every 3 days the month after.
Do you think that sounds sensible? Think my husband think it's mad when I run to toilet straight after and he's all "I'm not surprised it didn't work this month!" Grrrrrr!

March 19th, 2016, 02:38 PM
Jennypenny, I think E4D is good to stick with for now (make sure to continue it even after you think you've O'ed just in case). Personally I don't do J&D but I've also been swaying a long time and I don't want to reduce my odds of conception too much. I have a tilted uterus and have found that raising my hips slightly after DTD for about 10-20 minutes helps me to get pregnant. Missionary position helps too. It may help you in your situation with your cervix being angled like that.

Doc said if I ovulate on time this month I can try, since it was just a chemical pregnancy and not far along. I have a ton of cm this month, I am finally drinking water lol. DH is making me eat a steak today we are going to have dinner. I haven't had red meat since November lol. I don't care I been way to stressful and one day won't hurt and I didn't even go over protein with the steak. I just pray to God, I get pregnant asap with a healthy baby and healthy pregnancy and hoping for another girl
Every 4 days or 3 is good too, I'm doing every 3, I won't be J & D either
I wanted to use a touch of preseed, atomic said it wouldn't effect my sway.
Does red Rasberry leaves supplement sway only blue?

I copied a link to my chart for those on tapatalk. My temp went up today but not very high. The last couple of cycles have been similar(but I changed the setting on ff so it showed o after a bigger temp rise. Last cycle ff on advanced setting said I o'd same day as +opk) so not sure if I o'd yesterday or not. Assuming that I probably have & it may take a few days for temp to rise up higher. Will bd again tonight just in case. Really wish we could have got at least 1 bd in on same day as +opk, not feeling very confident this cycle :(

I used to get pregnant soooo easily - first shot. But not this time I don't think. I don't know what's wrong. Maybe the D & C I had last August? Or maybe DH is taking a male contraception I don't know about? All of a sudden I've realised how much I want to be pregnant again just one last time and I will be devastated if it doesn't happen. One more girl don't you think being 44 is a more contributing factor more than d&c to get pregnant with one shot..
I had my first on the first night at 29 years old !! and it took me ages with my last at 36 years old it tells you how much fertility declines.. you can always try next cycle :)

No I don't think my age is contributing factor. Not at all. I have always been highly fertile. Even last year at 43 I got pregnant first try, and same when I was 40 and conceived our third child. So to not get pregnant this time (as I'm assuming I'm not) is a HUGE shock to me. I don't know what is going on but have heard that having a D & C can cause some sort of scarring and not allow you to fall pregnant again. Although my last ultrasound scan showed everything seemed to be normal.

I know I can always try again the next cycle but it's soooo hard when I want it soooo badly and my DH doesn't. It was really just luck that I got him to BD without a condom the night I got my first pos OPK this last cycle. He is usually adamant about wearing condoms, you see. So I really believed I would get pregnant straight away like I always have. We did BD with me on top and I was thinking maybe if he has low motility or something with his swimmers they just don't make it to the destination? I don't know. But I'm really bummed about it.

I'm certain I'm out and now just waiting for AF to arrive. I'm really disappointed and depressed about it. Usually one shot like what we just did is all it takes for me to get pregnant but now all of a sudden it seems sooo out of reach. Doesn't help that DH is not entirely onboard with ttc another. I feel so resentful toward him I could just about walk off and leave him, yet of course I wouldn't when we have our three beautiful children who I always put first. He is always so irritable, tired, grumpy, serious and I've just had enough of the sheer sight of him. Sorry for my negativity ladies - just can't help it right now. I wish the rest of you all the best in getting your BFPs. I had been hoping to get a BFP on 19th March as that was when my last baby was due (the one I lost last year). :(

Doctor told me I can try again, and I ask if I can have progesterone levels checked, she said it's an outdated test, and fertility specialist doesn't believe it will effect you, only suggest progesterone check if women don't ovulate.
Is this true? She also said if I spot again she will do saline sono, but if not then there no reason to.
I should be ovulating in a few days, but doubt I'll get pregnant until after my period.
Does vitex make you spot? I was thinking maybe of taking it again,
My progesterone was 5.7 at 11dpo prob was low due to miscarring I guess.
ksmom
March 21st, 2016, 04:06 PM
Princessmom I've heard that progesterone levels will adjust themselves accordingly during pregnancy but I'm no expert. My RE does check progesterone levels BUT I think at least in my case it was just part of my "cover all the bases" testing. If it really worries you, then mention it again to your doctor if you get pregnant again. I don't know if vitex would cause your spotting or not but I didn't even ovulate while taking it last summer and had breakthrough bleeding because of it. Ask Atomic for advice on it. She knows her stuff. :) I hope you get your sticky bean soon!
As for me, I had the HSG done today and my tubes are clear! The radiologist said it's possible they could have had a small blockage prior to the procedure the dye cleared out but they're clear now so it's all good! I'm so tempted to try this cycle but I have one more test to do in a couple weeks then hopefully we'll be done so we can finally have the consult with the RE.
Best of luck to all the ladies this month! FX for lots of BFPs!

Sorry jenny and 1moregirl.
1moregirl, fertility really drops off much more rapidly in the 40s, especially after 42. I wouldn't expect to conceive right away but I don't think you'll have to wait that long. I know it's hard with your DH being opposed, though. Maybe the fact that you BDed when fertile without conceiving will make him drop his guard a bit?
I freaking hate Clomid! The constant hot & sweaty upper body combined with ice cold feet and exhaustion is just crippling for me. I feel like I have the flu for over a week! I've been naughty about snacking too lately, ugh.

Thankyou Maiden. You have a gifted way with words and make me see perspective. You are sooo right. I was naive thinking that it would happen straight away. And yes - maybe it will make DH let his guard down a bit and trust me to BD more often without the condoms. I am really thinking as well that I will use my diva cup next time too after BD as I did that last year when I got a BFP and it was the only time I'd used it so worth a shot right? :)

ksmom: Amazing news!! I too, would be really tempted to try this month but I understand your reasoning for waiting; fx you get your sticky bean when you do try!
Princessmom: yay for no polyps! That is great news! My OB is the opposite as he loves checking progestrone and bloodwork is his perferred method of checking anything (including ovulation he prefers labwork over ultrasound). Personally I would stay away from vitex as it made my cycles so irregular (even more so than normal) but thats just my experience with it :)
I'm sorry Jenny :( I think it's smart to drop J&D but still dtd e3d
